The same goes for bitcoin.

Happens mostly when there is a price increase.
We will need to wait when all the transactions that are stuck are confirmed.
Miners are set automatically to confirm transactions with higher payments.
So those which have paid less will really need to wait until they clean up the high priorities tx.
More will pay more thinking there is still profit after they got out.
3422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 27, 2020, 05:03:52 AM
I watched the highlighted games of Lakers and Mavs which only make Lakers play like they don't really have the usual energy they got on the game. The only reason might be they just saving their energy for the real games which will gonna happened a few days ago from now. They need to get back on track or their dream championship will only fall in jeopardy. Honestly, if they don't get any championship in this season their team will be a laughing stock again.
Well, that is the purpose of the scrimmage, just to heat them up.
But it's also better to showcase some of their skills since fans are excited now. Lakers just avoided injuries.  Grin
If Lakers won't get this championship? Another overhaul in their roster.

Well, being a laughing stock is pretty usual on whatever team wouldn't get the ring. Lakeshow became more interesting to make fun of, because Bron was there in which everybody had their eyes on. The guy has a lot of haters  Undecided.
I don't think they will be discussed much after another team wins the championship, what will be talked about are the champions.
Then, the next season where the rookies, Giannis, Ben, draft picks will be analyzed.

4 machines in a bedroom and you sleep with it.
Yes, that is bad for your health.
You need an A/C to at least equal the amount of heat of the machines.

Sad. Could have been better if he has the space for it.
Old school mining, you put fans aimed directly to the machines because your mama will be mad if you buy an A/C.  Grin
True life story.

Damn, it's bloody.

I had been thinking lately.
Are we in the cryptocurrency industry safe from all of this?
Options:
1. Are those who will pull out their stock investment and other commodities going to switch to crypto and will start a new pump?
2. Those who are invested in both being scared will pull out everything including the investment in cryptocurrencies?

Where is the safest before everything falls?

3425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 26, 2020, 11:45:17 AM
It seems Pelicans have the same aggressive style with no defense at all but going full attack mode all the time so no wonder why they score a lot and I remember teams saying that you must focus on defend when you playing against them  Grin.

Today we have Mavs against Pacers so lets see if Mavs can keep up 2 games at the same pace against 2 great teams ( Lakers and now Pacers )

I just finished watching the highlights of the Pelicans vs. Nuggets scrimmage.
I can say they are now combining their strengths.
Everyone is contributing and being aggressive on the floor especially Jrue Holiday even though he just went in for short minutes.

How about Jaxson Hayes and Frank Jackson?
This two guys are really something else. They are already pumped up even if it's just scrimmage.
Want to see more of this guys offense when the season starts.

Mike Miller, I'm surprise, this was a Miami heat player, right?  Was it his first coaching job if ever accepted? And wait, where's Jason kidd here?
Actually we have the same thought but I experienced that a year ago.  Grin
Mike Miller the player, did push a coaching career but did resign.

On April 12, 2018, Miller was hired as an assistant coach under Penny Hardaway at the University of Memphis.[27][28] He spent two seasons with the Tigers and established himself as one of the top recruiters in the nation. On June 3, 2020, Miller resigned to spend time with his family.[29]
3426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be the best time to invest? on: July 26, 2020, 10:45:51 AM
Is it?

Ain't the best time was already far away.
If they are increasing in value, your chances of profits are already getting lower.
If you really think this is the best time then do it now.
By wasting more time, it could mean wasting profits that should have been in your pockets now.
Also, you are putting more risk to it.
Look at Ethereum. IIRC, I bought it months ago or maybe it had been a year at $230.
Now I am at gain for 79 ($309 current) per Ethereum.  Wink

So who will disturb the freethrow shooter now?  Grin Commentator said it will just be chants and boos.

Because of the technology mentioned above and based on the image below, fans can now disturb the freethrow shooter of the away team, maybe by doing several motions of their faces. It's really distracting. Cheesy Then they just need to stay put if the home team is doing the freethrow.

There it goes.
I haven't seen that update. It's just too silent when making a freethrow for both teams even if it looks like they are the home team with everything on the screen.  Thanks.

Personally, i don't like the fit here, Tibs couldn't mash with Towns, Wiggins and LaVine, then as a GM cooked up a horrible trade giving so much for a half a season with Jimmy Butler. Knicks have a bunch of young dudes, just like Wolves did, imo Mike Woodson or Kenny Atkinson would've been a better choice.

What do you think, Thibodeau good fit for the Knicks or it doesn't matter who the head coach is as long as Dolan is still there?  Grin
Great names in the choices.

The Knicks' head coaching search, as of Monday morning, has been rumored to involve ten different candidates. Tom Thibodeau, Kenny Atkinson, Mike Miller, Mike Woodson, Ime Udoka, Pat Delany, Chris Fleming, Will Hardy, Jamahl Mosley, and Mike Brown will all interview for the lead coaching position in New York, with Thibodeau as the reported preferred candidate.
Let's see what he can do with this young players.
Can he make RJ Barrett shine as how Ja and Zion shines now.

Out of the 2 days scrimmages what teams are the most fun to watch?
I love how Toronto and Houston played a speed game.
A lot of hustle from the 2nd and 3rd stringers is good to uplift their confidence and get ready for the real game.

3429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrow is a must to avoid disappointment on: July 25, 2020, 10:18:58 AM
It's becoming more harder for new projects team to keep their promises to bounty hunters, some even said bounty hunters are getting free tokens for free, meaning bounty hunters aren't recognized for their work, I suggest all bounty managers to start using ESCROW.

I believe with escrow payment will be guaranteed, team won't be able to go back on their words, bitwings for example, after a complete year of waiting for payment they decide to do another audit on spreadsheet and they falsely accused bounty hunters without any proof.

Bounty Detective is the only bounty manager using escrow, if many bounty managers start using escrow it will be better.

I beg to disagree, Julerz escrowed bounty tokens for bounty hunters and all bounty hunters have received their tokens, some managers are escrowing the bounty token which is good, but if the team is trusted and they show good will it's ok not to do escrow especially if the bounty manager is part of the team, like what Oikos has done.

Correct.
I saw that too.
Even with the most trusted member doing escrow, it ends there.

The project can still fail and that coin will just be another trash in your wallet.
It's difficult to make arrangement on how bounty hunters could be assured to be paid.
It had always been a risk when you join those bounties. You cannot assume it will always end up better.
Best thing you could do is filter what project you will join in.

~i looked around and read some blogs about crypto, the 1st point everyone says is they dont trust their central bank.
where can central bank run with whole countries wealth?, out of this planet? is there a real reasons to not trust central bank or they dont trust because everyone says they dont trust? just like news channels play mindgames on election time. again im not supporting anyone, its a genuine question i want to know why everyone dont trust their central bank.

It's getting far from losing $900.
Maybe you are just on the wrong blog. Have you thought about that?
Maybe you just didn't read more before making a transaction in cryptocurrencies.

If you preferred fiat then stay that way. You tried to sell your goods in a different way which you are not used to or know nothing about.
You cannot just blame that with your mistakes or lack of knowledge.
Move on, learn from it. There will always be scammers everywhere, in fiat or in cryptocurrencies.

You don't know how many of us have done mistakes too and lose a lot more than that.
The difference is we don't blame the technology.
Sorry for your loss.
3431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 25, 2020, 04:54:02 AM
As you can see, Spurs has a high odds, so that means they have a lesser chance to qualify this season.

It's expected already that Spurs playoffs consecutive streak will now be broken this season. I want them to see at the Playoffs but even I want to be positive on that, chances are very slim. The environment inside the bubble might be new to other teams but that won't excuse the whole Spurs team too. A complete Spurs is already struggling so what's more if one of their main players is out.

And sports bookies even try to include the Mavericks on that betting to trap those newbies. Cheesy

Crap!
I didn't realize that.
Who would think the Mavs would suddenly fall at the 8th seed for those 8 games.
They are already away by 8 wins against the Grizzlies.
If I am not mistaken, they won't even need to win. Or they need at least 1?
A low chance considering their roster is still intact. Hell! even if something went wrong they could still get that 1 win.

Then, the Grizzlies will need a perfect 8 wins to make it happen which is almost impossible since teams in the lower seeds will try their best to snatch a win.

Profit = TW * HE * 0.5 * YI / TI

TW - total wager from all gamlbers
HE - house edge
YI - your investment
TI - total invested by all investors

Once again, thank you for the deep explanation. It really cleared everything. (Sorry mate, my Smerits is depleted, I owe you some for your help)
Looking at the Doge investment structure, it's above 10 percent profit for most of the listed there.
The only negative I saw was 2 days ago. Maybe someone won a large amount.
I have a decision now.  Wink

I was just like you, trying to learn more about those things until I found Yatsan topic and tried to see what will happen when I join.
In fact I learned more, was a little bit disappointed since I thought my profit will be decent and especially green all the time and obviously it turned to be inaccurate.
I believe I submitted throughout this topic what I noticed especially in the first days. The essential part invest what you afford to lose Wink
Yeah, it's like passing the torch.
I learned thru snipie and Yatsan too. A lot.
It's spreading like a wildfire.  Grin

It is okay to ignore BCH but I dont think it is easy to ignore XRP. Grin

BNB though is in its right place.
It's best used for the Binance exchange and they are not going out of that box.
I have invested in it before but sadly I withdrew early.
Ethereum still have lots to happen. The staking process may not be hyped much yet. Maybe when its really near.

Chances to be in the number 8 spot can also be seen in the betting odds

As you can see, Spurs has a high odds, so that means they have a lesser chance to qualify this season.

That's nice! This is new, right? I mean, did they update it just now?
Oh, I am going to bet for one team there and it may not be Grizzlies.  Grin
Look at this great numbers. (drooling)
https://sportsbet.io/sports/basketball/usa/nba/outrights

I might be crazy but who knows.
The new environment could ruin something and it might change the direction of who will get that 8th seed.
It's a risk, but that is the definition of gambling.  Grin

Can you bet Playoffs NO to Orlando @13.38 then YES to Wizards @12.57? Please check, I cant find my log in details.

We still have no assurance about that.
But I am glad to hear that over and over again.

Of course, he doesn't want his baby to be hurt.
He created Bitcoin with good intentions. But, do remember people could change or worse he trusted someone else with those coins and shared the private keys. That one could make a bad decision anytime.
I guess we will just know if that thing happens. It may not be now or we won't even see it happen.
3436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 24, 2020, 11:19:56 AM
To sum it up.
The players did good.
They played like it was a real game already and not a scrimmage. That's the good thing about this.

It would turn into intense match-up later on specially for those teams vying for the eight spot. Well, I'm really glad, that they look like, they didn't lost their touch on the game.
Stars just used a little minutes on the first, so they gave a good game without messing it up.  Grin
It's just a scrimmage so that's okay.

About the Spurs, I have been looking at the whole game and I thought I missed something.
Yes, I did.
Patty Mills did not play although 2 days ago he and Poeltl said they are excited about the scrimmage.
This could be the reason.
https://www.poundingtherock.com/2020/7/23/21336145/what-we-learned-from-the-spurs-scrimmage-loss-to-the-bucks
Quote
Bryn Forbes came off the bench for just the second time in two seasons and finished the game with seven points on 1-5 from three. Patty Mills was on the sidelines but didn’t play — this must have been a classic “rest” game for him — so it remains to be seen if the point of Forbes coming off the bench was to replace Mills’ shooting with the second unit, or if Pop really is committed to finding more starting minutes for White and/or Walker. Only time will tell.
Pops may be cooking something to fill the hole from the missing Lamarcus.
3437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: July 24, 2020, 09:34:05 AM
Take into account the currency risk (BTC is like a stable coin compared to DOGE) and small sample error (DOGE is after big whale loosing a lot while BTC is after big whale winning a lot) and you have your investment analysis ready.

Oh! Thanks for the reminder.
I forgot about the price fluctuation of Doge. I should have also considered that.

You can calculate estimated ROI based on current investors performance - yolodice share this data - https://yolodice.com/#stats/investor

DOGE estimated ROI based on 7 months investment - 186% per 7 months = 16,25% monthly = 500% profit annulay
ETH estimated ROI based on 7 months investment - 36% per 7 months = 4,5% monthly = 69% profit annulay
LTC estimated ROI based on 7 months investment - 72% per 7 months = 8,1% monthly = 154% profit annulay
BTC estimated ROI based on 7 months investment - 72% per 7 months = 1,0% monthly = 13% profit annulay

So it's really Doge which is winning.
Perhaps because of the cheap price? Which means you can own a large quantity.
My instincts could be telling me that I will be doing the right thing.
Yeah, thank you for explaining it thoroughly.
I haven't gone thru that stats of Yolodice for investment, or if I dd, I may have not understand it pretty well before.  Grin
Sorry I am still new to this.
3438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: July 24, 2020, 08:09:32 AM
That could be me. I had $250 in BTC inside, but after several weeks of contant loss, i decided to call it quits, and try something new. I lost in total $3 which is not much.
But on the flipside, those $250 i took out and reinvested are now worth $280, so gg for me

You reinvested where? In bitcoin?
I have a balance now and thinking of putting it in a different coin.
Or, should I just add it in the bitcoin investment.
Having a difficult time to decide.

Looking at the number of bettors, they mostly use Doge, so could it be a better choice or will that only make it worse.
Sorry, I had a lot of question. Just a little confused.
3439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 24, 2020, 06:14:52 AM
- NBA put several screens in the arena, making the arena dark around so players somehow don't feel empty.
This is right.
It's like the arena is lacking in contrast and brightness and you could notice it in the video too.
- Players' bench area is three rows of socially distanced seats for players when they are not on the floor.
Why would they even distance them if after every quarters or a good dunk they will get close and do handshakes and other things?
- The usual chant or music of the home-team will be heard on the game. Yes, even playing in the same arena, there are still home and away teams as usual.
Which is cool. They still want the home team to feel at home. But, it looks like it doesn't work.  Grin
- The banners or everything related to the home team will be placed on LED boards to turned the arena into their home court.
- About the number of audiences, on the recent Clippers vs Magic scrimmage match, there are around 200 spectators composed of staff, media, etc.
So who will disturb the freethrow shooter now?  Grin Commentator said it will just be chants and boos.

To sum it up.
The players did good.
They played like it was a real game already and not a scrimmage. That's the good thing about this.
Edit: For Mavs and Lakers. I haven't watched the other games yet.

3440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin sites - Alexa ranking on: July 23, 2020, 04:20:26 PM
Alexa rankings are not accurate and better stop using Alexa much better check them on similarweb.com it will give you better data about the website rankings.

Thanks, man!
That's a lot of help. Didn't know about that since I am also using Alexa as OP did.

Also, when people ask about Bitcoin from friends, I'm assuming a far more frequent response is "go to blockchain.com and create a wallet", rather than "go to bitcoin.org and read about it".
So true!
Some of them won't even realize there is forum like bitcointalk even though they had been accumulating bitcoin for years.
They had been checking balances and transactions in blockchain, so yes more clicks and more visits.
Easy to receive the highest rank.
I see that as a positive thing though. Is it?  Grin
