3421  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fast ways to lose money trading on: January 02, 2021, 12:54:23 PM
I think everything you listed can be summarized into the list I have below. There are three important factors that you should be considering when trading.
  • Making sure you are Risk Managing - Trade limits, Stop losses per trade, How much you are going to risk, etc.
  • Be Emotionless - Don't get affected by your positions. Never act emotionally
  • Aim for the long run

Trading is a marathon. It's aiming to be alive and kicking in the long run and having continuous profits. As long as you are profiting, whether small or big, be happy and stay above water. Never risk too much. Have a trading plan and take advantage of compounding interest.
3422  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $2000 - 233 USDT Gain after 21 Days on: January 02, 2021, 07:27:07 AM
Happy! Happy new year everyone! Great start for the year. As we have started this challenge, it was a long time position but now, the XMR has finally been removed and it provided a good profit. Not bad for the start of the year, hopefully, continuous throughout 2021. Let's see how the market will turn the tides. If Gunbot can continuously make a profit in this volatile market.

I withdrew 25 USDT for the expense cost for the VPS. This will be a monthly plan so I will withdraw monthly as well for the expense. At the end of this month, I will make sure to withdraw something for myself as well. Lol.

Current positions are
  • USDT-XLM : Short
  • USDT-ATOM : Long

3423  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are there any relationship between Gold and Bitcoin ? on: January 01, 2021, 03:42:13 PM
As everyone should know, the market consists of different people, and we are all connected depending on how much people are involved in both parties. Let's see the current situation. We have reached a new ATH, and we continue to rise. It’s probably because the money in Gold was withdrawn and Input into BTC. This is possible but cannot be proven totally. Maybe through indicators like volume to determine if there is an increase in the following asset pump and a decrease in the asset dump.

It’s all speculation, though. What matters is to be continuously investing and trying to compound your account.
3424  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is debt on: December 31, 2020, 12:26:25 PM
How about non-collateral loans? LOL, just kidding.

Anyways Debt is something that surrounds life, but it’s not about that that that you incurred during your lifetime because some people don’t even borrow money for the sake that they can live without it. Still, they aren’t risking anything at all as well, so they are not gaining too. It’s determining the right balance in which has that is not the end but knowing how to pay for it as time goes by is the key towards having a great life.

Maybe you are talking about the giving and taking principle or something to that sense.
3425  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $2000 - 233 USDT Gain after 21 Days on: December 31, 2020, 05:34:23 AM
I have noticed that once I had deposited a larger amount of money (for the compounding balance effect), it had started to become steeper and my average daily profit now is 11 USDT per day. This is the average since the start of this experiment. You could see the start of the steeper line after the red markings in the graph. Look at the image below.

This is somewhat expected, but at least there's definite proof of the compounding effect. And the initial goal right now is to reach $5000 and then $10000.

3426  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $2000 - 200 USDT Gain on: December 30, 2020, 12:05:11 PM
Updated the OP. Current positions are shown in the picture below.

I'm into future trading on Binance too but for me it's really hard to understand at first and my balance was wrecked in just a matter of minutes.
I'm really sorry for your loss. You shouldn't dwell immediately when dealing with Futures trading because it's a risky market when you have limited tools to use with.

Are you giving your positions for free? This is really great I think I should be following you for a while those gain of yours are pretty decent amount.
I don't hold positions because my strategy is with market making. So I produce a lot of volume in a matter of minutes in trading. I cannot share any position because it's not a swing trade. I could give you a list of my profitable pairs if you like. It's profitable in a sideways market and even more profitable if you are in the right position (Long/Short).

I'm not familiar with Gunbot was that a free Bot or we need to pay in order to use it?
Gunbot is not free. It's a trading tool with a one-time payment fee. It's not a subscription and it's not a cloud service. You install it on your computer and you run it at your own pace. I would help you if you want to set it up.

Asking for crwth and cryptoadditchie for vouch as they know me personally.
Vouching for cabalism13. He messaged me that he needs some help and if vouching for him is going to help him then I will do it. I do know him personally and I believe the funds will help his uncle.  He sent me some details about what happened and it really saddens me to see some of the pictures. I hope you guys consider his request with regards to it.
3428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much btc do you need to secure your future? on: December 29, 2020, 07:27:02 AM
That's definitely a pretty hard decision to tell because you will never know who you will be like and what happenings you can encounter in the future. Personally, I would want more BTC just to feel that I am secured that I wouldn't have to worry about any negative thing that could happen in my life. Imagine being able to pay hospital bills with BTC that you have earned for the past few years. That's a great blessing. I would've hoped to have more to be secure and to be able to help more people with having BTC.

With a large sum of money, it's definitely an opportunity to help others who need it more than me.
3429  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $2000 - 200 USDT Gain on: December 29, 2020, 06:49:52 AM
Currently, the trading range is around 166.473 and 156.63, which are my support and Resistance. In my chart, the current prices are below the EMA (22) that is plotted. That's just the first range, but the second support I want the price to break is around 152. So it would possibly continue to go in a downtrend. The chart is for the USDT-XMR pair in Binance Futures. My current bag, lol.

I have updated the OP with the following positions and profits. We have reached a profit of 200 USDT after 19 days! This is a great start. Hopefully, we could see the fruition of this experiment.
3430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP - The 2nd Biggest Scam in Digital Currency History on: December 29, 2020, 02:04:16 AM
I'm not sure what would happen to those custodial wallets that are accepting XRP as their currency. Like in my country, they accept it, and it seems to be still operational. I'm hoping that it wouldn't be the case that it goes to 0. I wouldn't hope for USDT as well to become unusable and no value. I hope that everything would come to great terms for everyone. Some people rely on it, but I guess it's just going to be their lesson once it happens.

Is there any statement from the banks that are linked to XRP?
3431  Other / Meta / Re: Can we, forum users, affect the bitcoin price? on: December 28, 2020, 01:42:13 PM
If the person is searching for knowledge and resource materials, they will probably not stop into written articles by a single site. They would be looking towards different resources that could support their studies regarding anything about cryptocurrency. Almost everything is already here in the forum, and you just have to use the search bar if you really are interested in it.

In general, as forum users, we will be the outlines of the faces of crypto users. I assume people who are noticing the rise in the price of BTC has created the want to research Bitcoin again and would stumble here. If they see a topic that they agree with, they might become users themselves. Still, if they stumbled upon a topic that they don't necessarily agree with, then they wouldn't be interested in participating in discussions here, hence, fewer people if there are fewer people involved, less demand.

There may be a correlation, but there's still no definite exact measurement of how to determine how much we are impacted. For sure, we all want Bitcoin to the moon, but would visitors feel the same way and act on it by buying BTC?
3432  Economy / Services / Re: Duelbits.com | Artwork Contest - 6 winners ~$1050 up for grabs! | Ends Dec. 22! on: December 28, 2020, 01:29:31 PM
Congratulations everyone! I'm happy to have participated in this contest. I hope there would be more in the future. The winners truly deserve their rewards. Maybe in the future, there would be categories as well, just like what Insanerman suggested.

Cheers, Duelbits, and to different kinds of Mr. Ace!
3433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: did I make mistake? on: December 28, 2020, 09:20:53 AM
IIRC, ETH reached an ATH almost at the same time as BTC. It's just that right now, what we are experiencing, has reached nowhere near its ATH with ETH but multiple times with BTC. It's just that, as you said, the domination with the market cap is large now, and it's all in BTC. Maybe you have made the right decision, maybe not, but as long as you are taking risk management with the right discipline, you could never go wrong in your decision.

3435  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice for newbies to Bitcoin on: December 28, 2020, 06:24:30 AM
Even though many people have been exploring this, there are still people who will experience negative stuff because they don't understand the experience yet. It's about time they do if ever it happens. We don't want that, but that's just the reality that we have right now. Everything is really worth agreeing upon, but sometimes it's just the matter of being there to experience.

Personally, I have some bad moments in crypto. When I'm starting to get into the cryptocurrency world, I have tried day trading, and I was impatient and emotional. Feeling like the market is within my fingers, but that's just the sad part. You really need to be rekt to learn. I think no matter what people do, they will sooner or later experience that loss that we all have probably experienced in any matter, shape, or form.

It's never assured to continue going up, but it's not assured to continue going down as well. The market still dictates it.
3436  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $2000 - 5.83% gain after 15 Days on: December 28, 2020, 02:30:31 AM
This is the best performing day yet with the bot. Had around 38 USDT profit in a single day. This puts us at an 8.93% cumulative profit and loss percentage.

I had deposited 427 USDT for additional capital to make more room to DCA the XMR bag. The average entry price is around 143.79. This puts us close to the lowest low in the last weeks. Maybe it will reach that support line of 142 soon.

Updated the OP with the current stats.
3437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost 20% of Paypal Users Trade Bitcoin Using the App on: December 27, 2020, 03:46:20 PM
I still think that PayPal has made it more applicable to everyone but the fact that you cannot withdraw BTC from them, it's a shame. Unless there is now.
That will not happen soon, unfortunately. And if it might in a few years for the US customers I doubt they will do it for anything outside Canada or the EU.
It will be a pain in the ass for them, it will also lead to a lot of shady activity and I can understand them, they will not get that much growth in business to offset the troubles it will cause.
Maybe the one they're aiming for is the increase of the stack of BTC that they have, knowing that they would be able to cash out more in the future or something. At least in the US, there are already a lot of crypto users and interested people using PayPal already and could potentially earn more from them with this setup. If they become successful, I think they would also apply it to other regions as well.
3438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This what the paypal CEO said years ago about Bitcoin on: December 27, 2020, 03:23:36 PM
You will see how someone would change in a few years and change their outlook on what things are. Anyways, if you focused and watched the video, you would see "Former PayPal CEO," so it's a different person throughout. Bill Harris is the one who is interviewed there, and the current PayPal CEO is Daniel Schulman.

I hope you would really pay attention to these kind of details because it's spreading fake news.
3439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: December 27, 2020, 06:23:11 AM

What! betting on how long it would last? That's really insane actually. Yeah, I agreed if ever there is a kind of project like that, it shouldn't be entertain anyway. Besides, there are a lot of opportunity out there in our surroundings that better those kind of things. Covid anyhow was a very serious problem that remain a problems for less than a year now.
There are just some greedy people who thought that "what's the current trend be like?" "How do we take advantage of this?" "Let's make a gamble and let people predict how long this virus is going to infect people around the world." Definitely greedy people who want more.

You know that it's already been a year since its first sighting, but the pandemic that the WHO suggested will be a year in a couple of months from now. It's taking a toll on everyone, and some new strains are being discussed. I hope there would be a vaccine sooner.
3440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost 20% of Paypal Users Trade Bitcoin Using the App on: December 27, 2020, 06:09:22 AM
Glad to see individuals are interested in using bitcoins. However, it's exceptionally hazardous for individuals who live outside the US.
On the off chance that your account gets restricted, you can lose your all bitcoin, and they'll freeze forever.
I trust 20% of people groups have a place with the United States. If they're exchanging outside the US, their cash is exceptionally hazardous.
I don't think you will get restricted because PayPal is only letting US Citizens trade it accordingly. Maybe they could somehow get PayPal credits and exchange them for whatever they desire but they couldn't get the Bitcoin out anymore. Maybe if they have transactions outside the US and go directly to PayPal (if they accept BTC deposits) then convert it and transfer to another PayPal account using credits or something.

I believe the reason for people to have an increase in crypto users using PayPal because they are the ones offering the service. It has been made available to people who have no access to it previously but supports cashless payments etc.

I still think that PayPal has made it more applicable to everyone but the fact that you cannot withdraw BTC from them, it's a shame. Unless there is now.
