3421  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My exorbitant lessons in last bull market on: October 18, 2022, 11:11:28 PM
What is your exorbitant lesson investing in crypto last bull market (2021-2022)? I will like to share mine...

1. I watch YouTube videos of people gambling on meme coins with just 100$ and making thousands of dollars, I did the same and I ended up with tokens that I can't sell on an exchange, buying works but not selling.

Right, those Youtube influencers could be part of the project itself and obviously shilling and showing some proof that you can make thousands of dollars. Nevertheless, it's a game that not everyone could win, specially if you don't know anything about it.

2. Friends told me that Vitalik have promised Proof of Stake on Ethereum for years and it never came to past, I believe them and invested in Eth mining equipment, I am now selling to gamers since they are not profitable, not even a bit.

At least you can still make money out of your old ETH mining equipment. And used this money to re-invest on just solid coins only.

3. 100k per BTC nearly brainwashed me, I escaped this though but I really believed it, if I had some funds at the time I might have invested on BTC at ATH, thinking its going to 100k.

Everyone was lead to believed that $100k is going to be our minimum all time high last bull run. However, these predictions are just wild guesses so take everything with a grain of salt. And there is no expect in the crypto price prediction, just remember that.
3422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 18, 2022, 10:44:31 PM
There is hype is this fight, it's that there are so many professional fights that is worth talking and we all know that this is just a exhibition fight to begin with.

But with Manny entering the world of entertainment and exhibition fight, for sure this is just a test on his part. Yes, he is present in Floyd's fight in Japan and Floyd even travel to the Philippines. So I expect that this is just the beginning for Manny and there will be another one in the future, maybe in Japan or Saudi Arabia wherein Manny has a lot of fans as well.
3423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 18, 2022, 10:19:42 PM
Looking forward to seeing the NBA season kick things off tonight on TNT. With Ernie and the guys signing long extensions that certainly made them crazy rich,

It's the chemistry of these 4 that really separate them from the rest of the basketball analyst (whether player or not). So it's good to see him back for another run.

I’m sure the aura will be extremely positive. Really looking forward to seeing the Warriors and Lakers, but I suspect that Golden State will be leaving with the W. Philly and Boston will probably be less fun to watch but likely a more exciting game. I’m just glad to be watching NBA basketball again!

Yes, just good to see NBA basketball again, we might have to see for the regular season, but at least we have a taste or preview of what the current team is going to offer and who has the potential to win the trophy for his season.
3424  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: October 18, 2022, 10:06:58 PM

So lahat nasa kamay nya, galingan nya ngayon at tumulong ulit syang mag champion ang Warriors.
3425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Estrada vs Chocolatito - Trilogy - Dec 3, 2022 on: October 17, 2022, 11:53:45 PM
i'm rooting for Chocolatito to win, I think he is more technical so he will likely win this fight. it's a trilogy that but I'm not so excited on this one as it's not the same as the other trilogy where the fight was really close. Well, I might be wrong, but I see this fight to end up a one sided fight only, that's in favor to Chocolatito.

The majority of us here picked Chocolatito, but it could be a new fight if one of them shows something new here, the first two-fight was dominated by Chocolatito many thought he wins the match, this is what happen the fight was left in the hands of the judges, I have seen so many controversial fights and this one is included, I hope this time they picked the right judges and the winner deserves his win, there could be no fourth fight between the two, they just need to pick the right set of judges
Yeah, there will be no 4th fight if Chocolatito will win this fight, it's better if he could just KO Estrada so judges decision is not anymore necessary. Estrada is a very aggressive fighter, with a great timing, I think Chocolatito could finish him. Lots of good fights this coming December, hopefully I'm wrong with my prediction so somehow could I could enjoy this fight.

But it will be a big task for Chocolatito to knock out Estrada because the latter has a good chin. But if Chocolatito will win here, if might be in the judges score card and then another close fight. Unless Gonzalez show his age in this fight then this could be a dominant win by Estrada.

Still far but hopefully the judges will be fair. This is a high stake fight and for sure the judges that are going to be assigned here should not be biased.

Don't worry about getting your predictions mate, just enjoy the fight because for sure as others put it, this is going to be war.
3426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 17, 2022, 11:34:45 PM
Ok, I don't think that someone has posted a video of Ortiz as we mostly talked about Loma and his comeback back.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8qBBb0Jn_c

So what do you guys think? Is this kind of performance against former champion in Herring will upset Loma? Or the kid has a lot to learn still as he have said in the post fight interview. Things that he needs to improved. Nevertheless, it's priceless experience just to share the ring with Loma and it can bring something to Ortiz who is still very young at 26 years old.
3427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 17, 2022, 11:14:43 PM

I guess if we look at NBA's history in recent years, team owners would rather invest on young players. Just like in the case of Poole and Wiggins, they see the this 2 might be their future superstar and that it could bring them more championship, so it's a no brainer to offer them good contracts.

We can't read Green's mind but for sure, he either appreciate and very happy for the 2 or he just wish that the Warriors are going to offer him a good contract as well, so will see.

NBA has quite learned a lot in the past years when they saw those star players when getting old does not really play like how they were in their mid-20s and its a waste of money if they gonna extend them furthermore with hundreds of millions when they cannot really play the same or bring the team to the Finals. Some players are only good in the early years of their careers and only a few like LBJ can maintain their productivity on the court the rest are just backup players when they get old like Green and they only need fewer payments when they're not in their prime anymore.

Those are good elite players, Jordan, Kobe and Lebron to name a few. However, in Draymond Green's career, I wouldn't call him elite, yes he is a good defensive player and a team leader. But as you age, and in his case, his skills are going down very fast and if I'm not mistaken, his numbers is the worst in his career if not one of the worst last season. So it's very important for the Warriors to really think about him whether to let him go or offer him but not a contract that he wants.

Draymond was just an ordinary NBA Player if he didn't won a championship. Because he played with the best team in the NBA that's why he became popular, and in fairness to him although he does not have an exceptional talent, but the team really struggle if Draymond Green is not around, especially in big games.

It's probably they miss Green leadership or his contribution like their best defensive man and then setting up their two scorer, in Steph and Klay and now they have 3 in Poole.

But as I have said, his game is going down and I would agree with Poole, as per report this is what he said that's why Green was so mad at him, is that Draymond is a single triple. So that says a lot about the numbers he put in last season. And if that numbers goes down again this season, then maybe the Warriors will not sign him up for a good contract.
3428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can i post satoshi posts in other forums here? on: October 17, 2022, 10:58:55 PM
I don't know what the contents of the links you shared are because as soon as a clicked on one of them I ended up viewing a wall of text membership contract crap and I didn't go any further.

Is it possible for you to quote exactly what is said in the post or even screen shoot it?
I am not about to sign up for their bullshit

Right, and so I don't want to take that risk as well so I didn't click and read what's the supposedly "proof".

Nevertheless, as others have said, it's just a signature, and it may not have any weight on the discussion. But it was a good try on the part of that person.

A lot has been said or at least everyone has it's own conspiracies as who is Satoshi is. But the man decided not to show his face but his legacy.
3429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: October 17, 2022, 10:46:28 PM
Haney was smart because he made the right adjustment, but when Haney adjusted, Kambosos should also counter it, but it didn't happen, he stick with his strategy despite the fact that Haney had already read it, Kambosos was lucky that Haney is not a KO artist, if he was, that fight would certainly end in KO.

I think the outcome would be different if Haney is a knock-out artist as he will be the aggressor and prone to Kambosos' counters just like what happened to Teofimo Lopez. Haney's style has brought him this far and the only downside of his style is how to draw a large crowd to watch his fights because, to be honest most of the fans are not excited to watch his fights.

And that is the ironic part of it, Haney is now the man, accomplished so much already and yet he didn't get the respect and recognition he deserved because of his style because as you have said, and I agree with it, that Haney's style if very boring or at least he doesn't have the persona that you hate him that's why you will go and watch his fight because you want to witness him getting knock out. On the other hand, the brandish style of King Ryan and Tank Davis is what the fans wanted to see. That's why even though they don't have any regular belt, their fight will made a lot of money and hype as compare to Haney defending all the belts against Kambosos the 2nd time around.
3430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: October 17, 2022, 10:31:05 PM
It is not possible to investigate money laundering for a casino company. Moreover, if the casino companies start that investigation, they will have to face big loses in the casino business. That no one wants to do it. It would seem logical if the investigation was given to the Ministry of Finance or any other related organization. Otherwise it is never possible to reduce money laundering.

If it's impossible for them, they why they have the KYC?

I don't think it's impossible for them, but what i think is there aren't interested at all, because if start a money laundering investigation means to lose some high rollers, then it isn't business at all for the house. That's why the best option for them is to keep those users and don't blame them for their illicit actions.

KYC requirement is a mandate coming from the regulators, so if a casino is licensed, they have to implement that KYC as a basic requirement. When it comes to investigation, usually it's the authorities that will do a more thorough investigation and the role of the casino is just to provide the information to the authorities, or the anti-money laundering agency to be specific.

And as far as I know, online casino's have their own fraud and investigation department that oversee everything, specially suspicious activities in their platform. So if they suspect something is not right, they may have to ask the mandated KYC and then start the investigation. And if they need the authorities or at least it has been flag down as a launderer, then they will have to work hand and hand with them and the agency will have finally decided if the person is indeed a criminal. At least that's how I see the process, so KYC is a must now.
3431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 17, 2022, 09:41:09 PM
Only time can tell, as I have said, for this year the fight is not going to happen. And maybe the negotiations is already dead at this point.

But I think this fight can still be salvage and be made for next year, for sure the money is going to be to big that both camp can't refuse it, and maybe they are just looking for the perfect time to have this fight. We compare this to Floyd vs Manny, lots of stumbling block but in the end it got to be made.
3432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 17, 2022, 09:26:12 PM
As as expected, Wilder going back to his one punch KO. And as I have said, Wilder coming in low in this fight, so he might be looking to be back in his old self, knocking out opponents.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9SGBvouy7U

You can see that once Wilder touches Helenius, it's over, look at the eye of Helenius in the canvass, it's scary.

On cameras, that right punch does not even looked scary. Just a jab. But it was enough to drop Helenius down Cheesy That only shows that both fighters are on different levels. Helenius was to slow for Wilder. Where Helenius throw single punch, Wilder answers with changing position and 2-4 punches. I knew that Wilder would drop him down, but I though Helenius would last at least 2-3 rounds. Instead it took less than 3 minutes Smiley

Deontay Wilder do not have the best boxing ability but the man is blessed with enormous power. It was not a jab, it was a short right but more than enough to put Robert Helenius to sleep. Helenius was only a come-back fight for him. Ruiz name was mentioned as next. If not Ruiz, I like Wilder to face all the number one ranked of the four major belts, Joyce, Dubois, Hunter and Hrgović.

Yes, it was not a jab, it was really a power punch, however ,what is scary is that he didn't even put 100% on that shot and yet we see how powerful it was as Helenius went to the canvass. And with that kind of power, anything is possible, round 1 or round 12.

I came to watch the other fight between Caleb Plant and Anthony Dirrell. I was hyped by the build up, they hate each other. In the fight Plant planted Dirrell to the grave. What a masterful attack by Plant to deliver that KO.

Leading up to the fight, this 2 really hate each other and I will say that it was a back and forth fight. Until Plant hit him with that left hook, both of them throwing at the same time, but it was Plant that connected first with that solid hook. Reminds of Nonito's destructing left hook during his prime. Possible candidate of knock out of the year, together with Wilder's knockout of Helenius.
3433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double Unification Fights: Shields vs Marshall / Mayer vs Baumgardner on: October 17, 2022, 09:02:53 PM
Read a report and Mayer says she was robbed and  Baumgardner Knows That She Lost.

Quote
"I do believe I won strongly," Mayer said to Sky Sports. "I was very confident, my corner was confident, and you know my corner, my coach, he doesn't mess around and he tells me the truth.

https://www.boxingscene.com/mikaela-mayer-i-genuinely-believe-baumgardner-knows-she-lost--169801

As I have scored it, I favor Baumgardner winning her and I don't think that Mayer was robbed. Of course there are rounds that are very close, but the way I see it, Baumgardner has the edge with her jabs.

I think there is no rematch clause as Baumgardner will fight Hyun-Mi Choi, the WBA champion.
3434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: October 17, 2022, 08:45:46 PM
Yes, I think this is a good match for Casimero, a comeback fight for the brandish Filipino hehehe. For sure many of us here have missed him against Butler and that he should have the opportunity to face Inoue. Anyhow, his team learn their mistakes so it's somewhat John Riel is on a comeback trail. And with that, Casimero will be looking for a sensational win against Akaho in December. I'm expecting no less than a war and Casimero winning by knock out.

3436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: October 17, 2022, 10:23:48 AM
Elon Musk is a great investor. Invested huge amount in bitcoins but he sold them at one point and the price of bitcoins went down a bit. He was personally investing in altcoins which did not bode well later. But if he invests bitcoin now in present then bitcoin can give some movement which will be of great benefit later.

Great investors? Are you sure, in this case Elon Musk is a businessman who will take advantage of any opportunity, including by hyping the crypto market with his Twitter. He is indeed very influential because Elon is the richest person in the world today. Bitcoin does not only need Elon Musk, there are other factors that will affect it and Elons Musk is not the only one, he is just a rich person or businessman who has a lot of money who can manipulate it easily for personal gain.
So keys Bitcoin to $100k not just Elon Musk.

What do you except, there's no doubt that he had built his empire with timely decision and yeah probably in it's early years he has been a investors as well.

But as far as bitcoin and crypto, it's a different ball game for Elon. He might have manipulate the price early, but bitcoin investors are smart that we know what he did in the market early. So yeah, Musk is no the only one that can move the market to 6 digits, it's us, everyone who believed in bitcoin and what it can bring for us in the future.
3437  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: October 17, 2022, 10:09:19 AM

3438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 16, 2022, 11:45:16 PM
What I'm curious about is why does Crawford still holding on to this fight? It's almost clear that the opposite camp is playing games on him to make their chances on winning go higher, in my opinion, Crawford must fight another opponent while this undisputed fight is not on play.

Because the negotiation can't still be considered a 100% failure.

True. It's not yet a failure unless they said that they can't agree on terms and moving on with their career and have a schedule bout with other opponents.

Even though there's a low chance for this fight to happened, there might be some things that are still being discussed to truly make it officially fail, or who knows the other way around which is positive news. They can't just go negotiating on another match that easily.

Don't worry though as even before, both boxers have a "backup plan" if this fight is not materialized.

Definitely something is still cooking behind the scene that's why is it very quiet right now. But for the hope of seeing this fight this year, we might as well say goodbye to that.

But they can still sit and talk and maybe look for the next option next year, maybe in the first quarter.
3439  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is about to have its biggest monthly gain since October 2021. on: October 16, 2022, 11:26:41 PM
Although today there are still countries that have not legalized Bitcoin, but this cannot stop the rapid development of Bitcoin. Even the demand
for Bitcoin continues to increase, that's because traders or investors who come from countries that consider Bitcoin illegal still have ways to invest
in Bitcoin. This means that people who buy Bitcoin are not only from people who come from countries whose governments legalize Bitcoin,
but nowadays quite a lot of people living in countries that think Bitcoin is illegal can buy Bitcoins.
There aren't that many nations which hasn't legalized bitcoin, and none that I know of at the top of the economic rankings. Which means all of the big nations already accept it as a good thing and allow people to trade it.

Yes, and if I'm not mistaken, bitcoin is more attracted to economy that is still growing or developing, just like most in Asia and in Africa and part of Central and Latin America wherein we see a lot of adoptions recently. But developed nations like US I would say is in the gray area, but it doesn't mean they are against it, they just want regulations.

The scarcity of bitcoin is a great thing that will make it go up even more, because there are a lot of bitcoins already gone, a lot of them hold long term by funds, and a lot of them are not even on the trading block. Which means that we have a very limited number of bitcoins being traded every day, back and forth, which makes it volatile and it both increases and decreases in a volatile manner because of this situation.

Scarcity and demand, that is two factors that will make the price go up in the future. Just imagine in the next bitcoin halving, after that we will see another growth as everyone is going to fight because it reduces the rate at which new coins are "minted". And so with that, the demand will skyrocketed.
3440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is key differences between Bitcoin and tulip bubble on: October 16, 2022, 11:07:45 PM
I think they just reference a comparison between bitcoin and the tulip bubble in the 1700's if I'm not mistaken. Because that time, tulip is one of the most sought after flowers and it become a commodity, the price skyrocketed that time. However, when the market becomes saturated, i.e. when everyone is planting tulip and selling them, then it collapses.

However, we can't say that for bitcoin, yes we have highs and lows, bulls and bears market, but the thing is that bitcoin always recover so there is no bubble as per definition of it. And so the comparison with Tulip mania or bubble is very flaw in the beginning.
