You know how hard it is for a newbie like me to trade value altcoins and buy me more XC?
I love the whales/parties keeping the price down, I srsly do. Im buying 50 XC at a time and im not even top100 list :/ Im so unhappy.
Keep pushing, just get as many increments of 550 as you can and keep nodes up 24/7, that'll help your standing quite considerably. These prices are sub dollar, we'll easily see upwards of 20$ a piece within a few months time. didnt even bother with xnodes yet, im just staking. making me less than 1 XC per day, but hey, if it ever hits 100$ a piece that ll be a whole day's work  You definitely should take a look at Xnodes, their payouts are superior, if you can get 4 set up you should bring in around 3-4 XC a day. I plan on publishing a step by step guide with pictures within the next 48 hours, so by then hopefully you have 2200 XC; Only move in those increments though, staking with a remainder isn't as effective as Xnode with 550. That logo seriously kicks ass!! I also like the tagline "Privacy Platform" so much better than using the word "anonymous" As I see it, "privacy" is a necessity for everyone, whereas being "anonymous" is only important for crooks. I realise it's all semantics, but kudos for these adjustments.

when will the marketing offensive start? i think XC is relatively unkown and without creating more awareness in the crypto scene there will be no rise in value.
also posting time schedules with eta for features would be nice. Posting stuff in this thread is not very helpfull because nobody will read through hundreds of pages to filter out announces.
It started small, yesterday. We're building up to something. Stick around - you'll see the big picture pretty soon. |

1. We have a technically very impressive dev team who are delivering and have, what I think is some of, ifnot the best pedigree out there.
2. A very committed community which is diverse and talented and who are 100 percent committed to coin.. This has led to the impressive appointments outside the dev capacity...
Let's keep a steady stream of info coming. Adopt some of the great artwork that's being produced...
Overall though, keep up the good work guys, you are doing a great job and we thank you for it...
The coin price will now take care of itself. This is a quality operation, and we will help fight to get XC up where it belongs...
The whole community now needs to step up to the plate, spread the word, be positive and participate and share in the success of this coin, it's all to play for guys...

I think the main problem was that XC has never re-least any type of news other than dev updates. To minimize expectations you could of made a pre-announcement, letting us know the nature of your announcement, i.e. "we will be publishing our new website at 3pm" Ya dig?

Has anyone from the PR team thought about reaching out to coin desk. I mean this last wallet drop was something big for crypto and shouldn't go over looked. The team introduction is a very important piece of information for new investors/speculators. Anyone who did their homework early on would have found ATC's linkedin. You would have 10-50X your principle from that point. A very small amount of people did this. I had an eye on the view counts of ATC's old threads. Though if I recall correctly, I believe ATC mentioned he had a small team working with him. Three or four guys, one with a PhD. This was in the old thread when people were calling him out.
So with this information up front, more people should feel comfortable with XC. This is especially important after all the FUD. A lot of it was on ATC's background, his code, his ability, even his interest in mining (I know, wtf?). We have another coin developer on the team who speaks highly of XC. I didn't even know we had another coin developer. That means a lot to me. It's also good to have new members joining. I've done my part by telling people I know about XC. People don't seem to understand that XC doesn't stop at anon. Anon is just the beginning. The future plan was laid out on day one. You think anon coins are the competition. Think bigger.

The intent was not to create hype, but rather to simply bring the announcement to your attention.
In future all future ANN's will follow a strict process to avoid repeating this same mistake. I think I underestimated how excited people are about XC.
That said, I'm incredibly excited to be part of this team.
Truthfully, all the criticisms I had were minor. And they were meant to be constructive (regardless of whether or not they were valid -- that is for you to decide). There are some announcements that deserve to be hyped, and some that do not, IMO (it really depends on what type of information is being disclosed). So, it may not be the best to follow a strict process for every announcement -- for example, if you are releasing special info (like REV2 specific details) -- this deserves to be hyped ahead of time (to maximize buyer confidence leading up to a release). Anyways, overall the announcement was good! And I am incredibly excited to be a supporter of this coin. Thanks Battbot, and everyone else too. The varying perspectives here are very interesting, and the criticisms are well taken. I think some people were surprised by the change in subject from tech updates to the members of the team, and I think this partially explains why some reacted as if it is not significant news. A focus on tech can obscure the importance of the community. Perhaps this is why the introductory paragraph struck you as mediocre? The announcement is all about the people who jointly comprise XC - the team and the community that supports XC - and without either, XC would be nothing. My humble and subjective opinion is that it brings out something previously underemphasised. |

Is XC ever going to break 180k again? It seems that this is never going to leave the pump and dump trend between 100k and 160k  XC is the cutting edge of crypto, and it is still in its early days. The development team in charge is extraordinary and their transparency should comfort your thoughts. These people have put their names behind this project, THAT's how much faith they have in this. As far as future development, with as advanced as this team is, I can assure you that XC will have the first GUI application based blockchain 2.0 support, as the full time coding to implement something that large will in fact require a team as significant as XC. Asking if XC is going to break 180k is like asking if a space shuttle will leave the stratosphere. XC will more than likely be valued at upwards of $15 a piece within 6 months. +1 |
