3441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who is selling? on: June 17, 2021, 07:33:26 PM
-snip-
When bad news comes out, it's always causing panic, and people sell one by one natually and i think most of them are newbie.
But this is now not a peculiarity of the crypto market. Just look at what happened to the stock markets around the presidential election in America. News that Trump might win has affected the entire market - not just in the US! - an drew prices down, news about Biden's victory, on the other hand, had a very positive effect.

So news affects markets in general, not just in crypto. What is very characteristic here, however, is BTC as the lead currency, which is something I don't know from the stock or bond market at all.
3442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you know when to sell? on: June 17, 2021, 03:39:30 PM
Seriously man he is one of the best and gives practical advices according to the market not making any false claim or promoting shitcoins in his channel.
Exactly. He even announces new videos about lesser known coins weeks before posting them on Youtube without mentioning a concrete date to prevent pumps and dumps. That's very honest in my opinion and shows, that he definitely doesn't want to manipulate prices with his videos whereas other crytpo influencers have no scruple to shill their own bags.
3443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: General Motors May Start Accepting Bitcoin If There's Customer Demand on: June 16, 2021, 06:27:23 PM
The reason Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and others have started to provide their financial clients with instruments to gain crypto exposure has been driven by their customers' demand and not by the financial institutions' desire to be involved in crypto.
With respect, I don't think so. I can't imagine that GM in particular has the customer base that says "I'd like to pay with Bitcoin, why isn't that possible". I think if you start a poll here in the forum, who has actually ever paid something with Bitcoin, then that will definitely be a fraction of the users. Bitcoin and co. serve for many of us as a form of investment and much less as a form of payment system.

Rather, this is simply free advertising for GM to show that they are open to cryptocurrencies. It is very difficult for me to imagine that there is an actual demand behind this.
3444  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Practical Advice For A Beginner Trader? on: June 16, 2021, 06:22:40 PM
Simple! Learn from your past experienced and mistake in trading.
Well, by the time you're ready to learn from your own mistakes, you've probably already lost most of your capital.
If I were to start trading all over again, I would give my own self the following tip:

Never put money in the first 3 months but use paper trades. Only when you are sure that you understand the market even in the rudimentary way and do not let yourself be carried away to quick-fire reactions, then you can start to bet real money. But again, only very little at first, maximum 0.01% of your capital per trade.

This way you learn a lot, but lose practically no money due to beginner's mistakes.
3445  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: June 16, 2021, 09:10:38 AM
I have seen a guy gambling over a million dollars and dude had like 10 million dollars, which means dude just wagered 10% of it is all money (total wagered not each bet)
-snip-
What you must not forget here ... if someone has so much money that he can gamble with 10% of his money, then he has probably already afforded everything else he ever wanted to afford (status symbols, ...). If one is in such a lucky position, then probably 1 million for such players is as much as if one of us bets 100$:
It hurts a bit when it's gone, but one is far from being bankrupt.
3446  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino on: June 16, 2021, 08:25:10 AM
An exchange would indeed be helpful or just some more extra coins to deposit/withdraw such as DOGE/TRX would also be nice.
A nice feature for sure, but of course also a completely different caliber in terms of implementation, maintenance and legal requirements. Therefore, I cannot imagine that a gambling platform would also consider and/or offer exchange functionalities.
In addition, there are now many solutions on the market with which you can quickly convert your coins from, for example, ETH to BTC, sometimes in seconds and is usually very cheap.
3447  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustadice – Next Generation Dice on: June 15, 2021, 07:39:28 PM
It's actually been that since long time ago. People rarely come to chat on bustadice, different with their other site, bustabit which people still active chatting on there. But i don't think we need make the chat box on bustadice active, since the main reason for us to come to bustadice is to gamble
Having a chat function adds a sense of community in the site that's why some people want to add it as a feature plus, you have to be a really special person that your opinion that they shouldn't add a chat feature isn't a good thing, I am sure gamblers want to take a break too while not getting out of the site you know?
I think you missunderstood his posting, he does not talk about Bustadice not offering the chat box anymore. Rather, he means that many players have no interest in on-site chats, and I count myself among them.

Of course, chatboxes are a crucial feature for a lot of players, but I for myself don't pick gambling sites based on that feature.
3448  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you know when to sell? on: June 15, 2021, 06:42:02 AM
CoinBureau is in my opinion one of the best crypto youtubers out there and not too long ago he published a video about exit strategies, how to recognize exit points and which indicators are available. The video lasts about 25 minutes, but it is really informative and easy to understand even for a trading novice:

When to SELL Your Altcoins: Complete Guide!! 📈

The video focuses on altcoins but the strategies presented can be used for BTC, too.

Of course, one thing has to be said here: Bustadice offers an unbelievably good script support and is therefore especially interesting for "high rollers" who want to place thousands of bets within a short period of time and try different strategies to achieve the highest possible profits.

Of course, Bustadice is also fun for games without bot support, but there is now a lot of supply from many different gambling platforms that are aimed precisely at the short-term entertainment of players and offer, for example, a variety of different games - but little or no scripting support. In my opinion, Bustadice has a completely different target group than Roobet, for example.
3450  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fear : The Debacle of a Trader on: June 14, 2021, 03:00:37 PM
The scenarios OP described here can easily be likened to what happens in forex trading and it's apt. When that fear mixes with excitement (of winning in a trade), it becomes emotion.
-snip-
I would not limit this to (Forex) trading only, but this applies everywhere where you want to win something and hope to gain an advantage (increase of money, defeat an opponent, ...). You can see this very well in sports, for example, as soon as a tennis player throws away his nerves and lets his emotions get control over him, he will most likely lose.

It is no different in trading and a total control of one's own emotions (fear, euphoria, ...) is extremely important to avoid short-circuit actions and to end up with a loss.
3451  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Was haltet Ihr von ADA Cardano ?! Potential oder Shitcoin ?! on: June 14, 2021, 06:58:51 AM

3452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To diversify or not to diversify... on: June 14, 2021, 06:50:33 AM
Actually, diversification is a good way to minimize the risks of losing your money when the price is down. But, of course, you must be careful to choose which coins to buy after having funds later. Never buy the coins based on the hype market.
I agree with you about diversification, it is important so that a falling investment is cushioned by other investments.
Unfortunately, this only works to a very limited extent with cryptos. BTC drives the market, if it falls, the altcoins fall as well. As an investor, I must therefore see my entire crypto portfolio as a unit and must not forget or forego other diversifications (real estate, stocks, ...) - stablecoins of course left out.
3453  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino on: June 14, 2021, 04:28:31 AM
Not all services will give you options for withdrawal fees (fast, average, low) so the aforementioned method is the best to help you save a little fees.
You don't have very many other options, unfortunately, that's true.
You also have to keep in mind that you are using a service of the gambling platform and the platforms (not only Roobet) have an effort with it. Of course, you have to pay for this additional effort, many gambling platforms - but also exchanges - therefore charge (significantly) higher transaction costs than if you perform the transaction from the local wallet.
3454  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino on: June 13, 2021, 04:40:20 AM
-snip-
But what about users privacy!! I' am sure most users don't want their addresses to be linked with other gamblers addresses and mostly don't want anyone to know how much they withdrew just to save few bucks.
This can only become a problem if:
  • The gambling platform always uses the same sending address for the coins
  • The batches are very large, for example, sent to hundreds of users at the same time
However, both can be easily circumvented by the gambling platform using a new address for each batch transaction and keeping the batches small, e.g. only sending the coins to 15 - 20 users at once.

Apart from that, we as players should also use an address only once to keep our privacy as high as possible.
3455  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to profit from crypto arbitrage trading on: June 12, 2021, 06:21:14 PM
Arbitrage is indeed tempting, we can even get a lot of profit in a short time. However, the opposite can also make us lose a lot in a short time. High profits, high risks.
-snip-
Arbitrage trading was interesting in 2015 because there were already quite a lot of small exchanges and the spread could actually be very large, even with big coins like Bitcoin. Today, arbitrage trading is almost impossible for the top 100 coins, there are simply too many bots that would immediately exploit the spread.

From time to time, however, you can find very good arbitrage opportunities with low-cap coins, where a single trade can result in a profit of 10% or more. But this nowadays happens as often as Christmas, unfortunately.
3456  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino on: June 11, 2021, 04:10:50 PM
-snip-
But sometimes on every gambling site platform it is always different in sending the batch, I don't know if this is indeed a heavy traffic system or it has been arranged in batches so that if you collect it, you will of course wait even more.
Unfortunately, I don't know how Bustadice implemented this exactly, but what I noticed is that the batch sending of the coins took place at very different times of the day. So it could be that Bustadice simply waits for the best time within a 24 hour window and then sends the coins.

For me as a user it doesn't really matter if I receive the coins within 30 minutes or 24 hours. Especially if I can save myself a few dollars in transfer fees by doing so!
3457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading exchanges / tools that allow auto re-placing orders? on: June 11, 2021, 03:38:15 PM
Besides using existing open source bots like Gunbot, you could also develop this yourself relatively easily. The APIs of the Exchanges are usually very well documented and anyone with standard developer skills can use the API.
Your desired feature can probably be developed in 1-2 hours. If you have a Raspberry Pi to run your program on then you have a very cheap and simple solution that you can extend at any time.

Here is an easy to follow tutorial on how to write a bot for the binance API in python:

3458  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino on: June 11, 2021, 11:52:28 AM
You guys are right but sometimes this mempool fee thingy can be confusing tbh. Today the slow withdraw fee on FBC (faucet) is less than a dollar.
The most easy way to frequently go to your computer, log in to your roobet account and the check if the transaction fee has been lowered or not.
During my time in the Bustadice campaign I got to know (and love Wink ) the "Slow Withdraw" at Bustadice. Instead of an instant withdraw, you could choose a withdraw that could last up to 24 hours. Bustadice collected all withdrawals and transferred them in one batch, which made the fees much cheaper (5-10x cheaper).

Maybe such a system would also make sense at Roobet, as a user you only have the problem of having to wait a little longer for your valuable coins.
3459  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I get a loan? on: June 11, 2021, 11:18:25 AM
I still consider it irresponsible to borrow money to invest. Especially in a market as volatile and unpredictable as cryptocurrency.
-snip-
Unfortunately, people tend to take incredibly high risks when there is even the slightest chance of a very high profit. For me, taking out a loan in order to invest already belongs to this category of "incredibly high risks".

Banks usually do not give loans for such "ideas", if then only with correspondingly good collateral through real estate or similar.
Taking out a loan for an investment with friends or relatives I consider even more questionable. This can lead to the fact that friendships are destroyed for ever.

Long story short: Don't do it.
