3441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would having a Debate like: Bitcoin vs Gold win more crypto investors on: April 30, 2021, 06:37:57 PM
Honestly, I don't believe such as debate would bring more investors in crypto. But yes, I have to admit more people would be introduced to Bitcoin through such as debate. I said it can't help to bring more investment in Bitcoin because those people aren't well familiar with Bitcoin they will not invest in Bitcoin. Because everyone knows about Gold, but they don't know about Bitcoin. Those are just familiar with Gold it's very hard to explain to them about Bitcoin as well.

However, I don't like to make comparisons between Gold and Bitcoin. Both are different assets, one is real-life assets that exist physically, another is a virtual cryptocurrency backed by the community. A currency shouldn't compare with real assets.
3442  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why bitcoin investment is better than Ponzi scheme on: April 30, 2021, 06:27:44 PM
To be honest I wasn't enough patience to read your full thread once you compared Bitcoin investment with Ponzi investment. Ponzi is nothing, sometimes earlier investors get back some funds, but lately, Ponzi means just a scam. That's it, I don't think we need any more explanation about Ponzi and Bitcoin investment. Ponzi scheme simply means a scam scheme and investing in Bitcoin for a long time means your future is bright if you have patience. So just stick with Bitcoin, doesn't necessarily to think even about Pinzi.
3443  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Comers into crypto on: April 30, 2021, 06:21:32 PM
I have said many times, there is a tendency to become quick rich from crypto especially those are a beginner. A few people indeed become a millionaire from crypto but we have to keep in mind that very rarely happens that. For example, I have seen a news a few days back a person become a millionaire from Doge investment. But don't think everyone lucky same as this person. We have to change our minds and spend more time learning about cryptocurrency before take an investment decision. Due to a lack of proper knowledge, many propels losing funds in the crypto fields.
3444  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Any clue on how to retrieve blockchain account on: April 29, 2021, 06:48:28 PM
The truth is, it isn't easy to recover blockchain wallet and password recovery is impossible from the platform. I have seen many similar cases those forgot password. Very few of them successfully recovered their wallet, at least not noticeable. Seems a few useful suggestions given above. You can easily get wallet id as suggested by @nutildah, but the password isn't recoverable in the blockchain wallet. So it would be best to try to remember your password. You may take look at your Google Password Manager if in case you saved the password ever. Just check it with login all your Gmail account, if you are lucky then probably you would find it. Otherwise, you may try bruit-force as suggested by @OcTradism by recovering the wallet file. But still, you need best guesses to retrieve the password.
3445  Economy / Reputation / Re: The user "amonymous" stealing other's works (Plagiarism) on: April 29, 2021, 06:08:10 PM
I forget the site name what I had tried during newbies. But in this case most of the followers are real.
I am not wrong then most likely you are talking about Twiends. That's what I have found from where you would get real followers, doesn't matter either they are crypto users or not.

Back to the @ChuckBuck question, we know all the social media campaigns in the forum consider just spam and not much effective as well. But we are helpless here since the company needs it. If I ignore then no doubt another manager will take over the social campaign. For me, I always prefer to run a signature campaign on the forum since we know all users here are somehow related to crypto-currency. But a few companies need branding outside the forum as well.

Doesn't matter how they collect follower. Seems most of the manager use Twitter Audit to verify real users. It wasn't a real matter here. The matter is that the user tried to cheat on my campaign and I believe he did the same on other campaigns as well. That's the reason I raised this thread.
3446  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you run when you fail or loose in a trade? on: April 29, 2021, 05:02:33 PM
Do you know the main fact why most new traders lose in crypto trading? Because simply they thought trading would make them rich within a night. We thought we only earn from trading, we aren't aware of the risk of trading especially those who are newbies. Without enough patience, it's impossible to make money from trading. Although it's something like gambling but not fully depend on your luck. For crypto trading it does not just depend on luck, we should have basic knowledge about the crypto trend. If you ask me how many people lose funds in crypto trading, then I will say 60% of traders are in a loss and most of them are a newbie.
3447  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie warning on: April 28, 2021, 06:31:02 PM
Welcome whoever newbies replied here. Nothing here to warn, rather than it would be an introduction post. But yes, the good thing is you are aware of the unofficial forum's official rules. Most newbies don't care about forum rules and eventually they fall in trouble like ban account. So hope you not only read the rules but also will respect them. It's quite important to respect and follow the rules.

I will encourage you to read the threads mentioned by @tranthidung. You would find more useful information about forum culture there besides forum rules. Wishing you a great journey.
3448  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Call code! on: April 28, 2021, 06:15:20 PM
If I get it correctly, then you are looking for a mention bot. You are right, the forum itself doesn't have this function. I am not a tech guy, so I can't read the forum code. But as far as I know, a few users create mention bot since forum do not have that. Perhaps you may take a look on this thread, Is there any forum-based mention bot around?

Anyway, I don't think the admin will implement something like this since there are many important things to implement. So, you have to use an external bot if you like to get notifications.
3449  Economy / Reputation / Re: The user "amonymous" stealing other's works (Plagiarism) on: April 28, 2021, 06:06:56 PM
IMO you can just stick the account with a permanent red tag as even though there is no plagiarism violation being written in your rules it is already implied on when you said that tweets needed should be "unique". He clearly wants to be paid for just copy/pasting the words of others which doesn't really take any effort to do so bottomline is he wants to be paid even though he didn't follow your rules correctly.
Based on the current situation, I think so. I am pretty sure the account has changed hands somehow either bought or hacked. Currently, that account has just been using for bounty spam. It wasn't matter until he caught stealing other works. Somehow it proves that users familiar with steal others thing, it would be account as well. So, most likely I am not gonna remove negative feedback from that profile. Also, we can't see any explanation from "amonymous" but I believe there wouldn't be a valid explanation.
3450  Economy / Speculation / Re: The total BTC balance on exchanges continuously decreasing since 2020 on: April 28, 2021, 05:39:33 PM
Isn't that one of the reasons why Bitcoin price records a new ATH? Because many instinctual investors buying Bitcoin, obviously they wouldn't hold their BTC into the exchange. Everyone knows about the risk of holding Bitcoin to an Exchange. Holding more means there is less circulation, but demand is increasing. As a result, Bitcoin starts to move uptrend. Anyway, holding your fund isn't safe for the exchange, so what is happening is right. Still, it's a positive movement for Bitcoin users and holders as well.
3451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nexon Purchases $100 Million Worth of Bitcoin on: April 28, 2021, 05:17:12 PM
Good to see that another instinctual investment in Bitcoin. But interesting is they bought Bitcoin once above $58K. That means they bought a few days back once the price was at that zone. But I am wondering why this news announced today or recently. Also can't see much impact on the Bitcoin move. I am not sure if Tesla sold Bitcoin after Nexon bought it and the market dumped hugely. That's what I was worried about. The good thing once institutional investors invest in Bitcoin, but the bad thing Bitcoin dump huge even an institution sell 10% of their holdings. Anyway, let's be positive and expect more instinctual investors.
3452  Economy / Reputation / Re: The user "amonymous" stealing other's works (Plagiarism) on: April 27, 2021, 03:20:14 PM
Didn't Twitter become a multi billion dollar company from people re-copying each other's useless short posts? It's one of the reasons I don't like the site.
I am not a big fan of Twitter, just a few days back I created an account there but still don't have many followers. Doesn't matter if everyone copy-paste each other post nor we can prevent them. But copying other's posts then claim his own to get pay isn't a wise decision IMO. Since that happens my campaign so I can bother here. Companies not paying just for copy-paste other's content. Whatever pay rates they were agreed on it. Plagiarism isn't a good habit at all.

suggestion:
However, neutral seems a good fit for such an account, but it's up to you to judge red, because it happens in your campaign.
Not now, perhaps in future turn it to neutral once he realize his mistakes and learn from the mistake.
3453  Economy / Reputation / The user "amonymous" stealing other's works (Plagiarism) on: April 27, 2021, 02:42:11 PM
amonymous was a part one of my Twitter campaign recently. During count posts, I have found this user plagiarized post content from MAAManda and submit the report as his own tweets.

Here are applications:

Here is original tweet from MAAManda: https://archive.is/7XIr2#selection-2967.0-2987.88 (Date: 7:05 AM - 22 Apr 2021)
This is Plagiarized by amonymous: https://archive.is/jqZzF#selection-2969.0-2989.88 (Date: 9:00 AM - 24 Apr 2021)

Although there were no rules about plagiarism (I have added new ones) but there were existing rules about the unique tweet. And that guy stealing other works and trying to get payments. For me, this is a kind of cheating getting payments without works just steal other works. I am posting here since this off-forum plagiarism-related campaign manages by me.

I am tagging that account since he tried to cheat in my campaign. Copy-paste other's work and submit report simply means he claimed the content was made by him.
3454  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] as.exchange Twitter Campaign $10/week in BTC. on: April 27, 2021, 10:42:57 AM
The post count for week#1 has been done. Seems a few participants just copy-paste posts from as.exchange Twitter instead of creating a unique post. I am just ignoring it for the first week, but I will never consider that kind of behavior for the next weeks. Remember, there were rules about making the unique post, I am reminding you again.

Quote
6. You must make 5 unique posts and share & like at least 2 posts from the official Twitter account to eligible for weekly payments.
9. You must have to include hashtag #BTC #blockchain #trading #TVS #as_exchange #crypto #exchange on your post.
13. You must include our website: www.as.exchange on your post. Just write the constructive post, spam will not be counted. You aren't allowed to share affiliate links on the post during the campaign.
New
Quote
14. Copy-Paste and plagiarism aren't allowed. You are allowed to get ideas from as.exchange twitter or website but you aren't allowed to copy-paste

Those who are disqualified for the first week can continue for the next weeks by following campaign rules. Remove mark on the spreadsheet mean you are removed from the campaign.

If you have any problem with the campaign then feel free to write via forum PM or Telegram.
3455  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bustadice ending on May 16th : Wow.... on: April 26, 2021, 06:40:06 PM
Every good thing has an endpoint where it will end. But it doesn't mean ended or closed forever. We have seen previously Bitsler closed the campaign and I was a participant of Bitsler. But after a break Bitsler start the campaign again although the rewards weren't the same as before. Obviously, it's bad news for campaign participants especially due to second waves of COVID-19. But I believe they will find some other campaign during that time. A company advertises their platform till they need to expose themselves. I think Bustadice already gain the market and they are in a good position. Who knows if they want to evaluate the result of the campaign and compare without run the campaign. Or they want to take a break. Whatever the reason, personally I believe they will back to the forum again because every day many new users are joining this forum. So without branding here newbies wouldn't notice a platform. By the way, please edit your title, it's quite misleading and confusing as well.
3456  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: need help, I lost my coin in 2010 on: April 26, 2021, 06:24:21 PM
I am sorry to say, but there is a ZERO possibility to recover your very old faucet site or apps. It's hard to believe that time you used faucet apps and even you can't remember the software name. That's the reason why we should write all of our wallet and account credentials in a notebook. So once a time it would help us to recover something we need. I doubt even your faucet site still live since it has more than 10 years and many sites are already gone. I believe you just wasting your time to find old funds in this case as you mentioned above. Better to concentrate on some other things that would improve your life. But if you don't want to give up, then continue. Who knows if you are the lucky person in the world.
3457  Other / Meta / Re: Can one change his email address if he no longer has access to it? on: April 26, 2021, 05:21:11 PM
I have changed my email a long time ago, if I am correct then it didn't require email verification from the old email (I would be wrong since I did it a long time ago). You can attempt and check if it's working or not. The real concern is if your account being hacked. Then it will require access to your old email. So it would better to recover your email as well. If you don't have any other way except change email then you may take the below step.

Create a post somewhere (probably reputation board) with a signed message from your old Bitcoin address and write about your change email. Mention both email old and new and just lock the thread without edit. The edited thread will not consider for any recovery process. It will serve in the future that email has changed by the real owner. I can't assure you that the admin will accept or not during account recovery in the event of hacking. But at least you have something to show that you are the real owner.
3458  Economy / Reputation / Re: 2 Account are connected ( Same social account ) on: April 26, 2021, 04:00:03 PM
If you are expecting punishment for them, then you have to provide a few more information. If they broke forum rules then report or PM to moderators, so they could punish. So please read forum rules and take appropriate action. If they broke the trust system then edit your post with appropriate evidence, so DT members take a look and could punish if they think it reasonable.

For me, I can't see any violation here, neither they broke forum rules nor abuse the trust system. Just point me or post here if I missing something. Proof of authentication made on different bounty campaigns. So it wouldn't consider abuse. Please provide more info if you have.
3459  Economy / Exchanges / Re: P2pb2b help please on: April 25, 2021, 05:25:35 PM
I believe you can withdraw funds now by following the above instructions given by other users. Just be careful from scammer's. Perhaps you would receive PMs from scammers to help withdraw your funds from the exchange and may ask for login credentials. Just in case you received such as PM then ask them to write here if they really intend to help you. Scammers always have been targeting newbies. Besides that, their many accusations against p2pb2b on the forum. Their service is a kind of worst, listing many fake projects just for listing fees. So better to avoid this exchange and move on to a well-reputed exchange. 14 days is really too short for withdrawing delisted coins.
3460  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Thodex: Turkish Crypto Exchange Owner Runs Off After Stealing $2 Billion on: April 25, 2021, 05:05:42 PM
I was surprised when I see the news in Google trend news fees in my browser. I just thought to create a thread and notice OP already created once use the forum search button. However, really this is bad news for crypto users. If exchanges continue like this skip with user's funds, then peoples will lose faith in a centralized exchange. Seems the website is live with notice and according to the founder all the allegations against him are just a smear campaign. According to him, users shouldn't be affected. Not sure how true it is. Hope users will get back their fund somehow.
