Good work someone111.
What a smash for Bitvest.
13% after 3months and one week is not bad at all. Someone already pointed out that to get that kind of return in the "real" trading world is very difficult. Nonetheless we are talking about a very risky investment and indeed one thing is clear. Always differentiate the items in the basket.
3442  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 06, 2016, 11:37:23 AM
LOL! Grin
Yes, if we can cope with its rollercoaster syndrome, BTC outperforms nearly everything that can be tradable today.
Today it would be stupid not to have at least a small % of BTC in one's portofolio
3443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Silk Network: Silk(SLK), DarkSilk(DSLK) and Weaver on: November 06, 2016, 11:03:58 AM
Looking backwards it feels so right to have avoided an investment in the ICO.
I will keep onto my SLK, the only thing that works as we speak, but until I will not see DSLK in action I don't know what am I going to do with them.

I'm very disappointed: you guys seemed a good team to rely on. I hope you will get everything rolling again.

It's a very boring weekend so far and it's not just because of the rain. I don't see much happening. I'll take the best out of it: we are above $700

3445  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-11-03] Stolen Bitcoin? Anti-Theft Feature Gets Second Life on Sidechains on: November 05, 2016, 11:49:54 AM
At its core, bitcoin is about giving users better control of their money.

Often called "programmable money", bitcoin has scripts that limit how future bitcoin transactions can be spent (and that control variables like who can spend them). One such script ensures the correct person is spending the bitcoin by checking if the correct signature was used before unlocking and sending the funds.

3446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 05, 2016, 11:45:28 AM
Ok here we go again for Serie A! Napoli Lazio is my game tonight I can't wait to watch it.
Two weeks ago  I did my perfect parlay, I hope I'll keep this average.

Torino - Cagliari over 2,5 goals
Napoli - Lazio over 2,5 goals
3447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prediction ligue 1, france football league on: November 05, 2016, 09:23:26 AM
I've choosen the four games below for a balanced parlay after the last one I made for ligue 1 which was too pretentious.

Monaco - Nancy Monaco
Bordeaux - Lorient Bordeaux
Nantes - Toulouse over 1,5 goals
Lyon - Bastia Lyon

Mining DarkSilk?

What GPU's are you guys and girls using?

Nvidia or AMD?

Let us know Cheesy

Not really much of an announcement from Silk Network after days of zero communication.
You should really change your marketing strategy because it does not work at all.
Today is the release day and you have nothing better to ask?
3449  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-11-04] Did Chinese Rumors Crash the Bitcoin Price? How Accurate Are They? on: November 04, 2016, 06:35:08 PM
I completely agree with both of you: the timing is very suspicious to say the least. I mean news manipulation and propaganda have always worked throughout History in every field.

3451  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-11-04] Did Chinese Rumors Crash the Bitcoin Price? How Accurate Are They? on: November 04, 2016, 07:17:02 AM
Bitcoin’s recent bull run ended with a thud on 3rd November, reaching above $740 before crashing to around $685 in just a few hours. Was a rumor of further Chinese restrictions on Bitcoin exchanges to blame? And if so, how accurate is the news?

3452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Discussion on Legacy SilkCoin wallet to help late swappers to New Silk (SLK) on: November 04, 2016, 07:15:20 AM
I think we need more people involved

Let's face it now: the old silkcoin has been abandoned, there has been plenty of time to do the swap. It is normal that it will not be possible for everybody to swap/recover this old coin.
The same happened with bitcoin when people went looking for their lost private keys when it was too late. I think it is very late.

I agree with what you are saying.  There has to be a point where the madness stops, but for right now, since I do have resources available on my vm hosts, it is only costing me in time spent for the effort.  I'm just hoping that the effort we are expending on this saves at least one person from losing their legacy coins.  I don't even want to try calculating the $$ I've lost in the past due to missing swaps with cut and dry deadline dates.

Agree
for now it's not costing me any money anyway
and even if doing what makes you feel better about yourself won't stop this world from falling
I still gonna do it anyway

I admire you man, you really love(d) this coin. You helped everyone out without asking for anything. I was not saying that we should not help late comers but I am a bit disappointed about how the old silkcoin holders just forgot about their coin and then discovered they still have value.

Anyway, when SLK will be as it should be I'll remember you

This article should be put offline: we're undergoing a big dump now and $13B is very far to reach right now. Sometimes the press should just shut up

Oh well... this is a really bad crash.

Bitfinex main page tells it all! Good timing to plan some maintenance really!

3456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: November 03, 2016, 06:42:01 PM
What the flying fuck, Fenerbahce just scored the most awesomest goal in the first minute of the game against Manchester United. Hands down best goal of the year. If you don't watch this goal, you will miss a lot as a football fan.

It was like Captain Tsubasa all over again.

This is shocking to see Manchester United is down by a goal there, Fenerbahce is playing offensive so now it is leading there.

Yes a truly amazing goal by Fenerbahçe after two minutes only.
I was not able to bet on the games I wanted to, it's too late now. I'm going to enjoy this game.
3457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: November 02, 2016, 07:07:06 PM
I'm super late, I did not have much time to study for a good parlay. Reading through the thread I've picked some promising picks from you guys. I'm going to move if I want my parlay to get confirmed on time (gotta pay high fees though).

Sevilla - Dinamo Zagreb Sevilla
Copenhagen - Leicester City over 1,5 goals
Porto - Club Brugge Porto
Juventus - Lyon Juventus

Better late than ever as they say. I mean there's a way to shut down bitcoin for good: they have to start with Internet first. Good luck with that.
This is good news, hold onto your Bitcoins  Wink

Yes, it's a big true, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step".

It's like our own journey on BitcoinTalk Forum, we start earning nothing as a newbie, and go step by step over the ranks, earning low amounts, next medium amounts and then, we reach to a high rank level and earn a lot!

It's like a game, where you upgrade your level and in the end you feel rewarded by everything you did. Same happens when you start a business, invest your money and then you make profit, upgrade your business and in the end you see how good it was and how good was your work for it.

Your first sentence deceived me at first: I supposed I was going to enjoy your post... but then I recognized its true value.

After reading some others nonsensical sig sponsored posts I've decided to lock the thread.

SLK value reached its all time low since the new beginning. The price is around 891 satoshi right now: it's not something unexpected if we consider the recent events. The market is reacting to all the uncertainty regarding this project.
I keep staking regardless though.  Smiley
