3441  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good plan on: July 11, 2021, 08:25:51 PM
Now that bitcoin price has fallen and around $30000, though it is currently at $32800, I  am thinking it is right time to invest, I want to divide my bitcoin investments into  5, this means if the price of bitcoin decrease after I invest, I can still invest further. My first investment was at $31000, if the price of bitcoin decrease to $30000, I will invest again which will be the second investment. If the price decrease to $28000, I will invest again. If the price got to price decrease to $25000, this will be my fourth investment because I will invest at the price. The last investment will be at $20000.

The reason i am doing this is because bitcoin will still increase over $60000 again. Is this a good investment plan?
If people are worried about buying bitcoin that is because they are either new or they are very high maintenance traders there is really no other choice. As a person who is big on long term bitcoin investment I find this plan to be perfectly capable of making anyone money in the long run, it could be a lot of money or it could be a little bit of money but you will make a profit from this idea.

Plus if you do this in current price you will definitely make money, if you did this when it was 60k you would still make a profit one day but it would take years before you could make a profit once again, or maybe not that long but at least that is what the goal would look like. So I do believe that for long term investors this is the right way to invest, what you said is a great idea and would definitely mean a lot of profit to anyone who follows those rules.
3442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: July 11, 2021, 07:47:07 PM
With this national title and happiness from it, will Messi sign another contract with Barcelona? 2 year contract, is it possible?
I don't know what this Copa America situation has anything to do with Barcelona situation. Don't get me wrong I am sure Messi is very very happy right now, and maybe he didn't want to renew his contract or go to another team before the cup was over, he waited until this cup was over that’s possibility. However his winning doesn't really change what his situation will be, or even if he lost it would probably not change it.

I feel like it was always his intention to declare his next move after the cup no matter what the result was, and the win doesn't really impact that. This dude is a big time Barcelona guy who has been there for over 20 years now, nearly 25 years, I really think that it would be not only surreal to see him in another jersey, but also it would be a very difficult life for him to move somewhere else, other players can because they move all the time but this dude played in Barcelona for 25 years, he is not used to moving around and I think it could be very difficult for him.
3443  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money the root of all evil as the poor to thinks? on: July 11, 2021, 07:11:12 PM
It's just that some people, on the contrary, earn a lot of money precisely because they are evil, ruthless to their neighbor, have not the best moral principles and nothing can be done about it if it happened completely within the law. Also, do not forget that everything in this world is relative and it is not always possible to say with great confidence where the border lies between thrift and greed, good and evil. Much also depends on the cultural attitudes of the society in which we live, a specific time, a specific country and region. In different places and cultures, the same things can be both approved and condemned.
The bad part is that it is easier to make money that way as well, I understand the insides of a person who want to make money the easy way without caring about what happens to others. I could just start a project today that is basically a ponzi scheme but in the end I would make it look like it is not, then I could convince a million people to participate in it and suddenly be super rich.

I really could do that, at the school I studied there were teachings of how to spot a ponzi scheme (or many other schemes) and not fall for it, however that also allows people to learn about what people look for when spotting it and covering those bases as well so you learn to be a scammer technically, or how scammers get caught to be more precise. Why don't I do it? Because I am not a shitty person who wants to steal money from others, that is literally the only thing that keeps me away from it.
3444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why altcoins are rampant in the market on: July 11, 2021, 06:08:08 PM
When people saw the value of Bitcoin, they also created various altcoins. Some people who make a profit from investing in Bitcoin will also choose to invest in altcoins.
In such a messy market, can we still allocate assets to cryptocurrencies? What should be done with altcoins?
Simply because there is money to be made from creating tokens. I have been part of many projects and I can tell you that it is a risky business, the money is there in "revenue" because it is almost guaranteed that you will make money from creating a new token if you have the capital for it, if you can spend 50k dollars on creating a new token (which you do not need to, it could be as cheap as few thousand dollars) then that means you could make it back if you are a bit of lucky and if you are reaaaallly lucky you could make millions of dollars from it.

That is why I really doubt that people will stop making new altcoins, it is going to be constantly more and more and that is why I think there are thousands of them in total. It is not something we could just simply ignore that easily, we just have to accept that people will try to find the quickest methods to make money and abuse it.
3445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will The Sorrow of BTC Be The Pleasure of Altcoins? on: July 10, 2021, 01:09:21 PM
The word "Alt-coin" should mean "Alternative Coins". And the word alternative in a layman's language should mean having an obvious option. Example, having an alternative plan means I can decide to use Plan B, most especially if plan A may not favour me at that time. Also, Coffee is an alternative to Tea, in this scenario, alternative is a choice and not a measure of importance. In a situation where an alternative is a choice, is therefore means that the Sorrow of one will be the pleasure of the alternative.

Relating this to cryptocurrency, if BTC who is the mother of Cryptocurrencies and who has gained extensive trust ceases to exist today, will altcoins flourish or will it make the people loose total interest in cryptocurrency.
I get what you’re trying to say here. Alright, we all like Bitcoin and most of the people that are coming here are doing so because of Bitcoin, and their first investment goes into Bitcoin before any other cryptocurrency. And even the altcoins that we all see today all took inspiration from Bitcoin, if you have been around when it all started, they were called “shitcoins”.

Most people around the world that are not yet part of the cryptocurrency community have definitely heard of Bitcoin, but it’s less likely that they have heard the word altcoins, not to talk of hearing names like Ethereum, Cardano, Tron, Neo, and the rest of them. Bitcoin’s market cap covers like half of the whole market’s cap. So imagine that you wake up tomorrow and they said Bitcoin is no more, that it has been shut down or something like that. I bet you’re not going to waste time in dumping every altcoins you have. So if something happens to Bitcoin, it’s sure going to affect altcoins and they are going down with it.
3446  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRANSACTION MINING and TRADING - Can we anticipate a price dump or pump ? on: July 10, 2021, 10:41:09 AM
Alice wants to send to an external wallet 1000 BTC .
This information is available for all before the transaction is validated by miners.
Can we anticipate a DUMP just by looking at the transaction block and before it comes validated ( or invalidated ) ??
Big transactions like that can have an effect on the market, but it all depends on where the transaction is really heading to. But that is nothing new at all, because most of the times they don’t have any serious effect on the market. If you’re following all those websites that gives alerts on whales, then you’re going to notice that the alerts will be coming in all the time, but you won’t see any serious.

It’s hard for any of those transactions to really make some serious changes on the market price of Bitcoin. The reason why is because Bitcoin is already very much stable, so it can’t be easily affected.
3447  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Practical Advice For A Beginner Trader? on: July 10, 2021, 09:11:12 AM
Learned a lot frim this thread and hopefully I can employ those advice to a certain degree when I am trading. One thing that I can give advice to other beginner traders is to probably practice trading if you can because no point doing it without experience, you will only get big losses.
I really think that bitcointalk is a great place to learn how to trade. There are both great traders here, and also people who know about TA a lot and people who focus on news a lot as well. You can learn something from everyone, of course not everyone is perfect in every aspect, but you can take the strongest parts of their advises and leave the bad parts of their advises aside and that way you will be making a lot more profit.

I am not saying this as a person who can give a great advice because I feel like mine are just very little risk and little return stuff so I do not advice too much aside from "buy bitcoin as much as you can afford" but I have seen other people here who are tons better than me at trading who gave great advises that I used in my own trading to make it better, some of them were bad so I removed them but kept the good ones in.
3448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fighting Game Betting on: July 10, 2021, 08:39:21 AM
Are there any betting sites that are offering odds for fighting games like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken or Injustice 2 out there? Kind of like watching competitive of this games and trying to do bets with it and my friend is asking if there's one so in a way, this is his question that I am relaying.
I don't think you will find betting for these games on crypto sportsbooks but you may have a better chance finding them at fiat ones. I believe right now most of the crypto sportsbooks have a common odds provider and there are mainly these esports you can bet on right now.

1- League of Legends
2- Dota2
3- Counter-Strike
4- King of Glory

Apart from these sometimes I have seen rocket leagues markets but rarely and I guess they only cover the bigger tournaments in such esports.
3449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you know the Cards game..lucky nine, pusoy and tong its on: July 10, 2021, 06:08:10 AM
I guess these games you named are more local because, like many here, I haven't heard of them either. But I play other card games, like poker, baccarat, BlackJack, only not in the apps but using online websites.

Cryptocurrencies are already widely used by online casinos and sportsbooks, it's pretty common, and there are app versions for that stuff as well.
Quote
I think someday bitcoin and other currencies can be used also in this kind of gambling apps.
You are right, I haven't heard of any of the games either but like someone suggested above these games do exist and like you said, these are more localized games than standard ones.

I guess once the crypto based casinos have evolved enough that they start capturing local audiences, then maybe such games can be included. I have seen some game providers have already started making some specific theme based games which might be more suitable and attractive to local gamblers.
3450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You got a pifzer ? Then you can be eligible for lottery in Poland. on: July 09, 2021, 08:06:49 PM
Saw this quite late and it boggles my mind to think that in half of the world, people would kill for vaccines. In another half, people are getting paid and incentivized to take it.

I'd be taking pfizer anyway if I could access, not to mention getting a lottery! Antivaxxers I don't get also, they live such privileged lives.
That's such a cruel but accurate statement. In some countries, people are begging for vaccination but the doses are not enough to satisfy the demand while in other parts of the world, there are countries that have enough but the people are feared/lazy enough to avoid it and the governments have to run such schemes. Such a huge disparity in vaccine distribution.

I appreciate the effort to put such a scheme in place but people must have a self-understanding of the situation too and shouldn't be offered prizes or lotteries to get the vaccination. It almost feels like the governments are getting something when people get vaccinated.
3451  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why can a piece of news from the Chinese government affect the price of Bitcoin? on: July 09, 2021, 06:32:55 PM
it is always like generally. A big country will have bigger power and influence to something in concert. Like China, they are a big country with big power, moreover in mining Bitcoin. many miners are coming from that country. And when it is banned, it will really influence Bitcoin news. China is often offering FUD to crypto which makes the crypto market dropped suddenly and significantly. It is like almost every bullish trend, this country will create a certain ban in everything about crypto.
Not just many but massive amounts of coins are being mined from China and such a ban causes direct impact because all those miners would stop mining and will also look to sell their coins.

I don't think the impact is permanent though because we are already watching bitcoin recover and people did everything in their power to bring down bitcoin. Elon Musk announcing Tesla, China banning bitcoins and all the other big news combined were only enough to temporarily pull back the price a bit and now we are back to the path for the ATH.
3452  Economy / Economics / Re: A message from my bank saying they will not allow me to purchase from Binance on: July 09, 2021, 04:49:34 PM
I am also surprised with this. Binance.com is still operating in the UK until now, right? I mean, UK citizens can still avail of Binance.com's products and services? If I am not mistaken, the FCA ban was specifically directed at regulated activities by Binance Markets Limited, since it is the only entity of the Binance group which is under FCA regulation.

As a matter of fact, Binance.com's Updated List of Country Eligibility for the “Pay with Bank Card” Feature is still putting UK under countries whose "users can continue to use the service as normal." I'm not sure how updated it is, though.
Because it is not fully banned. This has been a news for a while and for some reason there are still some people who think that UK banned binance fully, why do people think that and does nobody read what we are talking about. There are "certain" things that Binance does all over the world which UK basically said requires a lot more KYC type security or information or whatever you want to call it, and as long as Binance gets those information from people then they could allow those operations to continue.

So, not only this is not about 100% all of binance being banned because it is not, this is about one part of it, this is also not fully banning it neither, this is just saying "hey you are doing this thing, ask them these before you let them do that" and that's it, nothing major. I do not believe that people should even care about this news at all.
3453  Economy / Economics / Re: Vietnam Becomes Latest Country to Turn to Crypto on: July 08, 2021, 09:09:16 PM
I never heard the news but this is more of a fake news. Vietnam won't allow bitcoin because apparently, they will launch their own crypto like what had China did. Banning of bitcoin might be their second step i guess once they have legalized already their own digital currency.

Bitcoin who's believed to be the future of financial system is still very impossible this time. But only time will tell. As long as bitcoin will continue to exist, the chances of gaining more popularity and demand is very possible. So let's just wait and see.
I do not think that it would benefit their own coin neither, that is the weird part that I do not understand. Like yeah go ahead and make your own coin and that is a great thing, I do support that and each nation should have their own crypto currency, that way we could trade a lot easier. Think about a world where we do not have to deal with things like USDT or BUSD or USDC and what not, because in that world every nation would have their own coins and we could trade that with other crypto and whenever we feel like there is nothing we want to do anymore we could just withdraw straight from government thanks to this new coin they created.

However when you ban other cryptos, then people would stay away from crypto won't they? Or technically speaking they should, because it is banned, when every other coin is banned then why should I care about governments coin? What can I do with it all by itself?
3454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 08, 2021, 08:19:36 PM
We all know that Haaland is a great player,a goal machine,a nice finisher, yes he is,but my concern for Haaland leaving Dortmund to England is,can he Excel at England?we've seen many great players who where very good when they were in other leagues, become flop when they come to England, because England is not just a place you come and play fancy football without backing it up with energy. It us the most competitive and combative league in the world.English premier league is not German bundesliga or Laliga where a striker bags more than 30 goals per season. In England, the defenders take it upon themselves to defend their teams, and so it makes scoring hard for strikers.I think if Haaland still wants to remain a top footballer the way he is,he should just remain at Dortmund.
I have seen that type of fear for many players in the past but in the more global world these days I do not think that it is a problem anymore. Back in the day premier league was the place where there is a little bit more localization happen, like yeah you could be United that wins the UCL but when you go to brighton and face them it still feels like you are going to hell and trying to get out of there is your priority not winning.

However with the later stages of the football industrialization it became so close with each other that I believe playing in bundesliga and playing in England is not "that" different. I would say that any team that gets him would be playing more league games than a bundesliga schedule, at least 2 cup games (probably) with FA cup and another, then european games probably further than what Dortmund can survive. So basically we are talking about maybe 40 games a season at dortmund if you are lucky into playing maybe 60+ games so that is the biggest challenge.
3455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: July 06, 2021, 08:15:29 PM
Pretty sure not a lot of people would admit it because I don't think that it's going to be good for their image that they really aren't a gambler plus it's none of your business if they aren't a gambler and they are just completing their quota for their signature campaigns.
That makes sense, no one would publicly admit that they make baseless posts for their quota of signature campaigns and yeah not that it should bother anyone because we have a ignore button below every profile so if you find someone is irritating, report his/her posts and if they still continue to post garbage, just ignore the user and move on.

As long as the moderators don't delete the posts they are not breaking the rules and nothing can be done. The best solution is to mute such members and soon you will have only quality posters whose comments you will read. Personally, I don't mind if someone is making comments to fulfill their signature campaign quota as long as they are not spamming. After all, this is the most active section of the forum.
3456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next ETH on: July 06, 2021, 07:01:26 PM
Hello guys, what is the next eth in your point of view?? I can see next eth is Polkadot.
I’m already tired of all these speculations, although it can be fun at times.Polkadot is a good coin, and for sure if I am to say which coin can go as a replacement for Ethereum, it’s definitely going to be Polkadot. The two cryptocurrency and their Blockchain are similar to each other, and they all have one thing or the other that makes them very  unique.

But for some reason, I think that developers are more likely to choose Ethereum over Polkadot, and for that reason, I think that Ethereum is always going to be at the top for now, till there is a better option to replace it.
3457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is recovering, what steps are you taking? on: July 05, 2021, 06:18:19 PM
My decision when the market is in an uptrend, of course I will stay and monitor the market movement whether to continue the uptrend or there will be a deeper correction, if the movement triggers an uptrend, obviously I will take the risk to buy some coins which are quite safe even though the coin price will experience correction.
That's right and people usually get hyped with the start of a bull run and forget that a correction will almost always follow it so either be ready to face the correction and don't panic sell or just wait for the correction to finally happen and then make your move.

Usually when the market is down, I try and buy more coins but this time because of all the negative energy around social media and blogs, I am deferring my decision to buy for now. This is from the idea of sailing on the same direction of what most people prefer rather than completely depending on what our technical analysis says; yeah sometimes people will nullify the TA.
3458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: July 05, 2021, 05:39:20 PM
I have a rather contradictory attitude towards Ramos and I perfectly understand why the fans of other teams have such a negative attitude towards him. We can call Ramos a bad person and a rather dirty player as much as we like, but we should still admit that it is difficult to call Ramos a bad player and he coped with his playing duties very well, cementing the defense and scoring important goals. As for the relationship between Perez and Ramos, I would not focus much on the hostility of the club president to the player. Florentino Perez is quite paternal towards Sergio and I would not be surprised if Perez takes Ramos to some position at the club after his career ends. It's just the way things are now.
I do not care what type of player he was, I do not care if he was good on defending or tackling or anything else, as soon as a player is a dirty player then I am done with him and I do not care about anything else. He could be the best defender in the entire world but if he consistently tackles to hurt other players then he is done, he is the worst for me, there is no other argument that I require to give my note to him.

I am super glad that he won't be around anymore, it will be a better Real Madrid to watch this season even thanks to just not him being there, I rather see Real Madrid fail without him then win with him because that is how much I hate him. I am not fan of any team in la liga, my nationality is totally different so I have no winners if Barcelona or ATM wins, it is the same as Real winning, I just dislike dirty players. I had the same thing with prior Barcelona players before as well (like vidal) so it is not biased opinion.
3459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Neglected Quality Blockchain Projects on: July 05, 2021, 03:20:20 PM
Personally, I think the trend of DeFi and NFTs will remain long and develop strongly in the coming time. In addition, some areas that I am also quite interested in this market are the combination of games, gambling games with blockchain. There are also things like CBDC which will also be something that I am quite interested in the future in this market.
On the contrary, I am not so excited about CBDC, for those who won't know it stands for Central Bank Digital Currency which means the centralized banks will issue a token of their own which would work just like cryptocurrency.

The reason I don't like the concept and not too excited about it is because it gives all the control to the banks and it would literally become a digital wallet and we already have many digital wallets so why do we need a new one? Crypto is so popular because it's decentralized and if you centralize crypto, I don't think there would be much of a purpose being served.

Why would someone use CBDC when they can use USDT which although isn't decentralized, at least is much more anonymous.
3460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if US ban cryptocurrencies? on: July 05, 2021, 02:40:16 PM
If your question is, whether one time the US will ban cryptocurrency, in my opinion the prohibition of using cryptocurrency can occur in the US. And if any prohibition happens, then I'm sure it won't have a big influence on the price.
There will be a huge influence, you are wrong. Coinbase if I am not wrong is being operated from the USA and many such big companies have their headquarters in the USA and obviously all these things will impact the price badly.

No doubt crypto will live forever but if any country bans the use and trading of cryptos, then they will always impact bitcoin and depending on the country, the impact can be estimated.

Blockchain technology has been appreciated by almost every country but some have banned cryptos because of the lack of control from the government on crypto transactions and the amount of fraud that sometimes is related to cryptocurrencies.
