3442  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your view on Alien or Alien life? Does it exists? on: December 18, 2016, 12:30:49 PM
They exist and they are real. Their existence have been recorded in many books and on documentary by people who witnessed their appearance. Good examples are fairies, elves, vampires, cyclops, gods and goddesses of Rome and ancient Greece, scrolls in India of their goods together with ufos. This are not imaginations of people but rather are stories of experience.

Or it is just human imagination

If aliens have the technology to pass hundreds or thousands of light years to come to us
I find it very unlikely for them not to develop the technology to keep us from seeing them

With that technology, they're probably observing me typing this right now
They do not need to be physically present in order to study our species
They can probably make do the hokey pokey without me knowing it

It's mathematically impossible for us to be 'alone'.

So basically SSDs have the same level of safety as HDDs?
3447  Other / Off-topic / Re: SSD encryption on: December 17, 2016, 06:08:56 PM
But on an HDD I can completely destroy the data with DBAN, is this a valid option on SSDs?
There are certainly software that can securely erase the data on an SSD. They use different ways to do this so DBAN won't work, but the software to securely erase SSDs exist. Just use Google and you will find them.

Awesome, thank you for the information  Smiley  Smiley

And sorry for missposting.
3448  Other / Off-topic / Re: SSD encryption on: December 17, 2016, 05:55:34 PM
Veracrypt is considered safe. It has been audited and it is based on TrueCrypt. If you encrypt your hard drive with at least AES, you should be good to go.

BTW, this belongs in off topic, I have moved it.

Even if it's an SSD?

I know it's based on TrueCrypt but I keep running into posts claiming SSD encryption isn't safe enough since deleted data is never actually deleted
Having an SSD shouldn't make a difference. Regardless of whether you use and SSD or an HDD, deleted data is never actually deleted. That is something caused by the filesystem, not the hardware itself.

But on an HDD I can completely destroy the data with DBAN, is this a valid option on SSDs?

I am unsure if this is the right topic or it should go to off-topic, I believe it should go here so here we go

I'd like to have strongest encryption available

I used to use VeraCrypt on my HDD however I bought a 500gb SSD laptop and I'm unsure how safe is using VeraCrypt on it
SSDs have leaks?

What would be the best possible way to protect my PC from everyone who could get their hands on it, or is it a failed purpose and I should simply purchase a portable HDD for sensitive operations and use my SSD for recreational purposes?

3451  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Blacks are the least intelligent race on the Earth on: December 12, 2016, 03:32:39 PM
If you replace white and black child, and white child send to Africa, and black to America, who will be smarter than?
What do you think?
If you give them equal opportunity, you will find out that blacks are intelligent and smart as any white man.

I have already posted evidence to counter your claim. Check this:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1696031.msg17037672#msg17037672

Black children adopted by white foster-parents have lower IQ, when compared to white children adopted by white foster-parents. Now do you admit that it is hereditary?

What is the point of this thread?

So what if they're less intelligent?

Btw, Charles Darwin

Quote
At some future period, not very distant as measured by centuries, the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace, the savage races throughout the world. At the same time the anthropomorphous apes will no doubt be exterminated. The break between man and his nearest allies will then be wider, for it will intervene between man in a more civilized state, as we may hope, even than the Caucasian, and some ape as low as a baboon, instead of as now between the negro or Australian and the gorilla

I am an evolutionist, I believe human races will develop in different beings throughout hundreds of thousands of years

Therefore I accept the truth that all races are not equal and will never be

I am ready to believe one race can have less genetical capabilities in order to achieve higher IQ but this thread seems a bit 'attackish'

This is not the right approach in order to scientifically research the subject Smiley

It's not about politics anymore but more on business. Political transactions becomes business transaction.

There will be conflict in NATO not because of policies but because of money. If they will be given enough bribe money the conflict will settle down.

The primary cause of conflict today is money and the only thing that can settle this political conflict is money also.

USA imports oil
Russia exports

ISIS sells oil at dirt cheap prices ---> price of oil goes down

USA---> profits
Russia--> losses

This is the reason why there's conflict between Russia and USA  Cheesy
USA wants cheaper oil prices and petrodollar, but Russia wants higher prices of oils, gasses etc since they export these

Although, Russian participation in Syria might also be a distraction from occupation of Crimea

Rarely?
Mostly about Syria Smiley
Or maybe it's both?

Ever heard about shale oil production in the USA?

Ever heard of USA importing 60% of their oil?
3453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is Gambling Like Investing on: December 10, 2016, 01:04:50 PM
Gambling is never an investment. It is like a games were can
gives entertainment to anyone who wants to play in a gambling
sites. Thus, gambling you can earn profit but in a risks way.

Have you heard, in every rule there is an exemption?  This time it is gambling being investment.  We all know investment does not come only in money, it is either time, or effort.  If you want to make gambling you way of earnings then you need to invest your time and money to learn curves of every casino, or strategy of a game you want to master such as poker or blackjack.  Learning different  strategy in textbook is far more different in learning it firsthand.  so the person needs to spend money, time and effort in order to accomplish what he wanted.  And this is called investment.  Investing your effort to master a game so you can have an advantage over other players in terms of experience and strategy.
In this way, gambling is definetly an investement.

It is an investment of time to become better at gambling
It is not a financial investment as for example stocks

Only when you invest in making a casino, or invest in their bankroll

Or make your own casino

If you do matched betting, then it can be considered as an investment

Otherwise it's gambling, having fun, luck  Cheesy
3454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your average bet per game? on: December 10, 2016, 12:49:50 PM
These days when I gamble I find im gambling more. I always tend to gamble more when the holidays come around. Kinda like treating myself to a gift no one knows about.

I usually bet at 0.0005 so that i can have fun for a long time but i do have a budget of 0.03 in my wallet. Bigger bets are not part of my gambling strategy because i may lose it all in one glance or blink of an eye thats why i bet with small amount.

True

My ratio is usually 1:1000 and often it's even more  Cheesy

So, if I have 1 btc, I will with 0.001 or 0.0005 and use martingale to build up until I earn 20% or sometimes 30 more

Then I would withdraw

While gambling online with bitcoins, I never lost money so far  Cheesy

I did in an actual physical casino though  Cry
And a non-bitcoin related casino  Cheesy

3456  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Still Love Democracy? on: December 10, 2016, 12:39:37 PM
From Wikipedia at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democracy:
Quote
According to political scientist Larry Diamond, democracy consists of four key elements: (a) A political system for choosing and replacing the government through free and fair elections; (b) The active participation of the people, as citizens, in politics and civic life; (c) Protection of the human rights of all citizens, and (d) A rule of law, in which the laws and procedures apply equally to all citizens.

The thing that many people, including Wikipedia, do not point out is that in a democracy, it is the majority over the minority. The 51% might be happy, but the 49% probably won't be.

Another thing that Wikipedia doesn't point out is that the difference in the governments of the United States, Canada, the U.K., Australia, and a few others is that the laws of the governments are only suggestions for the people to follow. These governments are democratic, but the people are directly over and above the governments.

For example. In the USA, people who don't obey a governmental law must be taken to trial. (If the person is dangerously violent, or if there are corrupt cops, he may never make it to trial.) There are 4 things that must exist at the trial before a person can be convicted (The person must invoke them.): 1) a complainant or claimant (plaintiff); 2) obviously, the person accused (defendant); 3) harm, damage or injury; 4) proof that the accused did the harm, damage or injury, in the form of at least one witness, and incriminating evidence.

If these 4 things are not all there at trial, and if the accused calls for them to be present, if they are not there, there is no case. It is in the Federal Rules of Court. However, if the accused or his attorney doesn't require these things through notice to the court, the court can do anything that it wants.

The point is, the people who know this are above all the statutes of governments in the countries listed above, and a few others. In addition, the 12-person jury can rule any way they like. They don't have to listen to the judge. This is what makes these democracies, common law governments, to be free. A civil law democracy does not have this kind of freedom.

Cool

The problem is that the majority isn't very intelligent

The minority are the ones that actually know how to lead the country

However, we are terrible at differing who are the ones that know how to do this

As I said in my previous posts, I believe there should be a couple of questions on the voting sheets
If you get them wrong, your vote doesn't count

We have people who don't know anything about people they're voting for and these are the people who decide who is going to rule millions of people for over 4 years

Smiley

3459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: December 09, 2016, 10:53:06 PM
When you guys are gambling and already doubled your bankroll, do you still play with the whole money you got or you take away half of your bankroll and start playing with your profit or not?

I would say it all depends on what your goals are. If you want to be a pro gambler, and want to start low, then I think you will need to keep building up your bankroll, and can't withdraw after you double it. If you keep just increasing and, also increasing your bet amount, by betting 1% to 5% of your bankroll, you will keep winning more and more. After you establish a good bankroll, then I would say you should start withdrawing your profit.

I believe 1% to 5% is a big bet, you should bet in ratios or 1:1000 or even less, at least if you're going to play Martingale

I myself, don't play with my profits, but withdraw them, I don't allow greed to take over me  Cheesy

As Excz said, it depends on your goals, before you started gambling you surely decided how much you want to earn, how much you can afford to lose and when you're going out.
If not, do this before you start, so 1. You don't lose what you can't afford to lose and 2. You get out while you're still on the roll

You can still lose on the way to the goal ofcourse  Cheesy

Good luck anyways  Wink

https://sites.google.com/site/greenlandtheory/

Greenland Theory: Apocalypse Now" (2014) explores the unrecognized but mighty conspiracy which has been hidden from humanity for ages, unfortunately to the detriment of all life forms which have inhabited planet Earth. Briefly, the Roman Empire, commonly referred to as Ancient Rome, evidently faked its own death 715 years ago and now excerpts command and control over all 206 nations of the world though its primary proxy state of Switzerland (home of the CIA) which was coincidentally formed in c.1300 AD, approximately 715 years ago. Roughly 1,300 years were added to the modern Gregorian calendar, taking the world to the date of 2015 (The Roman New Year officially starts on April 1, April Fool’s Day). The 1,300 years which were added to the calendar are commonly referred to as the “Dark Ages” for they never saw the light of day. The capital of the Roman Empire was the city of Babylon (i.e., modern day Rome, Italy), and although it was later publically moved to Constantinople (modern day Istanbul, Turkey), the true capital was secretly moved to the new city of Thule which was founded on the island of Greenland. The alleged fall of the Roman Empire and the notion that Greenland is mostly covered ice and snow are both colossal hoaxes perpetrated onto the world in order for Rome to collectively deceive and survive her enemies of the day (i.e., the Persian Empire, the Yuan Dynasty, the Ming Dynasty, etc.), and for the Roman Empire to thrive unchecked and unabated. This is why today, the countries of China and Iran have the harshest and strictest forms of totalitarian fascist rule for Rome cannot afford to have the respective histories of these formerly great empires brought into the light. The Romanization of Chinese was not restricted to only its language which now features English-like characters (i.e., 4, 6, 12, 43, etc.); it came after years and years of Roman agression to which the Chinese responsed by building what is known as the Great Wall of China. The collective histories depicted in the Bible and in the cultures commonly referred to as Ancient Egypt, Ancient Samaria, Ancient Greece, Ancient Babylon, Ancient Rome and the Vikings are the comprehensive historical evolution of the same line or lineage of “man” which originated from Minos of Crete in Greece. Collectively, these respective histories have been purposely altered, fabricated and twisted in order to hide a millennium of fascist Roman rule over the Mediterranean, Europe, and now the entire world. The idiom “When in Rome do as the Romans” is literally and figuratively true as evidence of Rome’s domination and rule over the world is readily evident in the architecture, calendar, currency, flags, names, numerology, universities and symbols which currently represent almost every single entity on Earth. After all, “Rome wasn’t built in a day”, meaning that the secret it takes a long time to do an important job could not be more true as all the world is ruled by modern day Rome.

I really hope this is a joke because I'm laughing my ass off reading this.
