The front page of r/bitcoin and some of the comments from crypto companies doesn't give off the most inspiring impression. There's a definite vulture-esque feel at times. They should've stepped up when it was less desperate.
What? Where? ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.giphy.com%2Fmedia%2FQz7VpOlWMXYAM%2Fgiphy.gif&t=663&c=eWHY4Q28c0uSKw) By great do you mean kind of shameless and gross?
I mean... you know... It's to help? ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.giphy.com%2Fmedia%2FoGb1wGKhGVWso%2Fgiphy.gif&t=663&c=T-viEKiyzBqaBQ)

Do you think "I don't trust you fuckers" counts? I think you'll need to bring a sickly orphan along to the interrogation and a foreign medical invoice. In fact a whole new cottage industry could spring up - vegetable rental. They get a cut of what you manage to get out. I smell an opportunity!! ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.giphy.com%2Fmedia%2F3AUSyGXjeS3yE%2Fgiphy.gif&t=663&c=8e_1z1Qen7zhOA)

interesting that always LTC leads the BTC Pumps
What bitcoin pump? Last 2 days, bitcoin is up 5%, litecoin is up 30%. Who leads who? well, the driving force behind litecoin is bitcoin. Someone pumped a lot of btc into ltc. I say> good ! Some BTC holders believe that moving into LTC will yield greater profits, due to the upcoming LTC halving, which is quite possible. A lot of BTC will be eventually be sold to realize the LTC profits. Also, the LTC pump drains fiat that would be used for BTC pumping. There is a weak correlation between the prices, works short term, but long term this is bearish for BTC. agreed. once we hit 300 + $ short btc like mad. Tarmi says we're going to $300+. The last bear has been turned! Bullish...

Quoting myself from another thread: -I was trying to buy something online (costing just 2-3$) with my greek visa, and the charge was getting rejected. -Gas stations take only cash. -Suppliers of stuff, take only cash as they are afraid of the consequences of accepting digital payments, and with that I include bank payments (they are afraid they will not be able to withdraw it, or their money could be bailed-in / converted to drachma etc etc).
There is in a sense a fungibility issue with the euro in Greece right now. Digital euros / bank euros "suck" as they are useless to transact. Cash euro is what counts for most people, even companies.
Times like these, you *realize*, not theoretically, but by living it, that you wouldn't trade your crypto for fiat and that crypto is immensely more useful (ie you can actually transact, when with digital cash / banks / cards etc you can't).
The sense of value increases in a way that is unexpected: I wouldn't trade a single BTC even if I was offered >1000 euro in the bank in these conditions. The euros in the bank are useless.
Thanks for sharing. That really puts things into perspective.

captal-controls and BTC stays more or less the same. thats kind of disappointing tbh.
It was around $240 before Greece basically walked out on negotiations. yes, a 4% rise, and thats it? i mean seriously, a euro-zone-state getting capital controls was one of the big things to look ahead. compare that to 2013 when cyprus had problems... No margin trading, futures, options etc available back then. Don't expect the old parabolas anymore but we can still reach new ATHs.. at this point it would be safe to agree that all this macro circus is already priced in, considering banskters already hooked up on bitcoin, and probably accumulating "subtly" as much as possible. so no choochoo mofos. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) There is no way to price something like this in. If the IMF, EU and/or Greece does something George-Bush-like stupid, there's going to be a shitstorm.

It looks like we had a slight drop in difficulty today; -0.58%. That's a really small change...
Down is not up. Rejoice!

I'm going to sleep. What do you recommend: to buy or not and why? Thanks.
Probably not much in it if you're just day trading. If you're accumulating you might not see below $250 again.

Lol I think Bitcoiners are the only ones happy about the Greece drama
There is no guarantee that this will benefit Bitcoin. If this turns bad Bitcoin can just as well be dragged down into mud as well. Tarmi will be shorting everything. He will buy a boat.

Greece is gonna hold a referendum on whether to stay or leave the EU... the people will probably vote to stay in. However The EU is threatening to kick them out of the EU before that process... (a clue to their evil intentions, and possible reverse psychology) But It's an empty threat, they'd be in worse shape for doing that, and look very bad.
But if the EU does kick them out, they would probably start black ops on the nation in order to destroy it and regain control by force, like they did in Ukraine.
You're thinking of Russia. Greece won't have to worry about them. Yet.

Good morning Bitcoinland.
Still scrapping around $250 I see. Feeble attempt at a dump.
Hanging on to yesterday's modest gains but continuing basically sideways.
Definitely need coffee. Yawn.

That was one helluva dump, doing squat.
I couldn't believe that. We had one crappy little pump, then just when I thought it was going to moon we had a 1.5k dump straight down. Is someone taking us for a ride or what? Probably just testing the waters. Look out for nearly identical follow-ups though. If they can't push it down enough they might turn around to burn some shorts (bear trap).
