$1300 is $1300. You ordered a unit for $1300, paying for it with Bitcoins. You can receive a refund of $1300, either in USD or Bitcoins. You did NOT buy a unit for X number of Bitcoins. That was simply the method of payment.
This. Dollar is legal tender, bitcoin is not. All a court can do is assess your damage expressed in legal tender and force BFL to pay - in legal tender. Particularly when BFL priced the item in legal tender. Good luck getting a court to refund your non legal tender, its just not going to work.

Where are the chartists? Looks like we are at a critical point, move either way and boooom.

|

Well even though we're beyond that price/difficulty slope now, a higher difficulty is soon incoming so that's some reason for the price to adjust (in theory).

lots of small updates. added a shoutbox, some dynamic images behind the charts etc. The Mtgox api seems to be working fairly well now too, so I will concentrate on the actual game now. Stay tuned

I just realized how cool it could be to let visitors pick an image for a chart view and then save the chart for publishing: At this rate, I will never get the trading game done, but oh well

The images are static for now, but I will try to collect some good ones and make them change dynamically depending on market conditions. I guess I can also rotate the pizza recipes to something spicy or burnt depending on circumstances please throw some red pepper on that pizza Oh I will. Im just not sure if it should show when the price is going through the roof or collapsing

Aside from fixing some bugs, what else would you like to see?
funny animated gif's if: current value is below ("1h moving average")-5% => bear time current value is above ("1h moving average")+5% => bull time ATH => a lightning storm where bernanke, FED and ECB dance around a bonfire made of fiat I second this demand. With an addition of something pizza related. I love pizza. Something like this? http://goxgame.sytes.net/

420 is what I'd call a "forum superstar"
As big a star as PatrickHarnett once was ? Hashking? Ineedausername? Pirateat40? People never seem to learn.

Is this preferred over websockets? Since the ws server is down more often than its up, Im falling back to "hammering" your system with ticker requests over http. This seems contraproductive ? Also Im confused about the depth api. How can I request depth changes since a given change or txid? What depth messages does http://data.mtgox.com/api/2/BTCUSD/money/depth/fetch provide ?Never mind, figured it out. I missed the "filter_min_price" and "filter_max_price" records, that explains. How often can we call this api?

If possible, why not just remove the password requirement from workers? I see many new users have problems authenticating their workers, and the password for workers is really useless anyway. You could even reuse the password that clients still have to submit for compatibility's sake. For example, Bitparking allows users to set a custom difficulty by using a pass like this: d=32. Users (including me ) have requested a setting for minimum difficulty, this would be one way to implement it, and also help new users at the same time. Just authenticate the miner and use default difficulty settings if the password field doesn't contain a difficulty request. +1 Well just dumped another $427.00 on another 7970.Since i don't see a way to buy an ASIC yet. So that's 3 7970's and 2 6970's so far. Hope i didnt make a mistake as i plan on buying 1 more 7970 also if this one pays for itself.
Well wish me luck and love the pool its been very good to us lately.
Oh dear. Good luck, you will need it. Buying GPUs now is suicidal IMO. http://bitcoin.sipa.be/speed-lin.pngAnd it hasnt even really begun yet, BFL is yet to begin shipping.

I actually deleted your account as I uploaded a new db.. sorry about that, but for now the focus is on getting gox to work at least a bit more reliably, without that, the trading doesnt make too much sense.

Hadnt thought of an API yet. Maybe I will do that at some point, but for now Im focusing on making it work at all. Currently trying to get socket.io to work as Mtgox websockets prove incredibly unreliable (ie all the missing data). After that I will have to finish the ordering process and game logic, plus some reporting. After that and a succesfull trial, if there is enough demand, I might implement an API if you want to test your trading bot skills.
