That is really bad luck for you Condoras, however, you have so much experience why you just lend 0.215 BTC to someone without collateral by the time you are here you should know that accounts are hacked and sold each day!
The owner of the hacked account should prove that he really got hacked i saw it so many times that someone pull out a big scam and then just claim he got hacked to get his trust rating removed!
Anyway hopefully you will recover from this lost money quickly enough, but take it as expensive lesson now you will be extra cautious when you lend money in the future.
Thank you for your consideration but i don't believe that luck, have something to do here. It was a careless, maybe better to say a "tired mind" mistake but there is no excuses and i will not use any. I don't like this. I didn't do what we all suppose to do here and i gave the opportunity to someone to cheat (and eventually steal). Besides from my point of view, any BTC theft/steal is a hit to our Community but that is another discussion... I was the one to get "open" and "vulnerable" to this "attack", i should been more carefull, 0.215 BTC-->farewell, end of story. We move on and hopefully the real owner of this hacked Account will not get any damage, as he maintains a Sale Service Thread and deals with a lot of members. Op, you made a solid point, minimal bet requirements should be tethered to bitcoin value in dollar/euro.
This is the only way to make bitcoin compatible with demands of the players.
We still think of bitcoin not a sovereign currency, but every time compare its purchasing power to USD/other fiat.
SegWitx2 signalling started today when scaling upgrade will be done we might see a significant decrease in tx fees.
We should wait for that first.
I agree both with you and Op's opinion/suggestion. Most players have already converted their possible profits or losses in any fiat currency (95% their native one), before even start to...play! Even if i and some others gamble/play to earn satoshis and not $/€, we are still the minority. At least in the way of thinking and seeing BTC as their "native" currency and not as a stock... Idk if the respectful owners of dice/casinos will agree for equal value chips for all or to have an internal "fiat" currency. I only assume that it will be a kind of difficult to include TX fees, deposit bonus/promos, in-game exchanger, extra manpower/support etc. They will continue to pay all of them in BTC... It is sufficient from their side? Imho as a "small" gambler, to play in different casinos that have the same Chips (value) it's a very nice scenario. I will even move them around and play! Do you mean you want to take steam games as collateral? If you are receiving steam cd keys then forget it, that's just stupid. They can just enter the key even if you have the copy of the key. If you have some way to hold the steam game, maybe via steam's market? Not an expert on steam game trades, but that could be possible. Just be mindful that anything related to steam can possibly be reverse through customer support. So I would avoid this if I were you. You can probably accept skins for cs:go or any other games. Though there is little market for these kinds of loans. Well, in steam; if you do not enter key, it's always valid key to be activated in steam library.But yeah, i have some ways to hold steam games for it.Also, cs-go skins are good idea too.I'm thinking to do that too. We have seen a lot of people trying to sell keys for steam accounts/games/skins but most of the times, was a "defaulted" situation.
