3441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving bitcoins on: February 16, 2017, 12:31:20 PM
Saving bitcoin is like an investment and it also like saving of fiat in the bank because of the interest gaining for the period of time you put your money in the bank and bitcoin is much better now because of continuous increasing of its value.
true, saving bitcoin will be the same with investing. so when you save bitcoin make sure that you always do the checking to the market price, so when the price is high you can convert it to a fiat and save bitcoin will become profitable

That is basically BTC/USD trading.. You buy when the price falls and sell when it raises. Many people think it's very profitable but in reality it's risky too. You can buy at the wrong time, for example if you bought a month ago you would've bought at a $1200 price.. Because many thought it'll go even higher.. And now you wouldn't be on profit.

It seems threads should be more about helping the dev team, overcoming the things being pointed out, rather than calling scam.
If that doesn't work, then whatever.  At least this dev team doesn't look like it's scammed before, like many others have.

I wouldn't call it a scam if the actual "devs" came here and explained things. It's like you would go to a shop and complain to a manager about something, and while you are complaining he's trying to sell that thing to others, totally ignoring you. I wanted to support the team, I bought $1.5 worth ELS. I don't care about that $1.5, it is worth nothing.. That's why I sold it now, but still.. If someone wants to get a project go big, they should show their interest and not ignore any of their customers.

Asked HiringYou what software do I need to mine Elysium on my PC. He said I should tell him "if I'm using a rig or I am a newbie" and then he would give me "instructions" step-by-step regarding how to mine... and I told him that I want to mine with my own PC components. The answer I got, after over one hour, was that I should use a rig. Doesn't even know how to mine...... Funny Cheesy

Well..
I must agree with that answer.
CPU mining is not profitable and its a waste of cpu.
If you want to mine, you need asic scrypt miners or rent a rig Smiley

Regards!

Doesn't matter - I just want to mine with my own CPU, and I don't see any problem with this. Bitcoin wasn't profitable either, but now most people who mined back in 2010 probably wish they still had that amount. I guess he had to go offline for more than 1 hour to search on Google what software you need to mine.. Cheesy He's here to just scam us, there are SO many posts on this thread claiming that ELS is a scam and yet he only comes with answers like "We're in discussion with the Indian government guys, and no I have no proof because everything is confidential".. Cheesy Cheesy

I guess most of us wish they bought Bitcoins in 2008-2010..... I didn't even care that much about investments at the time.. But today it shouldn't be late either! If the price of 21BTC grew by this much from year to year.. It should mean that in the next years it can go even more above! Smiley
3446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Unconfirmed Transactions Increase? on: February 14, 2017, 12:30:23 PM
Probably because fees are increasing, and people want to pay the same amount. For example I am paying 10k satoshis in fees no matter how big or small my transaction is. But you can't do this if you need it confirmed fast - I don't care much about the confirmation time.
3447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! The Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: February 14, 2017, 08:31:29 AM
It's more stable than ever

Right now it is, surprisingly... But I don't think it'll last too long before another really is going to begin! And that's probably happening at the end of this month, the price will go up a lot probably (a fee hundreds). Cheesy
3448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bloomberg Starting come round to bitcoin? on: February 14, 2017, 08:03:57 AM
Bitcoin is seen many times a day on Bloomberg TV. You can see its price there every day updated, and the charts. There are even some moderators speaking about it when there is a spike or something similar happening.
3449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still use Bitcoin if price would be stable for years? on: February 14, 2017, 05:43:13 AM
I used Bitcoin even after the price fell from $700 to $220. If it was stable why would it stop me from using Bitcoin? I'm not a trader - I don't care much about the price. If it would be stable, I think there will actually be more people joining in because that's a fear for many people: instability.
3450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sustainability of cryptocurrencies? on: February 13, 2017, 03:54:16 PM
I believe that mining bitcoins produces no harm in the environment because there is no chemicals mix , no land drills ! no forest cuts and etc , bitcoin mining just need a machine and electricity and it can survive for itself ! Bitcoin mining consumes a lot electrcity same as hotels and other high class facilities but that doesnt mean it ruining the environment ! it was just an electricity its is not a factory or chemicals !

A Bitcoin mining farm probably consumes way more than a hotel.. Cheesy but mining doesn't really "help" the global warming. We're doing many other different things that are really harming the world and warming the weather up, and we're concerned about a currency that's using just electricity? I don't think it is disastrous - then nobody would have electricity at their homes. Imagine all the electricity around the world being used summed up, THAT might be a problem. Not a few computers running.
3451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any bank accept Bitcoin? on: February 13, 2017, 11:35:10 AM
as we know that no any bank will be accept bit coin .if we have bit coin then only we can exchange with bit coin traders whereas bit coin can buy with real money .i hope  it maybe possible in future if our government accept bit  coin.
It makes no sense for governments to incorporate Bitcoin in their system. What I however can see become reality is that governments and banks incorporate the blockchain as technology.

If they somehow manage to develop a blockchain that even offers more than Bitcoin's blockchain, then it will significantly reduce internal costs and save them plenty of time.

Benefit for the end user will be that these internal savings from the banks will be translated to lower service costs for customers, and potentially much faster money transfers.

You know, the Blockchain technology is so genius that it makes me wonder if Satoshi Nakamoto wasn't actually a government from one country, like China for example.. I mean it is too great to be created by a single man. I hope it's not a government behind it because then it means we are hoping for something fake (anonymity).
3452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: February 13, 2017, 10:46:52 AM
The easiest way is to download videos that are associated with bitcoin then we share to social media teenagers or children, I'm sure with the video then bitcoin is easier to understand.

I think these videos are rather boring than interesting for teenagers unless they're animated or funny.. Teens are watching fun videos, not educational ones most of the time. For example, BuzzFeed always does great videos because they are interesting, educational, fun and animated. This raises up the curiosity for teenagers.
3453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: February 13, 2017, 07:55:22 AM
I personally do not have enough confidence that I will be able to protect all of their savings. If all of a sudden, my bitcoin, which are stored in the wallet site, in case I visited can not compensate for the losses. Therefore, users need legal support. Then the force will bitcoin users in tranquility.

Are you talking about the website possibly closing upon a scam? Store your money on paper wallets and you won't fear that again, you'll be your own bank and do whatever you want with your funds. And all the websites can close - you still got that money in your paper.
3454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving bitcoins on: February 13, 2017, 07:32:23 AM
I do not understand why you ask questions like that, you should be researched more about Bitcoin. Currently, the world does not have any online banking, you can not save in banks Bitcoin. There are plenty of places for you to send money to and receive profits, however, all of them are HYIP and PONZI,they are created to scam. I advise you not to participate in it, because you could lose all the money you invested in it. Don't participate!

Not all of them are HYIP and PONZI schemes. You can invest in a casino's bankroll and make a small profit out of it, but that's risky too. Or you can lend your money to someone and get back more than you sent which is, again, profitable but risky. To save your money you can be your own bank and save it on paper wallets.
3455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: February 13, 2017, 07:09:38 AM
The best thing in bitcoin is, I can save it in my own bank

You can be your own bank* Cheesy you manage yourself, there are no fees for maintaining your money there.. It's just you managing your own funds. I love the control you have over this, without anyone having to monitor you...
3456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: February 12, 2017, 10:32:59 PM
I heard about bitcoin four years ago, through an article in a local tech site. I then started to learn about it, any gain some satoshis by faucets.
Then I found this forum and it changed everything. Now I know I can find here answers to any question related to bitcoin.

Same thing happened to me too, but that isn't how I found Bitcoin.. Sadly there are so many websites posting information about Bitcoin like how it is used against citizens, how "terrorists used Bitcoin to buy their equipment and arsenal" and stuff, I mean come on, if it wasn't Bitcoin it was dollars and they could've still done it easily... Maybe this will change soon..
3457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as Main Currency on: February 12, 2017, 09:59:30 PM
I wouldn't. Let Bitcoin be what it is: a decentralized cryptocurrency that is anonymous and safe for everyone who seeks privacy. Governments would only want to secure it for themselves and seek for everyone's identity that is using Bitcoin. That's not what we want.
3458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whether bitcoin help you when you have financial problems? on: February 11, 2017, 10:17:26 PM
It helps me a lot. The reason is that I get money from signature campaigns and I save all of it, I don't spend it. And when I have any problems, I just use the money there. I never had any financial problems, but you know.. It comes when you expect it the least.
3459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: February 11, 2017, 07:31:37 PM
Banks are the strongest financial institutions we have at a moment and bitcoin is not that big that it can ever replace banks more people will start using bitcoins in future when they will start knowing it but that doesn't mean that banks will get vanished totally from real world and that's impossible to happen.

Banks don't have to disappear since it is too much of a dream that bitcoin would make them disappear... They are strong, they play roles in the society and in the economy, while bitcoin only play one aspect of banking, which is the money... Banks do more things than just holding a money or releasing it... They process many things, now, bitcoin has no capability to do it yet ( the function of banks )...  Smiley
Here I completely agree with you. Deposits and loans, installment and other banking services, it is a very important moment for the modern life of each person. A bitcoin this can give, definitely.

Banks disappearing = Bitcoin controlled. We should live with these banks around us, that doesn't hurt us in any way. We just keep using Bitcoin, and no more banks. Why stop people who might be in need of a loan? Let them go to the bank and get one while we are doing things on our own.
3460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great way to make Bitcoin! on: February 11, 2017, 05:52:03 PM
If we talk about great way, that means we need to set up sufficient capital to invest in market trading site, and some revshare programs. If we do not discuss financial capital, Signature campaign is the best way, just take some effort to keep the comments/posts that quality (constructive).

Life is about what we like, and human beings need challenges and strategies to do so. Gambling is also included in best thing to get bitcoin, although not everyone likes.
I want to contest that gambling should not make the list as some great ways to make Bitcoin or money and the reason is very obvious even without my uttering it. If one is looking for where to make some money, then the casinos are not one's best bet. They are strictly for entertainment and people go there to have fun and maybe get lucky. This mistake have cost some people their lives!

Yes but many people don't really understand this and go there thinking they will make money to live off with.. It's a very wrong idea and it can go in so many wrong ways that it is not worth it at all.
