For those who don't know yet.
There is a Quark Introducton Video in progress.
People are donating to this project.
If you want to donate or have suggestions for a storyboard for the video, make a post.
It's going to be good.

Also CoinKite seem to be interested in Quark.

That's great. Lot of progression regarding Quark lately

or maybe I misunderstood this.

Is EQ-Reward simply the name of the 1-million-coins-a-year period ?

Or is this something new that will be added?

ha ha did you actually read this:

http://forum.qrk.cc/thread/874/quark-secured-after-initial-distribution

it actually really clearly explains it and bolds and underlines the key points:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

****  Ok guys sorry for the slow response here - i have been busy and hopefully i can show you some of the results of my work soon -

****** when you come from a "Crypto" background you take things for granted - and I never let people push a narrative onto me , ( i'm not saying this reasonable question was aiming to do that by the way ) , but i have noticed an increase of chatter around this issue -

so lets explain - how Quark will be secured -:

What is the EQ Reward :

Quark has an EQ Reward

EQ reward Stands for "Equilibrium Reward"

One thing I did learn from Bill Still and other master economists is that a "Fixed" Currency supply is the best possible option when there are options .

Quark aims to be a Fixed currency supply by having an Equilibrium (EQ) Reward that both replaces lost Quark and allows for population and economics energy growth -

Quark is still deflationary - but not as harshly deflationary as say Bitcoin or Litecoin and many of the other "coins".

This EQ reward , serves as a reward for miners , so as it is the base that attempts to keep the supply "fixed" it is also the reward for miners to continue to mine for Quark -

--------

Question;  is the EQ Reward enough incentive ?

Answer yes probably:

but :

Lets explain:

--------

What are "Transaction Fees" and why are they important to Bitcoin and Litcoin ; Why and how does Quark have no Transaction fees ?

Bitcoin and Litecoin both have fairly reasonable Transactions fees , so to explain that :

if Joe send Bill 2000BTC there is a fairly decent transaction fee involved , This Transaction fee is meant to be used to recycle back to miners as a reward ( as Bitcoin is fixed harshly at less than 21 million)

^ so notice here to drive this point home , no new BTC was issued instead it was paid by Joe when he sent Bill the 2000BTC , after Joe paid the fee,  it gets put back into the "Block reward" to be mined  randomly by someone that owns an "ASIC"

in contrast:

Quark provides its users and investors with a Fee FREE environment this is because of the EQ reward , this means that if you are a SME or small business ,or a home business ; www.keepitwooden.com/ < (i'm buying some : D) you have no fees to worry about what so ever -

However if the EQ Reward was not looking like it would be enough incentive (for miners) we would likely introduce a very small fee < now it is important to understand this is not inflationary as just like Bitcoin this is just existing Quark being recycled back to Miners -

We would throw this to the Quark community for feedback - , but rest assured the fee would be lower than BTC or any other Crypto as Quark has massive volume , the fee would only need to be tiny - .

So in this case the Reward would look like this

(EQ Reward + Small Fee) = Miners incentives .

^ out of the above simple equation only, I believe that the Quark community would be more than happy to pay a slight fee back to its miners - which are also probably the same community - and to help secure Quark for everyone into the future -

---------

Then on top of that >

We know some of the best coders in the game that have been making Cryptocurreny since its inception there are many security measures that can be put on top of this ; rest assured we have powerful enemies now , some people really do hate free markets and they hate freedom .

but no matter how powerful they think they are - they are not bigger than the free market , no matter what they believe . and Freedom is an idea that does not die easily.

Well explained thank you

Wow! So culture, such noble.

This is going too far. fuck doge, selling 1 billion shitty dogecoin on cryptsy on y'all fckers.
3446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency - many coin - wow - v1.2 Released on: December 21, 2013, 11:27:32 AM
I hope buying at 0.00000158 was a good investment

Lol same here.  I have a feeling it's going to crash soon though.  There's too many new DOGE per day to sustain this high of a market cap.
It was not. Better sell now before it drops below 100.
I bought at 158 now it's like the half  Shocked
Told you to sell it is still going way below current price.

I'm  just waitin it to skyrocket  Cool

LMAO

Guys, rly, why is this coin slowly dropping day for day, whats wrong with it ?

because the QRK run is over, early adopters made 40000% from beginning/middle November until it hit 0.000289 in December

there's not much interest in this coin except people hoarding waiting to dump it when it reaches certain highs, it's pretty much dead at the moment

There is tremendous attention and adoption in quark tho.
I still hold my QRK for a reason. Anyhow, compared to others it's really not doing well.

it obtained too much interest from people that wanted to slam it (e.g., reddit), negatively publicity pushed it down. However, just like bitcoin I suspect it's going to bounce back up. Unlike a bunch of the other coins (*cough* dogecoin) it actually has a purpose and a real community. I'm hoping QRK will ultimately bounce back to 0.0002+

dogecoin isn't even funny anymore rather annoying. All the spams and that stupid dogface. The hype is over volume on cryptsy has been crashing down.

What a pile of bollocks, early adopters are in every coin, every stock, every commodity and every coin has been doing bad since the BTC crash.

Ok...I'll say it then.

Wth happened with the Keiser/Bill Still effect? Quark has been outperformed by all the other big alt-coins AFTER the Max Keiser show?  Huh

Someone sold $100.000 + and market went down from 17 to 12 but got right back up. Buy orders went crazy at that moment. Show Quarks liquidity, which other alts don't have
3452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 20, 2013, 02:49:11 PM
We have alternative things than BTC-e in the works - but we will be on BTC-e i can tell you .

you don't need a petition - that will likely just annoy them -  no need to rush -

BTC-E Already said they wouldnt add Quark in a million years. Read that somewhere

BTC-e admins don't have authority to decide wether do add or delete any coin. it's not for them to decide, they are not the owners. I see QRK added there pretty soon.

Great, but we need to put a deadline when the website and the forum has to be finished so we can vote

Some nice buy orders at 15 ish
3455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quark discussed on Keiser Report w Bill Still on: December 20, 2013, 12:11:02 AM
I will save you some time and give you the link

http://quark.freeforums.net/thread/368/auditing-block-chain

These fud attempts are getting you nowhere, you know damn well that this goes for all the cryptos and the fact that Quarks distribution is already better than peercoin, same as name coin and almost catching up to ltc after only 5 months tells that it's model is working well. Not to mention as max and bill said its stabilising better and not as volatile like we are used
3456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quark discussed on Keiser Report w Bill Still on: December 19, 2013, 11:42:48 PM
Wish i buyed at 12 it's going up pretty rapid

can i has dogecoins instead?

In other words give me less money
3458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: QRK on Keiser Report on: December 19, 2013, 07:10:39 PM
I don't believe in Max. He lies a lot. I bought LTC at 46 USD because he said LTC would be up to 50 and then 100. When LTC was down to 40 from 48, he said it would raise up to 100 right away. But it was not. I lost a lot.

Now he promotes Quark, can I believe in him one more time?

No. Sorry

LTC went to $48. I believe it's fair to say the goal has been reached since nobody would think it would even pass $10 tbh

Dear friends

I'm writing this, not that i trust the poster, but if you look at when the account has been created.
You see it was just one hour ago.

Now that all of you are sending your quark wallet adres with your personal e-mail.
He or she is possible to send a phishing e-mail:

Stating that your account with the following wallet adres  has been compromised.
And the mail will look like it has been send from one of the exchange sites.

Just a little thing that is possible if this poster has bad intentions.

So stay secure!

And if his intentions are good:

Thanks for doing a great job by giving away

Interesting that Bill said Quark was made after the NSA Snowden story. So the developer made it more secure to protect the people who using it. Very well thought
