3441  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is Blockchain.info a scam? on: April 12, 2023, 09:57:17 PM
Like other respected members clarified that the blockchian.info is moved to .com domain name and that's blockchain.com. That wallet offers a user the option to select low fees or high fees. In your case the wallet might have automatically prioritized the faster transaction route by setting higher fee, but that will help the transaction to be confirmed quicker.

The option of selecting a customizable fees is also available in that wallet. If you want your transaction to be confirmed not too fast then select a transaction fee that would be 4 sat/vbyte or higher for smooth transaction. I hope this will be helpful to clear your doubt about blockchain.com because that is not a scam wallet.

3442  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Viable Alternative to Fiat Currency on: April 12, 2023, 07:53:47 PM
Is Bitcoin BTC viable alternative to fiat currency and traditional banking systems? Examining the advantages and disadvantages of crypto, its adoption rates, and the challenges it faces in achieving widespread use as a medium of exchange and store of value.  Huh Huh

In present time it's impossible for Bitcoin to replace fiat and traditional banking systems. If we compare Bitcoin to fait currencies then fait it currently the winner in that domain because fiat is widely accepted, it's currently more secure than Bitcoin, and it's not as volatile as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Even stable coins in their current state are not an alternative to fiat and traditional banking systems. If you are a regular crypto news reader then you might have heard about the case of UST and USDC. Those were stable coins and their price was fixed at 1$, but after depegging of UST now it's value is less than a 3 cents. However, USDC was repegged but it's depegging cause a lot to lose in millions.

In few cases Bitcoin is still better than fiat and traditional banking systems. Bitcoin is totally decentralized, and it can be transferred via P2P, no third party is involved in those transactions. Bitcoin's is a good options for long term investment, those traditional bank controlled currencies can't give as much profit to investors as Bitcoin can. Bitcoin is highly secure, but those who aren't good in technology, and aren't aware of hackers can still lose their money.
3443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Take good care of yourselves on: April 12, 2023, 05:31:11 PM
I appreciate your view that success can be achieved through means other than Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. After reading your post completely I noticed that some of the points you made reveal the emotional side of you as a human being. Yes it is completely true that some people strive themselves from many things to ensure a better future for themselves.  Your relationships, love, and everyone around you are with you because of your success and earnings. Whether we accept it or not it's a harsh truth that money can change one's luck.

I am very sorry for your loss but if your father has left all his earnings for his children then what's wrong with that? These days very few children give proper respect to their parents and many cause troubles and problems for them. But parents still do everything for the happiness of their family. They work like animals to secure the future of their families that proves their limitless love.
3444  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Live it, face and enjoy. The future belongs to us in earnest. on: April 12, 2023, 12:54:48 AM
I, who have aspirations to become a pro trader and someone who has moved from the bottom, really enjoyed this journey to the highest level.
There is no need to record how many losses we have spent while trading and there is no need to blame ourselves for how many mistakes we have made, because the most important thing is not how the goal is but how the process arrives at a goal.

My dear friend becoming a professional trader is a path filled with numerous obstacles and hurdles. It's a very challenging task and it requires hard work and consistency. Along the journey one has to overcome the emotional attacks of guilt caused by losses. If someone can successfully overcome the feelings of guilt and fear they will be able to make sound decisions.

In the process of trading one must dedicate 80% of their time to market speculation and 20% of their time to actual trading. Even with proper strategies and  strong trading plans things can go wrong and the result can be a huge loss. That's why we must always speculate the markets and trade only when we are sure that the outcome is going to be in our favor. Becoming a professional trader is a tough road my friend but it is definitely achievable.
3445  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin 2008/09-2022 History Paperback/Hardcover Book on: April 11, 2023, 10:26:49 PM
I have gone through some pages of your book and I agree with others who mentioned that the book's formatting is not good. I noticed that some of the initial pages are blank and have page numbers 6-7 written on them. Whether this was intentionally done by OP or is because of formatting issues but it looks unprofessional.

Keeping the issues aside I must say that the book appears to be very informative. And it's visible that OP has put a lot of effort in it. I highly appreciate your hard work in creating such a valuable piece of Bitcoin history. I will definitely read the book.
3446  Economy / Services / Re: Hiring Voice Over Artist For YouTube Videos on: April 11, 2023, 07:58:32 PM
Are you on earth and are you a human being? If yes, then how you can offer up to 30$ to a voice artist while a full member rank can earn more than you and while need to spend only a little time which may take to discuss your project? You are doing nothing but underestimating voice artists.

I wholeheartedly agree with OgNasty and Rikafip on this matter. Comparing the earnings from a signature campaign with the offer that the OP has made is completely unfair. It takes a lot of effort to reach a certain rank in this forum, after that someone will be eligible to join those signature campaigns. The majority of signature campaigns only accept ranks that are above the member level, and some only accept senior member and above ranks. Another fact is that writing of those posts isn't an easy task, only those posters will receive good earnings whose posts are of really good quality and those posts require a lot of time, knowledge, and consistency, to produce.

In third world countries there are thousands of voice artists who would be willing to do the job for way less than 20 dollars. For many of those artists an extra 20-30 dollars would be more than sufficient. It's sad but truth that many of these artists are unable to find any such jobs and freelancing sites are extremely competitive these days. I believe that the OP will easily find someone who will do the job for him.
3447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much effort should one put into Bitcoin investments on: April 11, 2023, 06:35:20 PM
Bitcoin investments is a very promising investment which although seems to be of long term returns.most persons are not patient enough to wait till the value of Bitcoins rise significantly .
Soo in general how much should one invest in Bitcoin should it be "how much you can easily invest without stress " or "as much as you can invest at all cost"
Although I am aware it isn't a do or die affair

It's a very nice question and the answer to your question depends on how much you have and whether investing a certain amount would affect you financially. If you have an extra 1000 dollars or more divide it by 10 and invest it in Bitcoin at various price ranges.

For instance if you have 1000 dollars to invest divide it by 10 which will provide you with the chance to invest in 10 different ranges. The first range should be at 29,000 dollars and the second range should be at 27,000 dollars and continue investing in this pattern. If your order get successfully filled  at those ranges then hold onto them for at least 4-5 years.
3448  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is on 30k how was your feelings ? on: April 11, 2023, 04:12:00 PM
If this bullish trend persists then the Bitcoin price will easily exceed 35K. The upward movement to 30K was a certainty and I pray that 35K is also not too far off. The attention of everyone is now focused on Bitcoin which is a clear indication of its current growth. The trend is in favor of Bitcoin this time and if it continues then we will be left astonished by the Bitcoin price in the coming days.

Let's suppose that if the Bitcoin price crosses its all-time high in the coming months. It will bring  a significant change in the crypto market. That change will attract thousands of new investors towards Bitcoin and crypto world which will ultimately cause a massive Bull market in altcoins.

3449  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Looking for information on how to get involved as a Bitcoin developer. on: April 11, 2023, 01:45:47 PM
Do you know of any YouTube channel or videos in series that teaches how one can get started (as a software side, not price analysis or learning how bitcoin works)? I have a basic knowledge of Python Grin.

There are some useful videos on Youtube that you should watch to learn some concepts of the blockchain technology. I will share some links below, you can watch those videos and playlists to learn some concepts of that technology.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyMwXuJrbJQ

I hope these videos will clear some basic concepts of Blockchain technology. You should follow others advice as well and devote your time to learn some programming before delving into Blockchain. This technology can not be learnt in few days, you should give 2-4 hours a day to start the learning process. With consistency and determination you will master the blockchain within a year.
3450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does loss of BTC affects total amount of BTC in total supply. on: April 11, 2023, 01:23:03 PM
The loss of Bitcoin from someone's wallet won't affect the total supply. The total supply of Bitcoin will remain 21 million, It is the limit set at the launch of Bitcoin and noting can change that supply.

The bitcoins that are lost were part of the circulating supply, the circulating supply will be reduced with those lost coins. Even if 2 million Bitcoins are lost from circulating supply the total supply won't be affected.

3451  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market is seasonal on: April 11, 2023, 05:15:42 AM
Last month my trade was great, I make some dooh but this month is cashloss experiment. I don't really understand the mystical magic behind the technological process of this trading as if someone or something is regulating the system. The system dash you small cash this week and collect big cash from you next week. Is not sweet to bear big loss than gain,  and this things happens anytime the market looks like bitcoin wants to boom.

I see that there is no complete expert trader, at a point everyone experience loss both robots. That's means the market is kind of seasonal, it can favor you today and hit you tomorrow.

You must learn the basics of trading before doing actual trades. There are two sides of a coin and there are two different outcomes of trading, winning and loosing. There is no magic behind trading. Anyone can learn it and there is nothing mystical about it. Nobody is regulating the system it's the user's mistake who put their money into trading without getting proper knowledge about trading in first hand.

Trading will give you profits every week if you learn to trade properly. Without a proper plan, and strategy trades will go towards loss. It's mandatory to learn trading and then put money into it, don't blindly follow influencers, their advice is really harmful. As far as you trade safely you will not be hit by market. Even if your trades are in loss just hold them as Hodling is part of crypto trading.
3452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and dollar on: April 10, 2023, 11:55:05 PM
The US dollar is the most widely accepted currency in the world. It is an international currency that's why it's accepted worldwide. All cryptos and their prices are determined with US dollar, Bitcoin is also included in that list.

Fluctuations in the price of Dollar will not impact the price of Bitcoin as long as people are not buying or selling it in bulk. Even if Dollar devalues the Bitcoin will maintain its price and that devaluation will not have any impact on it.

From recent reports it has been shown that people will invest their Dollars in Bitcoin, and if that report is true and the predictions are right then definitely the price of Bitcoin will increase.
3453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to use if…then… for scripting in trading coin? on: April 10, 2023, 10:58:22 PM
What I believe is that the value of ETH will not decrease much. And, if that does happen, we can use hedging at different prices to reduce the risk. Nobody knows the market 100%, even a 10% understanding of the crypto market can change at any moment. The volatility in this market is beyond others' understanding, and nobody is always correct.

That is why proper planning and strategies are important. Having a calm mindset in profits and losses is mandatory requirement for crypto trading. Currently, everyone is anticipating a Bull market, but nobody is truly certain if it will occur or not. Influencers have always been taking advantage of us, and if we place our trust in them and follow them blindly, we will undoubtedly lose.
3454  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Why are people and things forgotten so soon? on: April 10, 2023, 07:41:26 PM
I've been reminiscing on this very topic above and I have gotten any straight answer from my head or mind and it really bothers me so much to see how people and things are easily forgotten like they never existed and to me it's an issue of concern.
I was reading some old but gold topics on the forum and I see how much people has forgotten such topics like they were never written and same thing applies to human and the surrounding neighborhood.

Why are people and things forgotten so soon?
Please let's talk on this.

N/B please if this not the right place for this topic, I will be glad if notified so I can move it to the right place or possibly move it for me.

That is the nature of humans; we forget about things or people who are no longer part of our lives. People lose interest in old topics that were once important to them as it is human nature to forget about things that are no longer important.

In this technological world everyone is occupied with social media, technology, and gadgets, which have made life easier for us. However, these advancements have increased distances in our relationships. Our memory mainly operates in short-term mode and our ability to store past events has reduced drastically. This is the main reason for forgetting things and people.
3455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Importance of education to the society.. on: April 10, 2023, 07:25:14 PM
Education is, was, and will always be the most important need for societal development. Education was once only available to kings and the very wealthy people. However, now education is freely available to everyone. We must continue to avail this opportunity.

Thousands of lectures covering various fields are now available on YouTube, and distance learning is a great gift for us today. However, many people are still not using it for learning.

We must dedicate most of our time to gain education. Thousands are enrolled in various disciplines not to gain education but for sake of getting a job. Only few people are dedicated towards education, and they give their best to learn as much as they possibly can.
3456  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Russia Becomes World’s Second-Largest Crypto Miner on: April 10, 2023, 12:04:41 PM
Russia has become the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency mining country this year, the Kommersant business daily reported Friday, citing Bitriver, Russia’s largest bitcoin mining provider.

While the United States remains by far the world's largest crypto miner, boasting 3-4 gigawatts of mining capacity, Russia’s generating capacity reached 1 gigawatt in January-March 2023.

In taking second place for the first time, Russia took a spot previously occupied by Kazakhstan, which introduced restrictions on crypto mining activities in 2022 and now ranks ninth, Kommersant cited Bitriver as saying.

Russia is really going all out with their mining efforts and they are outperforming many other nations in this regard. It is indeed peculiar to observe that they have overtaken Kazakhstan in terms of mining operations and are even competing with United States  to secure the top spot.

I must say that Russia still requires a significant amount of energy over 3 gigawatts to be precise to get close to the almost 4 gigawatts of energy put into mining by the United States.

Russia has the potential to reach top spot in the mining if they utilize their huge land mass properly by installing renewable energy systems, they can easily surpass other countries in mining operations by 2025.

Power does not matter vs hashrate.
If you are using 1 gigawat of power to mine with 3 generation old equipment it's meaningless. Someone with 1/4 the power could out mine them.

Hashrate and pool info (and I guess what they are mining) is what matters.
They could be burning all that power to mine ETC since they got all the ETH miners cheap.....

-Dave

I agree with you that power is not as important as hashrate in mining operations. Older mining equipment's are not energy efficient and can't produce the same hashrates as modern equipment's. The new generation miners are designed to use less energy while achieving higher hashrates.

It is also important to note that what if Russia is using the latest generation of mining equipment's? It can utilize its huge land mass by installing solar panels to add even more power to its operations. It is worth noting that China is favoring Russia and most of the mining tech is manufactured in China. By keeping that in mind I can say that Russia has upper hand in this regard and it could surpass United States in mining operations if things go in its favor.
3457  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How much money is enough money? on: April 10, 2023, 12:38:55 AM
The chase for money especially in this dispensation is never ending. People are willing to go all out and do anything (legal and illegal) for money these days. The real question that i am forced to ask is, how much money is enough money?

At what point will one say that he or she has had enough money?

The craving for wealth is innate in human nature, and this longing can never be fully satisfied. Even if one possesses billions of dollars, the thirst for more still remains. The real culprit is not money itself, but our desires. In third world countries many people live happily with a monthly income of less than $200, and I have personally witnessed families who survive with just $100 per month. On the other hand, there are individuals who possess millions or even billions of dollars, yet they continue to chase more money.

For basic necessities $1000 is sufficient but for a luxurious lifestyle there is no amount that can be deemed adequate. That's why to provide an accurate answer to this question is impossible, and nobody knows the desires of a human other then they themselves.
3458  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is your ideal cryptocurrency? Why? on: April 10, 2023, 12:22:06 AM
We all know about cryptocurrencies and how they work. Everyone has their favorite crypto like I preferred bitcoin because there are lots of benefits of bitcoin, immediate settlement, greater liquidity, international transactions, security and direct transfer.

What you think about other cryptocurrencies?

Of course! My best cryptocurrency is the king of all cryptocurrencies - Bitcoin. No other coin can ever dethrone Bitcoin from its position because it is the most widely accepted coin. It is completely  decentralized, and no other cryptocurrency can compete with it in that regard.

It is a game-changer that influences the whole crypto market. As a trader, I favor Bitcoin the most because its movement determines the market's condition. When it goes up, the entire market follows it and when it goes down the whole market falls with it.

Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that is adopted by millions of users. I know that its transaction fees are little higher than others, but its transactions are fast and highly secure.

3460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sushiswap hacked on: April 09, 2023, 11:19:54 PM
The anonymous hackers possess the ability to hack any website, even if it is built with the best security. There will always be some loopholes in the code of the site even it's built with advanced security. If exchanges are constructed with poor coding, filled with vulnerabilities, then they will most likely be hacked.

Many of those swiping sites are not as secure as we perceive them to be, and any unfortunate occurrence like this can take place in the future. It is better to rely on reputable centralized exchanges, which excel in terms of security. Their security measures far exceed those of decentralized exchanges.

Our present technology is still not highly advanced, and any website can have bugs and vulnerabilities that can be exploited by malicious entities.
