3441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SINGULARDTV (ETHEREUM) - Launch Completed! on: December 20, 2016, 12:24:16 PM
After the ICO, few news had gone out on the development of SNGLS. No medium blog update either. I like to know the reason for the fluctuation in price, fall in the value. What stage is the project? When the project will be launched to service? Update the blogs on SNGLS please.

Hello there,
Such an update of the developmental road-map is about to be released sometime this week.
Most of the updates so far have been on the SingularDTV Slack.
Once there's an announcment it will be posted here as well.
Just mind that bitcointalk is far from being perfect medium for updates, because once posted here, in a week it will be lost in the time-line.
The team's slack is way more appropriate (https://slack.singulardtv.com)
The update will bring forward a new, regular form/way of the devs to communicate the ongoing development with the community.

You have made my day

I hope there are no changes in the wallet mercatox work with for bounty distribution. Are their other exchanges that accept merca? Any plan to list it on poloniaex?

3446  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-12-19] Nigeria sets up a committee to study Bitcoin penetration on: December 20, 2016, 06:21:40 AM
I can assure you that the government only said that because it's thinking of making money out of Nigerians trading bitcoin - no more, no less.
They can only make money from the exchanges through tax which could increase transaction fee. the only way to sideline the government is to have exchange into your currency outside the country to avoid government intimidation.
3447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Is The Better Tagline? on: December 19, 2016, 09:39:42 PM
money in the word 'internet money' may call the attention but does not mean the same as bitcoin. Bitcoin does not even need any revolution now either. I will rather say blockchain exploration
3448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MERCATOX Bounty Campaign on: December 19, 2016, 09:22:20 PM

3449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to launch an altcoin on: December 19, 2016, 08:53:42 PM
I have not done it before but I know it requires more than what have been stated. If you launch one now and you require ICO crowdfund, non of this ones will invest into it. Maybe you should join them at the silicon valley to get better idea of how it works.
3450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Credit Ratings on: December 19, 2016, 02:49:08 PM
Australia's AAA Credit rating in doubt

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-12-19/should-we-care-if-australia's-credit-rating-is-downgraded/8131260

Since Australia would be considered one the leader in Bitcoin i'm not surprised the credit agencies backed down.

Australia's AAA rating doesn't seem to be in danger now. Except for the cost of borrowing and the rating of domestic banks, I don't think the credit rating of a country has any impact. It previously used to be a source of pride, but countries are now practical and don't mind losing their AAA ratings.
Support for Bitcoin has nothing to do with a country's credit rating.
The AAA ratings may not show support for bitcoin from the government but provides an environment for bitcoin exchange to thrive. It gives a level of confidence in every customer who might want to do business with bitcoin, eventually if government shows supports more than this, bitcoin will blossom in Australia

3452  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to expect the next big drop in BTC? on: December 19, 2016, 02:08:31 PM
expect the next big drop of bitcoin when it reach the $1000 barrier because I know there's a lot of users that will cash out their bitcoin because they reach their target so if it reach $1000 barrier per bitcoin it will drop down I think that will be a big drop down because almost half of the user will gonna cash it out because that's a huge money compare to the last year price of bitcoin
Yeah I'm agree that many users are waiting for the price if 1000$ per 1 BTC to cash out. I'm one of them and I don't wish to skip such a good chance. And logically it will follow the drop of bitcoin's price. But I doubt that in this case it will fall to 500-600$ maybe it will drop to 800$ but not lower.

It just depends on the moods of the large players. If they are willing to push the price further than just reaching the $1000 level, then we can expect them to support the price all the way to flat $900's as that will give people a space of around $100 to cash out and dump their coins. If they don't want to support the price, which would cost them a decent amount of buying power, then we shouldn't be surprised to fall back to $800 prices, and perhaps back to $700 prices. Don't forget that for us small traders it's easy to dump like 10% at once without it doing any harm to the markets. But when large players sell thousands of coins at once, it leaves a serious scar on the market. But then again, this is just wild speculation...

If it does happen that these big players dump their loads of bitcoins then let's all be ready to sell too. Then when it drops at around $600 - $700, we should sell everything and buy bitcoins. For sure, that will make it shoot up again back to where it dropped from. That would make us profit too, if the prices does drop so much from where it is.
If the price really drops to $600 and you sell everything what will you invest on to save the value or even make profit

Somethings are interesting about the news, knowing that the country is ranked 12th among African countries with regular exchange of bitcoin. Research on it will be beneficial to impact payment system, safety, security of customers, monitoring impact on money laundering, corruption and crime. Will the country really use the research result and how reliable is the data in an anonymous bitcoin system/world.

3456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Wings pump after ICO? on: December 19, 2016, 12:20:31 AM
Why the idea of a pump after ICO? Is it because GUO is an adviser to the project or because streemio is involve in it. Just wanting to know the premises to this conclusion
3457  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to expect the next big drop in BTC? on: December 19, 2016, 12:08:16 AM
It is a question have been looking for a thread to address, when to expect and how to handle the fall in price? sure it will fall but when and to what extent, I dont know. Maybe not this year because all factors look beyond now. Maybe next year, however I have expected the fall before this time. Considering the fall in the early part of the year doesn't look to speak to replicate the 2016. By the end of this year at $800 for bitcoin it had double what it was last year,so no one can tell when

3460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to determine the price of a product in bitcoin on: December 18, 2016, 02:12:59 PM
We all know that bitcoins price changes quickly because of its demand So if some online shop sells products and pricing it in bitcoin,
How can we price it ? Should the price change also like btc?
Most of the online store or merchants use third party payment gateway like bitpay to accept bitcoin which will be converted instantly into USD so that they will not loss due to price volatility of bitcoin.

Those payment gateway also provide simple api/merchant tool which will automatically calculate bitcoin according to price of the product, so actually amount of bitcoin to be sent will change according to market price of bitcoin.
Losing the value is what am looking for as the challenge of the transaction in a very unstable state of bitcoin. Put a price on it before you make the transaction and most bitcoin transaction are always cheaper  than the actual value
