3441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: August 31, 2019, 06:30:51 PM
So far, too little time has passed to draw certain conclusions in this regard. For the new payment system, for several years, until bitcoin began to declare itself, it still means little. In twenty years, at least we can talk about the first results. Altcoins actually began to appear only in 2015. Projects after this are being developed for several years. Therefore, it’s too early to discuss this topic.

So 10 years is not a lot  for you? How long will t have to continue to be an accurately measured asset? 20 or maybe 50 years?

Altcoins will not replace bitcoin until it remains free of faults and weaknesses. If it gets hacked or becomes bottlenecked like in 2017 it will have to be upgraded or replaced.
3442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fuel for the next bull run on: August 30, 2019, 10:12:31 PM
Shit coins with 0 use/value will disappear, while projects with solid real world use ($ADA, $VET, $LINK, $TOMO, etc) will take off during the next bull run. This is not just my opinion, but is the opinion of many big and influential crypto twitter accounts. But as for what will be the catalyst for the next bull run, no one knows. It could be regulation, recession, or an ATH $BTC price.

Shitcoins with big market cap like BCH and XRP will still be there. It's going to take more than 2 years for them to die and I'm sure we'll see a big bull run before the end of 2021 so they won't disappear while solid projects pump.

I think that it's going to be a big crash of some fiat currencies or a launch of regulated and insured investment companies like bakkt. The weakest fiats are falling first but it's a sign that there will be next global bankruptcies.
3443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No matter what i'm sticking with Altcoins on: August 30, 2019, 09:57:06 PM
So you're swimming against the current OP. Sometimes it's fine and you will get somewhere and sometimes you will only lose strength and will have to give up or drown.

It's important not to do the opposite of all the rest like a blind stubborn man but recognize if it's worth it or not. Standing outside when it's raining because Buffet said to do the opposite of the majority is stupid.
3444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Says “Bitcoin under $9,500. If you are panicking, you are a fool” on: August 30, 2019, 09:44:25 PM
I agree because bitcoin is like an automatic gold mine for me and every patient investor. You just wait and every cycle when it goes up sell a bit to get yourself something nice and boost the morale and keep the rest waiting for another cycle. I spend only in bull runs and buy or hold through the bearish months.

There were small dips and panics before the big pump in the past. Check out July 2016.
3445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ‘Failed Safe Haven Test ' agreed on by a BTC Bear & BTC Bull on: August 30, 2019, 09:38:06 PM
It's important to see how much Bitcoin goes up before it corrects and what are the proportions of every correction.

A fall looks bad because most of us are looking at 1h or 2h charts when trying to see the big picture. On 1d chart it's much different. You can see that in last 2 years the median is somewhere near 6500 dollars and we rallied to 14 thousand before going down to 9. Even if we fall to 7 now it will be a nice small positive cycle for bitcoin.
3446  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-23] Bitcoin Miners Are Heating Homes Free of Charge in Frigid Siberia on: August 30, 2019, 09:26:31 PM
It sounds improbable, in many regions of Siberia as far as I know even there is no electricity. Besides, this whole heating thing sounds really weird.

I don't think he aims to sell his miners to some villager who lives with no electricity and lives in a hut. There are big cities in that area like Novosibirsk and people there have access to all the media including Internet.

This doesn't mean there won't be problems for him because miners tend to be expensive and people will rather buy something else than a novelty crypto mining heater.
3447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yes!! Binance To Provide VIP Status For Hacked Accounts on: August 30, 2019, 12:22:52 AM
If my account was affected VIP wouldn't be enough to keep me there. It's a very small compensation for leaking private data and if the information is right they want people to go through KYC again ad change passwords.

Fool me once shame on you but I won't allow you to do it again. Whoever was affected should leave or at least never keep money there. Exchange and withdraw at once.
3448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I've taken my eye off bounty hunters comments on: August 29, 2019, 08:08:22 PM
Yeah that's a thing. Many hunters are just going to wear signature of a scam projects just to get paid for their work. They shouldn't be doing this. But, there could be some bounty hunters that are funneling bounties in this forum doing research. Kudos to those people.

You can't blame them really. There's so much poverty in the world that it reduces some people into spineless cockroaches with no moral compass. It's not their fault that they have families and the average job pays a dollar per hour. If a bounty manager offers them $5 to get more people to invest into his ponzi scheme they'll do it.

They are writing shit and we are ignoring and reporting them. It's not going to stop.
3449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would this finally be a real Satoshi? on: August 29, 2019, 07:57:28 PM

I don't really  understand why people are so interested in knowing the identity of Satoshi. If Satoshi wanted everybody in the crypto space to know his identity like we would have known that on the day the whitepaper was released.  All those claiming to be satoshi are just people who are just interested in gaining some attention in the crypto ecosystem. They are all fake...  The crypto space do not need this kinda claims...

People want to know the identity of the the real nakamoto satoshi is curiousity and they want yo,who is the brillant mind create very useful digital money.

Is curiosity really the only reason that you can point out?
Agencies want to get to him if they haven't already.
The media want to be the first to get him because it means money and popularity for them.
Thieves and all other scum want to know who he is for obvious reasons
The IRS would like to get to know him better too Cheesy
3450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs 2019: A Year Of Success or Failure? on: August 29, 2019, 07:38:43 PM
It's a year of failure. 2018 was also a year of failure for altcoins and I don't mean new ICOs but all altcoins ICOs included.

People are starting to see that the market is saturated. We don't need hundreds of altcoins some of which are stealing ideas or making them just a little different from the competition. There's no need for 5 different storage coins or 5 different casino token coins. Most altcoins that we see now won't exist in 2 years.
3451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin already won ? on: August 29, 2019, 07:31:22 PM
For me it's enough that it's gold 2.0. I don't see it as a global payment tool because there will be some cheaper and faster ways to do it and people like convenience. They want their precious bitcoins to stay safe at home for a doomsday collapse scenario and spend all the crappy altcoins and fiat.

It's already happening and the altcoin charts from the last year are confirming it.
3452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sats rather than Bitcoin - will it cause a price pump? on: August 29, 2019, 07:23:31 PM
mBTC is much formal to use as a small unit of BTC, it might be confusing for some, but they will get used to it, wallet services can also use it, but they should give choices on what the user preferred to use. But for sure, most will stick to the original.

I don't see a reason to use satoshis or mbtc all of a sudden. Is paying 0.1 so much different than 0.01 for the same thing?

I can see what some people see in this because it will get crazy once bitcoin is used for payments and becomes worth 30 thousand dollars or more and you will have to pay 0.0001 for a cup of tea but we aren't there yet. If people in some countries like Venezuela had to pay thousands for the same cup you can pay 0.0001. It's all the same.
3453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or LTC ? on: August 24, 2019, 10:34:15 PM
LTC was lost to me when its creator sold everything. He knew what to do and sold when it was high and his announcement made the price fall even more.

BCH and BSV are both complete shitcoins with unpopular idiots at the wheel. Someone who thinks SV will pump because CSW is Satoshi he has to be a real moron. Thinking that BCH is better than Bitcoin and will overtake it is also stupid. I really don't know which one is worse.
3454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Africa needs bitcoin, not a charity on: August 24, 2019, 10:15:59 PM
Both charity and bitcoin are highly recommended in my opinion. Since Africa deserves being given a charity as basic needs on daily usage, we might also consider to teach them and give them awareness on how bitcoin works so that they be able to use it on daily basis as well.

Africa was being given charity for decades and they are still in need. They are going to be in need no matter how much money you throw their way. They need to be ruled by smart people who will know how to make money of the land and industrialize the area.

Teach them how to fish instead of giving them the fish.
3455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What exchange is better than binance? on: August 24, 2019, 10:08:18 PM
binance is very good exchange but you can try houbi exchange.
Wasn't huobi faking volume along with other Chinese exchanges. They were all doing it since 2014.

There are no really good exchanges that are transparent, safe, and with high enough volume. Coinbase is good but they are selling you to agencies so I'm not really sure if they are better than binance.
3456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alteseason will never happen? on: August 24, 2019, 09:59:58 PM
Are you guys only considering investing and waiting strategy? Or there are any other on your mind you can share?
There are many strategies. Buy and hold, earn and hold, buy and trade, accumulate as much and keep accumulating while holding everything. Mining is the most inefficient if you don't have a big setup. You will waste a lot of time switching between coins that are pumping and downloading all the latest software.
3457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain Miners are not designed well on: August 18, 2019, 09:58:09 PM
You want to compete with the biggest company out there. I'd wish you luck but if you are asking us to tell you how to do it you aren't going to do well.

If you have an idea first design the miner and build a single working prototype. If you do you have to travel a lot presenting this prototype and hope to get investors. A good place to start would be bitcoin conferences. Maybe some big miners would prefer to finance your prototype instead of buying overpriced bitmains.
3458  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just got into BTC on: August 18, 2019, 09:45:37 PM
Since you are new, maybe you are not aware of the price volatility of BTC, and you might loss if you failed to make a timely decision.
Or gain a lot. Out of the two the second option is more likely to happen.

Holding BTC in your wallet is investing, and therefore there is a risk that the monetary value of your BTC will drop significantly.
The chance is there but how big? We are in a bull market.

If you don't want to take the risk, you can convert that into stable coin, then withdraw if you want to leave.
No. Never convert into shit stablecoins like USDT and don't convert into shitcoins like bitcoin SV. If you want to sell sell but turn it into something you can spend. Buy a house or land or an apartment or maybe gold or silver. Don't sell for fiat if you don't know what to do with it.
3459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bullrun time is the best time to trade on: August 18, 2019, 09:38:56 PM
Bull run is much easier to trade because whatever you do you make money. You can sell with a small or a big profit but you will have profit. In a bear market you can focus on buying bounces and selling for a profit or trying to short but not all exchanges have this option.

Buying and holding in a bull market is always the easiest way and if you don't know how to trade bear market wait it out. It's always better than losing money.
3460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: its time bounty hunters should start taking actions on: August 18, 2019, 09:26:14 PM
The bounty managers have mentioned a general rule they can change the rules anytime. All the bounty participants have to agree to participate in the bounty campaign. You can choose legit bounties with good projects. They really look good. Then you have to do your own research about the project before working on bounties.
They can change the rules but its not good to change the rules if its against the major rule of the campaign, it can make the hunters be mad for sure. All we can do here is to study first before you participate and don’t just join because your friend told you, i usually join bounties with the top manager because they are very professional on handling the campaign.

If you are participating in a campaign where the manager can change the rules at any moment you are asking to be scammed. What if they change the rules so that they don't have to pay you? They can give you a month to complete the task and after 3 weeks say that it's no longer a month but 3 weeks and those who did not finish everything are not getting paid.
