3461  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holders, Investors, Speculators! What's your USD average per coin? on: March 01, 2014, 07:00:13 AM
I initially bought at 140$ but it's just bit over 1.5$ now  Smiley

If true, that's pretty impressive. It's as if you would have started buying in in, what, 2011? I probably cut my buy-in price in half through trading, and I was pretty happy with that until you posted  Cheesy
If you have a profit, no matter how small, you can drive your average entry point as low as you want just by selling your stash and putting aside the profits.

seleme, have you withdrawn fiat or did you actually multiply your btc stash by 100?

I've withdrawn maybe 15k$ or so, currently I'm doing $3k per month. I've multiply my BTC by some 70 fold so far, fiat close to by 300 fold.

No, but I'll try to profit from it.

yep, bid side doesn't look so good now  Grin

someone wants to push it up.
3465  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 28, 2014, 10:40:49 PM
Well, it better go down now. I've turned to fiat almost all I could.

What price are you banking on?  $520-ish?  or some other amount?

I'm not sure to be honest.
3466  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thoughts on the month of March for Bitcoin? Predictions? on: February 28, 2014, 09:49:18 PM
I hope we should stabilize sometime later in March and make a base for next rise.

Price is still holding strong though

It should be slow drop, there are still lot of bids and not enough reason to panic fast.

I am sure the 10k whale ain't buying back, but decided to cash out  exactly 10,000 btc last time, which suggest he has more btc in reserve
Now i can only guess that he turned bear and fearful with Gox demise..

The sell wall originally was 10kbtc, although I believe he actually marked sodled about 5700 btc (you check bitcoin wisdom on 15m time interval)

He might have been selling small amounts upfront or afterwards... don't know

the rest was bought on original wall.

Yes, it's true. I got luck to buy some stuff pretty cheap and had few trades that banked me dozens, even hundreds of BTC (McxFees banked me just little bit short of 200 BTC some week or so ago after buying them two weeks earlier).

I haven't made lot from BTC vs USD, I'm crap trading that pair and usually don't unless some moves are obvious. It's mostly alts, shares and stuff.

Soon or later.
3474  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 28, 2014, 08:52:26 PM
Alts are in hard bear market too.
3475  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dark Days ahead for HODLers on: February 28, 2014, 08:11:16 PM
The price doesn't have to be "to da moon" for bitcoin to function.

But it has for me to retire  Grin

Do you have any proof of sending 50k to mtgox? This is not speculation is throwing money off the window. You might win, but still it's stupid to do.

Ninja with balls of STEEL I salute you !!!

awtch

There is NOT even a date on that page... but I suppose that there will be a correlation with other records... and then within GOX there are a lot of records of various transactions and trandes that may have taken place between the date of the deposit and the date of the closing of the exchange.  HOWEVER, I am confident that ONLY a small portion of GOX customers went through the effort to save those various pages of electronic data (even though there were several weeks in which that saving of pages could have been done (between the time of the discontinuance of withdrawals until the time of the shutting off  of the website)..

Gox went down with his 1200 BTC. He was not seen here since he said how much he lost there. Serious shit.

Some guy reported 4200 BTC Gox loss. Shit.
3478  Economy / Speculation / Re: Transferring 25k into Gox to buy at current prices on: February 28, 2014, 06:37:10 PM
To be honest, if I had a way to move fiat from other exchanges to Gox when they were around 100$, I'd send 10k$ or so there.
3479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 28, 2014, 01:19:56 PM
looks like btc-e is overreacting or stamp/huobi are slow

btc-e is 20 below for last 2-3 days
3480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 28, 2014, 01:02:28 PM
I don't think 400 will be the bottom this time IMHO

Gox's collapse will be a huge blow to bitcoin. Expect lots of ignorant merchants to simply withdrew from accepting bitcoins and expect potentially new merchants abandon their plans to start accepting bitcoins.

Bottom will be well below 400 and if btc ever recovers it might take years.

Lol, I wouldn't want to go fight wars with you as my comrade  Grin
