according to express a few hours ago currently Tottenham are reportedly ready to make a swap deal involving Tanguy Ndombele and Anthony Martial.
If reports of this swap deal is true, then I think United would be the ones benefitting for now as Ndombele is in really good and impressive form, but the same cannot be said of Anthony Martial, and it could even turn out to be the move Martial needs to resuscitate his career from the impeding doom it's currently headed, but even at Spurs, I don't think Martial would be a starter. But the thing remains that Anthony Martial needs to leave Old Trafford sooner rather than later, with the return of Ronaldo, he is definitely going to find game time hard to come, thus he is still somewhat young and could go elsewhere and make a name for himself.
3462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 24, 2021, 03:42:59 PM
That's right, bro, in my opinion, the defeat of Manchester United in the third round of the Carabao Cup cannot be used as a reference to underestimate Manchester United now, besides the squad that Solskjćr played in that match, was not the core Manchester United squad at this time and it seems that the Carabao Cup is not a target for Manchester United so they prefer to lower the second tier squad.
The Carabao cup is indeed a trophy, but a small one, and even if Manchester United would definitely not mind winning it, it's definitely not top of their list or top of their priorities, they haven't won any major trophy in a long time, so they'll surely have their eyes set on either the EPL or the UCL, I think the United board have given Solskjaer everything he needs to win a major trophy this season, and if he fails to, then they will surely show him the exit door.

United would definitely be a force to reckon with this season, I just hope OGS manages the team properly, and the fact they have been dumped out of the Carabao cup doesn't prove otherwise, it just shows that they prolly need to work on their academy talents/players.
3463  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: September 22, 2021, 10:44:14 PM
Money or wealth is the dream destination of many people in the world
Speak for yourself mate. We all want money and there is no doubt about that, but for every rational and sane person, there are quite a few things like family, loved ones, spouse, good health and love, that may just come ahead of making money. I don't know what your reason for this thread is cause we don't really need to talk about the relevance of money in our society today, its importance cannot be overemphasized already, but what you need to know is that more often than not "money isn't everything".
3464  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GENERAL] How can you increase your account rank? on: September 22, 2021, 10:13:38 PM
People will tend to hardly believe a new crypto project released  by a member rank "newbie".  It will  be better if you have any legit crypto project to member with a higher rank of Full member above.  Because  by so doing  people  will tend to have faith in that project.
That is not true. Though the chances are pretty low that a newbie account would prolly manage a legitimate project, but the legitimacy of a project is not measured by the rank of the user in charge of the project on the forum. Having said that, users should shy away from pump and dump shitcoins/projects as more often than not, they have nothing to offer, notwithstanding if it's a 'legendary' user who launches the project on the forum.
3465  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and protecting you wealth on: September 21, 2021, 10:53:19 PM
How would you defend yourself from inflation...
It actually depends on how much one has, or what skill or service one can render, what we must understand is that, in as much as people may want to retain the value of their funds from inflation and hyperinflation, many can't actually achieve that due to insufficient/lack of funds. In my opinion, since my knowledge about Bitcoin investment is constantly developing, then I'd definitely choose it as a defense against inflation, I believe and understand the network, thus it seems to be the best option for me. The right thing for people to do is to invest in what they believe to last for the long period, be it Bitcoin, stocks, other commodities, etc. I really hope all this talk about inflation does not get to the worst stage possible, cause then we'd prolly not be talking about investments, but on how people will be able to foot their bills and meet basic needs.

3466  Economy / Exchanges / Re: He who have ears let him hear on: September 21, 2021, 10:09:17 PM
What's so wrong with KYC verification? I believe that only criminal minded people would want to hide their transactions online, it's why I feel like DeX exchanges are criminals haven, if you have nothing to hide you won't mind using any exchange available KYC or no KYC, I use binance exchange and I verified my KYC as I don't see any reason not to because I work for every penny I made
There is actually nothing wrong with KYC verification on centralized exchanges with good reputation per se, but many crypto users try their possible best to protect their privacy and their data, it's not about having the intentions of stealing or hiding anything, but just cause people value their personal data and wouldn't want a situation were it'll be sold on the dark market. There have been numerous incidents of crypto exchanges being hacked and users data exposed to dangerous people, this can put people in danger as their personal information is what's submitted to complete KYC verification.

Having said that, governments use centralized exchanges to track people, as the exchange holds the data of their users and the government has the power to request for it, this is another reason people shy away from centralized exchanges. There is absolutely nothing wrong with dex exchanges and it has nothing to do with 'criminals', it's just an avenue for crypto users to maintain a high level of privacy and security.
3467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to the crypto market now? on: September 21, 2021, 09:41:18 PM
It’s crashing now. Does anyone know what happened to the crypto market?
It's prolly safe to say you're somewhat new to the network and maybe you have not experienced a bear market or a period of correction, this is the period most newcomers tend to panic and sell off their stash, but there is actually nothing unusual or strange about the network atm, it is just a period were the market plunges and it happens every now and then in the crypto market.

Having said that, if you're hodling a good coin like Bitcoin, then you should hold your funds for this correction period as it will definitely appreciate back up again, but if the coins in your wallets are pump and dump altcoins that are more or less short term projects, then you can take your returns cause most times when some shitcoins dump, that can be the end of project.
3468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 20, 2021, 10:00:33 PM
the colombian James Rodríguez will leave fc everton and join qatari club al-rayyan sc...
To be honest, I feel kind of disappointed the way things turned out for James at Everton, he was having a great time at the beginning of last season, playing well under his former manager at Madrid Carlo Ancelloti, but now Ancelloti is gone, it seems it's over for James at the blue half of Merseyside. I feel sorry for the lad, he is just 30 and looks to be moving far away from competitive football, he had quite a lot of prospects but he never lived up to any of them as far as world football is concerned, well he can now concentrate on making large sums of money for himself before finally retiring.
3469  Other / Meta / Re: Is it time for them to get a higher rank? on: September 20, 2021, 08:55:25 PM
Because we are not alone here, then someone or some of us can do it for them. That's the reason why I link all the username in the list directly to their profile so people can review that user's post history if they want.
The thing is, if other users or maybe even merit sources are going to review their post histories, then it should only be cause the said users make quality posts and are maybe undermerited or maybe just a few merits short of a new rank, and not cause of how effective they have been making good reports, if that's to come to play, then what they deserve is a reporters badge; that's exactly what other users above are trying to say.
I just think that if users who contribute a lot for good reporting get badge, then I also hope users who contribute a lot as scammer hunters or cheat hunters and other contributors who support this forum to stay clean should also get badges. It shouldn't be a bad idea, but in the end the admin will decide everything.
Don't you think this could be a very good reason why Theymos has applied the brakes on creating a reporters badge, cause forum users could start requesting badges for absolutely (m)any thing(s).
3470  Economy / Economics / Re: Our Dear Bitcoin and its price movement. on: September 20, 2021, 08:20:10 PM
Something tells me it is a good time to buy
If something actually tells you that, then go ahead and buy and hodl it, imo, it's always a good time to buy Bitcoin, bear or bull run, it really doesn't matter for me, what's most important is you're not buying more than you can afford to lose, or you're not taking loans, borrowing money or doing other things you really shouldn't be doing just to invest in the coin.

Having said that, most of us invest/trade Bitcoin, so you'd always get a positive answer when you ask or talk about Bitcoin here, so what's best for one to do is to do their own research and come up with what's best for them.

Should this post not be in the speculation or Bitcoin discussion board?
3471  Economy / Economics / Re: [LIST] Countries that own bitcoin on: September 20, 2021, 07:48:05 PM
I'm not trying to be pessimistic here, but I think this list will take ages to get filled up, it may even take quite long to add another country to the list, this is not cause Bitcoin is not a great currency/investment option, but just basically cause governments cannot control it, thus they'll definitely be reluctant to take the path that El Salvador has taken, in the past few weeks, some government officials from other countries have openly criticized El Salvador's decision, it just goes to show what the rest of the world thinks about it.

Having said that, I expect Bitcoins rapid growth to continue, with or without governments acceptance/adoption, the thing remains that their level of control over the network remains essentially limited, thus they seek to do so through centralized exchanges and other centralized services crypto users submit their data to before using their service, I do hope that somewhere down the line, governments look beyond their quest for control and accept Bitcoin as a change/good alternative to their monotonous traditional financial system.
3472  Economy / Economics / Re: New regulation in South Korea has forced several exchanges to close on: September 20, 2021, 05:47:30 PM
Quote
Regulators say crypto scams in South Korea are becoming bigger and more frequent, aided by the industry’s rapid growth.

The above is an excerpt from the link in the op, and it's basically clear that Governments will continue to impose regulations, sanctions and bans under the pretext of attempting to challenge and quell crypto scams, when actually they are trying their possible best to have some sort of control over the network and limit its growth which is proving futile, the thing is, I expect this regulations to continue and it's very comfortable for the government to have some sort of control over crypto through centralized exchanges, as the exchange holds possession of users info/data.

Imo, this could be a calculated move to make life difficult for crypto exchanges, and by extension its users, to prolly kick some of them out of business or without choice force them to bend to their new rules, I mean, it's not like fiat crimes and scams have been replaced with crypto scams but the government is making it feel that way; I really do not have high hopes that governments in time to come will be receptive to dex crypto, it's clear they are obsessed with control and want to smother any form of freedom of funds their citizens can get.
3473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 19, 2021, 09:28:40 AM
Manchester United did not look good against Young boys in the champions league and I think West ham can put pressure on Manchester United today and make them collapse.
I think United are going to struggle today, not just cause they had a very hard game against Young Boys in the CL, but cause West Ham is a very decent team with players that can cause quite a lot of problems for opposition defense, I'd like to see how United's defense handles the threat Antonio will pose today, it's going to be a very interesting and free flowing game with quite some goals. My prediction for this game is a 3-2 win for Manchester United, I expect Cristiano Ronaldo to get on the score sheet for United today again, he'll be a very important player for them this season, but I doubt if his influence would be enough for United to win the league at the end of the season.
3474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons for being in crypto. on: September 18, 2021, 04:58:12 PM
1. If you are in for the tech, what is the problem your favorite project is solving?
I somewhat Believe in only Bitcoin on the crypto network, I think it's different from majority of coins in the network today that are more or less pump and dump coins, actually, Bitcoin has a use case and that's why when we talk about crypto adoption, it's mainly Bitcoin that comes to mind/is in the picture, for example, look at the adoption of Bitcoin by the country El Salvador, it's cause they understand the use of Bitcoin and the many people that actually want to use it as a currency, you cannot say the same about any other cryptocurrency.

What is most interesting for me about Bitcoin is decentralization, control and freedom is with the users unlike fiat currencies and many centralized digital currencies, with Bitcoin, the users are their own banks and do not have to rely on centralized organizations or the government in issues relating to their funds, that's one very good reason why I'm a Bitcoin user.
3475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin survive without Elon Musk? on: September 18, 2021, 07:41:58 AM
What do you think? Will Dogecoin be able to survive without Elon Musk? Or will it simply vanish like the rest of the other "shitcoins" on the market? Is the DOGE hype over? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
If and when Elon Musk stops tweeting and talking about Dogecoin, the meme coin will prolly dump, but it'll survive, the thing is, for now it is prolly Elon's influence that's pumping the coin and people buying into it wouldn't expect the pump to continue if Elon somewhat withdraws his endorsement, but since the coin has been around even before it caught Elons eyes, it would not go into oblivion if the billionaire loses his interest all of a sudden. But without Elon, dogecoin will definitely struggle in the network until something else drives its price up just like Elons tweets did, but I don't think it would just completely vanish, but it would definitely be affected.
3476  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria Local Board, All board discussion welcomed. {No Official Language} on: September 17, 2021, 05:29:30 PM
<...>
Thank you very much Isaa56, I wouldn't be privy to this update if not for this post of yours, I have been lacking a valid ID card to verify my Binance account for a while now, mostly due to stress and the amount involved to get any of the ID cards such as drivers license, voters card, etc, but I've followed this simply process your brought to our notice here and in a few minutes I was done already, thank you once again for the information.

Having said that, this one one very good reason why our desire for a local board is legit, it affords us the opportunity as well as ease to update one another on issues like this, especially one that concerns Nigeria our country, I believe in a no distant time we'll have our own Nigerian local board.
3477  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to excel in Bitcoin and Relevant Forum like (bitcointalk.org) on: September 17, 2021, 12:52:40 PM
Get yourself familiar with what the platform is all about by reading about it first in your own language,
or being enlightened by the person that introduce you (if you were).
If your country of origin actually has a local board it could be a very good place to start with on the forum, if you do not have a local board, and you somewhat understand English, then you'll have zero problems familiarizing yourself with what the forum is all about. On the second point, I don't quite agree, majority of people who were introduced to the forum by people were told stories of how they can earn X amount of dollars by posting on the forum, quite a lot of users only expunged that ideology/mindset when they actually started posting on the forum and discovered it's benefits outside earning, as for those who stuck to what they were told, they either got banned for plagiarism/spamming or just grew into constant shitposters with zero development.

Having said that, one doesn't even need all this hackneyed instructions, what you basically must know is that this is a discussion forum for Bitcoin and other crypto related stuffs, just read and follow the rules and you'd be totally fine.
3478  Other / Meta / Re: Delete/Merit button on: September 17, 2021, 12:08:12 PM
The bottom right side of that uploaded picture shows "Reply", "Quote" and "Notify" buttons and I'm wondering why "Delete" and "Merit" buttons aren't included too so that one can easily and mellifluously carry out those functions without necessarily going through the threads where such posts and comments were made.
I understand your inquiry, but when you basically just open the post, it takes you straight to it, thus if it's yours you can delete straight away and if it is an instance were you want to merit someones post you can do same too, I don't consider it to be too much of a hassle, just one extra step which is to open the post and that's that, pretty fast imo.
3479  Other / Meta / Re: New sub-board idea on: September 17, 2021, 10:09:47 AM
The thing is, this is basically a Bitcoin forum (Bitcointalk), so we expect the bulk of the discussion and suggestions to be more about Bitcoin, and since the admin has already allocated a board (altcoin discussion) for altcoin related discussions, it should be sufficient for anything pertaining to altcoins including NFT discussions, as it doesn't fall under the interest of many Bitcoin users on Bitcointalk.
3480  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation soaring in US and other countries gives good prospect to bitcoin on: September 17, 2021, 07:12:49 AM
I don't know if it's good news for Bitcoin enthusiasts, cause we all reside in one country or the other, Bitcoin is not at mainstream adoption yet, meaning fiat remains the most popular method of payment for most of us, if hyperinflation is the case in the country we reside in, then the cost of living goes high, prices of goods skyrockets, fiat currency gets devalued, thus whenever we exchange our Bitcoin back to fiat for one reason or the other, it affects us.
It is actually a good news for Bitcoin enthusiasts in this regard, bitcoin can easily be converted to with fiat, also bitcoin can be converted to fiat when needed fiat, the last thing I can never do is to hold my country's fiat which is even more depreciative than USD, I only have the ones I want to spend monthly with me. So if my country fiat has depreciated which is always the case, I gained when I am converting bitcoin to fiat.
My point is not that Bitcoin isn't a good hedge to fiat especially when it's facing serious inflation like it is now in most countries of the world, what I'm saying is, generally Inflation is not a good thing for us, even if we're Bitcoin enthusiasts/users, you wouldn't want your country's fiat currency to face hyperinflation, why because you'll still have to buy things with fiat even if you hold in Bitcoin, you'll convert back to fiat every now and then and would have to spend your funds, thus if prices of commodities are then high, you'll also still bear the brunt of it no matter how much gain you made hodling, a much better economic condition is even best for Bitcoin in my opinion.
If you don't have any crypto though, and a substantial or considerable amount in that case, you're fucked because if inflation goes up and you still have fiat, you're money will have lesser purchasing power and remember that they're still fighting over increase in wages there and so far the pro increase wages is losing their foothold.
We must not make people feel this way, I think with or without Bitcoin people will survive, Bitcoin is great in retaining the value of peoples funds, but there is quite a lot of problems in the world atm, with unemployment and all, this somewhat doesn't afford people the opportunity to think about Bitcoin or any other investment option for that matter. It's just like people who have the desire to start one business or the other, but lack the necessary capital to do so, if government can solve the problem of unemployment and tackle inflation, then people can prolly have enough to sort out their basic needs and still have that extra on top of it for Bitcoin or any other investment of their choice.
