3461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria continuous banning of crypto on: December 06, 2021, 09:20:49 AM
Nigeria has long since been labelled by the West as the Scam capital of the world and now the Nigerian government are scamming their own citizens? They do everything in their power to Stop Bitcoin, but their own shitcoin is being supported.  Roll Eyes

This is going to become the trend in the East too... with China and their Govcoin and some of the other Asian countries. When you have a totalitarian government... they misuse their power to retain their power. We saw what New York did with the introduction of the Bit License in the past. (barrier to entry to stall Bitcoin adoption)  Angry
3462  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Economic Advantage on: December 06, 2021, 07:56:24 AM
The key to prosper in a country like that, is to store your wealth in something other than local Banks or in your local Fiat currency. We have seen what happened in corrupt third world countries like Zimbabwe ..where Hyperinflation quickly destroyed their wealth. (The people there had to shift their wealth into more stable currencies like the US Dollar or the South African Rand (ZAR)

The problem with Crypto currencies like Bitcoin is the high volatility and long periods where there might be a recovery after a huge spike in the price. So, the money you invested in Bitcoin ..MUST be a long-term investment.... because you cannot be forced to sell during the recovery periods...or you will lose money.  Roll Eyes
3463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Is HODL the only strategy? on: December 06, 2021, 07:49:33 AM
I hodl some of my bitcoins at Freebitco.in to get some interest and some gambling money. They have been operating for many years and they have virtually no scam accusations against them, so I trust them with those coins. (I have almost reached a 100% return on investment with the capital I deposited there.... so even if they scam, I still have all the coins I deposited.)  Grin

This is a risky investment strategy, but having my coins in cold storage with zero percent interest ..just felt so wrong. I have been doing this for years and it paid off.  Wink  (If you leave it, you get compound interest)
3464  Economy / Gambling / Re: ムノカミMunokami.com, a strategic online multiplayer bitcoin gambling made in Japan on: December 06, 2021, 07:38:39 AM
I have a few concerns:

- The game is a bit confusing and it would be good to have a tutorial sort of thing to run through what exactly it does and how to play it. Perhaps consider simplifying the game a little bit so it's a bit more accessible to people as well given the steep learning curve?

- Why only accept BCH? You're going to find that not a lot of people use it as their native gaming currency.

There is nothing difficult here.... you set your path before you play and the character will run that path and if he collides with other characters, they die. So you have to predict where other players will go and hope to miss them?  Roll Eyes

You only have a limited amount of moves.. and so do they. My problem is... if I press say the down arrow... it goes all the way down... not just one block at a time... would it not be better if it goes one black at a time?
3465  Economy / Gambling / Re: TEST / REFERENCE - blockchain panic game on: December 05, 2021, 03:14:21 PM
So this is not an actual game yet, but just a concept or an idea for a game... right? I do not see any links posted ..but you used the word "Test" in your title, so I thought the game was developed and you wanted us to test it?

Why is this a "panic" game? .... it is not like the "Crash" style games where you panic and exit too quickly ...etc? It will also be extremely slowly if it is based on Blockchain confirmations.  Roll Eyes
3466  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin allows tax evaders, Please pay attention.... on: December 05, 2021, 02:55:12 PM
They can't use bitcoin to evade taxes, there's a public ledger that keeps track of all transactions so I don't see how they're going to be able to use it to evade taxes plus you can't move large amounts of bitcoin without a lot of people noticing so it's not going to be an easy task evading taxes using cryptocurrencies.

Wrong.... you can use Bitcoin to evade taxes if you steer clear of Bitcoin to Fiat conversion and if you are using Mixer services to cover your tracks. The thing is... when you do this, you spend "money" and if you spend money.. other people take notice and they start to talk.

The next thing you see are a bunch of people rocking up at your house to investigate suspicious criminal behavior (Finding probable cause like you selling drugs or for things like money laundering) and then they do a life style audit. If you cannot explain where the money come from to fund your life style.... then you are fuc$%ed.  Wink
3467  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-10-5] New York's next mayor wants to be paid in Bitcoin on: December 05, 2021, 08:41:15 AM
Well, he said this... " New York City Mayor-Elect Eric Adams said he wanted to turn New York into a crypto-friendly city and wagered a “friendly competition” with the mayor of Miami, who was the first to set up a so-called CityCoin cryptocurrency. " - So his aim is not to promote Bitcoin, but rather some shitcoin like "MiamiCoin"  Roll Eyes

He will face some strong pushback from the old Fiat slaves in New York, because it is the bastion of the traditional Fiat system. (NY Stock exchange) ....and the barrier to entry of the Bit License.  Roll Eyes
3468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Community is Lit on: December 05, 2021, 07:48:06 AM
Do we really care about an old fart of 97 year old ...who became filthy rich, because he has a circle jerk of friends with insider information that keep them rich? The "Fiat" slaves with their old financial investment strategies will always be profitable for them, because they have a small group of top business men and women (but mostly men) that get together and share information that other people do not get.  Roll Eyes

They will talk down on things that that they do not understand and they will criticize it, because it takes investment capital away from the investment options that they invest in. (Can you imagine what will happen with the value of their shares, if investors start selling their shares in Berkshire Hathaway to invest in Crypto currencies)  Grin Grin Grin Grin
3469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot providers... which one is the best?! on: December 05, 2021, 06:35:18 AM
I do not know if I have a favorite Slot provider, because I rate my experience and preferences on individual games. One of my favorite Slot games were "Mount Magmas" from Push Gaming... until people figured out how to abuse it. Then there is a game called "Atlantean Gigarise" from Yggdrasil Gaming and also "Vikings Go Beserk" from them.

So, if I quickly browse through the games that I added to my favorites, then these 3 providers will come out on top... "Yggdrasil Gaming" / No Limit City / Hacksaw Gaming    Wink
3470  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Watford FC Main Sponsor - UFC Official Betting Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: December 04, 2021, 10:17:08 PM
What is going on with the 11k to 18k players that are constantly logged in lately.... previously when this happened, we had a DDoS attack.. but this is crazy.  Roll Eyes  I know after the Watford win, we had a Post Monthly and the lower level players received reloads... so it explained the Alt's coming to the forum to leech the reloads... but what is happening now?

I hope the "December 16 - Top Secret Stake announcement!" will be the start of a new Lambo giveaway again.  Roll Eyes ..... It has been a while, since we had that... and I hope the $100 000 giveaway is not in it's place now.  Sad
3471  Economy / Economics / Re: Debt super-cycles and bitcoin on: December 03, 2021, 06:58:41 PM
The problem is.... Governments lack the vision to see that the debt that they make today... will be carried by 3 generations of children that will have to carry that burden in the future. The printing of toilet paper money is a sickness that has to be done to match the debt that are spiraling out of control.   Angry

Also, Bitcoin cannot stop governments and individuals from making more debt... because it is just money. The change that can happen is that it is more difficult to "print" money from thin air... like they are doing with fiat currencies.  Wink
3472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking a few crypto myths - governments that allegedly own Bitcoin. on: December 03, 2021, 08:43:00 AM
#OP, I see you are not mentioning the bitcoins that has been confiscated by governments?

Examples :

U.S. government $1.2 billion - https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/04/irs-has-seized-1point2-billion-worth-of-cryptocurrency-this-year-.html

UK government  $158 million - https://www.forbes.com/sites/roberthart/2021/06/25/uk-police-seize-160-million-in-cryptocurrency-in-money-laundering-investigation/

Australia - $1.2 million - https://news.bitcoin.com/australian-police-confiscate-cryptocurrency-worth-1-million-with-help-from-fbi/

So these governments do not have to buy these coins with tax payers money, because they can simply confiscate it from people that used it in crime (including tax evasion)

I have my doubts that they are hoarding all these coins as an investment, because the Silkroad coins were sold on auction as soon as the court case was done.  Roll Eyes
3473  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-11-27] Hillary Clinton Warns of China and Russia ‘Manipulating’ Crypto on: December 03, 2021, 05:40:59 AM
China could have collapsed the whole Bitcoin experiment if they really wanted to, but they did not do that. The Chinese had the most hashing power in mining, but their government "banned" Bitcoin mining. So why would China do this, if they had the power to monopolize the whole Bitcoin mining scene? They even have a monopoly on the manufacturing of ASIC mining ....but they are still exporting those chips to the rest of the world.

Hillary Clinton should go to the old age home (74 years) and run the Chess committee there, because her time has past as a good politician.  Roll Eyes
3474  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐋BETS.IO Casino🐋 Cashout in 10 Minutes | 6 Coins Supported & More Comming on: December 02, 2021, 06:34:42 PM
I see a lot of Slot providers.. but I do not see the popular ones ..like Pragmatic / Hacksaw / NetEnd / QuickSpin and Red Tiger? When will these be added to your Slots? https://www.bets.io/providers

Also make sure you read the ToS.... because it says ...." In case You deposit a sum that is less than the specified minimum deposit limit, your funds will be irrevocably lost. " --> the minimum amount of deposit is BTC 0.0001 / BCH 0.001 / DOG 1 / ETH 0.01 / LTC 0.01 / USDT 0.01 / XRP 0.01.

Other than this.. the site looks good and fun to play with most popular Crypto coins being accepted.  Wink
3475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there still original ideas for innovation in Slot games? on: December 02, 2021, 06:06:34 AM
The reason why I started this discussion is for us to find ways to "innovate" the Slot development in the industry. Let's agree on something, it is very boring to just push a single button to "bet" or even just to put it on "auto" and just sit there and watch the screen.

A lot can be done to make the Slots interactive and more stimulating for people to want to play it. The introduction of Virtual reality in the casino industry has opened doors for more innovation and we will see a lot more exciting things in 2022. (I hope we will be immersed into these virtual worlds and we will be able to interact more within the games)  Roll Eyes

It is mind-numbing to sit in front of a screen and to press a single mouse button or key on a keyboard to watch reels go past.. hoping for a win.  Tongue
3476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto's Wealth on: December 02, 2021, 05:50:24 AM
I have serious doubts if Satoshi Nakamoto even have access to those "early" coins. I think he mined "tokens" in the early days as an experiment and he/she or they never even thought that it would reach a price of $60 000+ .....so Satoshi just threw away the private keys for those experiments. (probably printed on a piece of paper or written down in a notebook)  Roll Eyes

Let's say for one moment that Satoshi has access to the Private keys for these coins, then Satoshi will probably never touch them again. The Blockchain forensics has improved so much, that it might be dangerous for someone like Satoshi to move around these coins. (The criminals are also watching those coins, in the hope that they could possibly identify Satoshi and then get their hands on his wealth)  Angry
3477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ross Ulbricht is releasing an NFT collection for a charity on: December 01, 2021, 04:28:59 PM
This sounds sincere .... "“With this NFT, I see a chance to make a difference…My own future may look bleak, but I can still do a little something to heal the damage I see all around me.” ..... Source : https://freeross.org/nft

I think .. this is the real reason why he is doing this .. " Portrayals of Ross Ulbricht’s case and story have been misleading. This NFT auction is an opportunity to bring renewed attention to his plight and gain support from NFT communities and collectors. " - Source : https://freeross.org/nft

"Uncageable" is my favorite ....  Wink

If this was done for his own profit.... then this would have been wrong, but the fact that it is all going towards a charity.. is good! FreeRoss!!
3478  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinArena.net - a new bitcoin casino review website on: December 01, 2021, 01:24:44 PM
When I look at "review" sites.... the first thing I do ..is to see if a referral link is added to the review URL... then I know what their agenda is... in this case it looks like there are no referral link. So I gather that this site was not created to spread referral links and to get income from that.

Now, the new question is.. How are the host of this site being "paid" to cover his/her cost to host this site? Do the casinos pay the host and if they do.... How biased are the host towards their reviews?

OP can you answer this?
3479  Economy / Gambling / Re: Raffle No.1 - 0.81 ETH Prize - 10x Players 0.1 ETH Entry on: December 01, 2021, 12:11:31 PM
This will only work when all of the 10 people send their 0.1 ETH entry fee in advance to a trustworthy Escrow and then that Escrow pay the 1 winner in the end. If you do not get enough people to join this, you have to have someone that will be refunding the players... so there must be a third party between these players.  Wink

It would be great if this could be "automated" in a smart contract between these players... so it will check for a result and then pay out the total balance of the winner. The smart contract must be clever enough to wait for all the 10 spots to be filled, before it pay out the winner. It must also subtract the fee for the person hosting this "raffle"  Wink
3480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there still original ideas for innovation in Slot games? on: December 01, 2021, 06:03:20 AM
Can someone give us an example of a Slot that introduced something new and innovative in the game dynamics and engine lately? Please mention the game and what was new and innovative.  Wink
I haven’t seen any for a while now and maybe the slots game are really meant to play like this. Are you thinking to play slots the other way? Maybe you can suggest that to a gambling since most of the new gambling site offers the same slot games. Though we’d like innovations but if its still a slot games I guess the result is still the same and house still has the edge over the gamblers.

Yes, may I ask the OP what kind of innovation is he thinking here about slots? Because if he is looking for some kind of changes, then, what is it then? He maybe thinking of something but when it comes to slots, I don't think there will be a new revolutionary idea that will come to this luck-based game. I don't think these providers will start from scratch and invent something else. They will just recycle and maybe modify a lil bit but still the same slots.

The type of innovation that I am talking about, is something like this :

Imagine a series of Slots that link into each other to form one gigantic "Puzzle" that needs to be solved as new Slots are released. So you get a piece of the puzzle (like the Wonka bars in the Willy Wonka Movie) and you have to play all these different Slots to collect these "Wonka bars" to win the giant Jackpot at the end of the year.  Wink

You can also have Slots that play like an adventure game, where you search for items in the different games and that unlocks "Easter Eggs" within the Slot.. that you do not get if you just play for a couple of hours. (Each of these eggs unlocks special bonus features)

It will take out the repetitive nature of these Slot games and add some challenge to it... which is lacking in most Slots.  Wink
