3461  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is it possible to recover overwritten wallet files? on: February 03, 2022, 02:40:24 PM
Thanks for the information. While it's better than no backup, another problem is "Previous Version" use low percentage of partition space. If the partition space is really small and user frequently write files, it's possible Electrum wallet files won't be or less frequently backed up.

Based on my research according to Microsoft the space size that they can handle for the restore point is around 3% to 5% of disk space depending on the hard disk total size.
Since the wallet file is not eating so much data space it should still have a restore point unless if the hard disk drive is totally full.
3462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I install LTC full node on FutuerBit's Apollo BTC miner? on: February 02, 2022, 11:59:54 PM
You should ask this on their official thread but my guess it's no you can't able to install LTC full node because it was built only for BTC.

If you want a better answer then ask this here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5314398.0
3463  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: mining on Antpool from Braiins on an S9j on: February 02, 2022, 11:49:51 PM
I'm not so familiar with Braiins OS but you have so many errors under system logs(OS error 2) which I think are related to your firmware.
The miner program might be corrupted that causes this issue.

Weird I don't know what is this "can't connect to remote host (161.35.82.213): Connection refused" did you buy this as a used/2nd hand unit?

I suggest you try to flash the firmware back to the stock firmware through an SD card and let us troubleshoot it with the original firmware.
You can find the original firmware here "SD card images"
3464  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How to mine Bitcoit using bitcoin CORE on: February 02, 2022, 11:26:03 PM
Before you can able to mine BTC with a PC but right now it won't.
If you want to mine BTC you will need ASIC machines like Antminer s9 it's simple and easy to set up if you have them.

Read this "First time/Small miner reference for getting started." now if you decided to continue and want to mine BTC you can buy them directly on manufacturer's or verified distributor check this list https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5045732.0

About setup or how to configure your own miner, I think you can check this profile https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=348185 under his signature you can find all guides/reviews you can use them as a reference depending on what ASIC machine you bought.
3465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCD network vs Block Chain information on: February 02, 2022, 11:13:01 PM
What wallet are you currently using to receive BCD? If you are using an Exchange wallet then you have a slim chance to get these fork coins.
But if you are using a wallet that generates a mnemonic seed then you have a chance that you can recover this coin.

And take note it's not a BTC but if you want to exchange it to BTC then there is a guide here created by LoyceV on how to get those fork coins. Check the link below
- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2836875.0

Then transfer it again to exchanges where you can able to trade it to BTC. Check the list of exchanges that support this coin here https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bitcoin-diamond#markets
3466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC/ETH trading pair Bot on: February 02, 2022, 10:56:49 PM
I do not know what exactly trading bot you looking for but almost all trading bot is doing the same thing and it depends on how you set up your strategy except on other trading bots which you can only do is copying other strategies. We already have a big list of the trading bots here but I guess you already know that list.

If you are looking for an open-source one and free then Zenbot is what you looking for, everything that you want to do is there you just need to learn how to make your own strategy. Making your own strategies with Zenbot is not easy you must learn first how it works so check these docs below and learn about creating strategies.

3467  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is it possible to recover overwritten wallet files? on: February 02, 2022, 10:39:08 PM
Doesn't "previous version" feature on Windows is disabled by default?

Actually, I do not know but I didn't change any settings on my PC so I think DireWolfM14 is right it's enabled by default.

Well not just for Microsoft files but it's also working on folders and other files I already have experience on overwritten files including wallet files which work well. The only problem is if the above problem is beyond 30 days.
3468  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: mining on Antpool from Braiins on an S9j on: February 01, 2022, 11:50:31 PM
You might need to wait a bit a few minutes before it shows up on the Antpool dashboard also sometimes if there are extra spaces on the pool URL it does not work and make sure you have the worker name and pass.

Here follow this guide How to configure miner

If it doesn't work would you mind sharing with us the logs from your S9j unit I think Braiins OS has two logs the kernel and system logs you need to copy both of them and share them with us here? And maybe we can see the issue from your logs.
3469  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is it possible to recover overwritten wallet files? on: February 01, 2022, 11:14:24 PM
If you believe that it was overwritten would you mind trying this suggestion below.

Look for the wallet file yours is new_wallet even it's new or old let us try if we can revert it back to the original file just right-click the file then go to properties.
There are 4 tabs just go to Previous versions and let's hope that there is one previous version in case you found one just click it and restore.
3470  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: scanning transaction history on: February 01, 2022, 11:05:18 PM
Newly installed Bitcoin core is set to the pruned mode by default so possible hosseinimr93 is right you need to disable or uncheck that part under the Bitcoin core settings as suggested above.

Hello here the error parts:
2022-02-01 19:11 (ERROR) -- ArmoryQt.py:1188 - 6 attempts to load blockchain failed.  Remove mempool.bin.
2022-02-01 19:11 (ERROR) -- ArmoryQt.py:1193 - File mempool.bin does not exist. Nothing deleted.

Thank you!

Would you mind trying to remove the mempool.bin manually you can find it under C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Armory and look for mempool.bin and delete it.

But before you do that make sure both Armory and Bitcoin core are closed and then restart and open both Bitcoin core and Armory again manually.
and hope this time will work if it's fully sync and not set to pruned mode.
3471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BitcoinCore stuck at "Done loading" on: February 01, 2022, 10:37:03 PM
What version of Bitcoin core did you install? Did you recently update it to the latest version and this issue popup after updating it to the latest version?

Can you find the debug.log on the Bitcoin folder and paste it here make sure to put it inside the code tag or use paste.com to share the debug.log here.

You can also try to reinstall Bitcoin core just make sure you already have a wallet backup or make a backup of your wallet.dat file that you can find in the Bitcoin/wallet folder.
3472  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Pangolin mines (https://pangolinmines.com/) a SCAM ? on: February 01, 2022, 05:10:45 PM
Next time if you are going to buy a miner to an unknown website make sure to make a thread here on the forum.
So that we can give you a few insights about the website if it is legit or not.

The bloke on Twitter might be one of them or an affiliate?

And I suggest you make a thread on Scam accusation section and include your evidence so that other people are aware of this scam/fake website.
3473  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: January 31, 2022, 11:53:07 PM
Is this still reliable? I see tons of people with 30+ activity that aren't passed Newbie yet.

Is there an updated chart somewhere if it isn't up to date?

Have you read the text at the beginning of this thread? The updated one?

Right now before you can able to rank up or become a Jr. Member with 30+ activity you need to receive 1 merit.

Read the rank and merit requirements here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0
3474  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Pangolin mines (https://pangolinmines.com/) a SCAM ? on: January 31, 2022, 11:35:17 PM
Same here never heard of them and their domain is a few months old.

Look at the whois

Code:
Registrar:NameCheap, Inc.
Registered On:2021-08-20
Expires On:2022-08-20
Updated On:2021-08-20
Status:clientTransferProhibited
Name Servers:ns1.siteground.net
ns2.siteground.net

It was hosted on siteground and the other thing that I notice is that they do not have many backlinks so how did you exactly find them?
For me, this website is scam they do not have much impression and it's not the official one or the verified distributor. That is why manufacturers always recommend only deal to any verified seller or distributor.

I suggest you if you don't own this website to get strong backlinks here on the forum edit your post above and remove the https:// on that domain to make sure it won't link here on the forum. Because you are just helping them to rank up on Google SERP.

3475  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How Coinbase knows an account is from a sex worker? on: January 31, 2022, 11:06:53 PM
Since Coinbase have their own database of wallet and addresses then maybe that worker is actually withdrawing the BTC from the site directly to his Coinbase account?
BTC is not completely anonymous all transactions you made can still see in the block explorer and possible the BTC that she withdraw and the address where the BTC came from might have a name on any blockchain explorer pointing to a sex site?

I heard that Coinbase have their own way to investigate how to know if their users are using illegal activities.

That is why there are tumblers or mixers out there to completely make your transaction anonymous if you use your sex account and withdraw them and sent them directly to Coinbase there is a possibility they can know where it came from.

It's not also a good practice to use Coinbase as a wallet if you working on a sex site you must use a tumbler/mixer or if you want to exchange your BTC always use P2P exchange just to avoid that issue.
3476  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [b] Avalon 851 pmu change problems [b] on: January 31, 2022, 10:44:44 PM
How about the API logs would you mind copying the whole thing and paste them here?

Maybe we can see the reason under that API logs without them we can't identify which exactly the issue of your miner is.
Or your miner is totally dead?

I don't know if there is a tool that could detect the problem with this unit or to check the hashboard just like on Antminer units where you can able to test each hashboard.
Why not try to contact zeusBTC and maybe they have a tool or software that can able to use the same as testfixture.
3477  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: scanning transaction history on: January 31, 2022, 05:37:49 PM
If you are new why did you tried to scan? did you import a wallet? Or sent a btc on that wallet?

Like the above said it needs bitcoin core and it must be fully sync before you can fully use armory.

But if you don't have funds yet on armory wallet you can switch to other wallet like electrum that doesn't need to download the whole blockchain.
3478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Completed transaction to electrum (latest update) 4.1.5 but the btc never came. on: January 30, 2022, 11:53:06 PM
Did you make another transaction from Electrum and sent it to this address 39JKFuDHbuh3AyXFoea8QbTYDCBDQMk3Qz?

This transaction below is what I'm talking about

Have you made this transaction?

If not your wallet might be infected and maybe you downloaded a fake Electrum wallet?

It might be just a syncing issue from the current server or nodes you use? You can try disabling the select server automatically and manually choose a known working server under networks and reopen Electrum again and let's see if it will sync the latest info about your wallet.
3479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Completed transaction to electrum (latest update) 4.1.5 but the btc never came. on: January 30, 2022, 11:40:19 PM
Which exactly did you receive from Electrum? Is that the Coinbase to Electrum or the localbitcoin?

According to the transaction, it was confirmed and you should receive it if this bc1qa95udp2qqglqlthlnhg44zwkmlwwcsy5h7ph9w address is your Electrum wallet then according to that address it's already sent including the other transaction to another BTC address which is this 39JKFuDHbuh3AyXFoea8QbTYDCBDQMk3Qz a total amount of 0.01072629 was being transferred to that address.

As you said above you got the money from one of them but did you transfer it to this address 39JKFuDHbuh3AyXFoea8QbTYDCBDQMk3Qz?

Check Electrum you must see another transaction under history tab.
3480  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S19 Water/Snow Intake Damage on: January 30, 2022, 11:26:52 PM
Now I see the problem it only detects a few ASIC chips and the hashboard power off if the number of detected chips is lower than the expected number.

Possible few ASIC chips are damaged on that two hashboard or maybe there is a leak/colder joint on a few ASIC chips that need to be reflow with hot air. If you don't have BGA hot air try to use a hair blower and blow hot air to the broken hashboard 3 to 8 minutes and try to run it again.

If you can't find the exact hashboad which one is the broken and working one test them one by one just disconnect the other two hashboard PSU cable and ribbon cable from the control board.
