3461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most Bullish Altcoin of the moment on: August 16, 2021, 03:48:26 PM
Ethereum, Axie infinity,  bnb.The positive trend have started but the bull market is not here yet.  I doubt if market will recover fully.  It's only when market recovers to it's ATH or very close to it that the bull may ride aggressively otherwise,  market might stall for a very some time!

Let's see, we don't know what would certainly happen but we have to trust our instinct.

I'm sure those who are bullish in crypto are now happy because they are seeing a big bounce back after a big price correction.
just after bitcoin hit a new ATH this year which was around $64k, bitcoin drop more than 50% of that price, so I would say it's really a big correction and maybe the next bull run will start soon.
3462  Economy / Speculation / Re: People are panic buying right now! on: August 16, 2021, 03:13:54 PM
Right. recently many people are flocking to buy bitcoins when the price continues to soar. Even those who used to think bitcoin was over, are now starting to invest again. Although not buying when the bitcoin price fell to $30k but now you can still buy bitcoin because in the future the bitcoin price will set a new record. Hence bitcoin holders, in the long run, are the winners.

They are buying because they are hoping to earn since they believe the bull run is coming back again and we need to avoid doing this since its really dangerous to get FOMO then buy when market keeps pumping since we never know what will be the ending of it and might we will bag hold since we bought at the top. Yeah I agree although the long term holder is always a winner on this but the question there is does those people who bought at the top can handle the market stress? if yes they might be lucky but if not well to bad for them.

It's only FOMO if don't have a realistic target to sell, it's still good to ride even if the price is pumping because, in short term, you can be profitable with good timing. With how the price is moving now, it really gives the impression that a bull run is still here and we might again see a big run in the last quarter of the year, just like last year.
3463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anything like excess gambling on: August 16, 2021, 12:34:37 PM
Don’t gamble excessively because it leads to strong addiction.
Indeed. When we often gamble excessively, we probably are addicted already. And if it continues for years, we may have a heavy addiction. Everyone must avoid a heavy addiction since recovery will be more difficult. For a heavy addiction, it should get special treatment from an expert (doctor). And to recover from this addiction level mostly takes a longer time.

We will never last a year if we are too addicted, gambling does not have a limit for losers, only for winners, so if you keep losing, you are most welcome because they make money from you, and if you are not enjoying, then most probably you will just chase and time will come you'll steal money just to gamble.
3464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: August 16, 2021, 11:57:50 AM
The customers may notice this, and may instead go to illegal gambling dens. In the end, the legal casinos will lose their business, and the government will witness a fall in tax revenue.
Why will the customers go for illegal gambling when gambling is accepted in the country, only this can be used when gambling is not allowed in a country just like Muslims countries, but if gambling is legal, gambling sites will want to follow the rules and laws of their government. But what I know is that people that know about cryptocurrency's gambling site will see it attractive as no tax may be paid.
Some gamblers would still go in illegal casinos despite the country is legalizing gambling already, I think it's normal as some would want to have a different experience and probably the ambiance is different. There are even underground casinos, but personally, I have not experienced it yet.
3465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 15, 2021, 09:24:22 PM
This season, I really want to see a final series between Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets.
Everyone wants to see them in the NBA Finals, Lebron is bound for NBA Finals again this season that's why they are making their team stronger with the addition of  Russell Westbrook. My biggest concern is only the Chemistry, no question about their talent, but if they don't play as a team, they are not going our expectations from them.

I agree. It will be very important for Lakers to be able to play as a team. Westbrook is a team leader normally. He likes to play with ball very much. Let's see what playing alongside Lebron will bring to him. Lebron will still be the team leader of course. If he communicates with Westbrook well, they can destroy their opponents one by one.

Honestly I think more people DONT want to see the Lakers in the finals.  These super teams are getting dumb and boring.  I say it all the time bit the NBA peaked in the late 80s and 90s when there were true rivalries and the best want to BEAT the best not play with them.  It made for better games.  Playoffs are more and more anti climatic and boring/passive as each year goes on.  Kudos to ginnis for wanting to keep it that way.  Knick fan but I will always root for those type of players.

I think the organization should start evaluating the rules and not allow a team to create a super team, this is not fair for other teams as they will lose fans since all eyes are on the super team. We can't deny that most fans just love to see the best players in the NBA be on the floor, and in this matter, we have the Lakers and Nets who have most of the NBA players, so most fans would love to see them play.

Westbrook, James, and Davis are all MVPs, though Davis only won as MVP in the all-star game.

Irving, Durant, and James, they can compete with the big 3 of the Lakers.
3466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Probably fair casino on: August 15, 2021, 09:19:14 PM
you can read all the information about the meaning of provably fair - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provably_fair_algorithm

Most casinos are provably fair, anyone can verify that, and as long as they have operated already for years, you can assume that they are reputable, otherwise they will not gain the attraction of the gamblers. However, we have to understand that not because they are provably fair doesn't mean our chance to win is 50/50, no they still have the house edge so they'll win in the long run.
3467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin in the highest level of trust? on: August 15, 2021, 08:38:04 PM
Being the mother of cypto currency, its value remained awesome from the beginning though it had many obstacles in the Beginning stage. Recent its ATH has drawn in so many investors into it. This says how people are open and confident enough to try crypto currencies.  And as all other cyrpto currencies follow Bitcoin's  growth, Everyone is investing in bitcoin. The demand and supply of bitcoin raises its trust and its value in the market. Word of mouth played a great role in it as well.
Whether it will make an ATH or not, it will always draw the attention of the investors as bitcoin always remain the number 1 cryptocurrency in the market. No other coin has even close to bitcoin, now with a dominance of 44% over the entire altcoins, I guess we know how big the popularity of bitcoin is over the others.
3468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 15, 2021, 08:19:31 PM

i think people enjoyed their fight. i wouldn't be surprised if there will be another. a rematch will be fun.
if they are making money out of this match and they like the sport, there is no stopping. Rigo i think enjoyed this one too. there is nothing for casimero to do as well but to fight whoever is there available if inoue and donaire won't fight him.

congrats to Casimero!

Literally not a single person enjoyed this fight. A rematch is not necessary because nobody wants to see Rigondeaux fight again. He will stink up the place again. Bantamweight is still a loaded division and there will be other interesting opponents for Casimero.

Everyone knows it's a boring fight, even if you just watch the highlights on youtube, you can see a lot of comments that says the fight is boring. Prior to the fight, Rigondeaux said that Casimero will see a devil in the ring, but what happens is it's a running Devil trying to run for his life, in short, he only sell but does not show it in the actual fight.

The first time that Rigondeaux was criticized this much.
3469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano (ADA) coin hit $10 During 2021? on: August 15, 2021, 01:44:58 PM
ADA has a great run in this week and has been rise more than 50% just in one week. I think $10 is very realistic and it could be happen again if we're see another bull run in the end of this month, I hope the market can stay away from bad news so that our wish to see Cardano hit $10 can be realized.

Can't underestimate ADA's performance this year, it seems like it's not done yet and since $2 was already achieved and the market is still bullish, we might still continue to see more increase especially if bitcoin will again hit a new ATH.

In Jan. 1 the start of this year, ADA was only priced at 0.18 USD, so the price has already increased by 12 times. That's a very impressive growth of ADA.
3470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Always gamble with sense on: August 15, 2021, 01:19:19 PM
Sports results cannot be rigged, they are 100% provably fair because you can always verify the results in any news outlet online that caters to sports news. Also, you can watch the game, maybe some games could be rig but the final score or the result is the basis of whether you win or lose.

I think one has to understand the risk in gambling, particularly in sports betting so they know what they are doing.
3471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if US ban cryptocurrencies? on: August 15, 2021, 12:45:55 PM
Do you guys think one day USA may ban cryptocurrencies? If yes what would happen? I think it's not totally impossible and that would be a global crash on prices.

All possibilities can happen in the crypto world, nothing is impossible here, but so far I have not seen any special ban from the USA, for the development of the cryptocurrency world or its prohibition.

But if this happens, the impact that cryptocurrency will experience is quite large, considering that is where the largest currency exchange process in the world, both digital money and paper money, and many conditions that occur there affect the crypto world today.

We don't want to see that happening, so let us not think it will happen. However, it's okay to prepare for the worst scenario but this should not end crypto as it's decentralized and people are using it. When China ban bitcoin, it affected the market in just a short period of time, but the market has recovered and has taken already to where we are now.
3472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Moloney vs Franco III: Ordered by WBA (No date yet) on: August 15, 2021, 12:20:57 PM

I lost my bet too, because I put my money on Moloney, I really thought that he will be extra motivated and do everything to win in the trilogy. But congrats to Franco, he become the underdog and we didn't see that he can adjust and really be focus and prove his critics wrong with a huge statement win without any controversies whatsoever.

Though I didn't bet, but I also see the same way. I was under the impression that Maloney will try to win back his title and force this into a trilogy.

But Franco showcase his talent and take this win to put that dot and conclude this match. He wins, and he earned now all the respect after that first fight that creates controversies.

Congrats to all takers who win after this fight, sweet as Franco was the underdog within this fight. He'll going to keep his belt and wait for another set of challengers. Congrats to him!

That fight was already a trilogy and the trilogy was already concluded with a unanimous win by Joshua Franco Franco.

You can see the complete list of fights of Joshua Franco here https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/727368....

If he was not headbutt in the 2nd fight, maybe he could have won the fight and we will not see a Trilogy anymore, but this is done.
3473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anything like excess gambling on: August 14, 2021, 08:16:28 PM
To set a fixed percentage of your income for gambling is the most correct strategy to not lose control over your monthly budget. Of course for gambling addicted individuals it's not an easy thing to do, so in these cases I think they could ask for the support of a trusted family member to hold their income while they aren't able to manage it efficiently yet. This way their money will be safe and they don't risk going bankrupt.
This is what I will do if ever I become a gambling addict which if you ask me if ever it will happen then my answer is no. Even though I gambled but it doesn't make a gambling addict and I can control myself when gambling. Asking for support from family is quite effective to let your family manage your money when you can managed it efficiently. I remembered replying to a thread where I said that doing this kind of way to manage your fund and at the same time, you can only gamble the money you have and the rest is manage by your trusted family member.
For me I don't trust my money to other people, I manage my own money as I believe I'm mature enough to do so. Yes, I gamble, I mean a lot and I made some mistakes in the past so it makes me more matured especially in keeping my discipline, I learned the hard way short, but anyone can learn without losing a lot of money but just by learning from the experience of other people.
3474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Economic Costs of Gambling on: August 14, 2021, 07:49:04 PM
While it is true that addiction can happen the majority of the gamblers can enjoy it without suffering any bad effects on their lives and if anything I will be more worried about people being addicted to their smartphones than gambling addiction as it is way more common, also in most countries people are considered to be adults at 18 years old so it is impossible to stop them from gambling if that is what they want to do, unless you propose that age is pushed even farther back which I do not think it is going to be very popular among the young population.
Could you please underline this claim with facts? This thread should be based on facts rather then based on beliefs. So do you know about a study stating that the majority of gamblers can enjoy it without suffering?

I do not have such statistics (although I would look at it with interest if someone provided the relevant research), but I can assume that if a significant number of gamblers suffered from their addiction, then gambling would be prohibited everywhere. By the way, would it be nice if you first clearly defined what you mean by suffering? The range of this concept is quite wide.

I agree with that, however, that number might only be a small percentage only if compared to the total number of people who are gambling, the reason why gambling platforms still exist and in fact, their industry is improving and continue to be one of the most lucrative business on earth. Gambling addiction is a gambler's fault, not on the gambling site.

As they say, the gambling industry is a billion-dollar industry and it's just amazing to see that despite the pandemic, the gambling industry is still very profitable. According to this reputable site, U.S. gambling revenue this year has broken the previous record.

3475  Economy / Speculation / Re: People are panic buying right now! on: August 14, 2021, 07:16:25 PM
People are so excited about the prospect that bitcoin is bringing up these days. Especially with the prediction that bitcoin could rise to $100,000 over the next decade. Hence the reason why people are competing to invest in Cryptocurrencies. Because when the price of bitcoin soars, people who have coins are certainly happy, on the other hand, when the price goes down, not a few people see it as an opportunity or a loss.
some peoplr aware that the price of bitcoin could go up $50,000 when bitcoin price was only $500 including me.
but cant resist to go all in sell them all at $10,000 , and guess what..  we bought them all again at $20,000 but the price goes down to as low as $3k back in early 2020 , mathematically we are still in profit but shit happened and cant buy more when it was dropped to $3k , in the end situation forced to cut the lossess on $5k..

we can only watching now no matter it is a FOMO or whatever.. bitcoin will always worth to buy in any price if you are a believer.

Definitely because if you are just willing to hold, you will surely find an opportunity to sell at a good profit. Bitcoin hit $60,000 already, we thought that $100K is just too much for just a short period of time but we were surprised in the past bull run, so there's no reason to discount the success of bitcoin and we should still continue to be bullish so we will not be surprise again.
3476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are Airdrops and Bounties worth the work? on: August 13, 2021, 08:14:47 PM
No Doubt! I have seen many peope around me who had made  huge amount from bounties & airdrop, also some of them might not pay but some bounties like Amepay can give you huge profit, in my opinion if you have spare time then you should do it.
Amepay is a very good quality project. It paid all the payments to the Bounty Hunters. Student coin on the other hand is also a very good quality project but it did not pay the hunters in full. There will be two types of projects, good and bad. Those who have a lot of free time can participate in the bounty. Because bounty is a good way to make money without investing.
Those who care about their reputation are good projects, some just choose to scam bounty hunters despite the fact that they raised a good amount during the ICO or crowd sale, one example is Student coin who has been for so many years in the space, and when they finally reach a decent amount, listed in the good exchange, they just choose not to reward the effort of their advertisers, particularly the bounty hunters. With that action, they already ruin their reputation which is hard to restore anymore.
3477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 13, 2021, 06:41:04 AM
Leonard is staying with the LA Clippers.

NBA free agency 2021: Kawhi Leonard agrees to four-year, $176.3 million contract with Clippers

With this news, I still consider the LA Clippers to be one of the favorites to win the NBA Championship next season.
I think they just need to manage the minutes of Leonard like what Raptors did when during his time there, the "load management" is very helpful.
3478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 13, 2021, 06:20:05 AM

My bad, I should take that early odd which gave Casimero 1.44 than what it is now.

Just a 3% drop, still worth it if you really believe that Casimero would win this fight.

Still on stake, and nothing on Sportsbet yet.

No handicap betting yet, it might be available tomorrow since the fight is already in 2 days from now.

Waiting for the handicap betting as well, as I have said, ML is not that attractive and it the odds keeps on dropping, then surely not a good way to bet.

Speaking of handicap betting, what rounds you guys think that the fight will end? 8-9-10 for a Casimero win or 10-11-12 for a knock out?

I think it will be 4-5-6.  Smiley... I'm thinking of almost the same scenario against Tete where he knocks him out in round 3, I will give Rigo 3 more rounds though. Anyway, I don't really count it, it's just for fun as I don't underestimate Rigo, but if he will get caught by a clean punch, we know what will happen to him.

I'm disappointed because my bet was cancelled, I can't anymore bet on Pacquiao as an underdog as the current odds against Ugas, he is a heavy favorites.

Odds in sportsbet

Manny Pacquiao 1.26
Yordenis Ugas 3.45
