3461  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium error when trying send coins with ledger nano s on: March 17, 2019, 06:46:52 AM
Just an update, I just faced this issue in mycelium, tried to clear cache the app, then still that error pops, after I click the send button or after I confirm the transaction in my ledger. So using electrum helps me with this.
3462  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium error when trying send coins with ledger nano s on: March 17, 2019, 03:34:12 AM
Try to double check if your mycelium app is up to date, if yes try to follow what HCP said. Also, are you sure that the ledger is the correct wallet for the account on your mycelium? Coz one time I encountered some error while I'm going to send using ledger and mycelium, as a bit lazy I didn't notice yet until such time that I use a different ledger (coz i'm using 2 of them).
3463  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CoininvestBank on: March 17, 2019, 03:22:07 AM
They decide to try it up even they do know thats risky or they dont really just know?
We are here to give advises and saying all over again and again but people dont really listen up.
From what I observed people try their very luck with these exceptional commissions/rewards from these new exchanges like what mentioned above, then referring people with their referral links believing they will get this rewards for free from a new exchange. There's no one will give you free/large money for just registering a site.
3464  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Spell and grammar checker? on: March 16, 2019, 07:13:20 PM
I've been changing it into a correct one babasahin ko muna kasi minsan nagkamali din si Grammarly lalo na hindi tama ang pagkaayos ng sentence mo, indeed, it is very helpful talaga.
Depende yan if anung gamit mong language grammar, if american, british, cad, or australian.

I didn't notice this mate, at hindi ko alam saan makikita. Well, maganda pala talaga siya hindi lang spell checker ang usage niya.
Meron yan if premium account mo, Just click 'New/upload' sa left side may toggle button yan which you can turn it off/on.
3465  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CoininvestBank on: March 16, 2019, 07:04:59 PM
Joined for the freebie. Will not be investing. Will wait the 60 days and see if I can withdraw.
I can already see them pop up a notification after 60 days that you either have to make a small deposit, that their terms are changed and it's no longer available, or that they end up taking a run.
Rather than making small deposit or you will be required to download a small executable file or browser's plugin which a common case from like this exchanges.
Or, the account will be banned/disabled after 60 days.

Wondering why do people keep using this new popup exchange than using a reputed and known one.
3466  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Help with wallet will reward. 4.67 BTC showing in coinb.in wallet but wont spend on: March 16, 2019, 06:46:43 PM
Maybe he was planning on rewarding HCP only for giving a little more details. His post isn't clear, he only asks someone to post the address, could be either you or HCP or both.
OP never goes online again after his last post, so maybe don't expect too much. But yes, I have a guess that he's referring to HCP as last posted before him, and its the exact thing to import a nested segwit wallet on electrum.
3467  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-13]Chinese Political Leaders Propose Cryptocurrency Regulation on: March 16, 2019, 04:33:22 PM
Maybe there already convinced that some bans will not help and decided to regulate its circulation? In any case, the regulation of cryptocurrency is much better than meaningless bans.
Or maybe they realized that there are huge benefits of accepting and regulate crypto in china for the sake of their political leaders?

This may be good a piece of news for most of CT but I dunno how it affects with the people in the mainland china where their government want to control all aspects that will give them benefits.
3468  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is good for me? on: March 16, 2019, 03:08:40 PM
So to wrap this all up, you also recommend to stick to Fiverr for a purpose like mine ?
The last applicant in the line for this day will be gourl.io that I just ran into.
Will it join to his risky friends or it has proven itself differently?
sorry for the lot of questions I want to make sure that I choose the best way.
Thanks again.
No, there are many freelancer websites to start/sell your service, you can use xbtfreelancer as people suggesting it too, just use those known websites to show your service/products to broader users. Just don't use satoshibox or site related to them to avoid withdrawal issues in the future or anything similar.
3469  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Spell and grammar checker? on: March 16, 2019, 01:38:22 PM
I'm using grammarly mga 3 years na siguro pero never ako nag ka problema or anything related sa security issues. Just using yung plugin nila para sa chrome, never used yung keyboard or yung word plugin nila. Pero di ko alam yung sa ibang spell checker, never tried them except grammarly.
So I guess di lahat ng spell checker has this kind of risks, make sure na trusted and known lang yung ginagamit or gagamitin niyo.

3472  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum clients older than 3.3 can no longer connect to public electrum servers on: March 15, 2019, 09:04:22 AM
Electrum clients older than 3.3 can no longer connect to public electrum servers. We started exploiting a DOS vulnerability in those clients, in order to force their users to upgrade, and to prevent exposure to phishing messages. Linux Tail users should download our Appimage.

3473  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-13] Accepting bitcoin without a payment gateway on: March 14, 2019, 08:12:07 PM
One problem that businesses may encounter if they only provide btc address for payment is how to detect which payment comes from which customer.
Well they should pair it with even just email. I have an small online shop where I accept btc but never used any payment gateway because of high fees and etc. Instead I just use my btc addresses where I add all my address in a list, and randomly it appear on payment page, once there's a purchase I get the record of unique id, email ofc and the same time the address to identify which the payment came from, once a payment was made, some email notification that will be received by me then process the purchase manually.

The disadvantage is the address may be used again but that's not an issue to identify the purchase, date time record may vary for that.
3474  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-03-14] Bitfury Integration to Bring Bitcoin Lightning Payments to More... on: March 14, 2019, 07:39:46 PM
Bitfury Integration to Bring Bitcoin Lightning Payments to More Merchants

Bitfury announced Thursday that it has integrated its web-based lightning network Peach Merchant API (application programming interface) with HadePay’s platform, allowing businesses to accept payments over the lightning network and “improving the efficiency and lowering the costs” of bitcoin transactions.

After payment is made, merchants can “immediately” convert bitcoins into another currency through HadePay’s platform, Bitfury said.

You PM'ed me about the red trust, I showed you the rules of ban evasion. Now there's no way you can revert what is done. This account will be banned soon once mod take a look into this.
3476  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: For which exchanges is KYC required? on: March 13, 2019, 12:26:57 AM
Kyc os always required when you are dealing with Fiat.

When dealing with cryptoxcrypyo you can avoid kyc, as many exchanges do not require it.

When involving large crypto amounts though, KYC is required

Yeah, that's for a very high volume. I think binance only requires kyc for volume above 2 BTC.
And so far, that's the most recommended exchange to do so.

Since there are exchanges need KYC right after registration and you can't use these exchanges without doing so like bittrex and polo I guess.
3477  Other / Meta / Re: Is it a forum bug? A copper member and stood at member rank wears avatar! on: March 11, 2019, 04:46:59 PM
So upon browsing the account's posts, seems he was already a full member then, an inactive one, unfortunately, posts were deleted for some reasons (due off-topic posts, or the mass deletion of mega threads way back then, and etc) maybe weeks or days before merit was implemented and was demoted to member rank while the avatar remains but the avatar tab/link was removed, so his permission to upload or edit his avatar was removed as well.

See the user's post here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2909912.msg29928460#msg29928460 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2954878.20

So is it really just a coincidence that someone was demoted from FM wearing an avatar to member then the avatar remains? or just a bug.
3478  Other / Meta / Re: DT members - ethical to sell DT services? on: March 11, 2019, 03:55:43 PM
I was so sure it was 500!!!!
I guess I might become Hero 2 weeks earlier than expected.
But you have to reach the 480 activity first before reaching the hero rank but that's not an issue you'll probably reach that in a matter of time.
3479  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-3-8]Jack Dorsey: Twitter CEO Buys $10,000 in Bitcoin Weekly on: March 10, 2019, 11:49:15 PM
What he is really doing is promoting his own companies service then doing it for the good of bitcoin exposure. Undecided
That's normal to promote/advertise his own business but with a twist with bitcoin. I like this dude actually.
With this kind of news, bitcoin will boom slowly.
3480  Other / Meta / Re: This account is a Ban Evader, proof on post #7, Mod pls use ban hammer?! on: March 10, 2019, 06:56:27 PM
