3462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to teach older people about bitcoin technology? on: August 20, 2023, 11:31:25 AM
Bitcoin has captured the center of attention, especially with the younger generations showing keen interest in it. Yet, there are those who believe that teaching older individuals about it might not be a wise investment of time. However, we must ponder: does it carry value? This conversation revolves around the question of whether it's worthwhile to educate older generations about bitcoin.

Bitcoin is for everyone and it doesn't matter the age of the person, if they come to you to teach them about bitcoin then you're obligated to do so as to help them learn about the freedom that comes from owning and using bitcoin for transaction instead of depending on fiats.

When you teach older people about bitcoin they can in return teach their children, nephews, niece, grandkids and others relating to them which will help spread the knowledge of Bitcoin to everyone. Nobody should be denied the opportunity of learning about Bitcoin.

It might be difficult to teach older people as they're very skeptical about new technology but that's why you don't have to force yourself on them but allow them to pick interest before you start teaching them and they'll be willing to learn since they're the ones that approach you.
3463  Economy / Speculation / Re: take advantage of opportunities on: August 20, 2023, 10:47:16 AM
There are always different opportunity for us to buy and hold any amount of Bitcoin that we wish to buy in as much as we have the capital to do that. If we have the fund to accumulate large number of Bitcoin, this will be a good idea because the market is still struggling for the bull run and when that time comes when everything is going to bullish, we all going to be making some good profits from the market even does the price is not stable for now.

The unstable price happening now is a good indicator to start buying Bitcoin if you haven't already bought. SpaceX selling their Bitcoin shouldn't discourage you from buying Bitcoin now that the price is very low, we don't have their type of money to buy large amount in future.

Space X can buy thousands of Bitcoin when the price is starting to pump and be among those that'll profit from the bull market but by then it'll be late for we that don't have millions to spare so now is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the market and accumulate.

SpaceX could be intentionally selling the Bitcoin they owned by exposing that they're selling so the market can react by dumping and after the dump they go back to buy more Bitcoin and increase the amount they previously owned that's why we shouldn't trust this companies.
3464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Typical scenario when you are losing on: August 20, 2023, 09:34:23 AM
I’ve been gambling for a long time which make sme experience tons of losses and gains at the same time. On this topic, I listed below the typical scenario whenever I experience loss. I notice this before but I’m ignoring it because I don’t want to believe that it’s really the cause.

The most relatable scenario you listed is chasing small bets that I lost even when I'm already in huge profits. I made his mistakes when I started gambling newly as I didn't want to have loses in my bet history but I learnt the lesson the hard way as I almost lost everything.

Most gambler don't realize that, it isn't about how many bets you won or lost while gambling but it should be about the overall results been in profits. You can lose more bet but the bets you won are in big numbers that it won't matter if you win just few bets for the day.

I don't gambler that often late at night, during that period my brain would had been tired from the days works but the only time I might bet at night is when there are late night games that I have to watch and play live bets because that's the way I enjoy playing sport betting.
3465  Economy / Gambling / Re: Opinion on crypto casino project on: August 20, 2023, 09:17:07 AM
In my opinion, people go to particular casino for the reputation it has built over the years and the confidence that they are less likely to do fraud with kyc and their funds.

Now, this can be done by any new casino, consistently provide good service and then the day will come when you will be recognized and compete with head of tables, thing is preservence. Stake is king of throne right now, it won't be forever.

You're right, many gamblers use a particular casino because of the reputation it has gained for been trustworthy. No new casino can come into the scene and dominate immediately. Stake platform isn't a new and it has been around for some time but just gaining attention now.

Any casino that's launching will need time to get gamblers attention therefore they shouldn't waste their money in marketing immediately they start, they should grow organically so they can have loyal fans that won't leave them when they're not the most popular casino.

One challenge of any casino trying to offer a service for decentralized gambling is where to host their sever in a decentralize manner and it surprises me that we don't have a decentralized hosting company operating which means no casino can be fully decentralized.
3466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: August 20, 2023, 09:05:38 AM
Victory is a temptation. When I win, sometimes it makes us lose control which causes us to continue to chase victory for the second time and continue to increase the number of bets significantly which in the end makes us lose. Which at first we were lucky to be stupefied.
then this is where good self-control is needed so that we can benefit from gambling and can minimize losses. It's better if you get a big win in gambling, to immediately stop the gambling activities that you are doing and withdraw all the profits you get to temporarily enjoy the winnings you get or the money is used for things that are more useful than you have to spend it back in gambling ,

Many gamblers also experience this that's what I said gambling addiction doesn't only come from losing but winning frequently can also lead to addition. Victory bring more temptation to continue gambling and if you don't discipline yourself you'll get addicted easily.

After winning a big win, you can continue gambling but you should have a budget that you won't exceed no matter what happens. If you continue winning that's good but when you lose don't chase after the losses or you'll end up losing more than you previously lost.

Profits gotten from gambling should be invested in other things that won't need you praying to be lucky for you to get profits. You can take your win and invest in Bitcoin for a long term investment that you won't be in a hurry to sell, been very careful is needed while gambling.
3467  Economy / Speculation / Re: what a surprise dip on: August 19, 2023, 10:27:27 PM
I got notified few minutes ago on the sudden drop of -11 % bitcoin price and I also noticed same thing also affected other altcoin, while in a post they said of price surging within 72hrs that is to say that from now till 20 August we might see a potential Green and may cross above 30k within the next 3 days.

What is possibly to happen in the market, more dip that's seeing below 20k or something similar?
And is this another sign for bear market?

When ever Bitcoin gets hit, it's the altcoins that gets affected the most and that's why it's not good to invest in altcoins because their success depends on how well Bitcoin is doing and holding altcoins during bear market is a big mistakes that'll make you keep losing.

What just happened to the price of Bitcoin is a good reason why we shouldn't trust any predictions we see online and also not from forum members because they aren't always accurate and bitcoin market can change instantaneously just as it just did with this crash.

We can't predict exactly what is next in the market that's why we speculate and my speculation is that Bitcoin might experience another correction but this doesn't change the bullish sentiment of the market by the end of the year because we're approaching Bitcoin halving.
3468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream is coming close. on: August 19, 2023, 10:10:43 PM
I know it is a big or uncommon goal to achieve considering my current income. I have a big dream of owning one Bitcoin before a certain period. So when people are bothered that the price of Bitcoin is dropping, I am seeing it as an opportunity to go closer to my dream. I am in no way happy that the price is dropping but one Bitcoin will always be one Bitcoin, no matter the price today. If you are sure of bitcoin, you will not be concerned about the price today because the price in the future will always exceed the current price.I have learned from this forum that there is no need to dump your coin because of FUD, this distraction will come and go. So I am no longer reading those blogs or social media that is promoting this this fear that will make me dump my small holding and abandon my dream. My focus is to own one Bitcoin.

What are you doing in trying to get one bitcoin really matters because if you don't have any plans and just hoping you can't achieve that goal. How much is your salary and how much are you saving to invest in Bitcoin all matters because bitcoin is still very high after dumping.

I'll encourage you to continue planning towards achieving your goals of owning one Bitcoin because when you do that, that'll give you more motivation but don't lose hope if you can't get one Bitcoin. You can invest the little you have as it's not a must to own one Bitcoin.

Anybody selling when there's a dump in the market is a loser and we have many losers in the market, don't follow them instead if you have some free money you can use them to buy some more bitcoin and store them in your personal wallet and continue holding for bull market.
3469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: August 19, 2023, 09:58:33 PM
I spoke to my nephew and he told me that he has never stolen from his mother to gamble. And he gambles with only his savings from his weekly stipend he receives from the family. And he won't gamble if he has no savings to do that. From my observation, he is a responsible gambler that is just enjoying the game and making a little money occasionally. The gambling age in my country is 18+, but his mother is insisting that he must stop. What will be your advice for this young boy?

My advice would be you shouldn't force him to stop gambling or you'll regret how it'll turn out, he is eligible to gamble since he is 18years and that's the years many countries consider their citizens to be adult so your nephew is an adult and he should be allowed to gamble.

Since he's still a student, you guys should monitor him and try to stop him if he's over gambling or getting addicted. He shouldn't take gambling as a full time job as that doesn't always end well. You can monitor where he's getting the money from so he doesn't start stealing.

His gambling career is still early so he'll be enjoying it, you have to advice him so he doesn't get carried away by the profits and he should saved so he doesn't always depends on gambling profits to have money. Your nephew is becoming a man so he need his own income.
3470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dreaming That I'm Playing In A Casino, Do You Have One, on: August 19, 2023, 09:41:16 PM
I thought it was alarming but doing research online I found out that there's nothing to worry about it's just a relapse dream, it happens when you are trying to shut one habit in this case gambling too much.

How about you have you experienced dreaming that you are playing in a casino, is this alarming to you?

Dreams can mean many things and one of them is your subconscious mind trying to make you to remember how exciting it was when you were till gambling and usually in those dreams you'll be winning alway, don't always trust dreams, if you want to stop gambling quit.

Dreaming can also just be your mind playing back all the memories you had throughout the day and if you went gambling then you can dream about gambling which is why I don't take dreams very seriously or dreaming can also be what you thought about last before sleeping.

Some superstition believing dreaming about gambling means goodluck while others believe it means bad luck so it depends on how you want to interpret the dreams but dreaming about gambling when you want to quit shouldn't tempt you back to gambling, be disciplined.
3471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: August 19, 2023, 08:59:16 PM
I don't know if I have given my points of view in this thread, but what I know in some of the gambling platforms that is desperate in gambling always not allow their customers to make a withdrawal when kyc verification is not done or not completed, because some times gambling platforms when you are not be verified or when you have ascertain first and second gambling platform verification you can be allowed to make withdrawal and sometimes some gambling platforms doesn't welcome such and you most completed your verification before you will grant permission to make a withdrawal, it depends on rule and regulations of the gambling platform

I don't think there's any casino that allows you to withdraw without completing your KYC verification anymore. Regulators has made it very compulsory so before you use any casino you don't want to complete KYC, read their terms and conditions first before using.

Casino aren't wrong for requesting for KYC because they need to know who they're serving as they're not a decentralized company but a centralized one that the regulators can hold responsible if investigation expose their customers using their casino for illegal activities.

I don't have a problem with KYC on casino when the casinos are serving us rightly and they're not exposing our secret information to others. I don't have a problem completing my KYC with them, before I start using some casino I would have already done my KYC to avoid issues.
3472  Economy / Speculation / Re: Volatility and its effect on: August 18, 2023, 10:09:48 PM
Today is another bad record because the price has dropped by more than 7%, the price is getting farther away from the bull run and it doesn't seem like it will happen this year, bitcoin's volatility is still high, so we must always be vigilant, I use coinbase which gives a warning if there is a price fluctuation high of more than 5% in a day, but we shouldn't panic in facing dump situations like today.

Bull run was never going to happen this year, this year was meant for recovery and we're still going to have that at the later part of the year, we still have like 4 months before the year ends and that's a very long time for the narrative of the market to change from bearish to bullish.

Don't see red days in the market as a bad day, that's not a mindset of a smart investor. You have to see all red days as an opportunity to accumulate Bitcoin because if you join the crowd by panicking and selling your Bitcoin, there's another smart inventor buying them off you.

Instead of selling, we should be buying and hold until Bitcoin has given us profit to sell. Bear market are for accumulating and we should be expecting days like today in the market that's why we should have fiats available so we can enter the market and buy at a discount of -7%.
3473  Other / Archival / Re: How to manage bitcoin correctly? on: August 18, 2023, 09:58:21 PM
The reality is that there are many different factors in the cryptocurrency market and investment decisions are never straightforward. Patience and avoiding short-term setbacks are important to achieving your long-term investment goals.

This advise is how I'll say is how to manage Bitcoin correctly, nobody can time the market correctly and if you did that it was a mistake and can't be repeated therefore you shouldn't blame yourself for missing to sell at the peak price instead you should be holding.

If you miss last bull market peak and the price falls, but you continue holding, you'll make profit in the next bull market and the profits will be higher than the pass bull market because the price of Bitcoin increase in every bull market and you have been holding same Bitcoin.

To manage bitcoin correctly, you have to continue holding through all the ups and down of the market. This means as an investor, you have to develop patience and not be like every other investors that are thinking of making quick profits by selling Bitcoin and taking profits.
3474  Economy / Gambling / Re: Opinion on crypto casino project on: August 18, 2023, 09:47:16 PM
I think this is an opportunity to build something :

A real decentralised crypto casino platform - 100% anonymous.
Same principle as a decentralised exchange like Uniswap, all you need to get started is a non-custodial wallet with funds. No KYC.
Being fully decentralised and using exclusively crypto means we're operating within a grey area in the eyes of the law and therefore "no need" for a license.
I believe that in order to gain trust, using only provably fair games would be a great idea in order to show that it isn’t rigged.

It's just an idea so far but I think getting feedback from real players is the first step to validate my assumption !

While building this decentralized casino, you'll encounter some challenge like chosing the best blockchain the casino will be built on and this will limit the participants that'll want to use your exchange because there's a division in the community of which blockchain is the best.

You can also decide to make the casino a multi chain casino that you can connect using all the decentralized smart contracts, I don't know if this is possible yet but this will give you more advantage than using only one blockchain as you won't get the users of the other smart contracts.

Trust is also going to be an issue since nobody knows the founder of the casino and it isn't liences so if you can escrow a backup funds that'll be used to pay your customers if anything was to happen to the casino funds as a result of hack then people can trust your casino.
3475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you will do? on: August 18, 2023, 09:35:47 PM
Everyone must have experienced loss, whether it's a big or small loss. And he experienced loss more often than he won. Has anyone ever experienced boredom playing gambling because they have been losing more often than winning? If anyone has experienced this, what did you do?

Whenever I experience losses the first thing that I always do is to take a break and rest because if you continue gambling you mightn't know when what you will be  doing is revenge gambling and that's the fastest way to start losing your money because the cycle never ends.

Everyone will experience losses when gambling but it's not about experiencing the losses but what matters is how you handle it. If you understand gambling you'll know losing is part of the game and when you lose, you have to move on because there's nothing you can do.

I have experience boredom when I'm gambling and it has come in different situations. I have been bored from losing and also been bored from winning. I have stopped playing a game because it was looking so easy and I knew if I continue I can get into a trap leading to losses.
3476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peer pressure as a substantial gambling catalyst. on: August 18, 2023, 09:27:19 PM
You made a good point and I would like to support this one. Sometimes pressure in gambling is something that we just build within ourselves and that is something that we should try to work on. Seeing our peers succeed or generate money in gambling does not really mean that we should do the same. Another thing is what we call conformity, we have this thinking that if our friend is doing this or that, we felt the need to follow them in attempt to fit in that particular group. Lastly, the catalyst that I really consider in gambling is the fear of missing out and sometimes we are consumed by it that's why we engaged into something that we don't really know that much about.

Peer pressure is something we can't really avoid because we will come in contact with it in every part of our lifes. If we're not getting pressure from our classmates or course mate that are doing better, we will get peer pressure by our colleagues in our work place doing better than us.

We can't avoid peer pressure but we can work on how we handle it when it comes. We have to develop a habit of not getting worried about what others are doing to be successful or trying to copy them because their road to success mightn't be our and we'll be wasting our time.

Gambling isn't for everyone and you'll know when you start doing it if it's for you or not, if you're not enjoying what you're doing then you need to quit and look for something you'll enjoy doing it then it becomes a hobby that you won't get disappointed when you lose.
3477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong way to accumulate. on: August 17, 2023, 11:06:19 PM
Short-term thinking is one of the wrong ways of accumulation to get rich quickly within the market has many new investors only thinking short term. And while the possibility of earning massive on a crypto investment, there is also the possibility of losing all funds to a bad investment move. Having a long-term investment plan/ mindset would help you choose your crypto investment more carefully and concentrate on picking high-quality projects with a long track record. Trying to get rich in just 90 days is a fast way of going broke but thinking about crypto investing as a multiyear process will help you build a more thoughtful crypto portfolio.

When you think about investing in cryptocurency with a multiyear timeframe, it'll help you with your choices of investment as you're not look for quick profits, but coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum and other quality project will be included in your portfolio and you'll be patience holding.

You'll also not be rushing to invest as you'll take your time to study the market very well before investing and you won't be investing by buying all the coins  immediately but instead you'll be accumulating slowly until you have reached your goals of investment into Bitcoin.

Short term thinking can lead you to losses more than it can lead you to profits when investing because when thinking of quick profits you'll be attracted to coins that are for short term and they'll not last in the market and all investors mightn't have the opportunity to make profits.
3478  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can you tell me the best indicator for long term investment? on: August 17, 2023, 10:34:03 PM
As the title says, I hope some of you can share your experience about the best indicators for your long term investment.
So far I've only invested on a cyclical basis, but I'd love to get your experience into consideration for my future investment plans.

Some of the indicators that I use is by looking at how well Bitcoin has done in the past and project same success to the future of Bitcoin then invest based on the fact that bitcoin is only getting started and that means it'll continue getting more popular and increasing in value.

Bitcoin is always going to be bullish long term, the bear markets are for the short term and won't last forever but because we're having more halving of bitcoin block reward in the future, bitcoin scarcity will keep on increasing and this will benefit the price of Bitcoin.

Another indicator is the percentage of the population of the world  involved in Bitcoin is very small and this numbers will increase in the future which means more investors actively trading and investing in Bitcoin in the future which will reflect on the price of Bitcoin.
3479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What resources do you have for members who may be dealing with addiction? on: August 17, 2023, 07:23:25 PM
My question to everyone here is that if a member is hooked to this addiction, is their any resources to help that member. If not then what exactly is this community offering? I believe
if such a resources is available it should be on the pinned message. The next thing would be to always update it regularly, as things change quickly in gambling.

The community here are very helpful that if anyone is struggling with addictions and they're not scared to come out in the open to look for solution to their problems, they'll get them when the open thread about their addiction problem, I have seen threads like that before.

We also have the Internet full of many helpful articles and videos that can help whoever is suffering from addictions. If those resources doesn't help them they should seek the help of a profession and their problem will be solved since they're willing to tackle it.

Addictions are very dangerous and if it isn't treated on time, it can make you lose money and sometimes do regrettable things that can cost you your reputation. Anyone suffering from addiction shoudn't hide as hiding will not do the person any good but make it worst.
3480  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: August 17, 2023, 07:09:33 PM
I will agree with you because all are gambling and you may be lucky to get wining for a particular gambling platform you are not familiar with, if i should have a chance I will like to study all the gambling site and make sure that I try my luck in each of them by having a particular amount of money I will put in any other so that I will experience their kind of gambling, but what i notice when doing such, is that it will consume you more money and you may likely to lose or gain.

Gambling on multiple casino will not increase your chances of winning on those casino since there's no strategy that can help you win when you play slots games or dic games. Any game that's based on luck doesn't have a strategy that'll help you to win when you play.

You might lose all your bets on those casino therefore it's better to stick to one casino that you have been using and verified them to be reputed casino that'll not freeze your account when you win big or accused you of offends that you didn't commit just to lock your account.

The one time I can see this working in your favor is when you bet on sport games and you use two different sportsbook to place opposite bets and you win which ever way the games goes but you'll still be at lost because you can't win both bets when they're played differently.
