3461  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why did you choose to support the sports team you are supporting? on: July 29, 2022, 03:52:22 PM
Players are not the only reason that fans support their clubs. Coaches too have attracted alot of fans to their clubs. Like at a time when Josep Guardiola was at Barcelona, it boosted the followership alongside the world class stars there, name them.....

Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsène Wenger, José Mourinho Diego Simeone and more have brought glamour to the teams and attracted fan base too. At a time I was so much attached with Barcelona because of the best players in the world that made the team as we know and the team was dreaded at the time because they did big things, I still remember Carles Puyol and
 Who remember these Barcelona Legends

3462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: July 29, 2022, 02:29:23 PM
But if the streamer is also playing with the same system then it won't be a problem, but if the streamer is playing with a different system that has been designed to win then it will be dangerous. I realize that slot games are improving and many ordinary people keep failing, but they keep trying because they are influenced by video streamers who continue to win big numbers. Actually it wouldn't be a problem if they weren't distinguished, but if there was cheating in them then they were very dangerous to use.

Maybe manipulation is possible in streaming and this could make more meaning because it is about advertising and business. The casino wants more player and can only get that large following to play if they have showcase someone as streamer playing with them and winning big. Again getting celebrity who is real or not can influence the people to join the casino. During the time drake had a big win with stake.com I guess the company was in the public and that increased their followers too.
3463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet (UPDATE) + fixed match on: July 29, 2022, 11:39:27 AM
I know people who take out loans for many weird things included gambling. Even though I believe loans can be useful for some situations it's definitely not appropriate to take out and use a loan for betting/gambling purposes.
First its killing whole your economic situation, if you are not able to win you need to do something different to payback loan. I think this completely kills fun nature of gambling and it can make you too addicted.

Those who freely do that are those who are salary earners. That's those working under the government, they believe that when they lose then they can repay the money from the salary that they earn but they don't know that lost money is not recoverable even if you replace it with salary earnings, you have succeeded to take yourself backward for the month. It is just not wise to take such risk but many people do it.

3465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: July 28, 2022, 07:45:56 PM

sometime when people are in need of money and they are desperate to get it they jump into the gambling - they come either successful or unsuccessful
but they do give it a try in the time of depression - may be due to their own trouble, to make the love happy - or any medical urgency. sometime we all are become so helpless and makes mistake.

There is nothing wrong with the idea of playing gambling in times of depression as long as you'll be much smarter and only pick battles where you have the strength, knowledge and your chances in winning is somehow decent.

I'm thinking depression is a very deep phycological and emotional challenge that one will have the time and feeling to gamble. I hardly think someone in depression can instantly pick himself up and be totally in the right frame of mind to make choices and this time to gamble his way. It is a difficult and challenging time and I think it will be difficult to do all the gambling choices.
3466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: July 28, 2022, 05:06:20 PM

On the other hand this streamers though could be paid so obviously, the results might be rigged so that those watching are going to be attracted. So it's a win-win for this streamers and the casinos or games that they are promoting.

Can there performance really be manipulated by the casino company for a big win so that more viewers are won and signing up with the streamers can increase the numbers of people playing in the casino? Well this is a wide thought but if this is possible to happen it means casino games itself can be manipulated against the gambler.
3467  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bottom in for BTC? on: July 28, 2022, 02:03:46 PM
The price have been between $22k and $23k for more than a month and for now no body can say it clearly that the price of bitcoin has reached buttom for now it is about prediction and being careful because this could also be a bull trap that if you sell you may regret when the price start to bull, it is only an uncertain market this time.
3468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale Betting Strategy on BlackJack, how effective it is? on: July 28, 2022, 09:48:15 AM

Correct, casino took advantage to counter martingale system, the chance that you will be having a lot of losing strict is very possible while playing inside the house, and with that limitations you won't be able to double your bet and you'll be force to bet only the amount that the house allows you, it will be an additional aggressiveness since you are into a losing side.

House understands that inside gambler's mind, they will keep trying to recover in a quicker way, in if shit happens to you instead
of recovering, you'll again suffer from another losing streak that will suck the entire amount inside your wallet.

This is not even that the casino has influence as such over the amount of game or martingale strategy you use but if you run out of resources then of course you won't be able to play multiple games anymore but to play within the limit you have. People use martingale because to want to quick profit or accumulated profit.
3469  Other / Off-topic / Re: VAR: Has it improved football or has made it worse ?* on: July 28, 2022, 09:20:48 AM
This forum thread has nothing to do with sports betting and gambling in general. Maybe you should move into another forum.
VAR made football worse in my country for sure. At the end of the day, the final decisions in VAR are made by humans and humans can make lots of mistakes. The football referees in my country are simply awful. I don't know whether they are corrupt or totally incompetent.
Maybe it's both. VAR makes the situation even worse, when you have incompetent referees.
Anyway, VAR is the future of modern football and it won't be going away. I'm sure that the VAR system will be improved by removing the human factor and adding artificial intelligence.

I'm of this opinion also that it has rather added more pain to the sorrow of tricks by players simply because of the same human factor that is part of it. The emotional factor found in referees in the field of play when VAR had not been introduced is there there, afterall those at the VAR room are humans, referees with same emotions and likely to be biased in their actions to favour one team from the other. The Nigerian Morocco female football match the I made as same reference if we go back to watch the match. The question then is how will the human factor be taken out of the game entirely? Perhaps the VAR should be made to spot out those fouls by itself and award the appropriate offence to it for the officials to carry out the order. Maybe by calling the attention of the referees by beeping of alarm or something else that can give notice.

Their CFO wanted to manage risk and they indeed did made a financial decision in which they think selling bitcoin was the right move to do. In the end, I couldn't care less, and so should you unless you hold their stock.
instead of worrying if Tesla's recent development was in line to raise their trading price.

I think Op asked a good question and that looks educative in itself with the responses too at least the logic and understanding of the reason for the sale is getting clearer for most people and if nothing on that, that they have office in Shanghai, although with offices in other countries. The curiosity however is if they sell such amount in btc to either finance the challenges of covid-19 on Tesla branch office in Shanghai and the covid-19 outbreak persist, what are they going to do ? Shut it down or what ? Selling more btc?

Discussion: Binance adds 12 Nigerian banks to its Peer-to-Peer platform
Link: https://nairametrics.com/2022/07/26/binance-adds-12-nigerian-banks-to-its-peer-to-peer-platform
Quote
Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency by volume of transactions, just announced that it added 12 Nigerian banks to its Peer-to-Peer (P2P) platform in a bid to reduce the possibility of disruptions during the process of P2P transactions.

Binance added 21 banks across the African continent; however, 12 or 57% of those banks are Nigerian banks which include: Access Bank, Ecobank, Fidelity Bank, First Bank of Nigeria, FCMB, GTBank, Keystone Bank, Stanbic Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Sterling Bank, Zenith Bank, Union Bank of Nigeria.

I understand say many people here dey use binance exchange for their trading and cashing out to Naira through P2P, una dun see this update and if yes how the P2P trading dey for that platform and how this new update go help. Anybody dun get any issue using the platform and any cons for binance P2P exchange side wey you dun experience to advise or discourage anybody form using the exchange?.
Recently I come dey use binance and ever since then I never experience any kind wahala for the platform, and this one were binance announced this bank things so as we all know the kind behavior were banks get for cryptocurrency and how Central bank been dey use some of those banks to track crypto owners 4 we country, I for like see other banks were get more crypto friendly and flexible service charges e.g Kuda micro finance bank for the list. Make I no lie I no fit use any of those banks for p2p transaction on binance because of there charges. But in totality I see say an good development atlist commercial banks for Nigeria done dey open eye sake of say  large portion of their revenue dey come from constant transactions which traders on binance and other p2p exchange come highest, so the banks just want encourage usage of they bank for trading. But this thing make more sense if banks go lower or cancelled transaction fees like waiten kids bank dey do so.

The P2P trading wey I hear say binance open go help Nigerian banks the more in their cash flow transactions and even for naija here banks make more money from transactions wey people dey do as them dey comot fees sharp sharp. Now wey be say P2P trading don com for binance, na more cash for the banks but I hope our government no go still begin choke eyes enter dere say na crypto men dey trade and convert to Naira. The government no sabi how much money dey enter the economy through cryptocurrency.
3472  Other / Off-topic / Re: VAR: Has it improved football or has made it worse ?* on: July 27, 2022, 12:38:20 PM
I would say to a large extent that VAR has helped the game to ensure that tricks by players on the game is curtailed, of course we have had goals scored with the support of the hand in the past and if it were to be this time around, those goals on contest would have been disallowed. For example the popularMaradona's "Hand of God" goal by Maradona is one and some other players have escaped this like Luis Suarez, Thierry Henry, Lionel Messi to mention few. But looking deeply too on the good that VAR has come to do to the game, I have also seen some decisions taken from VAR that looks biase in my eyes and it takes away the glamour of the fact that it is a game and a physical game for that matter. To say the least on this, I believe that the Nigerian female team was pushed out of the tournament through VAR during the game between Nigeria and Morocco. In that game, I don't expect the two red cards served to Nigerian team to be fair and just and that made the team to play behind two men down. At least the first red card was not deserving yet second card came, the ladies played it out very judiciously down to extra time after the full 90 minutes before they eventually lost by a goal at the penalty kicks. So In as much as the VAR was introduced to reduce tricks it also can be used to stop a team from winning.
3473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale Betting Strategy on BlackJack, how effective it is? on: July 27, 2022, 10:24:41 AM

Martingale is as good as gambling itself. Sure, you can try it. But it is either you recover your loss and even earn a little profit or you will go home quickly with nothing.

Is either you win more or lose more with the martingale style of betting because it involves you betting in consecutively in accumulation. You only end up being carried away with the potential profit that you are aiming for while if you miss it like you said, you come running home fast. There is nothing bad about martingale though for a big player who has more money to through in because he is making more chances for himself to win or recover the losses.
Martingale has many flaws but one of the most obvious is the max bet allowed by the casinos, casinos know of the martingale strategy and an easy way to counter it is by setting a maximum amount of money you can risk on each bet.

This is not the fault of the casino that they have maximize for the player the potential to bet and win. It is left for the gambler to choose between guning for the profits at a roll or play one after the other to estimate and balance the risk appetite and profit longing for. This is why we need to bet as we can bear the risk.

and at that point your martingale strategy gets negated since you will not be able to recover all the money you have wagered in a single bet.

It is always a business for the casino and no credit play is allowed so automatically when you are short of fund then you have limit to what you can gamble and if eventually you are not able to come back from running low then you come back next time  Grin

3476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Tips To Aide Successful Sports Betting. on: July 26, 2022, 02:27:13 PM
Gamblers still loses money in gambling because there is no patience to learn the necessary things that is needed to sustain the pressure and strategy on how to place bets. There are many things we need to get aquatinted to in order to do well in the gambling world since there are many competitors that are in it based on different reasons.

Really what are there to learn about gambling losses and winning? Apart from understanding of the games in the casino I believe the rest is on luck for you to win and your winning is not regular because it is not an investment where you have projected profit to come steadily at an expected level.

The pro gamblers know how to get away from betting when they make loses but the newbies or inexperienced ones easily make good profits and loses it back to bettimg because of lack of knowing when to quit or be contented with what they wants.

The pro gamblers are also part of the addicts so they get trapped on it also. Gambling losses doesn't respect any player , it just that some days are more lucky days than the other which is what you get with experience.

The dying moment of bitcoin is when it value will worth zero dollar but for now it is still worth a whopping amount of dollar for just one. Bitcoin selling at $22.720 now is not a joke that bitcoin is here with the world while musk dump is yet to show in the value. The fud will still be on but the investors won't be perturbed.
