I think this drop is due to the recent huge selling done with bitcoins. Holidays have just past, and that was the time when people might have thought to encash or spend their bitcoin holdings. And when there is a greater number of sellings of bitcoin i.e. more availability of bitcoin in the market, its value decreases. Also the prices went really high which made speculative sellers sell off their holdings.
Also, because the sellings were made by individuals and not some giant company, the fall in price is not very huge but marginal. Its kind of stable at a certain point.
With start of new year, hopefully new users will join bitcoins, may be investers may come in, and old holders shall try to regain their hold which will again create a virtual scarcity of bitcoins in the market and in result the prices will spike up. Sooner or later, the prices are again going to grow and probably stabalise for a good while.

Don't act like something horrible has happened to you. I understand that the fees are way too high, but that's not Coinbase's fault. Coinbase uses a fee that matches the current network situation. I use Coinbase myself, and some times it charges me 0.0015 BTC for external transactions, and even 0.002 BTC, while they in calm network situations just charged me 0.0004 BTC in withdrawal fees. People just have to deal with it because it's pointless to complain about it. The only thing you can complain about, is why Coinbase and other major services till this day aren't working with SegWit yet....

Bitcoin right now is very much affected by the scalability problem which became the basis for the ridiculously high transaction fees which many are really complaining about since this is what Bitcoin should be; we did not signed up for this, so to speak. Appropriate and acceptable solution has to be found and implemented before the whole world will go sour on Bitcoin and jump to other more viable cryptocurrency. Within the cryptocurrency market, the competition is quite fierce on who has the right to kick out Bitcoin from its throne that is why Bitcoin devs should work hard and make it fast without sacrificing security but not also using it as an excuse to delay things from happening. I am expecting the Lightning Network once fully implemented can be the answer to the problems of Bitcoin right now. Of course, it may not be perfect but that is much better than the status quo. We should hope that once it can be available, exchanges will implement the said upgrade without hesitation and another round of politicking.

You should look for another hobby. The only tip that I can give you is to stop gambling. Obviously, gambling is not for you. The sole reason that you are gambling is because you don't have anything better to do so you might as well just quit gambling while you still can and just look for a substitute to it. It doesn't really seem that you think you are in need of quitting it since clearly you are just asking how to not lose.

You can't lose by not betting is all. There's 0% gain but at the same time there's also 0% loss. The risk is 0% and the chance of the method actually working out is 100%. And since you said that gambling might not be for you, then might as well quit it while that is still on your mind.

I must changing from laptop and actually i use a Windows HP laptop. Now we know all, security is a big issue in crypto. And off course the change to have a virus or malware is much lower with a mac. So i thinking to taking a MacBook in place a Windows laptop. But there are to points i esitate:

- Is it eassy to switch between a Windows pc a going to a MacBook?
- Are all the applications and wallet released at the same time then for Windows? When i looked for the RPX presale, the wallet to use with Neocoins, get released much soner then for mac. I even think it was a issue to get a macwallet that can be used for the RPX presale.

So is it worth to make to step the change and to go to a macbook? Please dont aswer with your personal feeling (because everybody has a preference..), but with your technical advice, and specialy when you do cryptoinvestment and use wallets and whant to use applications.

Is there any negative effects to bitcoin if it becomes more popular than it is now?

Whereas a panic will only make Bitcoin's image worse, we have a benchmark that when Bitcoin users make a sell then it is likely that the price of Bitcoin will decrease. This is what we should avoid because with the influence to sell Bitcoin then it will only make the decline in Bitcoin prices. We should believe and see the positive information because with it then Bitcoin will experience a good development and can avoid significant price reductions.

Bitcoin experienced a lot of surge in it's price in 2017 but we are noticing a drop in the end of 2017.But this does not means that I will stop investing in Bitcoin. I will take this drop as an opportunity to invest more in it because I am conversant by the potential of Bitcoin. I know that if their is some drop in the price than the price will recover soon and will rise even more.This is my personal choice but many people often prefer to invest in both Bitcoin and altcoins to earn more profits. This is so because tremendous growth has also been seen in altcoin's such as etherum and litecoin. So it is just the matter of choice.
