BREAKING NEWS: Trump in quarantine as top aide Hope Hicks tests positive for coronavirus: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-54381848

*That's* what I call the "Wag the Dog" moment of this particular election.  Within a week I'd expect there to be a knock out moment one way or the other that'll decide it for me as to who will win.
3482  Economy / Reputation / Re: Scammer supporter Timelord2067 vs Scammer facilitator malboroza on: October 02, 2020, 12:07:52 AM
Jokes too. Speaking from my own experience, he become very hostile towards me because I responded to him in sarcastic way, since then he used every single opportunity he could to shit on me. Before that, we were pretty good "forum buddies", at least I thought so. I don't know, maybe some brain issues lately Undecided

Who is kidding whom here?

Perhaps marlboroza should practice what they preach.
3483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2020 US Presidential Election | Trump vs Biden on: October 01, 2020, 11:08:15 PM
I think Kanye West must need a special program to help him get through the presidential election because the opponent of Kanye West is an important and smart person to strategize, Kanye West is a rap singer and will find it difficult to do that

I would have thought with less than 40 days until the day of the election that the nominations had closed and ballot papers printed etc.  I can't help but wonder if leaving it this late is so KW can then go on to say "well, at least I tried... kind of..."
3484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gambling in the wake of covid-19 on: October 01, 2020, 11:03:04 PM
Well thats also true that is why some are gambling to make money and perhaps some are just doing both, they travel to places to gamble there like going  to Las Vegas?
If there isn't a Pandemic right now, many of those people who had earned an amount by trading crypto is likely going to also gamble for some time to experience not just online. Not me though I still don't have the kind of addiction.

How many times have some of those Casinos closed their doors, opened them and then had to re-close them again?  People who want to gamble will no doubt be prepared to travel to where the Casinos are open (in-spite the risk to themselves, or others)
3485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2020 US Presidential Election | Trump vs Biden on: October 01, 2020, 10:42:55 PM
Great I'll be keeping track on your analysis I hope I could use your analysis to see which candidate I'll bet with. By the way this supposed to be in Gambling discussion isn't?

I heard overnight Kanye West has nominated himself for this years' Presidential Race.  Given how many Postal Votes have already been cast, how does it work with a new candidate?  Write their name in?

Anyone offering odds on the new candidate?
3486  Economy / Reputation / Re: The BCT PGP/GPG Public Key Database: Stake Your PGP Key Here on: October 01, 2020, 08:54:57 AM
Good grief, this thread has been inactive for this long?

Well, I updated my PGP key on short notice so I want to ensure that everyone knows that nothing fishy is going on. The new public key is also available on my site for anyone who wants to grab it.

Also, the I mistakenly wrote September as Septermber in the signed messages. (LOL!) Not worth the time to fix the spelling error.

I've just had a look at the (locked) thread, the Google Spread Sheet link returns this:

the last post in the thread reads:

So people will just have to wait until they come across a UID with the signature and ask them directly.

I actually missed this drama at the time - can anyone give an Ultra Short break down of what occurred please?

*edit*

Livecoin Manager sent Livecoin one merit last year: https://bpip.org/smerit.aspx?from=LiveCoin%20Manager&to=LiveCoin which is a tut-tut offense IIRC
3488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite gamemodes on: October 01, 2020, 01:49:24 AM
I much prefer to play Texas Hold Em online with other players.  You can spot the ones who are playing multiple games simultaneously because they lag in calling or raising during the turn or, the river.
3489  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling with convenience using Bitcoin during a pandemic on: October 01, 2020, 01:45:19 AM
If you are the owner or an employee of this casino why not create an ANN thread instead of this weak attempt to promote it?

If there's already an [ANN] thread, then this user can't start a second - IIRC there can only be one thread per site, so this thread scrapes under the line by not actually being an [ANN] thread.
3490  Other / Meta / Re: Application to be a Merit source for Bangladesh Thread on: October 01, 2020, 01:40:18 AM
Hope you are successful in the local boards - you might want to look in on this post of mine (and the proceeding page) - there's a handful of UID's that evidence would suggest are alts who have on their profile pages they are Bangladeshi and so might hit you up for more merits.
3491  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BETA] BPIP Extension - user info add-on / extension for Firefox, Chrome, et al on: October 01, 2020, 01:16:47 AM
Thank you for the update information, I have a new suggestion for the Firefox/Chrome add-on:

Above or below the trust feedback scores (which are shown as the users' DT settings) a second set of scores which are the scores if no modifications had been made.

Thanks for reading.

I wouldn't have mentioned setting some sort of account age requirement if I didn't see it.  I don't want to make assumptions, but it is disturbing, however not at all surprising that people are trying to take advantage of my generous offer.  That is one thing this forum's membership excels at.

I believe your good nature in this undertaking has been abused right from the start:

As with the others mentioned, these two also use the:

Code:

in their signatures.

Although all of these accounts that used the Version: Bitcoin-qt (1.0) in their signatures, nearly all that have been active this morning my time (GMT +10) haven't posted, just logged in.

@SiNeReiNZzz - please use the Submission Form that is contained in the OP.  If we all work towards having standardised colouring, fonts and the like then new users (and old alike) will be able to see at a glance the same information instead of having to decipher each-other's colour coding.

Thanks.
3494  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: September 30, 2020, 09:32:34 AM

Also, I am not sure what you see on BPIP https://bpip.org/Profile?id=223200 but It seems everything clear there, you have one flag against you which is active

Technically, if @andulolika were to lock the thread, the flag becomes invalid (not the least of which because the thread wasn't started by the one who first flew the flag)
3495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2020 US Presidential Election | Trump vs Biden on: September 30, 2020, 07:17:26 AM
Seriously if a casino offers that kind of odds today on a Trump win then I guarantee you something is wrong with their odds provider, the odds of him winning should not be that high and today it would make more sense if it was around @1.7 or something.

But to my understanding these were bets on the 2016 presidential election which was a different playing field, Trump was sort of a dark horse in the election and nobody really expected him to win at all.

If you looked at the *why* Trump was elected last time it was a vote against H.Clinton in so far as people just did not want another career politician.  It had nothing to do with gender.  Just the "air" of "I am a politician where-as my opponent isn't" struck a raw nerve.  The odds reflected that attitude instead of looking at the two candidates side-by-side, hence they lost out big time.

I'm waiting for the "wag the dog" moment of this campaign - so far I haven't seen one.
3496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2020 US Presidential Election | Trump vs Biden on: September 30, 2020, 04:08:24 AM
...

One now defunct online site was offering 7:1 for Trump to win.  Some people cleaned up (sadly I wasn't one of them only due to a lack of BTC at the time to place a wager) - which is probably why that site ended up going downhill fairly quickly afterwards.
3497  Other / Archival / Re: [Merit] Hey Newbies! Can You Sign A Message? on: September 30, 2020, 04:03:34 AM
Sorry, you got it wrong. These are not all one person accounts.  My account name: suparigach.  I am new to this thread.  However, I know the rules of Bitcointalk fairly well.  And I know what merit is.  I live in Bangladesh and I saw from Bangla thread that merit is given to newcomers here.  So I did the post.

If you "know the rules fairly well" you'd know quoting a whole post is kinda against the spirit if not the rules of the forum.  Time will tell if I'm right or not.
3498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2020 US Presidential Election | Trump vs Biden on: September 30, 2020, 03:13:28 AM
50% of the 1.3 Million postal votes already returned are from registered Democrats wile just 18% are from Republicans.

More than 63 Million postal vote forms have already been requested (which is more than the number that voted for Trump IIRC).

Just on those numbers I would say Biden is likely to win the election.
3499  Other / Archival / Re: [Merit] Hey Newbies! Can You Sign A Message? on: September 30, 2020, 02:51:25 AM
I also would hate to have to set an age bar to keep people from signing up multiple accounts just to claim some merit from this thread.

Just on this page the UID's who used the following:

Code:
Version: Bitcoin-qt (1.0)

Registration Date:1/27/2020 2:08:48 PM (Active 1 hours ago)  -     Light onuoha

I might be the only one who can see it - hopefully you can too.
3500  Other / Meta / Re: red trust being posted to a supposed alt that is supposedly ban avoiding on: September 29, 2020, 04:56:24 AM
I want to ask - what is the repercussions for red flagging a supposed alt for "ban evasion" if the supposed primary account is not actually banned?

What is the proof the two accounts you link to were banned?  BPIP sheds no light on that subject.  Neither has given the other merits, nore has either DT trusted the other.

This link by @anonymousminer is inconclusive in connecting Bla2kja2k to alamjob239 as "proof" (especially as the original post was deleted Nuked and there isn't any archives of the quote)

However,

The closest to linking two of the three accounts is via their alts active via BPIP:  (see below for acemax https://bpip.org/Profile?id=2760726 inclusion)

Registration Date:10/1/2019 3:44:12 AM (Active 233 days ago)  - alamjob239
Registration Date:2/2/2020 10:15:23 PM (Active 237 days ago)  - Bla2kja2k

then again:

2/2/2020 10:00:10 PM    password reset via email  - alamjob239
2/4/2020 8:59:06 PM    Changed to Archived status    Nuke user  - Bla2kja2k

2/12/2020 12:37:20 PM    password reset via email  - alamjob239
2/12/2020 1:03:20 PM    password reset via email  - Bla2kja2k
Registration Date:2/13/2020 9:26:27 PM (Active 221 days ago)   - acemax

2/19/2020 7:10:31 PM    password reset via email  - Bla2kja2k
2/19/2020 7:14:34 PM    password reset via email  - alamjob239
2/20/2020 8:56:55 PM    Changed to Archived status    Autoban user  - acemax

The carpet photos link alamjob239 to Rainbowsky whilst the activity times and dates link alamjob239 to the nuked user Bla2kja2k.

So... maybe these three are alts after-all.  If that's true, then it is ban evasion (if a mod wasn't just out on a Nuke Spree TM that happens from time to time)  Roll Eyes

*edit*

There is also a suggestion that the banned user acemax u=2760726 is also an alt of alamjob239 (with no real proof offered on their trust feedback page) however, their registration date / last active date also fits the above pattern:
