3481  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone is claiming to be me on Skype. DO NOT TRADE WITH THEM. on: April 19, 2021, 05:55:30 PM
Impersonating isn't new on the forum. Scammers impersonate the popular user's username. For me, I don't believe anyone if send PM from any other source like Telegram before confirming via forum PM. But sadly, a few newbies don't know about such as scam attempts and eventually, they lost money. I have a similar case on Telegram where a scammer pretending me, even some of my clients lost funds. A better practice is, please add a note somewhere in your profile regarding this impersonator, so if someone visits your profile then they would notice this. At least a few users would learn from your profile.
3482  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] [EXCHANGE] ATOMARS.COM on: April 19, 2021, 05:47:47 PM
Please edit your accusation thread with follwing format. Since ATOMARS has an active announcement thread here, we may ask questions to them once you make a proper accusation. We can't help you with just verbal accusations. I am not sure if there are any valid accusations against them on the forum, I just found an accusation like you made with no proper evidence. I am not familiar with ATOMARS nor they are popular on this forum. So this is a matter of concern and we need proper explanation & evidence before taking any action. Seems Atomars last active on 11 April 2021, so just make a proper accusation and PM him the link to reply here.
3483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell if you have needs for funds, but BUY BACK. on: April 19, 2021, 05:01:54 PM
Selling when you need and buyback is a kind of trading. I am doing this thing. I am selling my earnings and holding as well when I need money. Doesn't matter what is the price during selling. But I struggle to buy back once I have enough funds. I do not regret even I can't buy back due to no dip, because I sold coins for real-life need. I am in cryptocurrency for getting profits, doesn't matter if it's from treading or from some other sources. I made mistakes in back 2017 by not selling my Bitcoin even I needed to sell it. But later regret once invest in shitcoin and dumped it for a lifetime. So, now I decide I will be sold the coin for my needs, doesn't matter the price and I will try to regain on dip what I sold.
3484  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOLDING VS TAKING PROFITS DURING BULL RUN on: April 19, 2021, 04:48:23 PM
I have been saying always, hold for life, not for a lifetime. Everyone knows that holding is the best from short-time profits. Just imagine who hadn't sold Bitcoin when it was $64K and still holding. If they sold then now could buy more Bitcoin they sold. Even a holder, should have a target to sell Bitcoin or any other hold cryptocurrency. More important to take a real-time decision for a holder. Holding for a lifetime wouldn't be a good decision. Should take a profit from the desired price range and buy back in the dip. If no dip, then we have to happy with the profit that we have already taken. I think that's the best policy for the holder although it's quite complicated to take real-time decision.
3485  Economy / Services / Re: [Open] as.exchange Twitter Campaign $10/week in BTC. on: April 19, 2021, 10:03:16 AM
@Coolcryptovator
I recognize you as a spam fighter here, what do you think to replace the good old way of spamming with posting link report in the thread and Google forms to be used for that?
Is KYC mandatory for withdrawing on as.exchange?
Here are no difference between a Twitter account with 500 followers or 10k? The same rate is for both cases?
Thanks for your question and suggestion. Regarding the report, at least you have to make one proof of authentication post here to prove your account. Otherwise, someone else would use your accounts on the spreadsheet. Since you have to make at least a post, so just edit it for four weeks. I will not count any post if someone creates a new reply for the report (already mentioned it on the OP). I don't think it's a reason for spam at all.

KYC not mandatory for withdrawal. Updated on the main post.

The pay rate is flat. I have to maintain the weekly budget. If someone has 10K follower and don't want to join then it's up to him. We aren't forcing anyone to join the campaign.

3489  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Start with your own shop AutoBuy - Services available Discussion on: April 18, 2021, 05:00:36 PM
If I can recall correctly there is an issue with selly. I mean auto-buy service always wouldn't be a good idea where the funds directly go to the seller. If you take a deep look on the scam accusation board you will find many threads that people are scamming from selly. Although selly itself isn't a scammer it's just full of scammer due to no escrow service. I am not familiar with any service that you mentioned. Do you have any deep research about them? Or just simply posting from the Google search list? If you have experience with these auto-buy sites then please add more details. So we can prevent a few scams.
3490  Economy / Reputation / Re: Had a thought. Probably will not work but it's an idea on: April 18, 2021, 04:46:20 PM
Most scam accusation threads reflect on Google search, but not all the threads. Using keywords on the post wouldn't help on Google search IMO. For example, I just search about Bittrex on Google. But it leads me to a few other threads. When I use Bittrex Bitcointalk then many threads showing on Google. I don't know if hashtag would help on Google search. Otherwise, we have to add the word Bitcointalk to get related threads on the forum. Those who aren't familiar with the forum couldn't search in this way. But at least those who are familiar with the forum can get some research and reports from the forum. Something is better than nothing, at least forum users would save their assets from scammers if use a search button either forum or Google just adding by Bitcointalk.
3491  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The bad side of close source wallets on: April 18, 2021, 11:51:01 AM
For me, there is no specific bad side to a close source Bitcoin wallet. Because close source means blind beliefs. If you are using a closed source wallet that means you are trusting them blindly. They could do whatever they want with your funds because you don't know really what they wrote in the code. So everything related to the close source is bad at all when the question comes to cryptocurrency. For example, sometimes I use the coinbase wallet service for my local transaction. This is a closed source wallet and custodial as well. I don't know if they freeze my funds or not since I can't read the code. So during choose a Bitcoin wallet, you should choose an open-source noncustodial wallet.
3492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Google on: April 18, 2021, 06:30:30 AM
Bitcoin is a currency and Google is a search engine, why should compare each other? Both are totally different technically and theoretically. Only market cap? So here is the current market cap.

We can see Bitcoin reach 1 Trillion within a short time if you compare it with previous achievers. Bitcoin isn't so far to surpass Google on capitalization. Apple took 42 years to achieve a 1 Trillion market cap, but I think Bitcoin will be in the Top position within 42 years since it has crossed 1 Trillion within 12 years.
3493  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.com and 16 word phrases on: April 17, 2021, 05:41:50 PM
Losing your password is never a good thing but you can try contacting their support or write them on their Twitter support or other social media accounts, and maybe they can help with recovering your account
Usually, their support is a kind of worst. Even your contact successfully with the support couldn't help you to recover or reset password anyway. Here an article where they describe it.
Quote
Your password is never shared with Blockchain or stored on our servers. We cannot access or reset your password. The only way to restore your wallet is through your backup phrase. Make sure you write down your backup phrase which is the only way to restore access to your wallet in the event of a lost password. Change your password by clicking Change.
Source: https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/210929703-Advanced-Security
They clearly stated Blockchain doesn't store your password nor they would reset it. So, you have to find an alternative way to recover your wallet as I describe above.

However, scammers would send you a PM to recover your wallet. Just be careful, even Blockchain support will not ask about your wallet credentials. So don't hand over your wallet credentials to any person. Just ask them to discuss here publicly if they really want to help.
3494  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.com and 16 word phrases on: April 17, 2021, 03:39:49 PM
Most probably your 16 word isn't a mnemonic seed phrase to recover your wallet. I believe these 16 words were backup to recover your wallet password. So these words wouldn't help you to recover your wallet directly. If I am not wrong, Blockchain wallet doesn't support password recovery lately. So you have to find some other way. There is little hope if you have access to your email address. Just check if the wallet file exists there, or you may try to recover your wallet file and brute force the password.

Although it's not a very easy process but at least you can try if you have access of your blockchain mail. Please watch this video to know how you should recover or brute force the blockchain password. brute-force your blockchain wallet
3495  Economy / Reputation / Re: Prophecy - "community driven" bounty NOT PAID on: April 17, 2021, 03:30:16 PM
that's because the agreement with the team and my boss did. i don't even know what happen after i sent the spreadsheet.
Can we know who is your boss, but really we don't have any business with your boss. You made the announcement thread and you ran the bounty campaign. So it doesn't necessary to meet with your boss. What a surprise that you don't know what happens after you submit the bounty report to the team. What else can we expect from such as manager? Same a bounty hunters, most of the hunters even don't know what happens after submitting the bounty report. A very few hunters care about bounty stakes. My point is you spent zero effort for bounty hunters to get their stakes. This wouldn't be a behavior of a mature bounty manager. You should keep in touch with the team and pressure them to distribute the bounty stakes. But you admit that you don't know what happened after handover the spreadsheet.
3496  Economy / Reputation / Re: Prophecy - "community driven" bounty NOT PAID on: April 17, 2021, 11:07:19 AM
hello, i just checked this thread, and i see that you gives me a negative trust. let me make it clear, i have never get in touch with the team, as i posted below my post that all the reward is taken care by the team, not by me. the team request me to send the spreadsheet to them which i did so, and after that i have nothing to take care about. if the team said that they wanted me to distribute the token they should given all the token to me, but i receive nothing.
I can't imagine how even you become a bounty manager who responds on accusation thread almost after a month of getting the tag. nutildah tagged you on 2021-03-21 and you reply on this thread today, how irresponsible are you and do not care about the red tag. What does mean nothing to take care of by you? You are the one who is responsible to distribute bounty stakes, either distribute by the team or by you. You have to make sure your hunters should get paid. You are directly connected with the team, you can't just skip by saying I handover spreadsheet to the team and my responsibility ended. Otherwise, why hadn't the open accusation against the Prophecy that they aren't distributing bounty rewards?

@OP, it's easy to blame a bounty manager, but you can't ignore your responsibility as well. You are spreading the word about a project and most probably a few investors would inspire to invest in that project. Just imagine if a project turned into a scam there is your responsibility as well. Same like choose the worst bounty manager would lead your bounty scam. That's your responsibility to select the right campaign manager who is well-reputed in the forum before cry here.
3497  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase reported significant user growth before IPO on: April 16, 2021, 06:30:40 PM
I have been using Coinbase for a long time but used only wallet service. I haven't tried coinbase pro since the coinbase prevents me to trade (exchange) inside coinbase. I am still not sure if coinbase pro allows users from my country nor I had taken a deep look. To be honest, centralized is just centralized doesn't matter whatever exchange you choose. Binance rolling the crypto exchange industry and they have a good reputation at all. Every exchange has a few weaknesses like a support system. But honestly, I like to see a strong competitor of Binance. So there will be a competition of service as well who could give the best. Anyway, I will take a deep look into coinbase pro if it's possible to trade there and allow from my jurisdiction.
3498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to store Ethereum safe? on: April 16, 2021, 06:14:32 PM
It doesn't matter you store your ETH on a single wallet or on multiple wallets. The matter is how you secure your wallet private keys. Just don't store your coins in any exchange or web wallet for a long time period. The best and secure solution is using a hardware wallet if you can afford it. If not then you may choose a wallet like MEW where you are only the controller of your private keys. But any web wallet is quite risky especially phishing attempts. So just be careful before choosing a wallet. But I strongly recommend for hardware wallet where you can secure your ETH and other coins as well.
3499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will XDN be the Next DOGE ?? on: April 16, 2021, 05:32:31 PM
First of all, I want to say everything is possible in crypto. But if you compare Doge with another coin then most probably you wouldn't find any. The current pump of Doge was unexpected. Many whales are playing with Doge. This is the main reason why Doge pumping continuously. I had invested a few shitcoin and seems there is very little chance to recover my initial investment. So be careful if you think other coins will play a role like Doge. If a coin has enough community support like Doge then there would happen something like this. But I doubt XDN will play like Doge.
3500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why doesn't bitcoin go up higher percentages like altcoins? on: April 16, 2021, 08:10:42 AM
So what you are expecting? Double Bitcoin price every week? So where the price of Bitcoin will end? You are comparing Bitcoin with altcoin price, but have you notice even an altcoin dump 4x in a day? So same behavior are you expecting from Bitcoin as well? Altcoins pump and dump within a short time. Even you could lose your portfolio from alt dump. Just imagine, if Bitcoin behaves like an alt then it wouldn't take time to turn your portfolio almost ZERO. An altcoin is to just play in crypto markets, and whales are playing with it. It's quite easy to make a pump into altcoin since the price is lower, but it's quite complicated to manipulate Bitcoin price lately since the price has raised a lot. But if you feel that you should move into an altcoin, then feel free to do, but just be ready to see a dump portfolio.
