3481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 15, 2022, 09:17:24 PM
I think this is an issues that has been around for some time and I’m not sure all the new legal gambling in places like the United States really is making a big difference in the rise or mobile gambling. I think it comes down to parents doing a better job raising their children and teaching them about the dangers of excessive gambling and doing a better job monitoring them.

Strict supervision on developing youths is the key to prevent this. A lot of kids nowadays are involved in a lot of mobile games and some even tend to use their parents' money to gamble, or to buy in-game items and them gamble it online. If it's kept tight by their parents and shut down every opportunity for the kid to gamble, then I think the kid will realize that if their parents are that strict, it must be something that is really, really grave. Then again, supervision is not something that millennial parents are good at. They are busy making money that they are forgetting to watch their kids grow and learn of their habits and activities.
3482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Governance on: September 15, 2022, 08:18:10 PM
I usually consider the concepts that they are introducing on the altcoin markets as buzzwords until they can prove that this is not a marketing plan that only works on paper and not in practice.

1. people who write proposals and people who vote are only the ones who know english. that means non-english speakers are excluded from deciding the future of a project.

This is a red flag already. If the community doesn't have any dedicated translators and representatives before a vote and proposal can be made, it's 100% always going to be in favor of the majority bloc that wants to enforce their own version of the project without considering the inputs of others. They can easily collaborate and 'gatekeep' people from what's really being proposed and what is being made.

2. some proposals are badly written and lack clarity or data. example: there was a proposal on Juno to hold lots of money from the treasury and fund developers with it who migrated from Luna after the Luna collapse. no mention of who these devs are, how many there are, what projects they'll be working on. yet everyone voted yes because it sounded good.

This is what I don't understand from people. They really need to read intently on whatever someone is offering them because it might be a ploy to siphon them off their money. If there isn't any single person opposing dodgy proposals then just get the hell out of there.

I think at this point, people are so hyped in making money that they are forgetting that other people wants to make money too, and may be they are using as instruments for that to come into fruition. Most of the time, people's gullibility are what these flawed devs and managers use to make more money. If the project seems off, just watch from afar and never put a single dime onto it.
3483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The impact of bitcoin on world population, what happens when the population rate on: September 15, 2022, 06:48:42 PM
I don't see why bitcoin would suddenly rise up just because the world population also rose? Also, I don't really know what's happening, are we having a population decline or the opposite? Countries like Japan and some rural parts of Finland have started paying their citizens some money to birth a child due to low birth rates on these places. Add to that the growing sentiment of Gen Z and Millennials on not wanting to have a baby by choice, and you have a solid picture of what's really happening in a smaller scale. Either which side of the board we fall into, one thing's for certain: bitcoin will not rise due to population alone. It has to be more than that.

Just got my observation people today keep picking the death prophet into a  different role still as a core and because it is too much op partnered with the vessel at the same time is the shroud for the life steal, I saw it again with the match of Team Nigma vs Brame those games have death proper and with the earth spirit, game 2 becomes chill for the nigma and too much chase but at the end still, they manage to win the game.

Death Prophet spirit siphon is buff with additional damage. I just heard it on the caster but I don’t read the current patch so I don’t know the exact details. You can see that DP is so OP once he is linked to enemy hero using his siphon. This makes her tanky and very perfect for his exorcism.

Many heroes now are being use as pos1 just because they have a buff skill like undying that recently used by Ana on SEA qualifiers.

DP is used so much because it can be useful while not having much items. Just as long as you have phase boots/BoT and a wind lace you can be a walking machine gun when you hit 6. That's why the carry position is sometimes filled with a DP and the mid lane is filled with a farming, right-clicking hero because it is safer and faster to farm mid and take stacks. The buff is not much though, but it helps DP survive early and mid game with the mana cost reduction on swarm, some damage added in siphon and extra MS on Exorcism.
3485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else feeling let down by crypto Play to Earn gaming sector ? on: September 15, 2022, 10:59:34 AM
I'm not feeling the crypto P2E sector, and I don't even have high hopes for this particular field at all. Too many games already came and go, and only Axie made a dent for a short while. Other P2E games such as Plants vs Undead has already disappeared from existence, with other games slowly following suit. P2E is fun while it lasted, and I think this concept has been proven to work, but not feasible to do so in the long-term unless someone can come up with a game that is actually fun and does not need repetitive grinding and mechanics in order to earn something.
3486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 15, 2022, 09:03:52 AM
The money that the gambler uses to play on a casino is out of the casino's business. Even if something suspicious is happening on the account of the gambler, the source of funds IMO should not be questioned. They are not a law enforcement entity nor do they have any authority to ask gamblers where their money came from. If anything it should be the law enforcement that chases after these money launderers, and they can seek help from casinos with what information they store for the user that the police are looking for.
Basically, that's true and the casino won't mind where their customers are getting funds as they're a business in that form. If there's something to be investigated then they have to let it through a government agency that focuses on it. But these days, due to KYC and other types of verifications, it seems that they're sharing a burden now which is a task of the government. As long as the casino is licensed, those money launderers will just have to go through them with that confidence of not getting caught unless they're asked as they appear and might hold their money if verified they're money launderers.

Casinos can't hold your money because you're a suspected money launderer. They'd be more than happy to cater your business with them because you have the potential to bring in some big bucks on to the platform. They cannot actively tip off the police that someone deposited a very large amount on the casino because that is bad for their business. For most casinos, they'd only throw you in the bus if they are being questioned, or are asked by the police to give out some details. KYC might help catching these money launderers but casinos aren't proactive in helping that happen.

Finally we're moving on to the upper bracket games later as i'm looking forward to Talon vs Polaris since I have the over 2.5 on their series. I watched both teams on their first series and I think Polaris had a cleaner performance while Talon was somewhat sloppy against Lilgun and it felt like Talon took a lot of time to finish their game than they should. Based on that, I think Talon will drop at least a map if they continue making the same mistake.

They really need to address the issue on leaving 23savage alone against offlaners that are of 'low threat' but still has a kill potential.

Imagine being solo killed by a Tidehunter when you are a Faceless Void with 3 points on time walk, while 4 of your team mates are targeting a morph that is at bottom with lots of ready rotations. This team is good when it comes to raw, individual talent, but they really need to fix their comms and rotations as well.

Also I didn't expect that Alliance would lose to Team Bald, I know they won't qualify but still, losing against a low Div 2 team is something that shouldn't happen after having a solid result in the last Tour.

I half expected it. Alliance doesn't seem to be in sync with their past tournaments and also their matches. Team Bald, on the other hand, are just enjoying playing in the qualifiers. No pressure on to them, they just want to take their shot and so far, it's somehow working. I don't know how, but this meme team is making a lot of good plays Cheesy

T1 just won their match against RSG. Very convincing wins and very dominant from Topson and Ana. Both are enabled because of Xepher and Whitemon's active rotation around the map, and also Kuku deciding to get involved on a lot of these engagements. I must say, I'm seeing a TI7 Liquid from T1's performance, on how everyone is supporting Miracle and Matumbaman as much as they can. And when one of those two already had a comfortable lead, they'd just go for the next core that has a hard time in the lane and enable him by picking up kills and just staying around that hero.
3488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose an online casino? on: September 14, 2022, 11:05:29 PM
Perhaps fixing your connection and the machine you're playing on would help. Most casinos with different game providers that I have used do not have this problem of slow loading or any other issues related to the internet. Also, when I play on my mobile, I make sure that all my apps are closed and that the browser is the only thing running. You'd be surprised how much of a difference that makes when it comes to loading times and overall responsiveness.

As for payout structures and bonuses, there is a lot to cover. You just have to find a casino that really works well for your needs. Some bonuses are locked behind a massive wager requirement, while other offer freerolls and free bets daily without any other promotions active.

Would have been nice if you created a more interesting announcement without claiming anything about the value of your coin. This just returns a negative vibe from us users because it's as if there'll be something shady that will happen to its price and that you're focusing more on your profits rather than what the altcoin can actually offer. Move this to Altcoin Announcements and perhaps add some images that will outline your roadmap and your plans for the future of the coin. I'm not sold on this announcement.

As soon as the world starts to know what QAZIKU  is, nothing can stop us. Join us, spread the word and enjoy your the ride 🚀🚀🚀

THE 'UNRUGGABLE' VR PROJECT. The primary purpose of this coin is to assist young enthusiasts globally so they can realise and achieve their dreams helping to further mankind’s journey to the stars.

Also, this looks vague, and not really outlining anything interesting. I can already reach the stars without having someone to assist me. A good hit on a good blunt can already fix that Cheesy
3491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 14, 2022, 07:21:49 PM
Well , it looks like Nigma vs Brame went to map 3 and to be honest , Nigma should win this series but if they draft like they did in map 2 , I'm afraid Brame won't have mercy on them and will take the series. For me , Alliance should take the series today against Gorpc and Team Bald Reborn as believe it or not , Alliance seems to have found a mojo by playing DK in drafts so it will be interesting to see DK draft again.

Yeah that was a poor draft indeed. Not a lot of answer to that Batrider that costed them a lot of pick-offs. This patch, it's not about outdamaging Batrider but removing the sticky napalm stacks as fast or as safe as possible. Bat easily melts Sumail every time they got caught, and when Bat catches Jugg they cannot do shit. Kuroky really needs to step up his drafting game and learn from the youngbloods doing it right now. He's dead weight, and I think he should just go to coaching position if he still loves helping NGX by sharing his talents.
3492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 13, 2022, 03:06:50 PM
I'm not sure if I should be even surprised about Nigma's poor performance. They threw away 11k lead and the game soon after. They are down to the losers bracket and it is considerably harder to get through qualification via the losers bracket. Every match is an elimination game and there are going to be quite a few of them.

As what Fear stated on his stream, it's either Nigma or Liquid that isn't going to qualify on TI this year. Nigma is still a strong team, but they seem to not find their form in this recent patch and their previous tournaments. They really need to replace Kuroky because at this point, he's just a dead weight for the team. Miracle and Gh might even consider joining another team if they can't make it through TI this year.

Yup, the SEA region isn't on the same tier as WEU or China region right now but the potential is there. Indonesia and Philippines with occasionally good players appear from Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand. What we lack is mental fortitude for SEA region Dota2 players.
There's the difference between the two regions but all I can say is that they've got their own play styles which makes them have those tier 1 teams. I'm just waiting for the T! and Execration to see how ana and topson adopted the play style of a SEA team with kuku, xepher and whitemon. Within a few minutes, we'll see how they're going to play against Exe although it's not really that a strong team compared to them. But it's that everyone is excited to see these two former two time TI champs play on SEA.

I watched both games, and I can proudly say that we taught ana and Topson well. They now know how to tip enemies who made bad decisions that ended up on them getting killed Cheesy Execration has a very strong midlaner but a so-so carry. Bob wins both laning stage against Topson, but T1 just knows how to put pressure on sidelanes and once the pressure is made, they'll just send the 2 supports on mid always to get that mid lead erased from their enemies.
3493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 12, 2022, 10:30:08 PM
I want Nouns to win this matchup and see Gunnar on the TI mainstage.

Just straight up winner bet on this one. I had Nouns +1.5 yesterday that ended up winning. I picked that one because the odds was pretty good and turned out that Nouns won 2-0 against Soniq so yeah they should be able to win today unless it was just a pure luck yesterday but with all the intensity on TI qualifiers, I dont think that was luck though
Soniqs won the first game and they are again dominating game 2. They are now leading with 25k gold, 35 minutes into game 2. Nouns are losing team fights after team fights. I do not think they will be able to pull a come back on this game. If soniqs lead the series 2-0, they will have great morale and momentum leading into game 3. Your bet is not looking good at this point.

After game 1, I don't feel the vibe of their carry. That walking up to the enemy without a close support just because you have vision of them isn't wise. Poor decision skills coming from Costabile cost them that first game. Always questionable decisions around the map. Quinn had some instances wherein he also rushes blindly against the enemy, but he makes it up by not committing any mistakes further and just straight up dumpstering the enemy in the mid-late game.

Props to Soniq for an amazing 3-0 against nouns. Gunnar and co. had that one in the bag. Close games too, but the carry is just.. not connecting with their minds at all.
3494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard of trifecta betting? on: September 12, 2022, 10:18:45 PM
You have to have an extreme amount of knowledge on the horses and the jockeys that are racing on that day to be able to hit a trifecta. It's usually just luck but I've read some stories of people making bets with low amounts frequently, and often wins these. Personally for the fun of it I'd do this too, but if I were to gamble seriously on horse racing I'd pick just one horse, raise my bet, and hope for the best, just like moneylines on sports bets although you have a smaller list of contestants you'll have to choose from.
3495  Economy / Economics / Re: Queen Elizabeth II's death may pose financial constraints for King Charles III on: September 12, 2022, 09:30:35 PM
The queen died at a very tumultuous time not only for UK but also for the whole world. It'll be an exceptionally hard challenge for the King to make some decisions that can either make or break UK's short-term future, especially with all the necessities rising up in prices with seemingly no end. Also, the popularity of the idea that a monarch should still exist up to this day will also be put to test. A lot of people have expressed their disinterest in monarchy and wanted to abolish it since they think that the royal family is only eating up on the public's budget, and not really helping much when it comes to the country's state of affairs.

I'm not sure if you saw any videos on social media at the time but the royal family who flew back returned on commercial jets with other people on them instead of private ones which seems like an interesting change to have started (not sure if it's happened before though).

A step in the right direction, I should say. It can help save some money on their own coffers and perhaps re-align it to some other things that the royal household needs.
3496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 12, 2022, 08:48:10 PM
The Road Warriors franchise is for sale, multiple sources told SPIN.ph.

Yes, saw this news a while ago.

According to @HomerSayson - The NLEX franchise is for sale as per his multiple sources.
According to @InsideThePBA - The NLEX franchise is NOT for sale as per one of the executives in the MVP Group. Homer is not credible, they add lol.

Either way, I don't mind that thing. It will open for a more independent team and that is what matters for a balanced league.

Well if this evens out the supposed imbalance on teams in the league, I'm all for it. Perhaps one of the execs in the MVP group does not want to spill the news before they finalized a deal with some other organization interested in the team. That's what they always do in corporate: never divulge a potentially bad negative news before everything is already settled behind the scenes.

PBA will still be there, someone will buy that team if ever just like what happened to Alaska, if the rumor is true then we might be seeing new company to handle NLEX which I also think is a good one. Maybe the pandemic really hits them hard and that’s why they are losing much money on this one, we don’t know how they make money here but I believe PBA is still a good league maybe they just need to update some of the rules to stay active.

PBA viewership is still high, and the more teams a company has on the league, the more stake it has on the profit-sharing. Though it might be that MVP group wants to focus more on their other teams rather than maintain 3, and offload their personnel on that team to the two other teams to get better results.
3497  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Did ChipMixer made hundreds of mllion of dollars? on: September 12, 2022, 08:00:12 PM
CM could have made billions and we wouldn't even know, and we shouldn't even care. They are running a business, and it's normal for them to get some profits for their service. If they are managing to pay 50+ members with an average of $80 each every week, for a few years, this should already give you a clue that they are still doing pretty well, although the exact number of course is not known. A lot of people trusts the service, and they're actually delivering a good service, so whatever they are receiving is deserved.
3498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 12, 2022, 07:14:59 PM
The Grand Finals for North America qualifiers is about to start. The Finals will be between Soniqs and Nouns.

Nouns dropped Soniqs yesterday from the upper bracket with a decisive 2-0 victory. They have an upper hand against Soniqs. But Soniqs is coming from a comeback win against Wild Card in the lower bracket finals. It means they have the momentum and morale going into the finals.

I want Nouns to win this matchup and see Gunnar on the TI mainstage. Dude's a mechanically gifted player and has a solid understanding of the game. It's fun to watch his streams too and you'll learn a thing or two by just watching him. For Soniqs, I'm only rooting for MSS and nothing more. These guys already tasted the TI main stage and they have proven in the Arlington Major that they aren't in their best form for TI.

Would have been nice if I was able to chip in my bet for Nouns. Would surely be betting in their favor that's for sure. Soniqs has the upper hand when it comes to experience, but Nouns got the bases covered when it comes to skills and meta.
3499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Popular Themes for Online Slot on: September 12, 2022, 06:19:22 PM
You know, I like the theme where I always win. Lol. Kidding aside. I like the flashy stuff and making it even more enjoyable with all the spins and free spins in the game. I would love that. The striking thing that I remember is the one with the band Metallica. It was pretty hard to win, but I just pushed through and won in the end. But of course, we all know that once we continue gambling, it will be lost throughout the future.
I don't know why but I feel like there are some themes where I mostly win. I know that themes doesn't affect or determine your chances of winning but whenever I play on a Fruit Style Theme, I mostly end up winning not a lot though but compared to other themes, I mostly end up losing my bankroll.

Anyway, if you enjoy flashy stuffs on your slot then I guess it's better for you to gamble on a physical Casino as you'll get to experience a lot of flashy activities on Slot games compared to online ones.

HAH! Sometimes I also feel the same. I win some decent amounts on Egyptian-themed slots compared to any other themes out there. Managed to double my balance in 30 minutes of playtime before I called it quits and moved to dice. Heck, I guess that's the only slots theme that I ever win anything, ever. Usually the slots that I play on are money sinks; never even recover from a sad losing streak. But yeah, I guess destiny likes to screw with us sometimes that we think we are lucky on X when it's only some mere coincidences.
3500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 12, 2022, 06:03:57 PM
He will be tested again against Butler, expect him to perform the same
way as how he over power Donaire.
I think it's better to say that Paul Butler will be the one that will be tested instead, not Inoue. Cheesy

I never see Inoue struggling in his last fights and it seems like he already mastered the way to dominate everyone in their current weight division. it's only a matter of time before he has the opportunity to try his skills in the upper weight class, where you can say he will be tested. If he has enough discipline to further increase his boxing skills, I'm sure up there would be easy as well he just needs to take care of his body from that onwards and he might gonna be one of the boxing legends by winning multiple championships in different weight divisions.

I don't think Inoue would advance in weight division any time soon. He'll probably just stay in his weight class and defeat many challengers before deciding to go up one division. He's still young, and there isn't any rush for him to challenge a higher weight division. Vargas and other prime boxers in the Featherweight will surely be waiting for him, but these guys are no pushovers so Inoue must enjoy his reign in the Bantamweight division while it lasts.
