3481  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: March 04, 2015, 10:30:07 PM
Blockchain All the way , loads fater then any other wallet

This thread is about bitcoin exchange lol. While blockchain.info is a good block explorer and wallet, it is not an exchange.
For one moment I really thought that blockchain became an exchange. Anyway. I use mostly local European exchanges such as bitcurex, I am not sure if this exchange is known at all, they are solid though https://bitcurex.com/
3482  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you spending your Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2015, 10:23:39 PM
We have 20 BTC from donations and we don't think to spend them in our 3 years plan.
so in 3 years , your gonna be a millionaire. please share once you become one , since i dont have enough bitcoins to become one at this moment : > and cant afford either kek

You don't need more bitcoins, you just need more years Smiley
I would like to taste this promised wealth at least once before I die. I do not earn much I spend my bitcoin mainly to buy food and repair my old PC.
3483  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: March 04, 2015, 10:18:46 PM
I love bitmixer.   I loved them a lot more when they didn't have minimum post counts and they simply paid based on activity (indicating that you have posted on the board but not forcing you to post to get paid).  In those days, their rates were understandably lower than folks who forced you to post.  But now that they've switched to the pay-per-post model I had to move on because their prices simply aren't competitive.  If you're going to do pay-per-post, you have to keep up with the market.  If you do pay-per-activity, then I think you can get away with a lower rate (honestly, I'd probably come back to bitmixer if they switched to pay-per-activity again).
My friend, if you are just 'weekend poster' and do not post much at all, why don't you enroll in some signature campaigns which pay you for 50 or less post per month usually for 0.1 btc?
3484  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase. Thanx a bunch!!! on: March 04, 2015, 10:11:28 PM
I think for most of the major exchanges like Coinbase, Bitstamp, Bitfinex, Kraken, etc you have to be verified somehow either by your bank or other documents, before you can actively trade.

If you want to trade with minimal verification probably BTC-E or Cryptsy will do.
I am not an user of those big exchanges but as far as my experience goes with my local EU exchange I can trade without authentication as much as I am under certain threshold - for example: I can freely seling bitcoin until I reach 300 euro in transactions.
3485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2015, 10:07:45 PM
What could be used as a further incentive to mine?

Trust.

(like P2P File Sharing, it's free ... too)
I think that trust is secondary when something like greed and profit exist. And I guess It will be always profitable to mine in the future due to expected bitcoin price rise.
3486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin documentary is playing on international flights on: March 04, 2015, 10:02:53 PM
in 1 hand, you can have 40 microSD 32GB ... with a literaly tons of movies and 1 android tablet with a USB power on the site.

It may be surprising for some, including you but I, myself do no own any device capable of playing a movie beside my stationary PC. I would definitely watch it. As I can imagine there are a lot people like me around.
3487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin documentary is playing on international flights on: March 04, 2015, 09:46:52 PM
Its nice to see that bitcoin presence is spreading, but i doubt its something they will remember to check out when they come home after flight.
The overall impression over the news covering bitcoin is rather well, i hope it continues the same.

cheers
Publicity is always good, no matter what is it. It is obviously a step in good direction when we want to educate masses about bitcoin.
3488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's year 2050 and Bitcoin is the world currency... on: March 04, 2015, 09:38:32 PM
I am not so sure that insurance plan is so great. Soon we will have copy of our own corrupt financial system only in virtual world. And I thought that bitcoin was meant as remedy for bloated financial market on our real world...
3489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain.info now shows CHINA mining 54% of BTC on: March 04, 2015, 09:35:55 PM
I thought bitcoin was banned in China? World 51% Attack Sad
Bitcoin was banned 'officially' in China as it was in Russia. That means that it is not banned at all. People have still free access to it as you can see. You can't ban every pc or other device with internet connection after all.
3490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's year 2050 and Bitcoin is the world currency... on: March 04, 2015, 09:31:30 PM
From the Bitcoin Wiki:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/FAQ#But_if_no_more_coins_are_generated.2C_what_happens_when_Bitcoins_are_lost.3F_Won.27t_that_be_a_problem.3F

Quote
But if no more coins are generated, what happens when Bitcoins are lost? Won't that be a problem?
Because of the law of supply and demand, when fewer bitcoins are available the ones that are left will be in higher demand, and therefore will have a higher value. So, as Bitcoins are lost, the remaining bitcoins will eventually increase in value to compensate. As the value of a bitcoin increases, the number of bitcoins required to purchase an item decreases. This is a deflationary economic model. As the average transaction size reduces, transactions will probably be denominated in sub-units of a bitcoin such as millibitcoins ("Millies") or microbitcoins ("Mikes").

The Bitcoin protocol uses a base unit of one hundred-millionth of a Bitcoin ("a Satoshi"), but unused bits are available in the protocol fields that could be used to denote even smaller subdivisions.

That should answer your question.

What if coins are lost for some reason and we (general population) is not aware of the loss. Lets say it was an uber rich family and for some reason they lost 80% of their coins due to stupidity and they didn't tell anyone for fear of xyz.
It will be noticed in due time. The 5milBTC wouldn't move. I'm sure somebody will find it and just sit and watch it.

Um, what's due time? well, if BTC ends up being a store of value type of thing, then stagnant coins don't really mean "lost" coin.
Rich people just park their money, they don't move it all the time.  we can't just assume it's lost just because it hasn't moved.

Bitcoin are lost in time and space. That is the truth. If I die right now my bitcoin would be NEVER available for anyone else. I think there are many people like me.
3491  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Prediction 2015 ฿ on: March 04, 2015, 04:51:07 PM
After reading that poll results I am optimistic that people are so full of good energy here. You think that bitcoin in 2015 will reach $1000. It would be awesome but I am here to shake your opinion - it won't happen. Market it being influenced by huge forces and they won't allow btc price to go higher than $400 threshold.
3492  Economy / Services / Re: I need some one to buy me a $3700 laptop on Amazon. Paying 9.50 bitcoins!!! on: March 04, 2015, 04:42:33 PM
Hello! This is my first post and I want to trade! Long story cut short is I need a new gaming laptop to replace my old crappy Dell Latitude laptop died.

Amazon are selling the gaming laptop that I want for $3700. Yes I know that's expensive but I want this laptop to last me 3 + years.

I am willing to trade 9.50 bitcoins at the current market rate in exchange for a buyin me the $3700 laptop from Amazon.

I'm hoping someone with a lot of Amazon gift cards to sell could help me out in buying this laptop for bitcoins.

I know I'm asking for a decent discount on the laptop but you will get instant bitcoins for the laptop in exchange.

Please don't reply complaining about the price! It's just what I can afford right now! And only serious people who can for-fill my Amazon request!

How does this comes ? Are you going to held those funds in escrow if by any reason cames a potential seller for your needs ?
Do you realized you'r asking for a 1200$ disscount and then stated you'r not looking to attract thieves ? C'mon dude!
Buying laptopo for $3700 is a manly thing to do. If you are really serious about it please constact amazon4u he is reseller of Amazon.com. He offers 25% discount on (I imagine) everything. Send him a PM op.
3493  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Troleybüs/Eal F. Skillz/Pandacoin Owes BIT-X 0.055 BTC on: March 04, 2015, 04:35:34 PM
I personally don't trust staff members with alt accounts that aren't known to the public.
So the problem is that you would never know if someone have alt accounts when he will cautious enough. It is not  so hard. From the other hand, some people do not care about disclosure of their own alts. But this is matter for another discussion.
3494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.10.0 has been released on: March 04, 2015, 03:43:26 PM
I am currently using version v0.8.6-beta is there a reason for me to upgrade to version 0.10.0? I am a little afraid that my coins may be in danger in case I fail to do it right....

Simply backup your wallet.dat file to a safe location first (which you should always do before upgrading). Your coins will be "recoverable", should anything go amiss.
I need to backup my wallet.dat file every time amount of my coins is changed? Or it is just some universal id of my wallet?
3495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do boys use bitcoin? on: March 04, 2015, 03:41:23 PM
It would be a legit question op if your inquiry was about women. But asking in that manner you will get nothing but funny answers, which is fine imo but not to helpful.
3496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regret and depression on: March 04, 2015, 03:38:44 PM
Don't spend your time regretting and spend it finding the next best thing, a lot of people don't think the early investor ship has sailed for Bitcoin yet!

We are still the early adopters of cryptocurrency. So there is no need to regret.
Early adopters era is long time gone. I guess early adopters were people who buy/earn/mine  bitcoin under the price of $100.
3497  Economy / Auctions / Re: Sr. Member | Near to 400 Activity | 1 +ve Trust Feedback | Cheap | Don't Miss The Chance!!! on: March 04, 2015, 03:35:50 PM
Can you prove the ownership of the account ?

I have run across Muhammed Z. for quite a while and often. Think you can pretty safely assume that they´re for real.

I agree. Muhammed Z. is a trusted member.

I agree too. He is and will be
He helps everyone and have added me on Skype
He helps whenever i need. So no doubt there is need of any Escrow
And a Senior member can Earn upto BTC0.52 a Month from dadice Campaign. So 173% ROI in just a Month and the rests are real Profits.
So this is a Good deal Grin
Best paying signature campaign is now bit-x again. Theoretically users can earn a lot more than 0.52 BTC now since number of posts in bit-x is not limited. But you need to quit your job to be able to do it. Anyway deal is on.
3498  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Bitcointalk Member Account on: March 04, 2015, 03:30:09 PM
I'm selling a member account.

Account Name: BitHash
Activity: 70
Posts: 84
Date registered: September 2, 2014

Bid start: 0.01 btc
Bid increment: 0.001 btc

Buy it now: 0.05 btc

Escrow is preferred if you did not send first.

why do you think you can gain profit? if you use that account for sig campaign, i thin you will get more and also in 1.5 months, that account gonna be full member, it will increase the value of the account once it hit a higher rank

If I get the money now I can use it for further other investment I want. I bought the account for 31k satoshis I think my gain is enough.

lol 31k satoshis? that is a very cheap price considering that if you sell it now for 0.01 you will gain around 30x of what you pay

I think is wrong to post the account name.
Very easy to get negative trust.
U are not protecting a possible buyer.
Just to let you know.

Because my intention is to prevent this account to be used in scamming. I believe open selling will deter scammer from buying the account and only the goods ones will be buy it for signature campaigns.

agree with this, by letting the username to be known this could prevent a scam attempt
Selling and buying accounts it is something what belongs to grey area on bitcointalk in the first place. Disclosure any evidence leading to the new owner might not be the best idea.
3499  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.ME - CRYPTO CASINO - DICE - BLACKJACK - >100BTC MAX PROFIT - 1 YEAR OLD on: March 04, 2015, 03:22:23 PM
I remember the past couple months someone had a way to abuse the rain over at luckyb.it , so yes you guys should be careful with the abuse on the chata at bitdice as well.

You can't abuse it now coz it has some requirements also. The bot also auto bans users who are using multiple accounts
So multiboxing is forbidden now? Account are banned by ip? What will happen when I have the same network that my friends and the same ip?
3500  Economy / Gambling / Re: DaDice.com - Next Generation Social Gambling Dice Experience on: March 04, 2015, 03:20:03 PM
