3481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does it have volume ? on: March 04, 2020, 10:00:58 PM
Volume is quite important when it comes to crypto currency trading. Coins with high trade volume seems to have more better reliable price than those with low trade volume. Again, coins with really low trade volume are mostly scam coins or eventually turns out to be shit coins.
If I see a coin rising by the rate you said (4000% - 6000%), then honestly, I wouldn't regret at all if I didn't invest on those coins. That is some clear sign of manipulation taking place. I would instead be glad I didn't invest, since I am pretty much sure I wouldn't be able to sell the coins back later.
3482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAMMIT, I missed another profit opportunity!!! on: March 04, 2020, 09:30:22 PM
I bought more Litecoin at $61 a few weeks ago, then watched its price rise to the low 80s.

Then everyone started shitting themselves over this Corona Virus bullshit, so the price retreated to $60 again.  If I'd been able to predict the future I'd have sold at $80 and bought back in at $60, but I didn't.

So I lost some profits.  Farq.
You didn't lose any profit or make any kind of loss. As long as you are holding your coins and haven't sold any, you haven't made any profit or loss. The price of the coins are falling or rising, not the amount of coins you are holding. Instead of regretting that you couldn't sell the coins when the price was at $80, start buying more coins as the price of the coins crashes. You will be making more profit than before when the price reaches back at $80.
3483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not Just for Online but also IRL Gambling on: March 04, 2020, 09:11:15 PM
Have you ever played on a game were it is totally a scam without realizing it? I just seen a facebook post in which there are several games that doesn't let you win even though how many times you try and you'll just feel like giving up then they will tell you that you won or let you win ... but without realizing, it was just a tactic/s to have you play until you burn your eyelids and money to that game.

This applies on both Gambling Online/IRL, So tell me have you ever seen one of these games and you'll just realize it after the game or watching other people play that certain game?

No, not really. I have always been cautious and aware when playing on any new unknown casino. I always try to look for reviews and feedback from real users. Not some shill account or newbie. The review provider must be reliable. If the casino seems kinda a fishy, I will always avoid it. If the offers are too good to be true, then that casino is a total nope for me.
I have seen scam casinos where they provide users with free coins and they magically win more. But before they can withdraw their coins, they will have to deposit a certain amount of coin to "verify" their account. This clearly brings up the red flag and users should avoid those casino.
3484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help! Is this scam or not? on: February 29, 2020, 04:26:29 PM
Hi All, a friend send me a message with info about a new token name NLC (Night Light Coin) with domain nlccoin.com
But the condition to receive the token airdrop is have to transfer ETH to this address: 0x36afEe66EA8d6a99A9c6c7e676D512eA4A19bC83
I'm not sure if this project is real or from any scammer to cheat everyone. Please give me some advice
Thank you
Never heard of Night Light Coin. But, airdrops are supposed to be free coins you receive on your wallets after you register or complete certain task. You don't have to pay anything for it. Either your friends account got hacked and the hacker is trying to scam everyone on his list, or your friend does not know what he is doing. Either way, you should alert your friend about it. Even if you do wish to proceed (which I would strongly advise not to!), make sure you do proper research about the project.
3485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to survive if you lose more than 80% of your Capital? on: February 29, 2020, 04:22:55 PM
You don't lose anything as long as you don't sell your bitcoin. You are talking about the downfall that took place back at the end of 2018, right? Then, yeah if you kept on holding it and waited till today. You wouldn't have made this much of a loss. Patience is the key over here. The price is crashing, not the the number of coins you are holding. Instead of selling it back then, if you would have bought more during the dip, you would have made more than 120% of profit.
3486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: February 29, 2020, 04:15:33 PM
There are many ways to promote bitcoin. You can watch this video (https://youtu.be/qzwf1AQxqM0) of mine to learn more on several ways in which you can contribute to the promotion of bitcoin. I hope the video is helpful because making it was like building Rome (Rome was not built in a day).😁😁
I'll be very grateful if you can list more ways so we all can have something we can do to support the growth of bitcoin. Thanks a lot for promoting bitcoin. Yea, that reminds me; you can make bitcoin arts too and publicise them.
Nice animation. Looks like you did put on some good effort. Kudos for that. While promoting bitcoin, you should also let people know about the technology. How it works. I mean, the basics of blockchain and crypto currencies. Just don't go into too much details about the technology. They might end up thinking that its too complicated and might not like what they are hearing. Let them know about the benefits. While you are at it, teach them how to also keep them safe from online hijacking.
3487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a failed experiment? on: February 29, 2020, 03:59:24 PM
Today I'm thinking of selling my BTC even though it would be a big loss right now I've been with BTC a while and used to the volitility but this time I believe it's different

I was a believer in BTC and the future of crypto I believed having 1 or more BTC was a smart thing to do that many would look back in 10 to 20 years wishing they'd bought some when it was still obtainable by the regular Joe.

Now I feel that BTC will trend down hitting sub 1 dollars prices possibly even 0 over the next 12 to 18 months. the current coronavirus outbreak has been BTCs first real test and it failed hard and failed immediately. It's not a store of wealth and its failure to hold value in a economic down turn is spectacular and visible to all.  Today I think BTC is a failed experiment. What are your thoughts?
It is still a smart thing to do. Hold your coins before its too late. Just because the price is falling now, does not mean that it is going to keep on falling forever. Look at the stock markets. The are declining too! The fall of this price isn't as bad as the stock market crash. The 15% drop you are talking about took place in last few weeks. This is not fair, if you compare the price in this way. Look at the long run price increase. We are more than 120% above if you compare the price with last year.
3488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am fed up with scammers and newbies. on: February 29, 2020, 03:48:27 PM
Last week, I found an airdrop project in Telegram called Marco Protocol, the airdrop looked decent at the first stage, I earned 200 MAPC tokens and that was instant! But you only can withdraw from your MAP wallet when Airdrop program will end, that's good, I am okay with it. Their airdrop tweet got 8K retweet and 9K likes, so, you can understand how hype it had!
But yesterday, they announced they are going to sell Bitcoin at a 50% discount to celebrate the halving. Can you imagine? 1 Bitcoin price is 8600 USD, people can buy by 4300$! I believe This is absolutely scam but many newbies already have fallen for that! As they saw MAPC has huge support in twitter, and they listed on CMC too.

50% off announcement: https://t.me/MAP_POB_channel/87
Lmao, this is really sad. Do you really think they will be selling bitcoin at 50% rate? They would just end up crashing the market. The offer already sounds too good to be true. If someone falls for this kind of stupid scams, then I am sorry to say, they deserve to get scammed. At least they won't be greedy or quick to jump into a fishy offer in the future. They will think twice before claiming such offers.
3489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency vs. Fiat currency. on: February 29, 2020, 03:44:23 PM
Fiat money can also works online like cryptocurrency it just that, fiat money is controlled by the government and that makes cryptocurrency better to be used. As of now, we still need both of them and still fiat money accept around the world while crypto is still limited. We have to use both of them, depends on your needs.
Do you even know what you are saying? How come Fiat money work as a crypto currency? I think you need to learn more about crypto currencies. You knowledge on crypto currency and blockchain seems to be really low. If you use fiat currency, the accountability factor becomes really low, where as if you use crypto currencies, you will be accountable for all your transactions. Fiat transactions made can be altered, which you can't if you are using the blockchain technology. Lets not forget about the easiness of cross-border transactions!
3490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming Industry and Cryptocurrency! on: February 28, 2020, 11:01:20 PM
Cryptocurrency and the GAMBLING industry can be very suitable, but I am not very sure about the cryptocurrency and the game industry. More than 10 years since the creation of Bitcoin and a few years after most of the big altcoins were made, I can't see the game using cryptocurrency to buy and sell virtual game items to be really popular and successful. Congratulations on the Minecraft server that uses BTC and let's hope the Fortninte clone game will be launched successfully, but other than that the use of crypto is gaming is a good use case, but it's not the only use case. Smiley
Wouldn't gambling fall in the category of gaming? You play games on a casino and if you get lucky you win coins. Slots, minesweeper, dice, poker etc are all games that people play to enjoy. For an extra adrenaline rush, they bet while playing those games. Most of the places consider both online gambling and gaming as the same thing.
Didn't know Minecraft is involved with crypto currencies. How exactly people uses crypto currencies on Minecraft?
3491  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A new virus is attacking Google 2FA app on: February 28, 2020, 10:50:22 PM
No way. I have a lot of accounts with 2FA, almost all of my accounts have it. This is just alarming, never thought that it would be breached like that. Most of the sites offer this as a security, and if this happening a lot of accounts will be hacked so easily since that is the first thing you will put when you log in. I will be removing mine now and renew my passwords.
You don't have to remove it. Do you really think Google Authenticator, a software developed by Google is totally vulnerable to the new virus forever? Of course Google is going to take some steps and put on some patches to make sure that Google Authenticator is safe from all kinds of attack.
Like I said, you don't have to remove authenticator. Just make sure you keep your phone protected and be careful when surfing the internet or downloading files. As long as you don't get your phone infected, you will be safe.
3492  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin good for the economy? on: February 28, 2020, 10:45:00 PM
Assuming, that everyone around the world has access to crypto currencies and is legal everywhere, then yeah it can bring some good to the economy. Bitcoin can be considered as a global currency. People can easily accept bitcoin from another country within seconds by just sitting on their home without facing any kind of obstructions (assuming the whole world is now crypto friendly). Thus people can have better opportunities to work online and receive payments easily, thus making the economy of the country even better than before.
3493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT BITCOIN on: February 28, 2020, 10:36:55 PM
True, most of them invest on bitcoin just to get rich real quick. They have seen the price of bitcoin rise real fast, for which they end up with a stereotypical idea of bitcoin. They have heard stories about how the prices of altcoins jump around 500% in few days for which they think that all cryptocurrencies can give profits real quick. Instead of admiring the advantages of crypto currencies over fiat currencies, they tend to run after profits only and use cryptocurrencies as a storage of  value. This kind of behavior is actually a barrier to the development of crypto currencies.
But hey, at least people are curious/interested on bitcoin because of this "get rich quick" scheme. Eventually they will learn that its not an investment that can make you rich over night, but an  investment that can give you financial freedom.
3494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 28, 2020, 10:07:19 PM
You are going to get a lot of mixed answers. Truth is, it depends from person to person. A person might find it easy to stop when he is winning but really hard to stop when he is losing. Similarly, one might get tires/exhausted from have a losing streak and might stop for the day. Unfortunately, for a gambling addict, none of the ways are easy for them. They want to gamble and win more when they are winning, they will want to gamble and win back what they lost when they are losing.
Though I guess, it would be easier for a person to stop when they are winning once they realize that in the long run the house always win.
3495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities advertise scam ICO again on: February 28, 2020, 09:41:10 PM
SEC fined Steven Seagal for advertising ICO. The actor did not disclose information about the funds received for the promotion of the project, which could mislead investors, the Commission explained.

Since the ICO, the price of the Bitcoiin2Gen token advertised by Segal has fallen by 99%.

do you think celebrities know that they advertise scam projects or they just don’t understand what they are doing? I think this is a big problem for the market

As long as they get paid, they don't really care about what they are advertising for. I doubt they hardly even know anything in details about what they are advertising. They just get paid and do what they are told to do. Now if someone gets scammed by investing on those projects just because a celebrity advertised it, then yeah that is really really sad and kinda a deserve to lose their money.
Just don't invest blindly by reading articles or looking at advertisements. Do your own analysis before you put your money at risk.
3496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coronavirus ain't helping on: February 28, 2020, 12:48:06 AM
We all have a new hope for crypto this year and no one saw coronavirus outbreak coming, if this isn't contained anytime soon all dreams might be nothing but dreams this year, Coronavirus ain't helping at all
Like how is this corona virus even going to affect the price of bitcoin? This is really weird that people always comes up with some sort of excuse or something to blame at when they see the price of crypto currency dropping. So, why do you think the price of bitcoin is dropping just because of this corona virus outbreak? Do you have any kind of facts that can backup your claim? Funny I remember reading somewhere on this forum that the price of bitcoin was increasing because of the virus, and now when its dropping, its the viruses fault.
3497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have some funds to invest-- How do I make a good decision? on: February 28, 2020, 12:27:01 AM
Look, you have funds to make investments. These are your funds. You will be risking your money with investments. So, you will know whats the best for you. Taking random peoples financial suggestion from the internet isn't the best thing to do. They might give you suggestions that makes no sense at all or might instead be harmful for you, but they don't care. After its your investment you will be losing, not theirs.
Even if you do follow their suggestions, make sure you do your own research too instead of blindly believing them.
3498  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Ethercrash script on: February 28, 2020, 12:23:36 AM
Users should be careful when buying such scripts. You never know what does scripts might do. The script might go rouge without the user even noticing.
Also there is no such thing as guaranteed profit scripts. If you are making some stable guaranteed profit, then why are you selling this script? You shouldn't be worry about money since you make easy profit, right?
Anyway, if anyone wants to make a deal with him, be extremely careful. The user has no reputation whatsoever.
3499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to get lucky ;) on: February 27, 2020, 11:57:47 PM
This article shows four ways to get lucky:

1. Maximize Your Chances to Be Lucky

2. Listen to Your Instincts

3. Expect to Be Lucky

4. Look on the Bright Side

Can these steps make you lucky?!!To win the lottery you must get lucky first of all.
Do you have a way to make you lucky most of the time?

The first point contradicts the whole post. You post says that there are four points that can get us to be lucky, but then the first point says that we must maximize our chances to get lucky. I mean the first point doesn't make any sense at all. If you "maximize" your chances and then it happens, then it no longer means that you got lucky. You worked for it to happen. If it would be something like you didn't even try but happened, then yeah it means you got lucky.
Listening to your instance also depends on your luck if its right or wrong.
Lol, don't just follow these steps and expect to win a "lottery". If you could really get lucky just following these steps, then millions of people would get lucky in gambling and casinos would cease to exist anymore.
3500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Post a gambling site by: Newbie. on: February 27, 2020, 11:48:46 PM
sorry, i don't know if a topic like this has been created here.

I honestly know several gambling sites, which can be trusted to bet on this forum.

A little strange to me, for beginners who make the topic of gambling sites that end (scam), the most severe again at the first time gambling sites are made, beginners disappear never reply to what is asked by members here about the work of the gambling site.

Many people now fall into the valley of death for lost money, because gambling sites are not responsible.

what I want to ask is:

1. Mod can you, to limit any beginners and prohibit or delete posts on behalf of gambling sites, posted by beginners, it's up to gambling sites, whatever that is.
2. Give one posting rule on behalf of gambling sites must rank Jr. and above.
Also does not guarantee, for high-ranking members who bring gambling sites lead to fraud, but at least there is a reply from the answer, leads to something ....rather than beginners one post is instantly lost.

I think a few more ideas are needed from members here, in handling scam gambling sites.
Best solution.
The moderators on this forum does not moderate scams. If a user reads about a casino (which is also a post made by a newbie user) and tries to play on the casino without trying to learn further about the casino through some other source, then yeah that user does deserve to get scammed. At least he will be learning a valuable lesson and next time he is going to be really careful trusting a random user from the internet.
