3481  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I'm looking for partners for GPU mining I have free electricity on: November 16, 2012, 07:37:22 PM
I will use the money of the evil union (EU) that completely destroyed economy of my homeland! It is like stealing from government in USSR where it was a honorable thing to do.
Where are you from exactly?
It's still stealing from the community. No matter how badly the community is regulated.

"i do it because he does it too" is not a valid excuse.
Just ignore the wannabe Nazi. Tongue
It's not my goal to be Nazi or stuff like that. I'm sorry if i made you think that.
Seriously, i don't want you to stole my money.

This is what i think this thread is.

3484  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The upgrade-ratio attack and the supernode invasion on: November 13, 2012, 08:42:43 PM
Some time ago I asked some cloud computing companies if they would let me hire a single virtual CPU with 4000 external IPv4 addresses. One of them said "no problem". And it was very cheap indeed.

Seems strange.

Spammers would love that. Maybe you had port 25 locked.

They cannot inject money as you say.
They don't own their own money.

Someone does something out of this mess.
And than let the mess continue!
3488  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Rome & Florence, Italy - November on: November 12, 2012, 09:58:31 PM
Right now Venice is having its 6th bigger flood in its history. Maybe if the situation goes one for the next 10 days you could do a little stop there, it's like 3 hours of car from Florence. I would be happy to guide you here Smiley

3490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone know what happened to knightmb and his 371,000 BTC? on: November 11, 2012, 11:53:58 AM

3491  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Investire in bitcoin? on: November 10, 2012, 01:39:29 PM
avete consigli?

Grin
Ma difatti è facile Smiley
3492  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will bitcoins double soon? on: November 10, 2012, 01:07:30 PM
I saw that the payout will halve, does this mean the price will double? Shocked shouldn't we invest?

i'm confused.
No, you should not invest before the market.

Do that only if in your mind bitcoin 10 years from now is still solid in your daily life.

Thank you.

3494  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Are ASIC's the endgame? on: November 10, 2012, 07:30:11 AM
Considering BFL has said their going to be running 65nm parts and the big CPU vendors are pushing out 22nm stuff already, it's not a stretch to imagine ASIC's getting down to 22nm or smaller.  That's give you even more power efficiency.

We will see a 22nm ASIC only in 10 years or if bitcoin becomes mainstream before that.
3495  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I sell some gold for bitcoin? on: November 10, 2012, 07:05:39 AM
I wouldn't take even only part of a gold investment to bitcoin.
Take some (little) fiat and buy like 100 bitcoins. It will be even more (in % out of total) of the gold you already have.
3496  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitInstant getting hit by a DDoS attack? on: November 08, 2012, 10:32:06 PM
I'm interested in knowing how the hacker bypassed the cloud flare protections.
They are not worth 100000$, but still, they proved themself useful.
3497  Other / Off-topic / Re: (Poll) US presidential election: who do you hate the least? on: November 06, 2012, 06:24:56 PM
Don't know, there is not such an option like "I don't live in the us, I don't hate you"?

I hope that you don't think that for real. In that case, well, maybe you should start reflecting over the propaganda you take every day.

3499  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to create/modify software for this forum [3600+ BTC] on: November 05, 2012, 03:16:21 PM
Oh look, we missed the threads one year birthday :/

Someone should just create the software and sell the finished product to Theymos, otherwise it will never get done.
Too risky, he felt in love with SMF.
3500  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I safe on a Mac? + some beginner questions on: November 05, 2012, 03:15:10 PM
Exactly the same thing apply for Windows. On windows you only get viruses if you do shady things/shady java websites and so on. It's not like you start a windows computer and after five minutes it automatically get infected
Well, this might happen with windows.
No, seriously.
