3481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I Predict $20,000 for dogecoin in 5years time on: August 01, 2021, 03:13:09 PM
Are you okay bro? I know it's okay for us to predict the future but we need to walk side by side with the reality. $20k in 5 years? Come on dude it's totally impossible, did you try to do some math if DOGE hit that price how much their marketcap will be? I think $1-$5 is more realistic for doge to reach that price in 5 years.

Though this thread is quite unrealistic, I think investors who think unrealistically about DOGE should read this thread, it's not only about the comments on the $20k target price but as to the potential of DOGE to reach a certain price. Also, it's important that they know about the hype of DOGE and how it's manipulated to reach this level, that way, they'll learn and wait up on the reality that DOGE is not stable as they think.
3482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm now all in BTC. All eggs in one basket! on: August 01, 2021, 02:21:25 PM
I am holding BTC and altcoins also but i don't put all my eggs in a  basket. Last couple of weeks is good for Bitcoin and i hope till November, BTC will experience its ATH but at the same time altcoins will also chase Bitcoin. So i like to put 30%-40% in BTC and the rests are for altcoins like ETH, DOT, CAKE, BABY, KICK, TRX, KSUMA, ONT etc. After all, we have to remember that Bitcoin was only below $5. So only who are holding BTC till now aren't in wrong decision, rather they are gainers form the perspective of the day. So, in the long run, it's okey for only hold BTC.

More diversification of funds is better as it will give more opportunity to earn more, remember that bitcoin is not the most profitable coin during the last two bull runs, usually, the altcoins have more increase but we also have to remember that during the bear market, altcoins have more loses.

Therefore, we should put in mind that bitcoin investing has a lower risk than investing in altcoins and they should be managed properly to minimize the risk.
3483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the bulls back? on: August 01, 2021, 12:31:47 PM
The condition of the market is very good nowadays.
As the price of Bitcoin rises.
AltCoin prices immediately.
We now expect the market to be much better now.

That's the usual thinking especially for the newbies who have less experience with crypto investing. The market maybe a bit bullish now, but it does not guarantee anything, at an increase of 20% or more for a week might be good but it could possibly not last and correction again will start.

In the past, after the ATH, we saw the dump, but bitcoin bounce a bit by rising with a good percent but it did not hold long since the bearish market is still dominant so the struggle continues.
3484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 01, 2021, 12:03:48 PM
Spain drew the short straw and will face Team USA in the quarter-finals, here's rest of the matchups:

Doncic is still undefeated with Slovenia, 16-0 now, and not so crazy path to the finals imo. 👀

The match between Spain and the US team is very interesting whoever wins here is a strong contender on Gold, Spain right now is playing great they are always in title contention and they can exploit the US team weakness because the US team is not what you can consider a great team compared to all the past team, they are not a dream team and beatable.

Now that Spain lost to Slovenia, I am confident that they will also lose against the USA.
This is a great match actually because Spain will face the favorite team in the Quarter Finals and if they can beat the USA, things will then be unpredictable.

Slovenia vs Spain, this was a close one, just some bad execution by Spain in the 4th quarter, but Spain still has a chance and that is by beating the USA.
3485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on friendly matches on: August 01, 2021, 09:33:48 AM
Gambling on friendly match is a high risk gamble, you tend to loose it all as its comprises of fixed matches, a team that you expect to win will just pull a suprise by losing despite being given a very low odds, it's better to play either goal goal or over 2.5 goals in such match, because they don't put in much effort
They're prone to fix matches but you'll never know if the match is fixed or not.

There are still those teams that won't allow such match-fixing to happen because the penalty and punishment are big for these teams if they've been caught.

It's not about match-fixing... A team can lose not because someone arranged it... Sometimes it is not profitable to play the main squad because of upcoming matches and the team does not play the main squad... In fact there may be many possible outcomes that are not in your favour! Wink

Its too hard to play or to bet against a friendly match again there's a possible happen in this kind of game both organizations can talk about the possible chance of winning to win or to throw but if you are a bettor and you know its a friendly match its a higher risk to win, but if this kind of match is the same with the high-rank tournament they could possibly not to throw the game but if just a normal game like a low-class tournament it could possible.

I'm okay with betting in this kind of game, it's not a problem for me as I only put a little bet, I will treat it like entertainment only and not too serious about it. In friendly games, stats won't work so even if your analysis is well-research, you still can't assure which team will win as one team could not exert an effort especially the favorites.
3486  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It feel good to see Bitcoin going well on: July 31, 2021, 09:39:19 PM

But for now I think I will be holding this coin even if it crashes the most important thing is that I managed to buy Bitcoin at a lower price and that matters to me, my goal is to have more Bitcoin as possible.

You will make more money with bitcoin if you can spot when it is time to drop so that you can sell and wait to refill again when it is time, that is part of trading. Every day bitcoin drop and rise again and some investors take opportunity of both movement. Hodling bitcoin to it crash and starts gaining again will profit you nothing, you are better when you sell and buy again.

If you have again with binance and you hodl your bitcoin there, you would see how many percentage of profit you would have made if you have sold and how much you have lost daily for hodling. All is a function of price fluctuation.

If holding for short term, that would make you aware of your assets' timely value, you can just check it from time to time and wait until your target is achieved. I'm talking about target because that is very important, if you have a target, you should follow it and never hesitate or change it when you see an opportunity as that is called greediness and it does not always pay well.
3487  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance squeezes users on verification on: July 31, 2021, 09:10:03 PM
It's expected, this is the result of regulation and eventually, the time will come that we will all be required to submit a KYC before we can avail the service of an exchange, they'll be treated like a bank, and banking policies will be applied in exchanges, this news makes us ready for what could possibly happen in the future.
3488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: July 31, 2021, 02:31:55 PM

Iran vs France later.

Iran is clear the underdog here. I placed a fun bet for them as they are eager to get a win before being eliminated.

France already secures a slot next round so they don't need to force a win against Iran. It's expected that they will sideline or minimize the playing time of their stars to keep them healthy the next round. A "slight advantage" for Iran as France bench players are also good.

Good underdog here as Iran had nothing to lose and most likely will go all in. On the other side , France has the necessary points as far as I know so they won't go hard tonight.

I only saw a couple of games and I must say that for me , Slovania looks the team who could snatch the gold from USA Team because Doncic kinda looks like an Gold Medal Olympic Athlete right ? and most certain he plays like one.

So what happens here?

I just saw the scoreboard, the game is over and France won by 17 points,  the final score was 79-62.

What's the point spread of this game?
I'm guessing France still covers the spread here.

This article briefly explained why boxing should not be ban and upong reading it, I realize that if they'll ban boxing, then other sports that are risky should also be ban.

here's the statement from the article that we can reflect on.

Quote
This article is part of a series looking at the moral dimensions of modern life

Many doctors argue that the time has come to ban boxing. We disagree. In 2005, the World Medical Association wrote:

Boxing is a dangerous sport. Unlike most other sports, its basic intent is to produce bodily harm in the opponent. Boxing can result in death and produces an alarming incidence of chronic brain injury. For this reason, the World Medical Association recommends that boxing be banned.

The above statement, however, is excessively paternalistic. Boxing is indeed risky, but the risks are perhaps comparable to other activities and sports. Fighting is certainly tolerated in ice hockey – in which a specific player, “the goon”, is encouraged to be aggressive. And as Mario Mendez has written in the International Journal of Psychiatry in Medicine, “in boxing . . . there is a smaller risk of fatal head injuries than in horse racing, sky diving, mountaineering, motorcycle racing, and even [American] football”.

With regards to non-fatal injuries, boxing was the first sport where chronic traumatic encephalopathy was noticed in former competitors. This is a progressive and degenerative condition caused by repeated head injuries; it presents with neurological symptoms such as memory loss and mood swings, eventually leading to dementia. But we now know that a wide range of contact sports result in head injuries frequent or severe enough to cause the condition:  American football, rugby, ice hockey and  professional wrestling (to name a few) are all linked to it, with a study of 2010 showing that school-aged American football players had “measurable neurocognitive and neurophysiologic deficits”, despite never having been concussed.

Westbrook improved his all-around game but I still do not see him as a real PG.

He might not be the best PG but he is a real PG, for a guy that averages a triple-double and won his first MVP back in Oklahoma City Thunder, I think we should not doubt him. Lots of positive expectations by him now that he is playing with the Lakers, but we can never guarantee that chemistry will work.

Agree, PG is the one who handles the ball and it can be measure by his stats especially the assist department.
If we look at his last season average with the Washington Wizards, he is still very consistent.

3491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: July 30, 2021, 12:21:39 PM
Betting budgets depends on how would one spending time on betting and gambling. I frequently passing time with my gambling platform but not full time. So my gambling budgets obviously not enough .
As long as it's enough for you to call it a day that's already good enough for you even if your budget isn't that much. That's better to have insufficient budget and having a tight pocket so that you won't spend that much.
It's the problem of others that they're addressing and having hard time to limit themselves in budgeting themselves through gambling.
A gambler should know about enough and never break that because that will impact our funds. When he frequently passes the time in gambling games without setting the limit of funds, I am afraid that he can add more money to his account to continue playing gambling. If that happens many times, that will attract him to become addicted because he will feel hunger for playing gambling. But gambling will always seduce us to add more and more money without realizing it so it needs control.
You will certainly experience that if you don't have the discipline in gambling.

As a gambler, I also experience being addicted and it does not give you peace of mind as it will affect everything you do in life.
If you give gambling the biggest attention in your life of all you do, it will not gonna give you a comfortable feeling as if you win, you'll be too happy and if you lose, you'll be too sad as well. The real way to gamble is through business, not in gambling where we don't have an edge.
3492  Economy / Speculation / Re: the next checkpoint $13,800 on: July 30, 2021, 11:58:59 AM
But if the next lowest price is at $13,800, I wonder what will happen when the price starts going down because I think some people will panic seeing the price jump down.

You know what will happen, people will panic and the smart investors will buy.

We've been in that kind of situation many times, bitcoin is sometimes too bearish that we thought it will not survive again, but still, it pumps and even makes a new ATH, so never lose your trust in bitcoin, it will look like a dead for some time but it always bounces back and reward those who trust.
3493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ethics of boxing and gambling on: July 30, 2021, 10:16:47 AM
People are savage I think since fighting on each other is considered as sports in other countries and yet hate animal cruelty but still they like to see someone fighting each other. It's like an honor for them to fight the strongest man alive and then today it's now an official sports.

I don't know why though, I just don't get it why fighting each other is supposed to be fun when this is a sports and the only ethical about it that I see is they win a bigger prizes if they beat their opponent. Anyway, I think there's a weaver about it if someone wants to participate on this bloody sports then they have to be ready and accept the consequences and I think that's the risk of it. Meaning high risk equals high rewards.

After reading your comment mate it made me realize things like this I mean I used to believe that boxing is a sport which it is legally considered and now slapping tournament been practiced already and this only prove to me that everything has a price the higher the risk you put the higher the chance you may get what you want. I salute all the players that set to be the one stand on the ring, fighting aiming to win to be able to win a high prize while bettors watching and being entertained on what they have seen on the ring.

Obviously, it's just all for the money, if no one will promote this sport, no boxer would risk their lives fighting. Boxing is very popular, it will not be taken out already and I think no government has ever boxing yet because it entertains people, and it also creates opportunity for the successful boxer though we know the risk.
3494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 29, 2021, 12:57:03 PM
I reckon you underestimate popularity in elections because in reality elections are only a popularity contest. Trump won versus Hillary on 2016 because of his popularity among the lower class in America. I speculate that it might be similar in Pacman’s country. This win versus Spence will create a clamor for him to run as president.

Also, if the news media begins creating storylines that the present administration of a country is corrupt, unjust and oppressive, this is the first signs that there are political backers begining their move. Pacman will be with that move. In any case, I predict that he will declare he is running for president if he wins.

Pacquiao's trust rating as of this late has declined due to his attack on the sitting President which enjoyed a very high trust rating even if this is his last year in the position. Before Manny flew for the US, he accused some government agencies of corruption which he could not prove, and instead of doing his job as a senator, where he is in the US training for his fight while the people he ought to serve is in danger of this delta variant of covid.

He might not admit but he is distracted by the issues on his home country. Believe it or not, more people are now praying that Pacquiao will lose this one because they feel that Manny is selfish and only after his own interest.

I hope they'll not do that, sports and politics should be treated differently, if Manny wins, he will bring honor to the country whatever the political party they belong to. Manny is always focus, we have not seen him with that kind of problem in the past, so I don't want to assume that the impact is too big for him that he will be distracted on his training to this fight.

Now let's see if Japan could at least prevent it to become a blowout game against Slovenia. I am betting for them at +18.5.
Spain won against Japan last time with just 11 point lead. I hope the performance will be the same or better. Betting against Luka may not be wise but that's +18.5 which is a good deal.  Grin

Lose - ergh!

ctto
[..]

It was a blowout win, sorry man, just bounce back next time.

Slovenia has proven that they are too much against Japan, and Luka still had another great game in this run.

Maybe it's not a good idea to bet against Slovenia, Luka is too hard to handle.

Yep, even the host country, can't take the heat out of Luka, I also thought that it will be a good game and not a blow out one. But Luka, has torch team and if I have to bet, I will also tail @danherbias07  because after all it is their home court.

Unfortunately, Luka's experience is really showing in this Olympics, I mean he has played a great game in the playoffs and still carrying in this Olympics.

Does anyone know the current ranking? I mean from the top 1 favorites down to the lowest. I read some article and it states that Australia is the top favorites to win the gold, and USA is just in the top 3, how accurate it is you think?

3496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terms and condition a must read before signing up any online gambling site on: July 26, 2021, 05:22:37 PM
I believe that those websites that block VPNs do so because some of the users who are from countries where online gambling is restricted or prohibited must use VPNs to access the gambling websites, and the websites will be affected if legal action is taken against them because they did not prevent the user from playing even though it is prohibited in their country.

You already said that gamblers use VPN so they will have the freedom to access the website they won't able to access in their country.

How come the website will be responsible for any legal actions if they allow users from prohibited countries to play? They won't detect it because of the obvious reason that they are using a VPN.  There are lots of VPN types and site owners can't reliably detect if those users are using a VPN.

They put that on terms so that users will know that anything related to VPN is not allowed on the site even there's no way a site can confirm it. The only closest thing that site owners can look at is if the account was logged impossibly on different regions in just a short timeframe.

In most cases, it's the gamblers that will face problems if they violate the rules of a casino, so if you are gambling especially with a decent amount of money. Just try not to cheat by using a VPN just for the site to allow you because they detected a masked IP, eventually, you'll get caught and your money will be freeze.

That's usually what we saw in some of the scam accusations reports, and then gambleres accuse the site of cheating when it was actually them who broke the rules, the sites just made the right action of the violation.
3497  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will Bitcoin go? on: July 26, 2021, 04:51:47 PM
I think that the lowest value that Bitcoin will fall to is $25k in this bear market. We should be prepared for the price to go down under $30k very soon. It's imminent. And this time I'm expecting this fall to reach even a lower level than $29k. And I must admit that the bear market is always really boring.  Grin  I've missed the bull market already now.

Looks like the price of $ 25k will not be reached again, now the price of bitcoin is around $ 38k and I'm sure before august the price of bitcoin can reach at least $ 42k, this further proves that bitcoin is the most profitable investment.

It might reach above $40k again, but it's still crucial if it can break that price. Seeing a big pump today is just amazing, after the struggle of bitcoin, here we are again seeing a bullish market, already at 14% increase now (24h) and bitcoin is trading at $39k. Let's watch closely and make the decision now whether we ride or take this as just a bull trap only.
3498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm now all in BTC. All eggs in one basket! on: July 26, 2021, 04:29:26 PM
If in the stock market, maybe putting all asset in one investment is a bad thing because the investment support point is only from one choice. but for the crypto market it seems that just choosing bitcoin is actually enough. because other coins also depend on bitcoin so just choosing bitcoin option personally i think its still oke . this only oke with bitcoin not other coin.
We make our own choices, and your justification maybe true as we never see bitcoin lose its spot, it still holds the number spot and has the biggest market dominance. Investing in bitcoin is less risky compared to altcoins, so it's alright to put all your basket into bitcoin, but it's also not bad to diversify into altcoins, it only depends on how an investor will manage his fund.
3499  Economy / Speculation / Re: the next checkpoint $13,800 on: July 26, 2021, 03:33:38 PM
I always find it interesting when someone has this kind of analysis, in a bullish market, we usually see a bullish analysis and now even if the market is correcting, we still see more bullish predictions which for me is not anymore realistic. So for me, I believe that we might see that price as it's easy for bitcoin to fall when people start to panic.
3500  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go down below $20,000. on: July 26, 2021, 03:01:58 PM
Looks like what happened in 2018 is happening again this year, if it's the same scenario then we can expect a long bear run for the market. Bitcoin dropping below $30k creates panic, altcoins are dumping as well so what can we expect that bitcoin has already fallen below $30k now?

Will we see the same scenario in 2018 or it will be different this time?
Bitcoin is now different from year 2018, the price is amazing it reach 60k$ and I don't believe that it will fall down below 20k$ in fact it is now start rising after it downfall up to 29k$ last week. I believe that bitcoin will rise soon and reach another ath.
Bitcoin has more support and strong resistance than any time before, comparing the 2018 with 2021 won't work out. Anyway, Does this mean bearish market finally over? From this point, BTC either go up or down. Until BTC beat the resistance $41K, don't be too comfortable. It's hard to argue any sort of bullish activity at this moment.
We shall see soon as we have good news that resulted in the pump of bitcoin, bitcoin is currently trading at $38k now, from $29k last week I think, so it's a big improvement, and this news that came out today really help bitcoin to recover. Question is, can bitcoin break the resistance? we shall see in 24 hours from the date the news about amazon was published, if it will not, then the rumor is not reliable enough to convince people to invest.
