Curiosity about something is normal in this world and it is not pointless at all. The same happen when many people ask who is Satoshi Nakamoto, we are curious who is him, where is him, how rich is he and the discussion will never stop till they get the answer or at least a clue.
Yes although the players are hidden and most probably if the name is visible we can't say it's real one or not and everyone wants to find the answer for the same as you said only out of curiosity. We all have Sherlock inside us knocking our brains when we see something private and which is becoming a topic of discussion and we want to find the answer for the same as this is normal.
3482  Other / Meta / Re: Is there some sort of Godfatherism in the forum? on: July 15, 2021, 01:58:27 PM
I don't think there is any favourism of merit circle on this forum as you will probably see that quality posts have been receiving merits from the members but if you are talking about reciprocal merits then ofcourse you can see if one member giving merit to another but if the posts deserve it to be.For all the merit sources that I know are actively engaged in giving smerits to all the good and constructive posts that come under their witness and sometimes theh give say many merits to each other but it's not that they are abusing the system because sometimes they run out of smerits and they can give it to each other so that members are able to receive them when needed. The circle revolves the same way because when a merit source is receiving merits from another source it will distributed among all the posts that deserves to be merited. So there is no such thing in the forum according to me.

You'll probably be inflationarily secure, but I'm just adding some wise words from John Maynard Keynes:  “In the long run we are all dead”.
It's all our destiny in the end and we can't escape from it so till the time we and btc are alive we should we should try to enjoy our life and meanwhile save for our future also.

I wonder until when, we'll measure with dips and ATHs this currency... Maybe forever...
We have already seen ATH of around $64k this year and now they are tumbling between $30k-$35k so that's why I was saying it as dips but not crash and if we have a look at past graphs we have always been bullish man and I know that.

Congrats! You'll make it a habit if you keep this up. I hope you get a raise or have a side job since you're increasing your BTC investment per month. You cannot keep on reducing your food budget can you?
I already mentioned that I am working in an office so no worries about that and I am not reducing my food budget actually but just leaving my habits of ordering food online on junk food and trying to eat healthy ones at home. The junk food budget is going into these investment.

A great decision ever. It's because by reducing junk food you are saving your health and on the other hand by saving Bitcoin your building your wealth. It's quite interesting and I appreciate your decision. Better once you can leave eating junk foods permanently. It's really not useful for your health rather than it's harmful to your health & wealth as well.
Thanks for the motivation man and yes we can always try to evade those things which are not necessary in life like junk food but btc investment cannot be compromised at this time so making this wise decision.

Will you be editing and updating this thread or will you be creating a new thread?
I will keep updating the same thread and what's the fun of making another thread about the same thing when I have already made one.So will try to update it on monthly basis for the time I am investing.
3484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / My Past nine months bitcoin journey on: July 14, 2021, 02:45:07 PM
I am away from my home working in an office and it is hard to manage both work and house at the same time for me as i came late from office. So most of the time I order food online say 3-4 times in week and was happy with that until the point i realised that i was wasting lot of money on junk food. So i decided to have my future plans as i was already investing in bitcoin so i decided to reduce my weekly budget for ordering online food and decided to invest that money into bitcoin despite the prices and just go on investing till the time being. But i made a plan that every time i would add on the fixed budget of $10 extra to btc investment and from next month increased my intial investment by $10 also. For example say my weekly budget or food expenditure was $40-$50 weekly on my 3-4 order i would reduce it to half and say invest $25 weekly and next week it would be turned to $35.Along with this I was also planning to buy some gaming stuff for my time pass but i dropped that idea for the same reason and decided that i would keep on investing in bitcoin only not any other altcoin also .So this was my plan and investment was done every week.

I got bonus from my office this month for extra performance along with my paycheck so i decided to to go mile extra this time with bitcoin investment and invested another $100 from the same bonus to bitcoin investment and will make some bonus investments as I get them with my paycheck.

BONUS $100 INVESTMENT AT $43600 = BTC0.00229

I have doing this from past three months now and planning it to carry on for long time as i know that my returns will be high in long run and my wasting that money on my food items would have given me happiness and relaxation for few time but this investment at this time would be long lasting and give me pleasure and joy for lifetime. So I decided to compromise my that things for bitcoin investments as it will surely have more value in future when every other assest will be depreciated with inflation but my this investment will prove worthy at that time.

Speaking frankly I was happy at this dip as i was getting big share at small prices and they don't even matter for me because i was not into trading and my sole motive was to invest and hold for long time no matter what the prices are and will be.I have decided to follow this plan for atleast 6 months and will keep posting the updates on this thread. So i am constantly reducing my miscellaneous expenses and allocating that funds towards bitcoin and i will not panic with any price dumps and afford to loose that money(but it will not happen as i am optimistic) and will hold that coins until i need to use them.Till then my 6 months chart is on for investments  Wink

EDIT: The thread has been updated with this month DCA investments and Bonus investments made by me and will keep this in same manner.
3485  Economy / Economics / Re: Singapore, the banking industry, and Bitcoin on: July 14, 2021, 01:21:00 PM
Everyone is looking at El Salvador to be “the home” of Bitcoin, but I believe Singapore is better to be the true hub of the Bitcoin industry, with serious players.

Singapore has made a lot of effort on the technological sector. It cannot be said of El Salvador.

Singapore has clean governance, and almost zero corruption. El Salvador’s government structure might be corrupt everywhere from the bottom to the top.

Singapore’s banking industry is what made the country develop into one of the richest countries in the world. It can further develop by embracing the Bitcoin industry.

The Singapore can surely hold a special place for bitcoin in coming time as many technical projects have been at first established in Singapore in their intial days and the friendly framework of the government with less or say zero corruption. But the problem at this time for bitcoin and other cryptos is that it is still not mainstream and accepted as legal tender like in El Salvador. This year in Singapore there were around 60 Bitcoin ATM's and almost 51 businesses accepting crypto related payment and the numbers are on the verge of rising due to increase number of investors everywhere.Another reason is that El Salvador was not having any legal currency of their own and major domination was of USD and was not developed and small country but it's not the case with Singapore as it is a technical hub and Singapore dollar is already having good market value of around 74 cents higher than many nations and the economy condition is not too worsen. But soon in the coming days we could see the government having positive approach towards bitcoin and they can provide legal regulations for the same.
3486  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Tips for Trading from Beginner, For Beginners. on: July 14, 2021, 01:08:14 PM
Here are some of my addition to the list you have made :

6) Always invest what you afford to loose and don't stake your personal assets for crypto trading.

7) Before investing learn how the market works and have your research done for all the facts that could affect the price of your coins.

8)If price volatility makes your nervous sorry you are in the wrong place as here market could be 70-80% down and still holders have faith unlike your stock market.

9)The market is also full with shitcoins that you need to avoid and for that you must be aware and have knowledge of the market.

10) Always keep learning and gain experience and don't panic with loss

Rest best wishes to you man.

Its a personal choice since its a feature that someone could choose on for privacy purposes. It doesnt matter most of the time neither you do hide or showoff usernames as long you dont

make use of it that do connects on your real life names or something like that.
Yes ofcourse it's a personal choice that whether you want to show your names on that list or want to hide your identity and remain anonymous player. There is nothing wrong as Rollbit has allowed users to do the same with their 2FA security measures and after that implications most probably @Aeroh has hidden his username and who knows the actual Rollbit boss so we also don't need to worry about it.

I think this current drop is a headfake.  Big move coming, and I am betting to the upside.

 Cool

Or we slideways for months.. I dunno. But I still think the top one.
Dump and headache is temporary if we regularly monitor the candles but holding btc for long will surely bring joy and happiness.Stay strong all the holders summer is not so long and winter is coming.

We are still good and day by day the forum is already growing with new users registering daily and with growing awareness we will automatically see the stats rising. We are community who prefer to have discussions to crypto related on the dedicated forum developed by Satoshi and all the boards are separated with each distinctive topic and moderators doing their job and managing the forum in prefect manner. We all need is members who want to share their knowledge and learn from others on this forum so why we need any changes when everything is going perfectly in my opinion and this old classic version is better than any modern upgradation.
3490  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: July 13, 2021, 04:10:45 PM

I can attest to this as I have often seen people win the big price holding lower amount of tickets, and thanks to provably fair system it give smaller gamblers like me hope to win the big price. Also it’s been said since the dawn of gambling, and I’ll repeat it once more time that in the end ‘ONE’S LUCK’ plays a major factor, and if it’s your lucky day then even few tickets can do the trick.
That's the most positive fact of the probably fair system that no player nor the house have the authority to determine the outcome and here luck plays a vital role and no matter you are small gambler or whale you both have the same chance of winning and you just need to be lucky to be on that list.
3491  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you miss buying games on Steam by paying with bitcoin? on: July 13, 2021, 03:57:03 PM
Perhaps many don't know, but Steam accepted Bitcoin payments some time ago, but stopped in the same year (2017).

Do you buy Games paying with Bitcoin? Electronics, headsets, peripherals, etc. Paying with Bitcoin, LN or Altcoins?
I have personally not not buy any games with btc from steam when it was allowed although I have ordered some gaming stuffs and make other transactions in the past with my coins so not so much regret that I have not been able to do so.But on Google I found that you can buy steam wallet codes or gift cards with cryptocurrencies not directly but through some third party like cryptoreffils and you can have wallet codes with you and just buy your favourite game.

Here is the detailed information for the same: Buy games with bitcoin

Although you must have a look for yourself before jumping into any conclusions and make sure every security procedures is followed and it's legit.

Anyway, did you guys facing "Infinity Loading" on login page. Just want to try see the leaderboard but I was stuck on loading page, can't even reach login panel.
No it's working properly on my side and maybe there are some network connectivity issue on your side. The leaderboard page is opening quickly and i just noticed that positions have been shifted and now @Ayezee is at second position and he has wagered very quickly and soon his total wagered will cross $150 million just rat run with Rollbit boss now.
Everything went smoothly just now when logging in on rollbit and a few other pages so it's not really a technical problem but connectivity as you said.

@Ayezee his name has been hidden after being wagered $150 million because maybe this has reached the highest peak he better hide it so now don't know who @Ayezee is anymore, but I guess it's still a long way to beat with 3rd place so still know it's the 2nd position which will become 1st is @Ayezee.
The Rollbit boss username is hidden as he has wagered around $169 million but on second position is @Ayezee and he has not hidden his username on the leaderboard according to my search and you can see it here:

He is at second position with $151 million wagered at this moment.

Sow how could people believe that faketoshi who is claiming have 2,50,000 Bitcoins and not a single proof for that and still collecting btc by running a Ponzi scheme? How does it sound to be legit to anyone I don't know that Satoshi would be asking btc from you? So we all know some clowns who will come and say they are founder of bitcoin and same treatment should be given to them also.
3494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or playing? on: July 12, 2021, 04:29:04 PM
I am sure most of you have played videogames of one short or another and many have noticed that may offer gambling in-game options - I am thinking mostly of Role Games and MMPORGs -  like implementing a casino or some short of fortune game. As an old example, Fallout New Vegas has an in-built game called Caravans, but you can play blackjack, roulette, etc... Newer games that are free to play or cheap to play offer lotteries that award prices such as unique or rare in-game items...

There is currently quite an effort on using these techniques in games that should not be about gambling or chances playing and some people may find undesirable. Is this going too far? What type of effect may this game on underaged players?
The gaming community is enormous and we all like to play games and if this is mixed with gambling experience then it could provide a separate experience to gamblers and players and it is type of fun also like I remember when I was kid playing games on desktop was fun that could not be matched with any other thing in the world and surely now we are in gambling we can also have gambling related games but they should be age restricted so children don't get too much engaged in such games.

I can't imagine myself at number 13 and 14 and having more than thousand tickets. Dam, those too poor hidden's, they might be very upset with this draw. However, after seeing many raffles like this I am also on the conclusion where luck is "purest" here. Since this is provably fair draw one can not argue with the raffle draw system as well. Though people keep spreading negative words around the social media as to why they were not chosen after having so many ticket, they do not consider such thing exists!  Smiley
The rage is real but fun is more exciting than that.

Whenever raffle is going on, I would simply play like a normal day and for every $10 the tickets get automatically added so I always leave rest of the things on my luck. Lolz.
There is no need to put beyond what you can afford. Roobet is fun place and it always keeps giving us more than we can ask. So keep Rooing!!!!  Tongue

Congrats to all the winners!
Yes if you are lucky that day you will surely be on the winning side no matters if you have less or more tickets and same has happened here like some players have less than 1000 tickets like 334 raffle tickets and still be on the list when other along with you are having thousands of them so that player must feel lucky no doubt. This is how luck plays a vital role in gambling but as said by you always gamble with your extra funds which when lost not give you any kind of stress.

I am pleased to see that Elon regained his faith in Bitcoin.
There is no such statement or evidence which indicates that he is supporting bitcoin now.He has just agreed to talk about the bitcoin with Dorsey on that event and still pumping all the shitcoins and trying to conceive people that doge is better than btc and eth in every term.So I also don't give importance to any of his nonsense talk anymore and he has accepted the challenge to satisfy his ego nothing else and will end up losing it.

Lots of respected peeps predicting a breakout this coming week. We’ve been in a tight range for a significant time now. What do you think guys, bears on toast or a big dump?
We might see normal pumps in the market and then breakthrough in prices with nominal range of $32k-$37k and till that bears can enjoy toast but the ignition is being powered to bull run start and with next month start this barrier will be crossed and $40k levels would be crossed and bears will burn their toast so waiting for that period.

3499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Earn BNB by holding a token. on: July 11, 2021, 11:29:25 AM
I've been following a few Telegram conversations recently and I've seen a new project type that involves people hanging on to their tokens or coins and then passively earning BNB or another coin. Of course, this might be a wonderful marketing effort to get people to buy the primary token being promoted...after all, who wouldn't want to have passive income?

But, of course, we are always skeptical...do you believe that a programme like this can truly succeed and last? Or is this just another avalanche of meme token metamorphosis?
Don't ever trust these telegram conversation which are just to attract the members and once they stake their tokens you won't get anything and most probably you will loose what you have put at stake.Last time I heard was one of the projects I don't remember was offering btc if I hold their tokens and when I tried to find about them nothing conveiencing so don't trust what you listen but do your own research. You will find lot of way you can earn BNB from staking like staking them on Trust wallet or over the projects like Moonrat but it's your choice and remember it's crypto market so make your move wisely.
3500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 11, 2021, 11:10:54 AM
Gamblers don't realize they are addicted to gambling until it's worse which they've done unthinkable already like breaking the piggybank of his kid just so he could gamble again. But you as a gambler can also notice it to yourself before you get to the worse situation like selling valuables like jewelry so you could play again.
