The position for XMR is getting closer to the average price that I bought; maybe in a couple of days, it could go down in price even further. Hopefully, we could get out of this position soon, and I will probably change this pair for a more profitable one. I'm still currently looking into that.

Below are my positions at this moment.

Currently running at a great state. Hopefully, this continues overtime and longer. This feels like the right strategy to profit and stay in trading for a long time. We will never know.

150 "squid"? That's a lot.  Shocked  Cheesy
your expression made me think that squid is really expensive but you posted a real squid but what is that squid the op mean ? was it a coin and was that expensive ?
I think what he meant was quid. It's a slang term for Pound. Look at the quote below

Quid is a slang expression for the British pound sterling, or the British pound (GBP), which is the currency of the United Kingdom (U.K.). A quid is equal to 100 pence, and it is generally believed to come from the Latin phrase “quid pro quo,” which translates into "something for something," or an equal exchange for goods or services. However, the exact etymology of the word as it relates to the British pound is still uncertain.

He probably has listed an extra S and make it look like squid. Lol.

@OP - Correct me if I'm wrong, please.  Cheesy
3483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Which Is The Best P2P Exchange Now-A-Days And Why? on: December 15, 2020, 03:50:36 PM
In my experience, people in my country have limited options when it comes to buying crypto. Some people have already settled with the available companies and offer crypto at a very high rate, which makes normal users hate those companies. Imagine buying 1 BTC at 19500, but you could only convert at 18500. That's just unfair.

That's why I like Binance. The local users in my place have another choice to buy crypto with lower rates. I hope that most of them would be applicable, but Binance is currently what I know is worth it to trade on.

P.S. Some exchanges offer some kind of promotion to get you to participate in P2P
3484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of fake Telegram groups on: December 15, 2020, 03:30:51 PM
I think scammers are previous users as well that were possibly victimized by a type of scam. They might have realized that it's easy to do that instead of working hard for it, which is f*cked up. Some people force you to be into groups and automatically invites you if you haven't changed your account settings. You could get added to a spam group that you didn't want to join.

The best way is to search for settings in your Telegram and make sure you don't get added to any random group.

Kidding aside, the copy-paste code without changes is already a red flag. No matter how legit their Facebook review is and how shitty their wallet is, that plagiarism of codes definitely doesn't save the face of the actual project. Definitely a scam.
3486  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Constantly burning out my trades. What do I do to avoid this? on: December 15, 2020, 05:37:56 AM
First of all, aiming to recover losses in a short period of time is already a losing mindset. That type of mindset would cost you a lot more. Because if you chase your losses, you are going to get more of it. If you have a different type of goal, many of which fails to, it's to ensure that you aim for long-run trading, the steady growth of capital, and risk management to be successful. You have become a gambler, and you traded with your emotion.

If you behave like that, it's better to gamble and not trade because trading requires professional discipline to be successful. Emotionless is the ideal part as well.
3487  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $2000 on: December 15, 2020, 02:51:44 AM
After a couple of days, 1.7662% of change is better than rekt for sure. It's definitely not bad for a conservative approach to a strategy.

The average trading limit (invested amount per trade) is around $10 per pair. Depending on my current position, the amount of trading limit is varied for the DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging) strategy to make sure you don't go out too much on a certain pair.

Below are my current positions in the GUI

3488  Economy / Economics / Re: Need not just stimulus but usdt stimulus on: December 15, 2020, 01:15:31 AM
So basically, you want to give out free money to traders because they deserve it by trading? Isn't it that exchangers ask for fees because it's their service and it's going to be a kind of refund for the traders themselves. USDT trading is traded very much in several exchanges.

OR

You want the "printed USDT" and have a portion of it because you are still using that stable coin?

Do you have any examples being done by governments with what you are talking about? I doubt there would be crypto-related stuff, but it's possible in other ways as well.
3489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will eat Gold’s market share, according to JPMorgan on: December 15, 2020, 12:06:31 AM
I cannot verify the source info on the site you have given, but I'm curious about when they collected those inflows and outflows of BTC and Gold. After all, I'm quite concerned that many investments have been going down because people need actual money during the pandemic. It's what has happened all over the world, and everyone is affected. Those four weeks mentioned in the article didn't state when it was recorded, though.

It's definitely good news to hear that big banks like JPMorgan are predicting the future of BTC. I'm not sure if it's just shilling or not but as long as it's positive, right?

Bitcoin has high volatility which gold lacks and the mobility and convince makes it more durable and secured than gold. If the growth and adoption by different institutions continues thriving, gold wouldn't catch up with the pace at which Bitcoin is going.
IMO, it's quite harder to trade compared to BTC because almost everyone can buy BTC and Gold is different. You have to have accounts and verification etc., to be applicable to trade those assets.
3490  Other / Off-topic / Re: Betting on Horse Racing, Ethical or no ? on: December 14, 2020, 10:22:52 AM
I wasn't aware or haven't considered this part of the gambling industry between horse racing. I'm quite conflicted about this, and I think you have a couple of things you could consider in the world of gambling. If the gambling place is legal and is allowed by the government, I wouldn't feel unethical about it. It's the organizer's responsibility to take care after that and be concerned with those types of things. But after knowing and acknowledging that the unethical behind the scenes thing happens, it wouldn't be right to continue supporting these kinds of event. Since I'm into supporting the rights of animals, I would say it's unethical. I wouldn't support it.
3491  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $2000 on: December 14, 2020, 05:02:50 AM
I'm really quite concerned with my position on XMR, hopefully, there would be a big dump with that pair. It's quite far with the liquidation price and my cost averaging is put to a hault due to the max DCA that I had. Let's see in the following days.

The result so far is quite good with a couple of dollars in gain. We are keeping it in a safe and conservative way of trading.

Update on the account positions.

3492  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fury vs Joshua --- who will win? on: December 14, 2020, 01:13:10 AM
Since the fight is still in 2021, they are still up to further criticism of how they will train for it. I guess for these fights' business side, and they will probably test the waters if they can milk everyone out for their money. If that happens, I guess 1-1 would be the ideal fight, and then in 2022, they would be facing again for that. So I guess that's my view as well into their fight. Looking forward to it too.
3493  Economy / Speculation / Re: So contrary to the Cult of Hodl, apparently at highs, people don't hold? on: December 12, 2020, 04:58:07 PM
If you really have the measure into which you could count, how many people would HODL more be compared to those people who would sell when reaching near ATH and selling it at the possible top. You would know the behavior of people in general involved in the cryptocurrency space. Anyways, if you have the stash and the capability to sell some of it, why not? Aren't we all wanting to gain more from trading it? It doesn't mean ultimately that you don't support it, but we need to have some for ourselves, and people are doing that by selling coins. Don't you agree?

I wasn't aware of this metric though, thanks for sharing OP.

So what was the final result of the earlier experiment before you withdrew? It would be great if you make a chart of monthly results so people can also judge the max drawdown vs your expected and realized profits...
It was around $1430. Unfortunately, I cannot create a monthly result if it was short in time. Maybe I would get it with the experiment now, knowing that this is for the long run now. This has funds to be spent.

As for this current version, the first 3 pairs you picked are more suitable to high frequency algorithmic trading than Polka Dot (actually this might be ok, it needs more time) and Monero, good luck
I guess, the bag that I have right now is with XMR. What pairs do you think are better?

These are my current positions

3496  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks going in stable coins news its starting now on: December 11, 2020, 09:57:37 AM
Regular regulation and audit of coins are definitely one reason banks are into those kinds of coins. No matter what you do, the actions of the developers and the owners are monitored and controlled. Compared to USDT in which has a scandal about it not being backed 1:1 with USD. So it's going to be the other stable that's very regulated. They probably want assurance with that and become stable with it. Maybe banks also want to have a piece of the pie for crypto but only trust those regulated. We will never know the intention unless they are already there and broadcasted.

Let me update you guys with this thread. I'm going to do a restart of this thread. Thanks to Gunthy LTD, this is possible.

This is my current position with my Gunbot. Check the image below.

I'm using 8 pairs, and all the trading limit is a small position, so pretty far away from the liquidation price.

Can anyone suggest pairs that might be profitable? I'm going to change pairs in the coming days if the results are not that great.
3498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Drop by if you are a PayPal user on: December 10, 2020, 03:02:15 PM
Any reason to believe why you were blocked? I don't know why you are saying that PayPal is blocking user accounts for no reason at all, it's just not good business for them. Adopting crypto is a plus for them but not letting any BTC out of their wallets is weird. That's what I'm most worried about. It's all immediately being converted to fiat. Is that the experience of PayPal users here?

In our region, it's still not applied or available. They are probably testing out first and see if it's worth doing to other regions, I guess.
3499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do people understand what market cap is? on: December 10, 2020, 01:44:05 PM
In essence, you could really achieve some portion of it with whatever you like, as long as there are buyers and market makers with that kind of ability then I think it's okay. Maybe you are talking about super absurd prices that have exceeded the amount of money in the whole world. Is that what you mean? I'm making sure that you understand as well that there's a difference between the money circulating and the money that is invested in the whole world. A lot of money now is invested in either derivatives, futures, stocks, etc. and some of it exceeds the circulating money in terms of market caps.
3500  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic will bring more economic progress in long-term... on: December 10, 2020, 09:58:15 AM
The pandemic has definitely affected everyone and everything with businesses etc. Imagine being able to use the internet for holding meetings and seminars. You skip the travel times, make it easily accessible, etc. There are downsides for sure, but you would know that there are actually jobs that are still functional even in work from home setting. There are definitely different approaches developed during the pandemic, with the productivity and effectiveness increasing in value.

This could be a positive outlook for what has happened, but we can never forget those who are having a hard time during this season. It's definitely not easy, but we could just look at it positively.
