3481  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How I Almost Gave Scammers Access To My wallet This Morning. on: July 08, 2022, 06:42:46 PM
If you want to join airdrop (that I think waste of time0  )Grin

Long story cut short. Concerning airdrops on crypto tokens , at a point I concluded and also realised they are the most useless effort you can make online at least probably not in this time. In the past maybe some benefited and it was less scamming. Now they worth nothing with your time plus you risk your funds and details to claim the shit. Op you are lucky to identify the website wasn't the same and alerting the management safed more gullible free money seekers like you in the group  Grin. For long I came to know there is nothing free especially online. Be careful when you are promised something for free.

3482  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 08, 2022, 04:04:16 PM
I can't help but to agree with op that gambling is an old phenomenon known with man. Back in the bible the story is there that Jesus Christ met gamblers in the synagogue that got him angry and he throw their gambling materials away and chase them off from the synagogue. I can also believe that there are different forms of gambling in the past, crude way that it has existed to bet on either slavery, being smarter , stronger or warrior.

In the African setting, I have read books of gambling through wrestling matches by different villages contesting against one another with their warriors and strong men in the quest for land, women and other promises and gift for winners. I therefore believe that the modern kind of gambling existing now took it idea from some crude or past kind of gambling and made digital, some encrypted in blockchain. Dice game I remember has the physical or manual modalities at least in Africa setting and some other rural gambling games that have gone into casinos.
3483  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S dollar almost equal to Euro on: July 08, 2022, 02:50:12 PM
Somehow it was looking as if the increased inflation rate in US would have an adverse effect on the economy and reflecting on the dollar but this has not been so. The Biden administration has been able to strengthen the dollar against most currency paired with and I have noticed the Euro exchange rate with the dollar, now having little or no difference unlike in the past. The economic indices of the US economy is still favourable to dollar.
3484  Economy / Economics / Re: Ws and traders language food shortages aka food shorts on: July 08, 2022, 11:25:28 AM
Therefore, when economic and environmental crises come, it is an opportunity for individuals to try to be self-sufficient, especially in the countryside, and to save on expenses for individuals in cities.

because at the time of war, you don't get to save you only look for safety like Ukraine citizens are going through that as an example. Regarding to food too, planting and harvesting are not done overnight, it takes time for crops to mature, so the earlier the better.

Even in our region, where it is impossible to farm with economic feasibility, governments have begun to support agricultural projects and go to buy lands in countries that have agricultural capabilities.

This only what to do before the economic or food crises come. It is only a wise government that plans ahead of time to avoid some common disaster which are termed as human disaster that could have been savaged with proper planning .
3485  Economy / Gambling / Re: What makes you hide your bets in public? on: July 08, 2022, 10:26:56 AM
If the identity of a huge winner is known it can attract hackers into the account, this is why some prefer to keep their privacy to themselves. I don't bet high when I do though but I still don't see any reason to be in public because of the bet I stake. It is the people that like publicity that will like doing that to attract the public and fans to theirselves and social media handles, like the celebrities. We can make example of drake like that since he is a celebrity.

3487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Finding value bets on: July 07, 2022, 12:09:39 PM
The odd looks small to risk in the game of tennis.  Djokovic may not be at his best on the night while you have relied on him to win, anything can happen to turn around the performance of the champion that has low bet on. Tennis is an individual game where just an individual is expected to take his fate by his hand and not a team game that there are reserves to support a weaker or injured player.
3488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can change of environment have an effect on gambling addiction. on: July 07, 2022, 11:12:40 AM
I'm looking at the possibility of this to happen for an addict to change if relocated to another area. I think that considerably it can happen for instance if an addict moves to a location where the casino or game house is far from him, by this he would be restricted or have a kind of barrier which may gradually reduce his interest in it. Like also if he moves into seminary school or church confine area where gambling is already inherently prohibited, then he may find it difficult to indulge continuously. But to sum up, I believe change is a personal decision and not the measures used to make an individual to change. Gambling is an habit and habit is formed either gradually effortlessly or by personal conviction and that is also how it can be managed.
3489  Economy / Economics / Re: Zimbabwe resorts to gold coins as local currency tumbles on: July 07, 2022, 08:31:40 AM

Instead of adopting the US dollar as a legal tender, why not borrow a leaf from El Salvador and Central African Republic and use BTC?

I think this would have been better for Zimbabwe instead of the dollar since fiat has failed them already. The corruption that collapsed the Zimbabwean currency will also have an adverse effect on the dollar. There is alot of benefit for approval of bitcoin in Zimbabwe and one is that those Zimbabweans working out of the shores of there country can transfer money home through bitcoin and that can rejuvenate their economy through investment and hodling naturally may increase individual earnings and the currency can get back in value.
3490  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: July 06, 2022, 10:12:58 PM
But the alert thing start from whether we dey expect money at that time. Me I just want waka enter a particular example with Yahoo guys for street and the way dem dey scam people too. 3491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League has asked clubs to voluntarily end Gambling deals on: July 06, 2022, 05:45:54 PM
I think the news is harsh to the crypto industry because give or take many casinos are playing with cryptocurrency and if this voluntary ban comes into effect after 2014 and when the existing deal end for the clubs wearing casino ads. I believe the whole information is to regulate the gambling sector but this isn't going to help regulate it when casinos are not shut down. However, 14 clubs to vote for it may not be easy and propably the ban news may not be followed, before then the issue could be resolved.
3492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Take This 2 Minutes Nine Step Quiz To Access Yourself In Gambling on: July 06, 2022, 04:28:24 PM
I've admitted to were a slight feeling of stress after gambling and sometimes returning to win back what I've lost.

Although I have not taken the survey yet but this is a sign of depression. When you gamble and lose you are suppose to walk away and not to keep fighting back, having the hope of trying your luck next time makes you better but if you insist of playing back and forth just to regain your losses you can go into depression.
3493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino can play a role in changing fortune? on: July 05, 2022, 06:01:24 PM

If you are destined to live a wonderfully wealthy life, you will do that eventually. Your efforts will bear fruits. But if you are destined otherwise, you will live a very different life. Since no one knows their destiny, we all have to keep on trying.

Surely so that we can't take away the aspect of destiny in our lives and the role that luck also plays. Destiny, luck and effort are really better match. Example if he was not destined to come back and succeed, the money reinvested would have also gone with the wind. There are numerous of people that have failed after reinvesting casino winning into their business and yet didn't come out of it. It is a nice story however and his decision worked for him too.
3494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Plan B Is a CIA Agent on: July 03, 2022, 09:19:01 PM
Rather than making such confusion and allegation, I think you can state clearly what it is. Well I can't say for you or everyone but I believe after a while on bull, there will be some correction or by extension bear. If we are on bear now it may have been caused by whatever means but I don't expect that price keep pushing up without a bear season also expected. Checking the history from 2017 and 2018, is no different what is happening.
3495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why I won't be buying top altcoins in this bear market on: July 03, 2022, 04:29:36 PM

Now all market fall and it is very difficult time for all the markets. Now many people lost their assets and they do not have enough money to continue their investments.

No body should regret because it is advised to invest with money that you can avoid to lose and you are still cool with your decision. For the newbies side, you are also advised to study the system before you diving into investment. If you have only profit in mind, you will always buy wrongly, you buy coins that are just pumping but with no use.
3496  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 03, 2022, 01:21:49 PM
Looking at the position of the price on the chat at $19,227, you will still be expecting that the price will still drop down more with the way is looking but anything can happen and the price may stay there or begin the pull back. The whales are gradually buying for another direction up, like El Salvador stocking up for the future. I believe the sentiment is still for bear but this is a fluctuating levels that can not be predicted.
3497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The fear of Negative trust and Ban on: July 02, 2022, 10:16:01 PM
Newbies should rather focus on reading than posting. To avoid being ban and tagged with negative trust you just need to abide by the forum rules and also do away with cheating. When you've gathered enough knowledge I'm sure you'll be safe from anything of such.

I will add that one reason is plagiarism. This is a serious offence on the forum. It involves using other people's knowledge without making reference to them by directing the forum where the source comes from. This involves both books that have been written or bloggs, YouTube channels and other online materials should be acknowledged.
3498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Session That Lingers On Or Keep Staying On your Mind on: July 02, 2022, 05:16:40 PM
In my years of Gambling? there is never a chance that I had to keep my mind thinking ?

though there are times that i Dreamed of my gambling activities, there is also a chance that I thought it is real because we are playing our normal gambling game and I won over all my friends , but after waking up? I realized that it is just a dream lol.

You have illusion of winning always this is why you have such dream. You also probably a constant player or an addict that you now always thinking of gambling and to your dream thinking of winning. They say that if you do certain things consistently you may like have a reflection of that in your dream. A player under depression or winning will have that in dream because that is what your mind is occupied with.
3499  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Democracy in Nigeria. on: July 02, 2022, 02:37:23 PM
Nigeria
I guess its not the only corrupt country on the face of the planet. There are several countries that are corrupt out there and still they get to say very little of it. Speaking of South Sudan, Somalia, North Korea, Pakistan, Paraguay and many others. Somehow, these guys aren't very shouty about it and you wonder if they are not on the forum or aren't plagued by the menace of these corrupt practices in there nation states.

I understand at OP that, being constantly under the hit from the unjust acts and policies that emerges from the corrupt governance seems like a lot to you but in turn, what are you doing for a change. Its time again to select a new leader to head the highest office in the nation come 2023. I know its been so bad that Nigerians no longer believe in the electoral process as, its often rigged but I'll beacon on you to go get your permanent voters card (PVC), come out with the masses and vote in a peaceful election.

My friend you see many of the corrupt countries including the ones that you have mentioned still provide necessary amenities and needs for the citizens including fighting for them abroad and protecting their lives and properties at home but you and I know very well that the Nigerian government don't care about you. It is a kind of government where only families of the people in power benefit. Their families are those who get information about what is happening in government and they are the ones that can grab it. It is a kind of government that is not far reaching and so if you are not in you are totally out which is the reason everyone is trying to get into power and making the Nigerian political system one of the most expensive in the world.

Dont just vote and leave, wait till the results for your pooling unit is announced and if possible tap it and be justified that you've done your best before going about to being a good citizen of this great nation. The change is now and it starts with you!

These blood sucking demons in politics are very deadly, they find every means of rigging elections. Whoever is staying behind after casting of votes is still standing to risk their lives because they have thugs that can come to destabilise and shoot to say a few.

The right man no matter the tribe and religion na Wetin we need for the country, so out your pvc to good use e fit be the next president go adopt crypto-currency fully for Nigeria.

The talk na im you just talk so. But we all don sabi say party don fail this country and some certain people wey belong to those parties na arror heads for the collapse wey d country dey face now.

Mark my words, before 2030, law makers go try to pass bill wey go make political offices become inheritance, so that if them thief finish, their children go continue.

Chai this one really off me. Politicians and law makers are really unbelievable so if you talk like this I no go too surprise . For myself if Nigeria no scatter before that time, then dem go fix am.
