Yes, they are really aggressive when it comes to promotions and competition which do really give more emphasis or focus into this forum which they do know that they can hook up
lots of players -snip-
First sorry for abbreviating your sentence in the quote, but without punctuation it was quite hard to narrow down to the appropriate place Smiley

I would even go so far as to say that for many (crypto) online casinos, the forum here is the best way to promote the site. There are simply a lot of people meeting here who are both interested in crypto (and in most cases own some) and like to use online gambling platforms. I think the way the sites are advertised even plays a subordinate role, the target group is definitely hit very well here.

Gamblers burn their money with Long and Short liquidations
That's right, you could have even ended your sentence after "Gamblers burn their money". When you use 100x leverage you have to be aware that in 50% of the cases your stack is gone immediately. You might as well go to the casino and bet on black or red (ok, not quite).

The problem with such high leverage is simply that the bitcoin market turns way too fast. Even small recovery phases in a bear market can liquidate you very quickly, such as last week, when after the massive dump a few hours later a short recovery phase set in. Leverages originally come from trading with currency rates, which due to the very small fluctuations (0.001% per hour, for example) trading was only possible/meaningful with very high stacks. This is of course a completely different case with cryptos with fluctuations of xx% per day.

Someone who does Cut Loss is a person who is too panicked about the losses they have experienced.
-snip-
There is actually no such thing as "cut losses". A "loss" only takes place when you sell, before that it's all just book money that has been lost (but of course also gained). Only when you actually realize the loss, you talk about a loss.

Getting into the predicament of having to sell at a high loss only happens when you have either invested far too much money in the market or suddenly need the money urgently, for both of which crypto is unfortunately, as you rightly say, the wrong investment path.

Cardano 360 morgen Abend

Wink
3505  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Diskussion Airdrops on: May 25, 2021, 01:37:31 PM

3506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Withdrawal/Deposit Issues on: May 25, 2021, 01:30:03 PM
I also experienced this before in my local wallet. I don't know how they can track the transaction from a gambling site? They suddenly freeze my account and emailed me about this issue.
-snip-
To put it simply, a plain address mapping can be used to find out, for example, which transactions were carried out from an exchange or, as in this case, from a gambling platform. The fact that many gambling platforms always use the same blockchain address for payouts is used here; this address can be blacklisted and deposits from this address (or several, if the gambling site uses several) can be blocked.

If I am not mistaken, AML also considers gambling funds questionable.
That's not quite true, no. AML does not make more precise definitions of how "dangerous" certain sources of money are, but still explicitly highlights that online gambling can also be used to launder money. Therefore, apart from AML, there are already some measures in place to limit money laundering as much as possible:

Quote
The U.S. Bank Privacy Act (BSA) has some regulatory requirements for the gaming and gambling industry, including:

  • Creation of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) when at least $ 5,000 suspicious transactions are carried out
  • Creating Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) in cash inflows and outflows in excess of $ 10,000
  • Application of the most suitable AML compliance programs within the casino
  • Keeping track of customers' debts or loans, such as credit extensions over $ 10,000, and keeping those records for up to five years

Source

Of course, an exchange could now invoke this and block deposits from gambling sites. But why an exchange should prevent withdrawals to a gambling site is beyond me.
3508  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many got REKT :( on: May 25, 2021, 04:14:19 AM
In my opinion, greed is the most influencing in situations like this. especially for beginners who have reduced their asset value, of course, they are in a dilemma between being held or sold. I think we have to have firm action to get through it, because every thing we do, of course, there are risks
I think it is not only about greed but also about lack of experience. I could observe this last week with one of my friends:

Bitcoin dropped 5%, dropped 10%, dropped 20% and my friend gets more and more nervous and makes self-accusations like "I should have sold right away, I'm so stupid". Bitcoin then dropped another 5% and he presses the "sell" button in panic, of course at the absolute bottom and the price turns back up shortly after. What does my friend do? In panic get back in, because Bitcoin could now rise again to 100k ...

I don't know how many dollars he lost that day, but in my opinion it shows quite nicely what can drive inexperienced investors to "buy high, sell low".

But according to the EU GDPR rules, it should be deleted and we have the right to request a deletion, once they will refuse, they will I guess have a fine from the said regulatory. So think it over before you will submit your documents upon fulfilling KYC.

The GDPR has nothing to do with AML5 (which is where the KYC requirement for Exchanges comes from, for example). Simply put, if you operate a company that holds money or crypto currencies for other people in any way, you must comply with AML to avoid losing your license or incurring severe penalties:

Quote
The 5th Anti-Money Laundering Directive also extends the scope of money laundering law to include cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ripple. Specifically, operators of platforms through which cryptocurrencies are traded and providers of wallets for cryptocurrencies will be obligated to abide by money laundering laws. They are thus subject to the requirements of money laundering law and in particular the KYC obligations.

Source

However, AML5 also states that KYC data must be stored for 7 years and submitted if required, e.g. if a customer of the exchange/platform is under investigation for suspected money laundering. Thus, you cannot have this data deleted.

A brand new user promoting a new project with his first post?

I would be interested to know why you find the project so "neat"? What are the merits of the project in your opinion? I didn't see anything now on a quick first look that would make the project/website so unique?

The documentation and tutorials are still completely "under development", so even if you would like to get to know the site better you can hardly find any information about it ...

3511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Withdrawal/Deposit Issues on: May 24, 2021, 05:16:56 AM
I hardly doubt that exchanges would ban transactions to gambling sites since they aren't even government-controlled in the first place, why would they even care.
I see it exactly the same way, why should they? The exchange is not responsible for where the user transfers their coins to, nor is transferring an amount to a gambling site illegal. So I am 100% sure that this is a misunderstanding.
What I could well imagine though is that the exchange does not allow withdrawals to old BTC addresses and only allows segwit addresses for example. However, some gambling sites still use old BTC addresses.

Without an exact information of the support why the withdrawal was held back we will not find a solution here and can only speculate.

Anyway, whales is still playing in the market but hopefully to see some sign of life right before the end of the month, we are still not sure if the price of Bitcoin can go back to the price of $50k again, or we will continue this bear trend.
For all those who have been in the market for a while, this is absolutely not a new situation now. This was already the case in 2013, it was also the case in 2017 (e.g. the BCH "attack") and now it is happening again in 2021.  However, one thing was the case in 2013 and 2017, which I am hoping for again now ... a massive last "leg up":

Of course, the market sentiment is different now, for example, there are many more institutions on board. Nevertheless, I believe that we may see a repeat of the market patterns of 2013 and 2017.
3513  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: May 23, 2021, 07:30:21 PM

The trust you give to these centralized platforms are mind boggling. Have you not read anything about leakage of customer information from supposedly "trusted" or "reputable" sites? Does Ledger ring a bell?
This is exactly what I highlighted in some of my earlier posts. Roobet isn't impenetrable or anything. Hackers were able to hack way bigger sites like FB, Binance etc.
This is exactly the point that makes KYC so dangerous to me, no one can guarantee you that your data won't be stolen or like in the 2017 ICO era where every airdrop required KYC, simply resold without anyone ever knowing about it. This data is unfortunately worth a lot of money, especially scanned passports or other identification documents.

With KYC Level 1 (name + address) as with Roobet, however, I have fewer concerns, this is basically data that, for example, here in my country everyone is allowed to see for free.
3515  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Was haltet Ihr von ADA Cardano ?! Potential oder Shitcoin ?! on: May 22, 2021, 03:01:45 PM
Also gibt es aktuell irgendeine Anwendung dafür?
-snip-

3516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the martingale system sucks! (doubling down on losses) on: May 22, 2021, 05:59:52 AM
-snip-
Because I see everyone blaming martingale, but no one indicates a better method to be used.
This has a very simple background: There is no strategy that is always successful in every situation. If there were, then there would be no more casinos because of course everyone uses the strategy and the casinos would be bankrupt in no time.

In the end, it always comes down to the fact that you can't beat the house (the so-called house edge). Some days you go home with profits, many others not. The more you play, the closer your win <-> loss ratio gets to the House Edge (which is eg. 1%).

Martingale works well in some situations, but only takes advantage of the effect that, for example, 7 blacks in a row is very unlikely (but still happens, of course).
Why 7? Imagine you are playing with a 5 dollar bet. If you were unlucky enough to get black 6 times in a row, but you bet on red, you would have to bet almost $60,000 on the 7th game to make up for the loss. You would need a huge stack to accomplish that ...
3517  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 21, 2021, 06:17:01 PM
-snip-
The question that may need to be answered, why do we not have the option to delete KYC document if we no longer use a gambling site?
This would require a more detailed knowledge of the regulations. Here in Europe, KYC documents (and trading activities, for example) must be stored for 7 years so that the data is still available in the event of a crime. In this case, you do not have the right to insist on the deletion of your data.

I assume, however, that such regulations are very similar worldwide and will therefore also apply to Roobet in a similar form. The only possibility as an end user if you do not want this is not to use the offered service (exchange, gambling platform, ...) and to switch to alternatives that do not require KYC.

That's what it is now but has it always been that way? It wasn't added recently?
KYC Level 1 has only been mandatory for a relatively short time, discussions about it started here in the thread around mid-April:

Any one of you guys noticed that KYC is now mandatory? The identity confirmation suddenly popped up today after I refreshed the page.

No official announcement from Roobet it seems.

So I wouldn't assume that it was already in the terms of use. Unfortunately, only someone from the Roobet team could answer that. If you read on from the quote you will also find tips that you could enter fake data to withdraw your coins, but I would definitely not recommend that, because Roobet verifies the data for sure, especially when it comes to larger amounts!
3519  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 21, 2021, 06:33:47 AM
I logged in to my account after a while and was greeted with level 1 verification. What would happen to my deposited funds if I don't complete that? Forfeited?
Unfortunately, this is a "dialog" that you can't click away to stay on the page, so you can't get into the menu to do the withdraw yourself.

Since the verification was only introduced after your deposit, I would contact the support directly in your place, they can certainly help you. Due to the fact you can't reach the live chat on the site, I would try it directly via the support email address (at least it worked last year for me, I hope it is still active): support@roobet.com

Stable coins are not stable when crypto market is plummetting or soaring. They are not stable if fiat currencies are in troubles, hyperinflation.
-snip-
Exactly, I see it the same way. I therefore also find the term "stablecoin" very misleading, especially for newcomers to the market. It is and remains a coin that is also controlled by supply and demand. If huge amounts of stablecoins are thrown onto the market, their price will fall just as rapidly as that of Bitcoin, for example. This could be observed 2 days ago:

Source

The "stable" here simply means that the coin fluctuates much less (strongly) in the course of the day but even with Tether, for example, you are not immune to collapses.
