3501  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if there is no captitulation? on: September 04, 2014, 02:15:11 PM
^Sure, theoretically one could start with a sow's ear and turn it into a silk purse.  One could also make stone soup.

Do I need to explain why couture purse makers aren't driving up the price of sow's ears, and why five-star restaurants don't buy stones by the truckfull?

*If you don't understand how purses are made, it's smarter not to lecture on purses.  Same with soup.  Same with Bitcoin.

still this has nothing to do with the topic...

anyway...most people don't consider the confirmation time as a problem...maybe it's not for the fast buy yet...but we will get there one way or another...in every other case it's faster than fiat or bank transfer

...
-slow confirmations ... still MUCH faster than a bank transfer...also there is a lot of money in silicon valley to solve problems like this
...

You bring it up--I correct you, that's all.

Re. fiat confirm time:  I don't do bank transfers to buy gas, a cup of coffee or a pack of smokes--there are fiat alternatives Smiley  I use cash and CC.  Always assumed everyone was familiar with those IRL game mechanics.

Stop trying to paint Bitcoin as the solution to everything.
It isn't the answer to meatspace microtransactions.  It also doesn't unclog toilets, or make your kids dance while it makes you money--but it doesn't have to.

It also doesn't need pimping or hype.

Fastcoin has 12second blocks...

3503  Economy / Speculation / Re: If BTC doesn't go below $440, prepare for liftoff on: September 04, 2014, 01:46:24 PM
I'd say I'd be a massive buyer come Jan 1st but truth be told.. I just never stop buying..  I love me some bitcoins!!  Also doge and peercoins too!  Peer as the blockchain is soooo small I think it will be a large advantage, doge because well it's fun.  Me bitcoins and litcoins are for storing wealth.  I am actually gonna print off like 100 dogecoin wallets and start giving out 100 doge to a bunch of people at the mall.

IMO the next peek will be MUCH higher than most are expecting IMO 20k, but it will take a lot longer before it even starts.  IMO we might be in a year and a bit of fallin phase :O.

3512  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Latest miners? What are you using? What's good? What to stay away from? on: September 03, 2014, 10:27:35 PM
Go go Ontario!! :O lol.  Also, bitmaintech.com or rockminer.com  bought from both, all worked, quick delivery. Still working actually, 4 S1's, 2 S3's, 1 Rbox.

I would recommend buying a bunch of BTC ATM though, perhaps a 70 BTC /30 Mining mix.

Jjjjjoulecoin!!

Question.. I keep getting kicked of e-pool(only once ever few days for a few hours but still.. I don't like the fact the total hash rate drops.. I LA DEFEND DOUBLE SPEND).. like it seems to stop working.. This happend at a lot of different pools I've mined at for this coin.  Is it just the pools or something else?

For the technical side you should talk to John, but as far as I can see the coin is fine.

Isn't it possible to have a backup pool ? If one goes down you then automatically mine at the other pool.

It jumps to my other pool(for bitcoin), I've though about putting my Rbox on one pool and my Ant an E-pool lol.  I probably will soon.

3517  Economy / Speculation / Re: Serious question. Who SELLS at this level? on: September 03, 2014, 07:15:56 PM
I actually beleive there a lot of players who are buying, they are buying in small amounts so not to move the price up too much. They are long term investors or even bankers. So, I am not at all worried by the current "low" prices.

Smart cats that control the media, spread FUD for years and buy buy buy buy at a slow undetectable pace then.. BBBBAMZO.. with something like this we might see 1000% gains in a day..  7 billion... several people earn this in 1 year..

IMO at the next mining half the rich will strike.
3518  Economy / Speculation / Re: Serious question. Who SELLS at this level? on: September 03, 2014, 07:08:03 PM
everyone is selling if you don't do it you will lose everything after the final capitulation

You keep saying that.. I don't think the word means what you think it does.
3519  Other / Off-topic / Re: Capitulation incoming with Silver? on: September 03, 2014, 07:06:13 PM
Silver price is still very depressed at more than 80% off its all time peaked.

Unless deflationary collapse hit, the price will need to go higher to adjust for inflation (labor, and capital cost).

They can just pump out silver paper though...  If the fractional game on gold and silver is ever stopped.. my god the price of those metals.
3520  Other / Off-topic / Re: Celeb Nudes leaked (sold for bitcoin?) on: September 03, 2014, 07:02:16 PM
now that the FBI is in the equation, i have to ask: if non-celebrities had their accounts hacked, would the FBI even care? i don't think so. so in that case, what makes celebrities so much more important?

Money, we don't have any so no one gives a single F about us, NOW GET BACK IN LINE BOY OR I'LL FILL YOU FULL OF LEAD.  WHAT WAS THAT YOU SAID?!?! GET HIM!! BEAT THAT MAN DOWN..  suchs to be a bottom level serf.
