3501  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden is President of the United States of America on: January 26, 2021, 06:18:06 AM

Why does the most popular president have so many down-votes?

He's not the most popular president.  Also, 22,000 downvotes don't mean much with 640,000 views 306 electoral votes and 81,000,000 votes from Americans to be president.
It means something if there is only 4k upvotes.

I have to address this.

While it appears that Tash has simply been tricked into eating dogshit for the 301st time in a row, avoiding having to admit how wrong he was about the White House video by shifting the discussion to downvotes, there's actually more to it than that.

His original comment was just this:

Biden seems like he lost control already
https://www.bitchute.com/video/8wKaqSMMWtab/?fbclid

He later edited it to include all this:

Biden seems like he lost control already
https://www.bitchute.com/video/8wKaqSMMWtab/?fbclid
This is official White House YouTube channel (Edit: Emergency repair has been done now)
https://youtu.be/Ec3mkoSWf0A?t=4596

For anyone wondering what it is.
It is Hunter Biden voice audio accidentally overplayed Biden speech. He states he took a plea bargain, a bird singing like a canary…
Everyone’s seat belt fastened?

A reminder to anyone who cares about reality:

- there's no proof that's Hunter Biden's voice
- Tash lied about the WH video being "repaired."

The voice likely belongs to Xavier Becerra, who is the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. As the Attorney General of California, he sued the Trump administration 62 times. Notice how Biden says his name right before the voiceover begins.

You can see what Becerra looks like and hear his voice starting at about 1:42 here:

https://news.yahoo.com/california-launches-civil-rights-probe-020500819.html

It was obviously some kind of technical accident, which is why they ignored it.

Left hand on upside down book bible lookalike is this sworn in.
When you sworn in to the purse, hand is avoiding the bilble at all cost.

My guess is that Harris wants to avoid a trip to the hospital for burns resulting from touching a bible.

My guess is you are both too stupid to realize she was actually putting her hand on a second bible.

https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2021/jan/22/facebook-posts/kamala-harris-was-sworn-stack-bibles-not-clutch-pu/

Quote
Harris requested the second Bible prior to Inauguration Day. It belonged to Thurgood Marshall, a former Supreme Court justice who as a civil-rights lawyer argued groundbreaking cases like Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka and Shelley v. Kraemer. In her memoir, Harris called Marshall "one of my heroes and inspirations."

NEW POLL: HOW OLD IS R0ACH?

Generation X

Roach is about as old as Edward Norton, and coincidentally thought American History X was a glorified biopic about himself after finishing only the first half of it.

  • In 1993, Roach saw Schindler's List with his first date, telling her they were going to see a comedy. He hasn't talked to a woman since.
  • In 2005, Roach got his first social media engineering job, trolling people on Myspace who were confused about how Tom ended up on their Friends list, for a competitor. That competitor's name was Mark Zuckerberg.
  • As his troll skills increased, Roach got offered jobs from more traditional employers, such as the Royalty of Saudi Arabia, this time trolling people into selling stocks and pressuring them to buy gold and silver instead.
  • After a long and largely unsuccessful stint as a covert ultranationalist militia recruiter on the Bitcointalk forum, Roach got his best gig ever as a multi-platform coronavirus denier, paid secretly by Big Pharma to encourage the spread of COVID and thus need for vaccines.
  • Unfortunately, Roach passed away only 8 days into his new job. He was beaten to death at a Proud Boy rally, whose participants had mistaken him as a FBI plant. He was diagnosed with COVID post mortem and his death was marked as COVID-related.

RIP Roach.
3504  Other / Politics & Society / Republicans fracturing into 3 different factions on: January 26, 2021, 02:14:31 AM
Instead of Republicans, we'll soon have:

1. MAGA Party (QAnoners, Evangelicals, Trump's business partners)
2. Establishment GOP (McConnell, Graham, Inhofe)
3. Proud Boys Nationalist Party (plus Boogaloo Boys who don't shave or wear Hawaiian shirts)

And they all hate each other.

Sacramento GOP reverses course, demands resignation of Proud Boy member

The member of the Proud Boys elected to Sacramento County’s Republican Party Central Committee has been told by GOP officials to resign his post or face expulsion.

Jeffrey Erik Perrine, whose election to the committee post was revealed Monday in The Sacramento Bee, says he was told by country GOP Chairwoman Betsy Mahan after the story was published that he had to resign because he had not sufficiently disavowed past statements he has made regarding immigration and other issues.

“They’re not even willing to allow me to be in the party because I’m a Proud Boy,” Perrine said in an interview with The Bee. “Betsy and the executive committee emailed me and immediately demanded my resignation.”

Nobody mentioned how pissed the Proud Boys were about being completely dissed by their leader, Trump.

Trump left them, the GOP is leaving them. The Proud Boy movement is doomed to be a relic, kind of like the fossils of a racist dinosaur. Let us savor their tears as they slowly return to lives of mediocrity, having to hide idiotic tattoos at future job interviews, forever unable to understand why nobody actually likes them.

From one of their Telegram channels that recently lost a lot of members (yes, I've been having some good laughs at their expense for a while now)... a tale of grief in five stages:

I. Denial

II. Anger

III. Bargaining

IV. Depression

V. Acceptance?

Speaking of that, one of the now-famous retards that broke into the capitol is hosting a fundraiser for his legal fees, so if you guys feel like contributing to that, feel free.

"I committed a federal crime and for some reason I have to get a lawyer and go to court about it. Send me money."

LOL!

What a time to be alive!

I could have said to all of them "have fun staying poor". I didn't, although they fully deserve it.

Yeah, probably not the smartest thing to say to your boss or coworkers.
3506  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos please sMerit 1:1 on: January 25, 2021, 05:21:45 AM
I have a compromise: make merit divisible by eight decimal places.

That way we can send 0.00000001 merits at a time.

And voila, merit is no longer scarce.

 Grin

Might as well take it all the way, let people mine merit transactions and earn micromerit fees by adding blocks to the meritchain.

What he didn't expand on is where that 71 base pair sequence came from, how long has it been around, did it get from a common mouse virus into SARS-CoV-2 in a fucking bat cave in Yunan??

Its been there for billions of years already and was incorporated into the human genome along the way. Is National Geographic also MSM/Prada/Chinese commie propaganda?

The Lurker: How A Virus Hid In Our Genome For Six Million Years

PUBLISHED MAY 10, 2013

...
Scientists have studied these so-called endogenous retroviruses both in humans and in other species, and the evidence all points to the same scenario for how they genetically merged with us. Our ancestors were infected with retroviruses on a regular basis. On rare occasion, a virus infected a sperm or egg and managed to end up in an embryo. Every new cell in the embryo inherited the retrovirus DNA implanted in its genome. And then the embryo grew up into an adult, which then had offspring of its own, and passed the virus DNA on as well.

At first, the virus still retained some of its old powers. Its DNA could sometimes still give rise to new viruses. Mutations arose in the viral genes, and they might prevent it from making shells. Yet the dying virus could still make a new copy of its genes and insert them back into its host genome...

Eventually, however, the endogenous retroviruses got so hobbled by mutations that they became nothing more than baggage. (In some cases, we’ve domesticated their genes, co-opting them for our own functions, such as building a placenta.) Given that many matching endogenous retroviruses can be found in other primates, this process has been going on for millions of years–even tens of millions.

tl;dr ... definitely genetically-engineered for human host targets, 71 base pairs is next to zero chance for natural random mutations

Wrong.

First of all, the human genome contains 3 billion base pairs. So 71 base pairs is about 0.00002367% of all human DNA. At some point in evolution coronavirus DNA worked itself into DNA that would go on to become human DNA, and some of that matches COVID-19 DNA. This happens all the time. An entire 8% of the human genome consists of ancient viruses, with up to 40% thought to be viral in origin.

25% of human nervous system DNA is shared with sponges.

Starting to look pretty lopsided. Should have gone with my gut and put the bet in for TB last night. Instead I woke up and plopped in front of the TV right as kickoff was happening. If you're a GB fan, nows a perfect time to get some great odds on their favored outcome for this game, lol. Actually now they just got an interception... it might end up being a close game after all.

A couple hours before kickoff and the Bills are @2.35 to win.

I appreciate your 25% off my initial deposit offer and while it is better than nothing, everyone here agrees that this is not the right compensation.

When you say these kinds of things you let everyone know you don't actually have any respect for the reality of the situation and will say anything to further your case. I'm surprised they offered you anything at all, and you should take their offer, which you didn't say if you accepted or not.

nutildah missed an important point for you: most imposters try to impersonate higher-ranked members with a new (newbie) account. Whenever someone like that PMs you, you'll see this at the top of their message:

Quote
!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!

I'd steer clear of any accounts like that if you still want to trade coins on this forum.

I'm willing to bet their conversation happened over Telegram, and the scammer deleted the conversation before OP had a chance to screenshot it, which is why he never posted the screenshots.

It didn't occur to me I should register my name on Telegram before a scammer takes it -- until after it was too late.
3514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BEST GAMBLING MOVIES OF ALL TIME on: January 24, 2021, 04:04:40 AM
I really like Martin Scorsese's films. He makes good films about gangsters and criminals. So I think this should be one of his films. "Casino" (1995)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casino_(1995_film)

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. If you don't mind enduring some real degeneracy, I recommend Bad Lieutenant with Harvey Keitel... it's a rough film about a crooked cop who goes way too far in the hole to a bookie, gets addicted to drugs, etc. It's a real uplifting film! Lol.

Which brings me to one of my recent favorites of the last couple years which is Uncut Gems with Adam Sandler. If you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend it! Another movie about a degenerate gambler which can be painful at times, yet its still a fantastic flick.

I like the Bills Smiley But you will get them above 3 inplay I think.

Do you still like the Bills knowing Mahomes is starting tomorrow? I dunno man. It sounds like there's a chance he may not run as much due to a toe injury, but even still, I just don't see the Bills winning here, even given the fact they have been pretty on fire.

I'm leaning toward putting in a bet on Tampa Bay; probably will go with +2.5 or +3 to play it safe. Rodgers is gonna be hungry for one more Super Bowl, but so is Tom, and Tom is just a devastating force when crunchtime rolls around. Antonio Brown playing would certainly bolster their case but I've heard conflicting reports about that... last I heard he was Questionable.

Also, I just went back and analyzed what everyone had to say so far:

1. nutildah (Legendary Member) said: "Honoring the "incorrect" odds would be the noble thing for FortuneJack to do."

You took my words out of context. What I said was this:

On one hand, honoring the "incorrect" odds would be the noble thing for FortuneJack to do.

On the other hand, they're going to point to potentially multiple clauses in the sportsbook terms and conditions that says they reserve the right to do exactly that.

So in my opinion, it's probably best just to move on. Casinos pointing to their terms and conditions as an excuse to not have to pay somebody out is the norm... probably won't be bucked in that regard.

You ignored the other 2/3 of the point that I was making, which is they don't have to pay out your bet so they're not going to and it's best to move on. I'm not trying to defend FJ, just letting you know they probably won't change their minds. If I were you I just wouldn't play there anymore.
3517  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: My Paypal for your BTC Exchange on: January 23, 2021, 08:03:08 PM
I've only participated in ICO's in the general sense that I bought into I think 1 ico (Ie. Sent eth in return for their coin) , I can go back and look it up but I don't remember. And most airdrops. It was during the time when everyone was spamming airdrops on ethereum and I filled out google doc submissions left and right. I have nothing to do with any promotion, hiring, not sponsoring of any product. Someone had stolen my second account on here, I made 2 bitcointalk accounts to sign up to more airdrops. Scummy, yes, but it's what I did. As far as I know, this is a huge mixup, and I am in no way correlated with the person behind mashort.  I have pages of sales from users here, like I said, I think at some point someone would've said something.

But what I want to know is when did the mashort account leave your control? Just about every post it ever made is ICO-related.

I just came back because of how increasingly difficult it is to obtain btc without levels of kyc, especially when you live in a backwards state. I tried shape shift but the website doesn't work or is buggy :/

I do understand that. You might also try KuCoin, they are pretty lenient when it comes to KYC but you'll have to pay a premium on fiat deposits.

Unfortunately since you never posted a BTC address with either account apparently, there's nothing to verify in terms of account ownership, unless you can sign a message from the Ethereum address. FWIW I'm inclined to believe you but I wouldn't deal with you until more concrete proof is provided you are the original owner of your account. Hope that somewhat makes sense.
3518  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 23, 2021, 12:25:30 PM
You've listed the users he is "trusted by" -- not users he has trusted (added to his trust list). So if you want to judge the judgment of this person then you'll need to do it by something else... preferably his own trust list or trust ratings.
I thought it was pretty obvious that it was about "sockpuppets" since I only posted part of the bbcode. In addition, I did not say that the presented list "Trusted by" reflects my opinion in matters of judgment, the last sentence [cursive] is a kind of additional comment based on personal observations.

I didn't find it obvious, possibly because you said your complaint "is related to the judgment of this person" and then proceeded to list users who trust this user, which isn't necessarily indicative of Bubbalex's ability to use the trust system.

As far as the sockpuppeting allegations are concerned, did you ever follow up with Loyce's advice last time around?

If someone got voted into DT1 by using sockpuppets, you should open a topic with evidence in Meta.

I'm open to the possibility that I'm wrong but I'm just having a hard time understanding what you're saying here:

For those concerned, I do not own that account anymore. Some else took my account (through some scam) and sold it unfortunately. Long story short, I was on another forum called Leak.sx(Leak Forums at the time) and some user managed to gain control of that account. They probably didn't even bother changing anything. I am in no way affiliated with them. Needless to say, I am willing to use escrow. I've been here since forever, you can check my sales threads from before and my affiliation with multiple other forums. As well as I've only participated in ICO's never created any of them. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate. I can also prove that I am the sole and only owner of that eth address as you can follow the chain from that address to my current address. I came back after not using bitcointalk because I find it really hard to get BTC without excessive identification.

Final Edit: Also my this account was made wayyyy before that one, and my topics predate that accounts topics.

Final Final Edit: I tried doing forgot pass on my old emails to no avail unless I'm missing something but if a moderator or admin can somehow facilitate the email/IP Addresses/Geo Location of that account I can prove I once owned it but not anymore.

So, that account (mashort) was yours at one point and then fell into the hands of a scammer? That account first posted in October 2017 and by November it was posting Altcoin ANNs... and it posted ANN promotional material up until the very end. You never created an ICO but you were hired to promote them? Not saying there's anything wrong with that, but you just said you've only ever participated in them, so I'm wondering at about what point your account was taken from you.
