Seems like a nice Idea, you also have to print the public address on the front, so one can check if there are really BTC in it.

3505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time for some good news, BTC Userbase (Full Nodes) grows again. on: October 11, 2012, 07:36:08 PM
Hey, don't destroy this for me.

I'm sure our userbase grows again.
3506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Time for some good news, BTC Userbase (Full Nodes) grows again. on: October 11, 2012, 07:23:48 PM
With all the drama going on here, I'm happy to say that the Number of full nodes (which is probably the best indicator for BTC users) shows a constant grow for the first time in over a year:

Finally

3509  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Quick, answer! Is BTC 0.000152 big or small? on: October 11, 2012, 06:56:13 PM
The capacity of 1 Farad is so large that all involved in electronics get accustomed to use microFarads and nanoFarads. No problem.

Very good example, nobody is talking about Farad in electronics and everyone is just totally used to microFarads so that is normal.

Another good example is Bell, nobody used Bell because its just to huge, Decibel is the "normal" unit.

No need for explaining.
3511  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Thoughts on Pyramining? on: October 10, 2012, 09:38:45 PM
I invest very few bitcoins,  is a way to outsource mining power. I have not the technology nor the knowlege and time to do it myself or get into a pool.

You can get into it with a 10% bonus if you use a referral link, or a 5% without it, if you decide to generate your own piramyd. If you find referrals such bonus grows, that´s why there is so much link spamming here   Wink. How much bonus grows? It depends on how much your referrals deposit. You can also be your own referral.

It seems to be a good entrepreneur idea Cheesy

To clarify this, you get 10% of you reveals deposit (needs to be mined of course). So for every 1BTC deposited you get 0.1BTC the %Bonus than depends on your initial deposit and is not a fixed amount.

Also creating your own pyramid is no longer possible.

3514  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer: Dank on: October 10, 2012, 07:08:34 PM
I got a cheap laugh out of it, just wow, this forum is hitting new lows every day!

I'm curious now who was the first to get a scammer-tag?  Surely it meant something back then.

Maybe this guy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=11905 ?

Back when the Scammer tag actually meant the person scammed you out of money Tongue

Also it's really funny that the person who he scammed stole about 5000 BTC and will probably get a scammer tag soon. So he got a scammer tag for scamming a scammer.
3515  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer: Dank on: October 10, 2012, 06:45:34 PM
Scammer tags for everyone, just for the fun of it.

Yeey!

(Come on, this whole thread is just silly from the beginning)

3516  Economy / Lending / Re: Seeking a 10,000 BTC Loan on: October 10, 2012, 06:25:07 PM
How would the lender make more money with this loan than buying the hardware themselves?
What will you do if the bfl bubble bursts and you have given 10k which is not yours to them, how will you pay back then?
Why is it relavent that you are a -good- video game player?
How are you the best miner in the world? What makes you better than others?
There is no need to 'pick stocks', as you will not be buying any, just letting other buy them.
What interest are you offering?
Do you have a grammar problem?
How are you going to 'mine every coin out there before you'?

Seriously?
You want 10k BTC and don't expect questions to be asked?
Seriously?

3517  Economy / Lending / Re: How much for a loan (600BTC)? on: October 10, 2012, 06:17:06 PM
ElectricMucus, capn noe is one of the few people offering real world products for BTC.

If you would look in his thread you see that he is someone who just resently dicoffered Bitcoin and is already hooked.

If you look in the thread in the sig. You can see pics and the homepage of his real world company which has already sold products ordered through this forum.

The worth of this company is definitely worth more than 6000$, so there is at least reason to believe it legit.

The matter of safety and scam probability should be discussed before actually giving a loan, but just attacking anyone on sight isn't helping.
3518  Economy / Lending / Re: How much for a loan (600BTC)? on: October 10, 2012, 05:04:56 PM
But I don't think you find a competitive loan here. Bitcoiners are still used to ridiculous rates from various scams.

2) I lend out my BTC and get back LESS of them.  I end up with LESS BTC at the higher value.

Not if you just use BTC as transfer medium of value as I proposed.
Yep, using BTC only as transfer medium for the value.

Meaning:

  • 1. The Lender buy bitcoin worth 6000$ and transfers them
  • 2. The reciever sells them, as he need $
  • 3. To payback he buys bitcoin worth of 6000$ + interest
  • 4. Lender has made a profit

This way both partys are protected from voltarity.

This also makes global loaning easier.
3519  Economy / Lending / Re: How much for a loan (600BTC)? on: October 10, 2012, 03:38:29 PM
Yep, using BTC only as transfer medium for the value.

I think that's a nice experiment.

But I don't think you find a competitive loan here. Bitcoiners are still used to ridiculous rates from various scams.

I only know it from Germany, but there are portals where private persons give credits to private persons at usually much more competitive rates than banks.

https://www.auxmoney.com is a good one and has already >400.000 People(user accounts) in it.

I think there are platforms like this in the US as well.
3520  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MPOE-PR MPEX Representative Instigating FUD and Pedaling Illegal Immoral Service on: October 10, 2012, 02:10:26 PM
It's CONsolidated Bankers Against Digital Bitcoin Obsessed Youth (CON-BADBOY)

How can I join them? Or is that one of the groups that find you?

Back to topic:

MPOE-PR might be trolling every competitive thread and is insulting every user that doesn't share his/her believes.

But to take care of that we already have a solution, its called a Ignore button (I for myself find MPOE-PR entertaining as hell, and will never ignore him/her)

The scammer tag is to easily spot people that purposely caused financial damage to other people.

I can't see that in any of MPOEs actions.

Edit: I'm really looking forward to the next few days in this thread. They will probably be very amusing.
