3501  Economy / Economics / Re: Lives vs Economy -- sad truth on: July 14, 2020, 08:29:17 AM
Almost 6 months proven that our world has covered by darkness due to pandemic reaction, and the other side, have unity with good dealings. So our view in life begins with a shadow fighting for corona to conquer or recover to push, even an incomplete barrier I believe that we are all can afford to drive the economy to win.

That's already long, but it seems we are already slowly adopting with the new normal, the economy struggle but it's just normal due to the situation we are at now, what I'm happy to see is that we are surviving, this is the world fighting together the covid-19 which until now no vaccine was found yet.

But then, it should not stop us from longing as eventually that vaccine will be discovered and release.
3502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: July 14, 2020, 07:37:28 AM
No matter what kind of game it is, as long as it is played outdoors, it will still be better for everyone to follow the health protocols.
It's compulsory, those who don't follow has to be arrested, there should be a law like that as that would create a big trouble when they get infected or they can infect people.

Still, be strict in enforcing restrictions so that no one is infected with the virus. Please do not allow the virus to spread and increase the number of deaths due to the virus.

It is still better to gamble indoors until now. There are also other online sports betting sites that have returned to operation.

Sports betting operation has never close as there are games that are still played even at this time, and we also have esports who gets more popular during this time, and now that the major sports will resume especially the NBA, I guess we will all enjoy betting and watching them live on TV once again.
3503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: July 13, 2020, 06:43:05 AM
Just checked mine. Yeah, it doubled in red.   Undecided
Lucky winner.
I am at −0.00096167 now and I think this will be more difficult to go back to green.
Sad for other investors who have a higher portion. I hope we could get it all back even if it takes time.  Wink

All you have to hope is that the lucky winner comes back and plays again. Cheesy
No seriously, the players normally come back feeling lucky, play again, chase and lose.

This could be true because greed is something which brings back people to play and make more money. And if person who had won it cannot control the emotions would come back to play and now possibly with bigger amount as has got big profits and try the luck. Seeing many investors have lost all their profits and now sitting on loses. It will recover but may just need to have patience form now on.

Just simplify everything when investing, just consider that it's just a cycle but in the long run it's always the house who will win.
Whether they are greedy or discipline, or they are lucky or not, what matters is the house edge that the casino has, so that negative profit is not gonna stay forever.
3504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Happens To The Altcoins If Bitcoin Drops Strong? on: July 10, 2020, 02:17:18 PM
It will dump stronger, that's based on what I witnessed in the past.

If you guys have witnessed the short bull run and the long bear market, you'll definitely know that the trend now is different, and it's always bitcoin first then altcoins will follow. It has no change until now since bitcoin has still not recovered fully and so the entire market is not stable yet.

When bitcoin pump, it won't excite me anymore as most likely it would just dump and will affect the altcoins again, so I really have a big hope for bitcoin to finally break its ATH and let's see if altcoins would also pumped like it did in the past.

AFAIR, last bull run, bitcoin reach a new ATH first before altcoins followed,

More like a recruitment agency I guess, but Greg is training separately outside this agency.

I am also not so sure with the other necessary information about what beobasket really do since information is very limited in their site and first time I heard of the service.

He's recruited so that means he is being paid as they trained him? Is that what it meant? For sure, Greg wanted to aim higher and this is getting close to what he wants to achieve.
I am not sure of this one yet, my guess is he is not paid, I think he is even the one who is paying for it.
I would only assume that he is paid once he gets a contract.

He is one of the most formidable players in the PBA court and all we can do now is wish him luck. What will happen to GSM right now? As far as I know, he's the best Centers GSM has.

His stats is good, we can't deny that, as we can see here.

http://stats.humblebola.com/pba/players/56-Slaughter-Greg

However, based on what I observed watching his games, I don't see him being valuable like a star player in a team.

Japeth I guess will man as the center in a Greg Less GSM, and I think he is more effective since he is faster and he can score as well.
3506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 10, 2020, 01:15:11 PM
Good luck to Greg's journey here, I thought this kid already quit his dream but I was wrong, he was looking for a bigger league than the PBA.
What made me happy is despite he is already out in the PBA, but he affirms he will play with the Gilas Pilipinas.

SBP ready to 'embrace' Greg Slaughter as part of Gilas Pilipinas pool
3507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 10, 2020, 11:35:02 AM
I guess these will be added to the burden that the players would face, and it will greatly affect their game.

These athletes supposed to have a good and comfortable rest, but I guess they won't be in their best shape if these concerns won't get fixed.

Bettors would definitely look at this factor, with that said, I think at the beginning of the game when season resumes, I would put my money on the under, on all the scheduled games.

Nice analysis man, you called that advance capping of games, and I'd like to add, you can also consider the court on why betting on under would hit because they are not familiar with it, but it's good to bring the further discussion at the appropriate thread.
3508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 10, 2020, 11:10:16 AM
It's interesting how he will adjust and how it will benefit the entire team, guessing that he will do more outside attacks types of game like Dirk. Big man who really can do both, attacking inside and shooting outside.

I am not expecting a kind of Dirk Move yet, I haven't seen him do that, the fadeaway shot or anything similar with Dirk move.
It's still remain to be seen, hopefully what we will see is an improvement, not the other way around.
3509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum's biggest contender? on: July 10, 2020, 08:32:38 AM
Yes, BNB could definitely be a competitor for ETH but for now, I think CARDANO has a good head start when compared with BNB but price wise I don't think neither BNB nor ADA can beat ETH.
so, altcoin candidates who could potentially replace the ETH are ADA and BNB for now. Well, I also agree with this. it's just that, I think that ETH will not be easily defeated in terms of function, or volume. although both coins are really very useful at the moment, but I've also seen some altcoins that have exceeded ETH, it's just that ETH always takes back that position.
It was XRP which replaced ETH in the number 2 spot, but last year IIRC, it was able to take the spot back and now it was holding strong despite it has not recovered it's good price yet. The market is pretty much unpredictable, so I like to believe that it's possible other altcoins would be able to replace ETH in its spot now, beside, ETH has slowly lose its hype, price has been a little stagnant after it was corrected.
3510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will a BTC bull market begin in July? on: July 09, 2020, 10:57:40 PM
Expected to go up at the end of this month, we might see the price rebound to 11k,Then we can wait for the next peaks, perhaps exceeding 14k in the coming months, In the event of a market crash, the price may touch the 6k level.

Was that your own prediction, or you read it somewhere?
I'm interested to read some expert's analysis if you read that somewhere, so if you can share some link, I would highly appreciate it.

Thing is, I know everyone of us has our own prediction, but it would be more interested to read that prediction if it's realistically justified.
3511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: One game vs a variety: which gives higher potential to a casino? on: July 09, 2020, 10:23:41 PM
I voted.

Casinos that offers many games, this is the new type of casinos now, they don't limit the number of games as they know there's a big competition in the space already. More games could attract more gamblers, that's how they get their volume increase and would result to increase of income as well.
3512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 09, 2020, 09:55:20 PM
I would like to look at the total income of all casinos not including the sale of alcohol and other goods.

Of course because I was only asking on the total size of the market for crypto online casinos, and gamblers can't buy goods when they are playing online.
Figure that is based on wins less loses on their part only, no other factors included.
3513  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will a BTC bull market begin in July? on: July 09, 2020, 11:31:20 AM
Bull market? hopefully.. but I like to see some consistency if the price will indeed right.

But wait.. I realized that bull market has not been present for years already, so I am a bit skeptical if it would take place this month.
Personally, I don't even think it would take place this year, as no great news that would back that bull run or any speculation now.

anyways, hindi ba't parang maliit ang pool for PHP rewards as of the anniversary event? 😂 Greedy Me, expect ko kasi mas malaki pa ang mga nabibigay na rewards sa mga anniversary events.

in the current value nasa 100-110 BNB and 90,000

For me maliit lang, siguro dahil expected nila na konte lang ang sasali.

Pero try nating i compute, kung merong at least 100 na mag participate, so ang makukuha lang kada isa at Php900 (90,000/100)..
Minimum pa lang yan, maaring dumami pa participants, kaya not attractive IMO.

Exec Embezzles $22M From ‘Influencer’ Marketing Firm, Spends Nearly Half on Crypto Gambling

I know this is an old article but I'm just surprised that crypto casinos is this big already.

The article says one person has lose maybe at least $10 million in a casino from a poker game, I mean, how big we are already? I'm just amazed.

Can we just discuss the market size not the gambling addiction or anything related to that?

From what i understand crypto gambling cannot be accounted so how can we talk about the size of gambling in this market when we have no place to get data?there are so many gamblers around the world that i believe enjoying Crypto casino but we can't just ask them how much they won or lose right?
We can only get an estimate, not the exact figure and asking the gamblers will take time and it's impossible to get a close data, the best provider of data are the gambling sites if they are willing to divulge how much they make.

And I think I already found some good answers above, they said it's billions which I agree with.

sana meron mag post ng computation kung ilan kaya kabuuhang fess halimbawa sa 100,000 pesos na pagbili ng crypto direkta sa binance

Try to experience lang, baka ikaw pa mag bigay share dito based on your experience.

3518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still enjoy the anonymity in gambling in the long run? on: July 08, 2020, 10:34:23 PM
If that's the way they would do it then submitting documents is a choice. If its mandatory then you have to submit especially if you have to withdraw your funds.
If we submit then we lose our privacy, there's no difference then from popular fiat casinos and I think people would choose fiat casinos in that matter as who knows, in the future they would also add crypto as part of the payment system.

There are still ways to be anonymous. There are decentralize casinos offering complete anonymity where it only needs a wallet and you can already play. You can go over to the dappsradar list of gambling dapps. EOS alone has tons of these casinos which none of them ever ask an email.

Hopefully they will not be covered by the laws once full implementation starts.
3519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 08, 2020, 10:15:40 PM
I'm so excited to see the first tip off hopefully we they can restart the season as soon as possible when everything is controlled.

Same here and I am not against open the PBA season as long as they will do all the precautionary measures to keep the league free from covid-19.
The amount stated above is for the purpose of the covid-19 response only, if we look at it, it tells us how much this pandemic has already damage our economy.

For simple math, I like to illustrate.

Revenue (from private) = Tax = Economy.

if we kill that revenue, our economy will sink

If this is the case then why does Tolentino wanted to reduce the tax of people working at home? Since we are talking about revenue, reducing the tax means having a negative effect on the economy, right?

https://www.rappler.com/nation/265915-tolentino-wants-tax-deductions-employees-working-from-home

That's different because taxes paid by employees is very small compared to the amount paid by a corporation.
In fact, the government has increase the threshold of non taxable income for employees, so this benefited the employees who are only earning average salary. I noticed that our government now is protecting the small employees while they want to maximize the tax from big companies or corporation.
