3501  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Questions about blockchain.info on: June 20, 2016, 02:24:15 PM
You realized that  the new blockchain.info wallet is also a deterministic wallet and that therefore all you need to do is keep the SEED (12 words) and this backs up everything about the wallet (including all transactions etc.) just like all other deterministic wallets like Electrum and MultibitHD, right?

I don't know about that.  I've tried restoring the wallet using the seed on both wallet.  Multibit HD asked for a datestamp which is only available on wallet backups created using Multibit HD and Electrum didn't even accept the seed.

Electrum needs its own seed and the seed in electrum is case sensitive, if you try to restore your blockchain wallet seed via electrum it will definitely not work. And I am really surprised like a legendary member is defending the worst of all wallets blockchain.info, everything may happen inside my computer but it also happens inside a browser which has much higher risks, rather than doing the transaction for example via electrum servers which got nothing stored on them(private keys are on my PC and not on my browser) anyway to the OP be smart and switch as soon as possible to a desktop wallet as compared to online wallets are safer usually and I have never heard a single story for example of Electrum being hacked, different with blockchain which we all know a lot of stories.
Yes, with the old version blockchain.info wallet, we have heard the missing funds from the wallets from time to time. But for this new HD wallets which is for addressing all of the existing issues. Security and user experience has been improved a lot. I haven't heard any hacks or missing funds  yet since the upgrade.

Thats very good to know then, I will give this new wallet a try myself today once I get home and of course will only keep there maximum of 0.005 btc , should be good to have this low amount in order to do betting from my office without touching my main wallet. I hope you are right and this wallet truly have improved security a lot as thats what this wallet was missing big time. Lets see if this brings some hope.
If it works good without security problems for long time, then I may keep even more bitcoins in this wallet.
But still it cannot be beat Electrum, it can beat it in the sense that you can use blockchain everywhere, while if you want to use electrum everywhere you need your seed with you in different computers and that is not a good practice to do(high risk of trojans, malware ,phishing, keyloggers).
3502  Other / Off-topic / Re: I spent all my saving on bitcoin, now i am broke on: June 20, 2016, 02:17:43 PM
you should put how much you can afford to lose without affecting your life at all.  Grin

My pocket money perhaps? Different folks have different monthly budgets so losing a couple hundred bucks into Bitcoin may not be such a big problem for some people while for others it could have been a disaster. But anyways spending all my savings on Bitcoin would be madness as my wellbeing will depend on luck and I don't want to end up poor just because I wanted to be rich in the first place  Grin Also I don't even fathom how some people are okay with withdrawing their pension fund to invest into Bitcoin  Huh I have seen these madmen on other websites as well.

Actually they are not mad at all and for me they have done the right choice in investing in Bitcoin, me too I have 90% of all my savings in Bitcoin and I am very happy by doing so. My money is on my computer (there's no better than this) holding money on your PC. And if you need some when you are low on cash you can borrow from your own bank. How wonderful is that ? Extremely I would say. Beside I think this is the best way to store the money rather than keeping it cash in hand or in some bank where a third party will look after my cash. No thanks, I prefer looking after my money myself more.
3503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa america 2016 dicussion on: June 20, 2016, 02:12:55 PM
Argentina plays a wonderful football and it has also played very well in all of the games of Copa America 2016 this year. With Brazil out of play , opponents like USA seems like a piece of cake for a goal hungry Argentina. Having players of high calibre like Messi and the alikes in midfield it is wise to say that we should bet on over 3.5 goals or even 4.5 goals in this game, odd should be above normal, meaning above 3 for me and it should be very much achievable at least that over 3.5 bet. Over 2.5 goals during this game seems like a 100% sure bet but I am guessing odd should be very low.
3504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 20, 2016, 02:07:36 PM
Let me make some predictions today as I have been far away from tipping since I am on vacation.

Matches on today
Russia vs Wales X2 double chance
Slovakia vs England 2 england to win

If England don't win today against a weak team like Slovakia then they really cannot pretend to fight for the championship title this Euro cup. And I need a very good game with lot of attacking style in order for them to convince me that they will win the Euro after exactly 50 years from last time.
3505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Whats about the Gambling, when Bitcoin is going up? on: June 20, 2016, 08:12:57 AM
Actually there is a nice correlation between bitcoin price and gambling, at least I am talking from my personal experience, when bitcoin price is very high just like the moments we are talking, usually the bets of a gambler become lower, if someone for example used to bet 0.01 BTC(3.5 USD) per bet before 3 months, then now that the price of bitcoin is double is more than 700 USD the same gambler plays only 0.0045 BTC(3.5 USD) per bet. This is the only correlation I can find between Gambling and bitcoin price. It should be the opposite when bitcoin price goes down, the gambler is tempted to increase the bet by then.

I sent him the funds on PayPal as he requested, im waiting for him to release the bitcoin now.

Update: Looks like he is a scammer. he deleted me from skype after sending funds

I can call paypal and get my funds back no problem.

I am afraid I have to say that this is definitely your fault, how can you send the funds first to a newbie without any post history and without any trust. I hope Paypal gives you your money back but this is an error I never thought could be done from a person with more than 2.5 old account in this forum. If you read the sticky post in the Currency Exchange you would have avoided such a big mistake. Anyway never deal with a newbie without post history (3-4 post max) and without any trust. There are a lot of trusted exchangers in the Currency Exchange section but I guess greed got you as you thought to get the 0.13 bitcoin really under priced and unfortunately you were scammed. Next time deal only with trusted persons here with much post history and a good trust score.

Very boring race to watch actually too much of a difference between top cars running, and even in the back the only battle were only with the DRS opened in the big straight in the beginning of the track. Red Bull failed with tires this race, Mercedes was as always not catch able by their rivals and Williams and McLaren continued to disappoint. Definitely a boring race to watch but at least we saw some beautiful panoramic of the city of Baku, had no idea that city was so beautiful.
3509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 20, 2016, 06:40:48 AM
Great to see Albania only 10 minutes away from winning against Romania. Albania were very unlucky to lose 2-0 to France in the previous game. Go Albania.

I had my bet on Albania +0.75 as I thought in the worst case they would have been a draw or losing by one goal but apparently now they can even dream to go to play against your team England if Turkey draws or wins with 1 goal difference against Czech, Belgium 1x against Sweden and Italy 1x against Ireland, very impressed by their game and of course big merit have their manager an Italian from my country Smiley

Hi guys
I rellay need help
I have to earn at least at least 0.3 btc in week
Is there any job or any thing i can do
With out risks
(Gamble or invest)
Please if you have any info or job tell me
Thanks all

If you really need to earn 0.3 btc per week forget Gambling and trading, they can make you win sometimes, but in the majority of the time, they will make you earn -0.3 btc or more per week so you will be even more sad then. However you can do signature campaigns when you go higher in ranks, solving captchas, data entry, go check xfreelancer they pay in bitcoin if you have any skill there , you can easily do data entry job I think, anyone can.
3511  Other / MultiBit / Re: How to import vanity addresses into Multibit HD? on: June 19, 2016, 04:07:32 PM
Why on earth would you want to ruin a perfectly good privacy and fungibility supporting wallet and keypair chain with the inclusion of one or more privacy killing vanity addresses?

These two things do not mix.  Best to completely get rid of the vanity addresses and use your HD wallet properly.

I would follow BurtW advice to the very detail and immediately quit the vanity addresses , a lot of late hacks to different persons came just after they visited the website which generate vanity addresses, apparently they are not safe, you should focus on Multibit HD and do all of your transactions there, is much safer than any address generated online, vanity or not.
3512  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: It's time to withdraw ! on: June 19, 2016, 04:01:37 PM
I would encourage people to withdraw their bitcoin and altcoins from exchanges because as we see recently poloniex and yobit are having many troubles by not showing the deposits or long wait on withdrawal, it's time to save and hold the coins.

I think you can speak for Poloniex as a lot of threads regarding them, but until now I have withdrawn from Yobit quite easily and almost instantly my bitcoins. Yobit is still working like a charm in this moment as I am writing this stuff. Due your own search before jumping to judgment next time. In fact I just did a withdraw to test yobit now and everything went smooth and withdraw got in instantly. I don't think they will run away as they are running since early 2015, end 2014, but anything can happen.
3513  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Questions about blockchain.info on: June 19, 2016, 03:53:00 PM
There is a much easier way you know, and I really can't understand why people keep using blockchain.info these days and what makes me even more mad, there are a lot of people supporting it.

Here is the difference (considering you have a safe PC)
If you install a desktop wallet like Electrum or MultibitHD, the only thing you need to safeguard very carefully is the SEED, without it no one can touch your bitcoins. While while you are on blockchain.info you rely on third party to do your transactions, EXTREMELY STUPID CHOICE if you ask me.

Anyway in the end its based on user choice, if the user is smart he moves from online wallets to desktop ones, if he is not he continue with online wallets.
3514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 19, 2016, 12:26:54 PM
Romania vs Albania. I'm curious why Romania have a good odds too. I mean, they always make a goal on their previous match, in the other hand, Albania is bad on this tournament. I pick Romania ML.

The odds for romania moneyline is actually not really good considering that there is a high chance that it will ended up with a draw. I will say thats around 1-1 for this match, both team to score could be a better pick for this game. Eventhough albania is just another weak team on the euro, albania isnt really be able to defeat them easily

Well, i think Romania can win on this game or draw for this match. Albania need to win on this match if they want qualify to the next round and Romania only need draw.

If Romania draws it cannot qualify , this game is unpredictable but I have seen both matches of Romania and both of Albania, and no matter Albania have 2 losses it has played better than Romania , when they almost got a draw from France, losing the game only on the 90 minute, however I have my bet on Albania +0.75 as I think this game will end in draw and both teams will get eliminated from the tournament, although I usually fancy underdogs like Albania in Euro or World Cup, I thought they will be beaten miserably by every team here, since its their first time, but they won my sympathy.
As their coach is from my country, he did quite an achievement bringing them to Euro so tonight I am fancing for them.
3515  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: July Bitcoin production halved, how to get Bitcoin? on: June 19, 2016, 11:41:52 AM
Both topmine and bitrapids are big scams, in fact topmine has reduced the price per 1 terax (1ghs, or 1 khs in other ponzi cloud mines) and by doing this they only want more fool to invest their bitcoins on them as they will think they will increase their number of imaginary terax and soon after 1 month, or even before, once topmine has got enough bitcoins will get away with your coins and leave you eating dust.

Terrible idea cloud mining, when you go for ponzies like the ones you mentioned. If you wanna try legit cloud mining go for Hashnest but that too is not profitable so better to keep your coins in your wallet.
3516  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: June 19, 2016, 11:23:24 AM
Is it safe to keep all of my assets in Bitcoins? And how Department for Combating Economic Crimes, can affect my account?  What permissions they need , to freeze all my money ?

if it is safe from freezing by government I think youre bitcoin safe, because bitcoin is decentralized so there is no interference from the government. but safe from hackers I think it's still a threat. hehe

It is a threat as long as you keep them in an online wallet, like Blockchain.info (most hacks of all wallets) or XAPO, or coinbase (can block your account, just like a government or paypal) . If you want a better security you have to keep them in desktop wallets like Electrum or Multibit, bitcoins will be safe as long as your PC is safe too. For ultimate security and peace of mind you can buy a hardware wallet like, Trezor, Keepkey or the cheapest one Ledger HW1. Both these hardware wallets are malware proof and 2fa so you can have peace of mind.
In the end bitcoin is safe from government control and safe from hackers too if you use a hardware wallet.

Bad luck for Hamilton, he dominated all the free practice races but crashed on qualification race. It is not good for him because need to work hard on race to get good points in order to keep close to Rosberg.

And glad to see the Indonesian racer Rio Haryanto start from 17th, this is the best start position for him so far and hope he can get his first point on his F1 career.

Actually this is bad for Hamilton but is good for all of us watching the race as Hamilton needs to do an attacking race from the beginning and based on Mercedes power he can do it well, we will surely see some good overtaking from him today. As a big circuit and narrow through roads of Baku we may see a lot of Safety Car, so a lot can happen in this race , so it should be a very interesting race to watch.

Yeah I thought so too, thats why I stopped working after just spending a little bit of time. A friend of mine told me that that website is great for making money, but I guess my friend is not very knowledgeable after all. I told her site looks like scam but she insisted. Tomorrow I will tell her that I got all the information needed that this website is a scam and will tell her too to quit. Thanks for your help. Locking topic.
3519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 19, 2016, 10:56:12 AM
Well my bet today is on Albania +0.75 as they have played well in their last 2 games, with Switzerland they were for 60 minutes with 10 players and played better than Switzerland, also with France their defensive wall only fall in the 90 minutes because of an error of the defense. I have seen Romania playing, not impressive at all, I think this is a very safe bet today.
3520  Other / Off-topic / Re: When is Bitcoins going to die? on: June 19, 2016, 10:52:50 AM
Last bitcoin mined will be in year 2141 or something like that, its for sure that last bitcoin mined will be above year 2100, so all of us who are still alive now, there is a big chance we will all be dead by then, so its sure that bitcoin is not going to die until year 2100. Just enjoy the profits coming from it, exchange to cash, invest in online ventures, do trading, or just collect it for a few years hoping in the price being increased a lot, thats what many do and don't care about when bitcoin is going to die.
