3501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto for gambling? on: July 13, 2020, 07:43:59 AM
I am using ETH and Bitcoin for gambling but most of the time it's Bitcoin and I understand the fee is high but I am not a kind of gambler who withdraw my money regularly, I like to set a bankroll and aim for a target and only withdraw when a certain target is hit.

Usually I do sports betting and I'm glad I don't worry for the withdrawal fees as my sportsbook allows a free withdrawal regardless of the amount as long as it pass on the minimum.
3502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Who should Ryan Garcia fight? on: July 10, 2020, 10:58:25 AM
TBH, I don't know these two names but I know Vasyl Lomachenko since he is a popular personality in the sports of boxing.
Whoever wins in a fight between Ryan Garcia and (opponent), I like to see it giving a good fight to Lomachenko as this guy has been beating his opponents easily.
3503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: July 10, 2020, 10:26:14 AM
While the Coronavirus continues to advance, the economy develops slowly, giving rise to scarcity and unemployment.

Honestly this situation is worrying, I see that the way the USA is reopening the economy does not strictly follow sanitary controls and is the reason for the new cases of infected people and this leads to more spending and less income.

The increase of cases in the US is undeniable, it's over 3 million cases already with over 130k deaths already.
If they will close the economy, nothing will happen as people will starve, US even a very rich country can't provide the needs of the people as the government also has a lot of responsibilities to pay debts, so revenue is necessary to them.

I am already wondering how it affect the economy with this 3 million cases, it could be the end of the life and health insurance business.

Without a doubt, online sports betting has been growing because it is safer. We will see in the economy that business will become more online.

Not only sports betting, other forms of games as well, it's growing because not because it's safe but because it's risk free.

That's why Greg left the PBA because he is up to something big?

Here's some news about the Gregzilla.

Greg Slaughter signs with same agent as Nikola Jokic and Co.

Quote
GREG Slaughter said he has signed with BeoBasket, the biggest basketball agency in the world.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CCcT1RLFKQB/?utm_source=ig_embed

Honestly, i don't really grasp the idea on what do BeoBasket do to a player. Is their company like an agent that represents a certain player in contract negotiation?

About BeoBasket ;http://www.beobasket.net/about-us.html

Quote
BeoBasket Ltd is a full service agency specialized in representation of professional basketball players and coaches worldwide. BeoBasket Ltd. is a global agency and one of the most respected in the entire industry.

services -  http://www.beobasket.net/services.html

Quote
BeoBasket Ltd. has firnly estabished itself as a industry leader in representation and management of basketball's elite athletes (and coaches). With its family-like approach, the Agency offers a full-service to its Clients, and assists them in every aspect of their professional life. Unique understanding of the markets, thinking out of the box and constantly creating new paths and services, has made of BeoBasket Ltd. an agency with most faithful clients in the industry - a fact that we are very proud of.

Our passion and love for the game  allowed and helped  work for and with the best athletes from all parts of the World, and assisting them on their way to the highest level of basketball.

More like a recruitment agency I guess, but Greg is training separately outside this agency.

I am also not so sure with the other necessary information about what beobasket really do since information is very limited in their site and first time I heard of the service.
3505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 10, 2020, 09:04:06 AM
Thanks @Russlenat, this is a great news, Jokic playing for the playoffs and he is fully healthy, my worries are gone now, this team would really surprise big teams when the playoffs starts.
I think you're not the only one that is worried that Jokic might not play in this play-off, I'm sure there are a lot of fans here and the team itself. At least the air has been cleared, although we will see what will be the effect on him reducing so much weight during the pandemic.
Hopefully the effect is good because they have been working for that transformation.
Now that he is cleared, we can see him playing back again since he has more time to practice with the team in Orlando.

If he will play limited minutes it's understandable since they already secured the playoff position but if they'll look for a good standing, Jokic better be ready with his full strength and probe those who doubt that they are wrong, including me, lol  Grin

There's no need to play hard once regular season resumes, remember, there's no home court advantage, so what for?
Maybe if they want to face a particularly team in the first round, that's where they will either play hard to win or will just pay to deliberately lose the game.

Who do you think should coach the NY Knicks for the team to improve, Jason Kidd  or Tom Thibodeau?

3507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be the ideal currency of the future? on: July 10, 2020, 05:56:40 AM
At this moment, we can think of Bitcoin being an ideal currency, yes. Although I believe more in the future when technology become powerful, especially quantum computing. With quantum computing, people can decrypt the Bitcoin address so that Bitcoin isn't safe anymore.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, I believe the algorithm to generate Bitcoin addresses aren't completely impossible to reverse, it's just really hard, practically impossible to do it with the current computing power.

This is very technical, average investor would  not be able to absorb your idea especially the "quantum computing'.

I believe most investors just trust the system, they believe it's safe and they can invest on it and it's a good investment for long term, being a currency in the future, I think it could only be an alternative even if it will gain a massive adoption.
3508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 09, 2020, 10:12:25 PM
So all in all, league doesn't have too many klay thompsons,
They don't need a Klay Thompson type of player to succeed, that's already too much for them given they have already the talent and they just lack few role players. I think it's still easy to find good 3 point shooters as the NBA has already evolved and most players even big man are already training to shoot 3 points.

we can find here the list of good 3 point shooters in the NBA.

https://www.teamrankings.com/nba/player-stat/three-point-field-goal-percentage

sixers can't get that many shooters around embiied and simmons, JJ was their guy for that but he lacked defense. If someone instead of paying horford that much money, they get Klay one day, that would really make them a championship contender without a doubt, but I do not see Klay leaving warriors anytime soon.

Like I said, they don't need Klay, and there's no way Klay would leave his team, he might just retire as a Warrior as he is loved by the fans, and he already get a maximum salary on this team. He is now one of the top earners in the NBA.
3509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 09, 2020, 09:45:20 PM
Now, this is really a good music to the ears of PBA fans. Just read it on my social media feed and i don't have link to it but i think this is legit news.
Don't worry, this information is still vital, at least we are given an idea now.

Let's consider this as a rumor since there is no official news about this yet and hopefully this rumor would turn out to be a good news.

So there we go, we will just wait on what will the outcome of the meeting tomorrow but it's sure that PBA will resume unless NCR will be reverted back to ECQ.

So those no PBA until vaccine is produce is crushed out here?

Great news.. I highlight the words "PBA will resume" as that's the one I like to see, I'm excited of the outcome of that meeting, hopefully it's a positive one.
3510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prediction 2020 on: July 09, 2020, 06:26:06 AM
After all it's just a speculation which is based on our own ideas but if you have a TA to prove your speculation then we can consider it meaningful but then again, we are all speculators in this market. I don't expect a bullish market this year, i am more hoping the bull market next year which is almost everyone is expecting.

If the bull market can happen in this year, we will be happy because I am sure that many people are waiting from a long time ago, and they still hold their coin at their wallet. That can be a big bonus to them because they don't have to wait for more to sell their coin, and they can also recover their loss by making a big profit.

I guess that the bullish trend is hard to predict, and there is no right sign that is telling us about when the bull market will come. We can only wait and prepare for the coming, but we can also buy more and don't sell if the price does not increase so high. We will have a chance to see the bull market comes soon, so better we wait and have more patience.

It can but I'm not expecting it will happen this year.
Bitcoin could rise $10,000, but if it will fail to break the big resistance, again it will still fall to the support level.

We've see it rise this year but failed many times, probably if bitcoin will reach $15,000, then that would the time the market will bullish, but like I mentioned, I am not expecting this year, not in the pandemic time where the economy is struggling.
3511  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's ok if your profits are less on: July 08, 2020, 11:11:00 PM
We always consider the "IFS" when we are investing.

What if the price will rise more or what if the price will fall again.
That's something as an investors we are not sure of, so selling at a profit is already a success regardless of the profit you made.

I have a lot of regrets in the past for not selling when the price pumped, but I learned my lesson, eventually I know I'll be more matured and what I really learn from trading is not to be greedy, once you make profit even if how small it is, it already gives you an idea how to make it so you'll be able to be profitable again by other investment or the same when you buy them at dip.
3512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: July 08, 2020, 10:47:32 PM
About the rumor that Wilder will step aside on the trilogy fight against Fury and will just take money instead, this is not true, the fight is one.
The reason Wilder took the third fight is because his ego is not accepting the defeat and even though there were talks about paying him off it was evident his ego will not allow that to happen and he was even questioning the legacy of Mike Tyson in the past few months about the top fighters he faced during his career.
And the money as well, any of them are entitled for a rematch if they'll asked based on the contract they signed, so why not ask for a rematch when a defeated gambler has a chance to win back the belt and at the same like like I mentioned, make more money.

It's a good news to know that this fight will push through, but we can't be too excited as it seems like not gonna happen this read.
I read an article that the promoter wants more money, so under the current situation it's not possible as bigger money are coming from the gate entrance.
My best estimate is this fight will happen next year or when the vaccine arrives, whichever comes first.

The fight will happen but we are no way on the verge of producing any vaccine and it is a long distant dream and we have to expect that the virus will die off eventually after one year, but the question is, is it that simple to be optimistic about it, the number of cases are surging on and off and we are forced to live with that situation and for the promoters to expect to have a full audience within an year is optimistic but if we have a better testing kit then they can test everyone and that will be the game changer than expecting a vaccine .

No way it would attract a crowd if there is no vaccine, even if they want it, the authorities will not allow it and I think it's more convenient to just want alone not feeling the risk that you get infected and no social distancing as well.

Get some beer and just enjoy them fighting, I think promoters has to reconsider that as well,  they just find a way to increase their revenue from advertisements and increase of the PPV price.

Philadelphia 76ers fans, do you believe on this?

Joel Embiid Says He's 'Capable Of Carrying The Team' On Offense

Quote
Joel Embiid addressed the Philadelphia 76ers' offensive struggles ahead of the Orlando restart, saying that the offense should run through him.

He is giving an idea on what their opponent would expect, but can he really make his team successful if the offense runs through him?
Is he the on the status of Kobe and Lebron yet?

he also said,

Quote
Embiid also addressed his fit with Al Horford, saying that the duo needed to be surrounded by shooters.

Who shooters he is talking about, they are tall line up so their offense are mostly in the inside.
If he would only choose Horford to be his buddy in the inside, what would happen to Simmons who can't even shoot a 3s.

I think they just need to stick with their strategy, they might have struggled in the regular season but they are in a good advantage in the playoffs as it's a series and adjustments can be done.

He maybe encouraging Simmons to shoot 3's/perimeter jumpers and not just drive to the basket every now and then or maybe he wants Simmons to be traded lol.
But that would not happen I guess because Simmons is not born to be a good outside shooter, but despite of that, he still has a good stats and he can contribute to the team in a way that he is good at.

Quote
Whatever Embiid means, it does not do good to the team if he have a conflict with someone and that is what i have observed from him. Whining every now and then, if i have a say with the Sixers team, i would ship him out and replace him with a talented and non-vocal one  Grin.

Not sure what he really meant, but I think Embiid knows that the management values him in the team so he is that so entitled.
It's time for him to prove this coming playoffs if he is really capable, and I think I can bet on that.
3514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is safer, USDT or Binance USD? on: July 08, 2020, 10:15:22 AM
USDT of course due to its high liquidity, but I'm not saying BUSD is not safe, it's also a safe coin since it's back by Binance which is a reputable exchange.
If you don't transact a lot of money, I think you can choose any of the two, they won't be gone anytime soon as they are enjoying the demand on them.
3515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still enjoy the anonymity in gambling in the long run? on: July 08, 2020, 09:48:47 AM
I think full anonymity will be gone in the long run.

As of now, based on my observation, there are gambling sites that allows you to gamble anonymously based on what country you are living, or course they based it only on IP as that's the only way to verify it, and then if  your IP address says you belong to a country where crypto is regulated, then they could accept you but with KYC, and that alone you will already lose your anonymity when you comply.

If you would look at the other site to gamble, you can but the risk is high as reputable casinos are normally compliant to the law.
3516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do not participate in non reputed bounty managers campaign on: July 08, 2020, 09:30:05 AM
I'm not and in fact I am not doing bounty lately as mot of the bounty end up to be just a failure.

I don't want to call them scam as I don't have an evidence to prove that, that's too legal that it will take time to investigate and we bounty hunters are not interested on that as our main purpose is just to earn when we work for the bounty campaign.

Reputed bounty managers ensures the project is legit, but they can't ensure if the project will succeed, that's the reason I pause a bit.

_snip

This is interesting! despite what we are going through today, they can still give us some extraordinary matches such as this. I'm looking forward to seeing this match. You never see this kind of fight every year, the two known heavyweight fighters will return to the ring in their 3rd re-match.
It's a good news to know that this fight will push through, but we can't be too excited as it seems like not gonna happen this read.
I read an article that the promoter wants more money, so under the current situation it's not possible as bigger money are coming from the gate entrance.

I'm rooting for them I don't care who will win because this might be their last fight. they need to give it all they've got in this fight.
I can see the love for both fighters, but if you are betting, you need to only choose one.  Grin
3518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 05, 2020, 10:20:13 AM
I'm not aware about this, is this like a preseason before the NBA opens up their regular season?
Scrimmages are like friendly games, serve as practice. So yeah, it is somewhat similar to summer league that NBA has every year. While in summer league teams mostly use bench or G league players, in these scrimmage games teams will most likely use their main players, and each team will play 3 games.

Thanks for the answer mate, so this game is more fun than watching the NBA preseason.

Excited for this, this one is televised too? I thought I'll only watch NBA this July 30, but this presence came early.
3519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 05, 2020, 09:45:45 AM
He deserves to earn that numbers plus he plays overseas so it will be bad decision for him if he takes that $8,000-$10,000 per month, And if he accept that really since there was a statement that salary is not factor then provably its a wrong decision if that's true.
Yeah of course, that salary is something very attractive for a young player who hasn't played in the PBA yet and has not earn close to that amount yet.
I'm not sure how much he is earning during college if they have pay, but pretty sure not big enough to compete with what he signed for now.

Quote
I find japanese players are so soft we already see how they played on FIBA and filipino players always beat them.

They are not mate, if you are watching FIBA asia, they are very competitive and we don't beat them all the time.

It's better for him to play in phils since he can earned more and will be trained well by the elite coaches on PBA.

He can't earn that amount in the Philippines playing in the PBA as a rookie, with his salary now, he is even getting paid bigger than JMF if it's true that he is earning at least 1 million pesos per month.
3520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 05, 2020, 06:28:30 AM
Unless the name of that player is Delonte West, LOL. I don't think that Lebron has fully forgiven him for screwing his mother.

We will see how JR Smith will adjust, it's not just Lebron or Danny there's a lot of players and of course will he be a perfect fit for the Lakers.
Well right.

It's most of them that will give a contribution to the team. And I also think that Lebron has already moved on with those issues and probably the management talked to him before getting JR Smith.
Probably, if not they will just need to move on.
They are professionals in court, they can talk about it later on after the game.  Grin
