3501  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Canadian Bitcoin Scammer to Face Two Years Jail for $140k Twitter Fraud on: December 22, 2019, 09:48:54 PM
100% not a canadian and i do believe this one either a indian or a thailander. Its just right for these scammers to get imprisoned for the crimes that they had done.
These are Indian brothers settled in Canada and good to see scammer busted and the glad news is that the women will get her coins back.

They thought that they cant be traced up and they do outsmart the authorities? Well, they believe on the wrong thing and they arent that smart enough to erase their traces. lol
These are dumb kids who impersonated HitBTC customer care via Twitter and somehow convinced the customer to give her login credentials and moved the coins to their Kraken account  Cheesy.

Everyone should be made aware that the login credentials should not be shared even if the customer care representatives ask for it as they can check the back end without the credentials.
3502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker: Sentenced two year suspended jail term, & six-month electronic curfew on: December 22, 2019, 08:57:36 PM
However, I think the sentenced was too weak, I think if this happens in the US Kerem could get heavier punishment. Probably the court wanted to teach the kid a lesson, but we all know that crime is a crime. I disagree with the court's decision though. Those cyber criminals should get harsher punishment.
The difference here is that Kerem Albayrak is not a real hacker, he is just a wannabe who got the information online and just flaunted around without really having the skills and his motive was to make some quick bucks claiming something he has no skills whats so ever, all his devices are confiscated and nothing can be found and that is the reality of the event. He might be seeing too much movies to think that he can make money scamming Apple  Cheesy.
3503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am meeting with an attorney, have you been damaged by wash trading on binance? on: December 22, 2019, 07:41:23 PM
~snip
Time wasted through fake trends ruining professional trading.  Wasted time and money through commission on trades that don't work.  Causing terrorism and physical damage including stress from constant harassment in the market.  Getting "hit" by large sells because the buys try to convince you that sells are the enemy.
Since you have the evidence about Binance and their wash trading practices i guess you will be fighting against them in Malta as they are registered in Malta and if you are not residing over there how come you can fight them legally is a big question. The market is not regulated and the risk are known to everyone and if you are trading in an unregulated exchange in your jurisdiction how can you take legal action against them. I like your enthusiasm but i would like to know how you are trying to accomplish that.

People have committed suicide over this.  It's time to stop messing around.
It is like fighting a ghost about something you really cannot do anything until and unless you have a lot of money to fight against the malpractice of the unregulated market and even then it is a sheer waste of time and money. Wait till your country regulates these exchanges and then if you fight against them then you will have a possibility to block the website in your country and that is the best thing you can do.
3504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong granted patent for sending BTC thru email on: December 20, 2019, 04:18:57 PM
I'm sure that Brian will take advantage of his ivtention with his Coinbase here. And it's going to be interesting if other exchanges will use his patent on their side as well, so let's see how it goes.
Coinbase is not the only site that uses BTCitcoin to e-mail facility, i have used using Xapo a long time back and we are still able to send using the mail ID and there was even a blockchain wallet blog written in 2014 which explains how to send coins using their wallet to send BTCitcoin to e-mail addresses and there are other service that were allowing users to send the coins and now the patent is won by Coinbase and how these other platform will run without paying him a fees is to be seen.

Just a few services that allow users to send BTCitcoin using mail.

3505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teen crook hacked into 75 phones and stole $1M in cryptocurrency: authorities on: December 20, 2019, 01:13:09 PM
It's just a matter of time before these bad eggs are going to be caught, either they make a mistakes or authorities are simply hunting them down. 5-10 years sentence will be enough for this criminals? What do you think?
Good to hear these kind of positive news as the criminals are getting caught left and right for their past and we need harsh punishment and the most important thing is they need to confiscate all the loot plus their interest so that everyone will think twice before going after easy money, i have not seen in the article whether the authorities are returning the asset back or valuation that was stolen during that time.
3506  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any legit websites to earn bitcoin fast without a withdrawal fee? on: December 20, 2019, 11:45:57 AM
Tried pretty much everything and its all a scam. Just in desperate need of some bitcoin... tbh I'm not sure why I'm expecting a legit website that can magic bitcoin from thin air this is probably a stupid question. If anyone has any recommendations let me know thanks
You know very well that you are bound to get scammed if you are trusting someone who is promising you to give you are profit which does not make any logical sense and still you made those investment from what i understand thinking you might earn a quick buck, good luck with that kind of mentality and you cannot earn a single cent for free and the scammers are targeting people like you to make their money despite the warnings people still invest in Ponzi and scams thinking about making a quick profit if you were lucky. It wont hurt to think before investing to any stupid scam which has no logic Tongue.

The best way is to be a referral to major gambling sites and if you are lucky enough to get a whale who could register under you then you can make a good profit.
3507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 20, 2019, 10:51:14 AM
Every run which the Srilankan team are making now will increase the pressure for the Pakistani team. Considering the low scoring runs for both the teams, even a 50 runs lead can be a match winning. Lets see how much runs the last two batsmen for srilanka can score.
The Sri Lankan tail end players are playing well to increase the lead and they are leading by 64 runs and hopefully they will try to extend the lead to 100 runs and the match revolves around how the Pakistan batsman will bat in the second innings and they need a long innings from the openers especially from Abid Ali and then their in form player Babar Azam who is playing really well in the shorter format of the game and if he can play the same in the Test series it would be great for Pakistan to save the match.
3508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Highly Anticipated Ethereum Upgrade Could Be Delayed for Years on: December 20, 2019, 09:23:12 AM
Ethereum's pivotal redesign, Eth 2.0, is likely still three to five years from execution.
Rather than hurrying into a general redesign, engineers for the open-source blockchain stage are as of now chipping away at a suite of present moment fixes to improve the wellbeing and sturdiness of the system, as indicated by another blog entry at Ethereum.org
What do you guys have to say about this? Many are waiting for this upgrade before bitcoin halving, seems its never going to happen
They are planning many thing at once and it is not that easy to implement everything and rather than creating chaos it is better they implement all these upgrades after proper testing and if the development team is really trying to compete to upgrade everything on a specific time it will back fire big time and it is a billion dollar business too and i hope they will implement the upgrades carefully.

@OP These are the sources for your content and it is better you put that.

3509  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will hit 5500 ? on: December 20, 2019, 08:21:11 AM
So we could drop to 4k price in coin based on the s17 pro's earning price.
I do not see  your 5500 guess out of line.
I do not agree with the point that the price of BTCitcoin is solely based on the difficultly level or the expenditure to generate a BTCitcoin, it has nothing to do with the way the structure works, it is solely dependent on the investors and you cannot expect the market to see more investors because the miners are at a loss  Tongue. The reason why everyone expects the market to rise after halving is because the number of coins created will be reduced and thereby less coins in the market.

When the market breached the support level of $6500 i thought we will go to the second support level but then the market rallied again, if we see a correction now, we might touch the second support level and even the third but i doubt we will see those valuations considering the amount of investment that comes in whenever the price touches the first support level.
3510  Economy / Speculation / Re: The real reason BTC price has dropped on: December 20, 2019, 06:12:30 AM
This drop comes shortly after a report from Chainalysis, shared by Bloomberg, revealed that the PlusToken Ponzi scheme, which managed to accrue billions worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum and other tokens over the course of a year, has been dumping thousands of coins per month on the open market.
You will find many reasons for the drop but you cannot pin point that to be the exact reason for the drop, i have read the news regarding the so called ponzi scheme and they have $2 billion worth of crypto assets and Chainalysis and other blockchain analyst are monitoring these moves and yet why there is no action against them and is there any legal proceedings against these scammers in China, considering all these scams around us we wish there was a better system to stop these illegal activities and the loot should be confiscated and returned to the rightful owners and with BTCitcoin it is possible to do that and hopefully we will see that happen one day.

@OP i liked your sarcasm but the price of BTCitcoin is not controlled by the miners, the investors have the ultimate control over the price Tongue, if everyone decides that you are not purchasing at a certain valuation the price will naturally come down, so do underestimate the power of the investor .
3511  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-18] In Venezuela, buying up bitcoins, the rate is close to $ 9500 on: December 19, 2019, 10:03:26 PM
You have to look at the financial situation of these countries too where BTCitcoin price have a premium valuation that the other exchanges in the market, countries who are struggling from hyperinflation does have a premium valuation and countries like Venezuela, Argentina, Sudan and there was a time when countries like South Korea, Japan and India have a premium valuation and it might not be because of hyperinflation but because of the high demand and when China banned BTCitcoin trading the exchanges from Hong Kong was trading at a premium rate and so does many other countries.
3512  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price- If Tether (USDT) go down, will it be good for Bitcoin? on: December 19, 2019, 08:24:10 PM
Now the question is, if Tether ever go down Will it affect the price of Bitcoin and the whole crypto ecosystem?
There is no doubt that any negative impact on the USDT market will have an negative influence on the BTCitcoin market, when the price was rallying in 2017 there were huge amounts of USDT created and circulated by the shady team and even now majority of the users are holding their profits in Tether and it is not a good sign considering their past history and their lack of complete transparency and if there is something that affects the USDT market it will affect the BTCitcoin market as well.
3513  Economy / Economics / Re: 2020 Good for USA dollar Bad for USA stock market on: December 19, 2019, 08:04:06 PM
2020 is Good for USA dollar coz debt Will arise and to pay debt u need to have USA dollars.
Just coz of high debt the value of USA dollar Will Go Better.
So the USA dollar Will have Some tremendous growth.
Also the Canada dollar value Will grow 2020.
But USA and Canada stock market Will Not do great.
If the US dollar and the economy is performing well then there is no way that the stock market will perform differently because the main concept is that the Stock market is a indicator of the economic situation of a country, which means that if the companies in the country is performing well then the stock market is directly related to that and in turn it shows the economic situation of a country and if that performs well then the stock market will perform accordingly and these are not different in any aspect.
3514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 19, 2019, 06:14:40 PM
@eaLiTy - not watching Conor vs Floyd II.  Grin
If Conor McGregor can prove that he has improved on his cardio and with time Floyd Mayweather is aging too so that his reflex might not be the same like before and if everything aligns the same then i might watch the rematch other than that the rematch will be the same like the first fight, Conor advancing in the first few rounds but taking cover and trying hard to survive in the later part of the fight and ends up knocking out in the end when his hands does not move up to cover his chin  Cheesy. I consider both these fighters as characters and Floyd Mayweather made his money as a cocky spendthrift where everyone wanted to see him get knocked out and Conor McGregor had a nation behind him for majority of his career as he was an Irish super star with his fighting skills but right now he pissed off many of his hardcore followers and the casual fans knows what the result would be if they box again, Conor McGregor gassing out and that is the fact Cheesy. I spent money to purchase the first PPV and i am not going to do that again  Wink.
3515  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Loss, A life saver or a evil? on: December 19, 2019, 03:59:01 PM
I had this question in mind, since many of my trades with an adjusted stop loss got triggered, but then the market goes in the direction I wanted, but since it got triggered basically im out. I know this is due to big fishes messing around.
What do you guys think, is stop loss something or, or not so good?
The most important thing when dealing with a volatile market like BTCitcoin is that you need to be careful when using stop loss and there is another option stop limit where i have not heard many talking about in this forum.

The most important aspect of stop loss is when the market is rallying and then you are busy and you can put a stop loss so that you will not miss on booking the profit when the market rallies and when it comes to stock market it is an important tool but in a volatile market like BTCitcoin you have to be careful and for you to carefully execute those orders you need to be well aware of the support level and that is the important aspect when you are using those market.
3516  Economy / Economics / Re: Exchanges are rebelling against constant hard forks on: December 19, 2019, 09:16:13 AM
It would have been much easier to understand whether or not the delisting is a political move had the exchange released some percentages as to the amount of business trading eth and bch brings them.
This is not a political move, it is a small exchange with a 24 hour trading volume of $450,000 according the reported volume by coinmarketcap which pale in comparison to the big exchanges in the market and their decision to delist ETH and the other fork coins is because of the technical issues they will have to encounter when a fork happens and if they are not careful they will be paying a huge prize and hence i understand why they are delisting ETH because of the massive change they are planning to implement but i still do not understand why they want to remove Bitcoin cash now as i am not aware about any upgrade from them.
3517  Economy / Economics / Re: I got a question about QE on: December 19, 2019, 07:56:54 AM
It seems to me that the Federal Reserve has the ability to print vast quantities of money into the economy simply by making it appear out of thin air. But this causes Inflation.
There should be a clarity in this, the truth is that the Federal reserves has no control over the printing of paper currency but the Treasury control and operates the presses that print the currency, the part Federal Reserve play is to credit and loan money and control the reserve ratio which means the Federal reserve control the money supply and not the creation of paper currency.
I know it is confusing, the Federal Reserve has the ability to create credits out of thin air and if that means creating money out of thin air then it is possible with the federal reserve.

Is there a committee or organization that overlooks what the federal reserve does? Or are they higher than government and other entities?
Bureau of Engraving and Printing in short BEP a government agency within the treasury department overlooks everything including the design security and the number of currency to be printed and they are responsible for all the government security documents but coins are not under BEP control as they are minted by United States Mint which is another department under treasury.

Because lets be realistic , if you had a money printer , wouldn't you just go absolutely nuts with it and distribute back to the population at interest?
Federal Open Market Committee assess the supply of money and economic situation and the amount of money created depends on the countries GDP and if the government do not oversee these then hyperinflation will take over like they happened in Zimbabwe and Venezuela.

PS: i tried to explain the best i can, hope some can understand. If there is a mistake i am open to learn.
3518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 18, 2019, 11:35:17 PM
If he need money, he could make a rematch against Floyd Mayweather Jr. That is the "place" where money are Cheesy
Floyd Mayweather Jr is a really smart person and if you look back Floyd knew he had the best opportunity to fight Conor McGregor and make a ton of money because of his persona and Conor too knew about it and so is the reason he started poking about a possible fight in social medias and during interviews and the fans got excited because during that period everyone felt like Conor McGregor was invincible and could defeat even the greatest defensive boxer of all time and so was the reason there was a huge hype and we know what happened, Conor Gassed out and got knocked out eventually by Floyd Mayweather, you have to remember Floyd usually never knocks out any boxer and now who will be spending money to watch that rematch in a PPV Tongue.
3519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if you have 1 btc what would be the coin that you buy and hold ? on: December 18, 2019, 07:20:38 PM

Why not invest in any of the projects on this list? I think ETH and BNB are good choices for us to buy and hold for long term, currently the prices of BNB and ETH have gone down very low compared to a few months ago and ETH and BNB are also 2 altcoins that I am investing with BTC in this market
I am yet to understand the hype behind BNB, it is just a utility token created solely by an exchange and they are having a huge trading volume right now and we have seen many exchanges come and go in a short period of this market and hence i will not risk my money investing in it, i know that the investors are getting their profit till now but how long is a big question for me.

When it comes to ETH i invested during the initial phase and i sold majority of my investment when it touched $10 USD, lets take a look at the current state of ETH, they will be rolling their updates and then what, what is the maximum cap, i like their architecture and it is a potential project but economically speaking i do not see anything that could attract huge investment right now. It is possible that we might see a change in that later when a big project will come up with something that could aide ETH.

I think the top 10 coins are having good future projects.
These are the top ten projects
  • Ethereum : Expecting a turn around with the upgrade but nothing will happen.
  • XRP: Centralized shit coin and i really do not expect anything great.
  • Tether:  Shady as hell and i will not dare to hold for more than a few hours if i am converting it to fiat.
  • Bitcoin Cash: Fork coins and i am not expecting any wonders.
  • Litecoin: I hold some and likely experiment with upgrades well before BTCitcoin does.
  • EOS: Never bothered to invest till now but it looks interesting because of their blockchain architecture.
  • Binance Coin: Will never invest in those either as i am not expecting them to last in the next ten years.
  • Bitcoin SV: another fork coin, Some development going on and i am holding some and the future is yet to be seen.
  • Tezos:Looks interesting and i noticed it because they used Caml programming language.

To be frank i will not invest in any of these coins right now.
