3521  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: We are HaoBTC, a wallet service that pays our users interest on: June 05, 2015, 10:56:35 AM
what's the interest rate?

I get 5%+ APR for holding BitUSD in my LOCAL wallet for example.
3522  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safe and secure cloud service for crypto data storage ? on: June 05, 2015, 09:59:31 AM
okay, i checked out storj.io. it looks promising. Are the data be encrypted automatically or do i need to encrypt it manually before uploading?

check out storj.io - it's exactly what you're looking for. but they're still in beta.

since you know how to use encryption, every cloud storage is fine.

mega.co.nz or dropbox should work.

of course it's encrypted. but it can't hurt to use a true crypt container Smiley

The cloud may be accessible to other persons than you. There has been malicious activity with cloud services in the past.
To prevent losing your bitcoins on the cloud run several crypto algorithms and to use a very strong private key. Because if you don't, your bitcoins will be gone for sure.

Sorry, I was referring to storj. mega is encrypted to some degree. dropbox not as far as I know.

But you're correct - strong passwords are always needed. I backup my wallets in a true crypt container. ofc every wallet is protected by a strong password too Smiley

3525  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY CPIG BTCLend xpyerr.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: June 05, 2015, 08:35:15 AM
Isn't that why this thread is here, to advertise paycoin?
you want me to read everything at a different forum?

no, you don't have to read through this thread. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=josh+homero+garza+scam

this thread is a discussion about several bitcoin & paycoin related services by GAW and fellow fraudsters.
3526  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY CPIG BTCLend xpyerr.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: June 05, 2015, 08:18:14 AM

accusing potential investors is a really big turnoff by the way. Where did some people learn their public relations skills?

wait, you want to invest in paycoin?

why yes, this is a great opportunity for the likes of you. make sure to check out hashtalk.ch
3527  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY CPIG BTCLend xpyerr.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: June 05, 2015, 08:00:21 AM

Lets see if I got this right.

Paycoin was formerly named Hashcoin, and it emerged out of the mining section of bitcointalk.

So paycoin took a different route to begin with, than most other coins take.

But what is it that is giving people incentive or motivating people to buy paycoins?

I am curious, I see paycoin did quite well and has been up high on the leader boards at cryptsy for some time.

nope. try again.

Thank you for replying to me, but your answer isn't very clear.

Not only did paycoin emerge out of the mining section, but it also has this thread which is in the bitcoin section of the forum, when alot of other 'altcoins' are restricted to posting only in the altcoin section at bitcointalk.
And this thread is amongst the top 10 busiest threads at bitcointalk.

Can you say why this thread is here, and not in the altcoin section of the forum?

nope. paycoin emerged from hashcoin, which was the idea of a certain fraudster (with a brilliant cock though).

3531  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CloudThink.IO removed management pictures after being caught with stealing on: June 05, 2015, 05:27:32 AM

1. For users asking for mining address, mining pool and other mining information:

How in the hell did you arrive at the conclusion that we are offering cloud mining? Did you even bother to READ OUR WEBSITE? Someone starting asking questions like: "where's the mining address?" "show us the mining address" and then others with NO RESEARCH WHATSOEVER have started to ask these questions and calling us a scam or ponzy because we don't want to provide this information.

THIS SHOULD BE VERY CLEAR IF YOU DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO READ OUR WEBSITE: https://cloudthink.io

I AM JUST ONE OF MANY EMPLOYEES OF CLOUDTHINK, DON'T EXPECT ME TO KNOW EVERYTHING

Read your website, first thing I saw was: Headline "CloudThink is the #1 Self-Sustainable Bitcoin Mining Service in the World."

so, tl;dr scam.
3532  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Twitter Tweets! 9K+ FOLLOWERS! on: June 05, 2015, 05:06:22 AM
too much money. Your account is worth maybe 2 satoshi per tweet at most.
Some people have 100K followers and dont get what your asking when they sell tweets.
I will make you an offer though. 100 litoshi for 50 tweets.
deal?

His account is probably fake but if it was real his price would be reasonable, did you take a look at the twitter campaigns here? They pay up to 0.005 per tweet for less followers than 9k and you can post like 10-20 times so his price is not crazy

https://www.twitteraudit.com/thejykim the audit is interesting though. it's still a fake account, but he put some work in it to make it look real.
3533  Other / Off-topic / Re: Facebook is to use PGP encryption? on: June 05, 2015, 05:01:44 AM
Users can now request all notifications and sensitive emails to be encrypted using Facebook’s publicly posted PGP key.

does facebook have your private key? In this case, this announcement it worthless.

UPDATE:

BTC Lend is a FinCEN registered MSB operating, allegedly illegally, in the state of Florida with their LLC based in Delaware.

The service was COMPROMISED for the SECOND time and customer coins were LOST for the second time (second confirmed time).

Carmelo then posted that everything was solved (as quoted and archived below) and no customer coins were lost.

Cryptsy and Bitrex were notified of the theft.

Addresses for the stolen coins.

I don't believe the public has been notified of any details yet?

XPY 42,000

BTC 2

@Paul Revere, some of the recent dumps may have been carmelo withdrawing from ZenCloud to buy BTC in order to payback the lost bitcoins!  Since BTC Lend has four (4) prime controllers they can likely make up the xpy.

BTC Lend may be operating at a negative balance (Fractional Reserve) right now.

I'm sure cryptsy did everything to prevent btclend from dumping allegedly stolen coins. /s

When I suggested in my post Badbitcoin.org Gives Bad Bitcoin Advice he had the temerity to claim that posts by Colonel32 here on BitcoinTalk were made by an impostor.

great article btw. and lol for badbitclown in the comments, too funny Cheesy
