Another scary example of Punycode phishing attack in use: Real PayPal.com Versus Fake PayPal.com.  If the domain, created using Cyrillic scripts "raural.com" was registered, the way that Unicode-browsers will actually render that domain in Latin is as "paypal.com." In theory, phishers could pass around that link and set up a fake version of the PayPal site to harvest logins and credit card data. Not all Latin letters are represented in Cyrillic, for instance, but for companies that can have their brand compromised, we hope they look at locking those domains up quickly. Pretty scary, no?

Do not pick a mixer from either of those linked sites, or pick either of the mixers showing up in that screenshot! You have a high chance of being scammed if you do.
Already edited this post. This is another example of how easy it is to get scammed these days. The first place to look for info is the web and this is what we get. Almost all links on the first page of Google search are scams when you look for "BTC mixers" query. To be honest, the only mixer I know and which have a good reputation is Chipmixer, additionally, it is the only mixer considered to be safe to use. Some time ago Bitcointalk member wrote a bachelor thesis about mixing services/anonymous bitcoin transactions: Breaking Mixing Services, where he proved that ChipMixer is the only mixer which is safe to use if you know what you are doing of course  . |

I think this is easy to do when you have help and maybe Yahoo already is or will be working soon with an additional manager or somebody he knows and trusts as a quality checker. I would do the same and at first, I would try to do it solo, and if that wasn't possible I would just seek help. Yobit can afford to hire even a few high-quality managers, I assume, when they are running the biggest signature campaign on the forum right now. |

You were really unlucky OP to find three scammy mixers in a row. I wonder why haven't you done a little research on mixers services first?
Especially, here on Bitcointalk should be ChipMixer ads visible everywhere and additionally, there are a lot of reviews very easy to find about BTC mixing services.
I tried to search in Google for mixers using "BTC mixers" query and found out that there are a couple on the top of the first page which I totally don't know and have never heard about them before.
Now I am not so surprised that one can be a victim of scam mixers, especially a newbie in crypto because Google is the first place to look.

...Keep thinking about this and maybe bootstrap file works better (faster) in POS coins because if I remember correctly, I have used it only for alts like Pivx, Dash, Bitsend, Masternodecoin and never in POW mined coins like our old good Bitcoin?
That's because Bitcoin have many full nodes with fast upload speed while AFAIK most altcoin have few full nodes with mediocre upload speed. If there aren't many Bitcoin full node or upload speed of bitcoin node isn't fast, downloading bootstrap would be faster. I was afraid that the number of full nodes may decrease drastically taking into consideration the size of the blockchain which is technically too high for a hard disk of a PC. I was running a full node for almost 4 years because Bitcoin-QT was the only one available wallet when I started to use and later mine BTC. Additionally, I always heard that the best thing we can do to support the network is to run a full node but in today's reality, I rather doubt if average people decide to do it through downloading the whole blockchain because of the size. There is no comparison to the times when a few hours of synchronization and a medium-class computer was enough to be a happy owner of a full node. Despite everything, the number of full nodes increases every year and today we have already 9137 according to https://bitnodes.earn.com/. It looks like a phenomenon to me. It would be great if some solution could be implemented to speed up the synchronization because it would be only worst during the time. |

The topic on types of bitcoin transaction is meaningful, but after reading I still don't know that how cheaper transaction with Segwit address is in comparison with Legacy address.
every transaction has different parts, version, input list which include previous transaction hash, signature..., output list,... if we simplify it to something like this: [version][outpoint][signature][outscript][locktime]
in legacy transactions, this is the structure and the entire thing is used for calculating the size and paying the fee based on that. when you use SegWit this structure changes a little [version][outpoint][outscript][signature][locktime]
and the size is calculated by using everything except the signature so you'll end up with a smaller size and pay a smaller fee in total. of course the more correct thing to say is that we are no longer using "size" we are using "virtual size" which is 1/4 of the tx weight which is calculated by using 3x base size (without witness) + total size (with witness) Great explanation, short and detailed. I think even a newbie can now understand why fees are smaller in SegWit transactions. It's because the smaller size which equals a smaller fee. |

Conclusion: This investment looks like the best way to lose this 0.05 BTC.
Not when you are the first one to get in . Pyramid style ponzi scheme where the first wave get all the riches... This is another lie to convince people that if they invest fast enough there is a big chance for profit but the truth is that Ponzi Pyramid Schemes will only pay back at the start small and average amounts only to make advertising. Still, this will be a small percentage of the first movers who will be paid if not greedy and not invested too much because even if you are first but invest a lot you will never see this money back. I am talking from my own experience and I know this industry already 15 years. If something changes here then only for worse. |

Masz rację, że ja już straciłem nadzieję na totalną Bitcoinową rewolucję, o której piszesz, a przecież też marzyło mi się to i widziałem BTC jako szansę na wyzwolenie dla nas wszystkich. Szkoda, że to nadal są tylko nie spełnione marzenia. |
