well, you are in violation of your own rules, advertise bot sites for gambling. (despite the fact that the rules of the site prohibit any bots).

We're not advertising anything. I said you were.

unlike you, I teach people to trade, to earn on trade, it is trade-the main source of profit, not faucet.

Irrelevant but I actually trade futures for my real income this is just a hobby job for the UK morning before the Wall St. open.

The fact that users decide to play-so it's only their decision, I do not force them to lose. Moreover, recently I was convinced that you have dishonest mechanisms, if you play, only on licensed gambling games, and not on self-made, which you can twist as you like.

Licensed by whom? A government authority that inspects an RNG once a year? No thanks, I'll stick to provably fair sites where I can verify for myself if they are cheating.

Write that botnet have cost recognition captchas - even though everyone knows what a botnet is software for captcha recognition, which recognizes free.

For someone who claims to be knowledgeable on the matter, you seem to have missed that automatic captcha solving on a large scale is extremely resource intensive. They have hosting costs to cover.

You're someone who makes money from advertising the illusion of free money with your bot that uses very expensive captcha solvers. They pay the fees and you take the referral income. Then they lose 2x more than they claimed from the faucet gambling and you pocket the referral income on that as well. You certainly are a hypocrite to accuse us.
3523  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 29, 2018, 06:23:45 AM

No. I literally just received an email from wetsuit saying he has restricted the top 2 bonuses in each category from accounts that don't gamble. The botnets were using this to counteract the reduction in base reward.

That's strange, as I did gamble before. I'm receiving the message that I've to play on HILO/ buy lottery tickets.

I'm guessing it works like everything else on the site. That's a ratio of the total from free spins against total wagered. He will have set this at a very low threshold as he said he thought it would only affect the bots and very few people would notice it.

Are there any restrictions when it comes to redeeming rewards?

No. I literally just received an email from wetsuit saying he has restricted the top 2 bonuses in each category from accounts that don't gamble. The botnets were using this to counteract the reduction in base reward.

This faucet is a great service to the community....why to people troll on this forum so hard?

Yes, this faucet has a great service to the bitcoin community with it's reputation and trust. It is one of most succeed faucet in bitcoin world. And a lot of bots are now working to get benefit from the faucet by abusing it. So they are blocking the abusers. Unfortunately some non abusers also getting blocked for this. And they are making some nonsense commitment here...and making troll. This forum helper TheQuin is here and trying to help them out contacting admin wetsuit. As he mentioned wetsuit is busy now. I think he is busy for the new improvement of the website. When he came back he will solve all these.

He's actually away dealing with personal life things at the moment. We're going to improve the handling of accounts that get blocked for abusing the faucet (getting caught by our automatic bot detection) when he gets back.

I agree. This faucet has been and is still the best faucet for the community.
Having said that, there will always be trolls, botters and abusers of all shapes and sizes.

I say keep banning those assholes Smiley

Thanks for your support.
3525  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 29, 2018, 05:53:03 AM
What do you mean it is too much? Is there any exact times of claiming that can related into banning out account? I believe that if they have time to do it manually that means they will claim it of course. Last time if I still got time, I can make up to 12-16 hours per day which is pretty high too but there is nothing happened with my account. So may be you can give us some regulations on claiming amount per day

Giving regulations would be the same as giving instructions to the botters as how to avoid detection. It's not as simple as the number of times in a day, a few people are being blocked because they match the same pattern a very large botnet was using.
3526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Someone won freebitco.in lottery already? on: May 28, 2018, 01:18:13 PM
was just wondering if someone here has win some btc on the lottery
playing it since 6 months and never win any lotto, i'm starting to think that the adm manipulate the whole system  Roll Eyes
So many times I have wondered this and kept asking myself those who have been winning that lottery. Sometimes, I even see some ridiculous number of tickets winning the first position and then I get curious to know if real persons are actually winning this stuff.

If they weren't real then the extra tickets would just increase the prize pool. That means the house would have to pay out larger when a real user did win so there is absolutely no advantage to doing that.

Although, they as transparent with it as possible but still would want to see or know if there is anyone in the community as well who has since I have never won for the past 2 years I have been putting some few stuffs to get some ticket there but it is normal to know winning a lottery in the midst of millions of users can be pretty hard.

Try scrolling up the page a little to see that the week before last 1st prize winner posted here. There are three more further back in this thread.
3527  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 28, 2018, 12:19:06 PM
What do you mean? This is suppose to be faucet site right? So why you guys blocked him just because he abuse the faucet, does not make a sense here. This is not suppose to be blocked since freebitco.in is abuse website, only on this site people can claim their faucet without scare being banned or blocked. Any reason towards this issue?

It means they claimed the faucet so much that it looked like a feat of endurance that only a bot could manage. Blocking those accounts is a way to find out if there is a human on the other end.
3528  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 3 Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency Wallets You SHOULDN’T Use on: May 28, 2018, 11:47:11 AM
After buying some bitcoin on Coinbase, simply move out your coins over to your own wallet immediately to prevent problems from happening.

You should also check their Terms of Service before you do that.

at work i use my pc , at night i use my phone for free roll,, that is different ip with 1 single acc ,, so there are 2 different ip and they are all blocked ,,

Can you try and use another IP address to find out if it really is the IP that is blocked. Mostly it means the account has been blocked for faucet abuse. Then PM me to let me know which it is and I'll see what I can do.

So we have established that the account is blocked for faucet abuse. PM me and I'll see what I can do.

3533  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: May 28, 2018, 08:51:55 AM
and for post# 501+ i guess this is due to mega threads like Wall Observer, if we exclude this, I'm sure percentage will be much higher on opening post.

I think it is often a good idea to remove outliers from statistics. Wall Observer would be a good example along with this thread and the April Fool thread that distort the OP end.
3534  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 28, 2018, 08:42:24 AM
how about my ip.. why my ip has been blocker for several days,, my id is 11521130
last april i got block because i bought new phone and forget to off the data saver,, now i got block again for the same reason,, but i really didn't use any vpn and proxy..

Can you try and use another IP address to find out if it really is the IP that is blocked. Mostly it means the account has been blocked for faucet abuse. Then PM me to let me know which it is and I'll see what I can do.
3535  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 28, 2018, 08:02:30 AM
The question is how many people know about this forum and this thread dedicated to Freebitco.in? There might be some collateral damage amongst the 100k+ accounts that was deleted. Yes, if it was affective to block the bots, then I would say, GO FOR IT, but these bots are highly affective and adapt to challenges like that.

That's a fair point about the forum. Most people contact us via the form on the FAQ page. I don't know how many did that at the moment but I will do soon because I've been given a promotion and I'll be taking over all support not just here.

I just want to clarify that no accounts were deleted they were only blocked from using the faucet. The rest of the site continues to work for them and if they do get in contact with us they mostly get a second chance not abuse the faucet.

By the time the bots are stopped or the accounts blocked, the damage was already done. I think a better approach would be to disrupt the scripts or the processes that these bots rely on.  Huh

If that were technically possible we would, we've come to the conclusion (as have many other sites) that the only way to stop faucet abuse is to make it unprofitable for them by reducing what we give out to below their running costs.

Blocking accounts on mass like that disrupts them, causes them inconvenience, and means they probably take a bit of a financial hit on those accounts. It's not meant to be the solution in itself.

3536  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 28, 2018, 04:57:30 AM

The rewards are only reduced for accounts that don't do at least a little gambling, buying lottery tickets or deposit to keep a higher balance.

Whatever move you do, those botnets will keep adapting and finding ways to drain the faucet. I think the only thing you can do is lower the base reward even more for such accounts so that it isn't profitable anymore.

I suppose the problem here is that not all such accounts are bots. I wouldn't be surprised if most of them aren't.

babygun is correct, the only way to stop them is to make it unprofitable for them. There are costs incurred to run their botnets. We could have just reduced the base reward for everybody, but by using a minimum wagering requirement we feel it targets the bots effectively. There might be a few people that get the new lower base payout but the vast majority are bots. If you look at the last lot of accounts wetsuit blocked from the faucet, out over 100k+ accounts only around 10 people contacted me.
3537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Block Explorer thinks my address is invalid on: May 27, 2018, 01:09:36 PM
Ah yes, but that was 5 months ago, when it was certainly the case. And still the case if the services you use can't support it.

Which makes it all the more amazing that blockchain.info and some other block explorers still don't support it fully. Since Bitcoin Core: 0.16.0 was released they really do not have any excuse now.

Bech32+SegWit definitely the way to go for now. Electrum is what I'd recommend, since the client supports spending/receiving either.

I'd recommend that as well. Electrum makes it very easy to keep multiple wallets, so you can have a legacy address one as well for withdrawing to from the sites that don't support bech32 yet.
3538  Other / Meta / Re: New Report to moderator stats ;) thank you theymos on: May 27, 2018, 08:58:53 AM
I have to find the healthy balance between the amount of reporting and replying Smiley

I think personally it's somewhere around 50%. Whenever I've reported more posts than I've written I think it's time to take a break and do something else for the rest of the day.

The thing I'm finding most useful about the report history page is I don't have to spend time trying to find things in the modlog to know what happened. I've never really known whether what I consider to be a shitpost is worth reporting, but so far every one I have done has been deleted.
3539  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 27, 2018, 04:58:52 AM
MULTIPLY BTC ROLLS PLAYED
11,807
MULTIPLY BTC WINNINGS
-0.00041163BTC

This first is how much gambling I've done, and the second should make it clear why I've had to be more careful about it. Sometimes I get multiple losses in a row (10 or more) even when the odds of winning each are supposed to be over 30% each time, but that's another issue and there have been some times that I have had good wins, so that's not the focus of my complaint. But with well over 11,000 rolls in about a year and a half it's hard to claim I'm just "draining the faucet."

I will admit I've only bought a few lottery tickets, and that's because the chance of winning is basically none.

Finally, as for depositing real money, I prefer to keep real money in a bank for reasons of both accessibility and security.

MM

Those stats only tell half the story. The free-roll stats are the other half, the calculation is a ratio of the two things.

If you do not want to gamble then maintaining a balance in Bitcoin above the value of $50 will return you to the full base reward.
3540  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 26, 2018, 02:32:25 PM
Negative: The lowest reward is down AGAIN. Now it's not even 1/20 of the second lowest but one or two satoshis LESS than 1/20. This is getting ridiculous. We can't take advantage of BTC being down to try to reach that magic number of 30,000. I remember the reduction (originally from 1/10) was supposedly to frustrate bots - hasn't that been solved yet? And in any case, why make things more difficult and inconvenient for the honest players?

This morning, for example:

***0 - 9885  0.00000011 BTC*** (not .00000013)
9886 - 9985  0.00000265 BTC
9986 - 9993  0.00002654 BTC
9994 - 9997  0.00026543 BTC
9998 - 9999  0.00265428 BTC
10000  0.02654284 BTC

MM

The rewards are only reduced for accounts that don't do at least a little gambling, buying lottery tickets or deposit to keep a higher balance.
The bots pay for captcha solves and when we reduced the reward for those accounts last time those botnets stopped briefly and weren't buying captchas. So the sites that sell captcha solves reduced their prices so the botnets were profitable again. This latest reduction really is the only thing we can do. It is targetted at accounts that really do nothing or very little other than draining the faucet. It is a gradual reduction by a very small % per day.
