3521  Economy / Speculation / Re: New ATH after halving? on: May 08, 2020, 08:09:59 PM
It's just like you say, before splitting a block from 12.5 btc in half, there's always madness and people are buying for a lower price. I don't think bitcoin drops after splitting, somehow sharply. I think we'll wait a little longer for ATH.
That is the thing about the all time high, just because we believe that there will be a pump and there will be an increase, which means we are all bull about the price, doesn't mean that price will go over 2x in price. Right now it is around $9.9k and that is fine, x2 of that is about 20k, that is all time high, sure it is quite close.

So, we are talking about bull versus all time high, I do not believe bitcoin will drop, I think it will go up, I think 12-14k levels are realistic after the halving, but all time high is just way too much right now. Plus it is not even about x2, we dropped to 4-5k just recently and already did x2 if you look at the right places, but moving from 4.5k to 9k is different x2 compared to going from 9k to 18k, those are very different.
3522  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis after the epidemic on: May 08, 2020, 06:56:57 PM
I am sure it will be a big deal for a while but it is not really going to be something that is unheard of before and will not pass at all. There will be a lot of debt, there will be a lot of bankruptcy, there will be a lot of "I am barely affording food at this point" level, however in 10 years we will be doing better once again, and in 15 years we will have another crash that will put it all back to this level again. As long as the system is not fixed at all we are going to keep having the same cycle all the time.

Companies and rich people can't keep getting richer and richer, eventually there will be no more money they could make, people are basically living in poverty and there are too many people who just buy stuff to survive and not luxury, so companies crash because they can't get more money from people since people are poor, so government prints money and economy crashes and companies are saved, we do this 10 more years and people go back to being too poor and so forth, its endless cycle.
3523  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people have been panic selling? I didn't. on: May 08, 2020, 04:59:57 PM
I am sure that the panic selling is do by a newbie, because for investors and traders who have long known bitcoin will choose holding.
Especially now halving will happen in a few days, if there is still panic selling is really unreasonable. But I'm sure the number of panic
selling is not much, because the price of bitcoin shows a positive trend. I analyze the bitcoin price movements continue to rise, this is
a good sign. I predict the price of bitcoin in the near future will soon touch the price of $ 10k.
Well it is already there almost and I cannot agree that newbies do the panic selling because I have seen the best traders and investors sweating when the price swings happen and recently when bitcoins touched around 4k a lot of friends of mine who, believe me, are good investors and sharp brains but they also cashed out because it felt like corona virus might had something to do with the price drop.

I personally consider investing extra money in bitcoins and hence I am not as much troubled by the price drop as much are guys who put everything on line to make some profit. It must hurt for people who sold at 4k and now thinking about buying at 9-10k the same bitcoins. Ouch, that feels bad.
3524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is your favorite gambling game? on: May 07, 2020, 08:58:14 PM
Dice is an easy game but also a good game for draining capital. Tongue
That's very true because dice comes with a constant 1% edge and there are hardly any good strategies apart from martingale which fails often than it works. The problem with dice is that we make small bets and slowly wager a lot of bitcoins which itself means we would be loosing in the long run.

Dice is my favorite gambling game, but I often run out of funds for this game. I dont know, I think this game is quite fun and I like it. 22 vote for dice shows that dice is a game that is loved by gamblers.
That's because dice has been the most common game and there are not many properly managed lottery games out there otherwise the story could have been different because lottery are more common in real casinos where they would announce numbers and you would match your lottery ticket and online casinos have failed to match the same excitement.
3525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Before Experience On Gambling...!!!! Stay Safe. on: May 07, 2020, 08:12:32 PM
Well I usually stop gambling whenever I have that kind of feeling it really bothers me.
I though I was the only gambler who have this kind of issue,
Thanks and stay safe .
Been some days since I have not gambled and I can tell you, I start to feel what people say when they call gambling as addiction because now that I am away from gambling for a few days I feel like I have lots of time for other activities and a lot of bills were started to add up which I have managed to clear thanks to the no-gambling no-loss thing. I really feel what wives and girlfriend must go through once we gamble because we are just too busy and can't dedicate enough time and like OP said there are physical and mental changes as well.

I am considering to quit gambling now but even if I gamble I will make sure I gamble with lower stakes and try to avoid gambling on working days and only gamble on weekends (although during this tough time we are all feeling like all the days as weekend but nothing to do).
3526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Play? on: May 07, 2020, 06:42:13 PM
For every win, only 95% of the pot will be transfered to your wallet and the remaining 5% will go to your handpicked charity that is also available on the platform.
So, we are paying 5% to the charity from our wins and the casino pays 1% from their wins technically, how does this even make logic?
Casinos are the better earners and I should say only earners between gamblers and casinos so they must take the initiative and make better contributions so I feel good with the idea only if the reverse happens, where the casinos pay 5% of their profits monthly and we as gamblers are happy to pay 1-2% of donation to the charity.

In every losing bet, 1% of it will be donated to their handpicked charity
Sounds good to me but the charity must be wonder is there will be any casinos who will ever do this. At the same time, we cannot argue that casino will not do that forever.
3527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things you shouldn't do when gambling at casino this time... on: May 07, 2020, 04:55:26 PM
Your outlined points are very valid and should be adhere to in the course of this journey in gambling. One more point that's is as important as others is: as a gambler don't be greedy while you stand on that online gambling casino or even at the traditional gambling platforms. This has ruined many lives and Still ruining some who don't want to come to the knowledge of the truth. Don't be greedy as a gambler and this will help your win and take home profit.
Are you even serious? I mean the point he made are just for fun in my opinion and not even a drunk person would take them seriously. Please re-visit the thread once again and see his Don'ts list and he even said don't take the thread too seriously Grin.

Anyways coming back to topic it was quite funny but I don't like the last point because it hurts me. I mean yeah it is wise to not be with someone who might have corona but spread hate should not be the proper way of doing it. I mean no one knows they have corona and they would intentionally cause you the same so well maintain distance and I do understand you said all the points in a fun manner so all is good.
3528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 7 Things have to do to become a Good Crypto Trader on: May 06, 2020, 05:43:24 PM
Well, even if you decide to trade all the money in your account at once in Bitcoin, I don't think you will lose everything, just a certain percentage. How much you're trading all depends on how much you have in your main account. The highest you can trade is the lowest for another person.

As for the number four point you made, you're right about that in a way, but I think over 80% of people here are just here to make money. I don't see anything wrong with trying to make money, except when you want it quick. If you keep trying to make money quick, then you wouldn't make it, because you will keep lacking the patience it takes to achieve what you want. Having patience in everything we do is very important.

3530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Day dreamer! on: May 05, 2020, 09:18:40 PM
That's probably the biggest reasons why there is less people doing bounty nowadays even during pandemic situations but there are a lot more hardcore people instead of just softies. I mean think about it, would you rather have 1000 people applying that are all hungry to make the next big thing? Or would you rather have 50 people who know what they are doing and think of this like a professional work?

I rather have 50 professional bounty hunters who see this as work instead of 1000 people who have no clue and just wants to be a part to not miss out on the next big thing. I really don't know how to become a bounty hunter properly, like as a job, so I do not go in everything like that, but I do time to time rarely get into it because I like the projects myself, not because I want to make some quick cash.
3531  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic outcome on: May 05, 2020, 08:45:10 PM
It is very likely that we will be soon witness another crisis after this pandemic event many people around the world are becoming jobless, in other word no financial to face the reality when this such phenomenon exit, add up the mortgage and bills to pay for, it is sure pain in the back to workaround and see what we can do for the upcoming month during this pandemic.

For me I will just thrown away any things that can be sell off, to support what do I need for, and stay on my list to dos after the event I don't have a family for the moment sure give me a time to not worry about.

How about you give me your thought on this event  I might be adapt your idea and get some of it to surest my stability when the time comes,
I really hope that this is not the case. A lot of companies here are now trying to reduce their workforce and many people have lost their jobs. Companies are losing because of the lockdown. The government has tried to ease the lockdown but cases keep rising and I don't know what's going to follow next, if they are going to start the lockdown again or still continue to ease it and let people be on their own and try to survive by any means possible.

I am really trying to do my best and make earnings and take care of my family. I really hope that this doesn't get worse, I seriously pray to God that it comes to and end.
3532  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Crypto Jobs 2020 on: May 05, 2020, 08:09:20 PM
These are not the only ones, there are so many and I've been lucky a few times to get a cryptocurrency job on LinkedIn. It wasn't really a cryptocurrency job, but the company asked me whether I accept Bitcoin as payment and I agreed. I was able to carry out the job and got paid several times with Bitcoin and it's really one of the best experiences I ever had with Bitcoin.

The job was a remote job and I never had to go to their office to work, just staying at home and doing my business. I have also seen a few open positions on Xapo website and the coolest thing about these jobs is that they are also remote jobs, and they employ people from every part of the world ,as long as you're qualified for the job.
3533  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: May 05, 2020, 06:46:43 PM
Some people joined with the usernames they use other places as well so for example if my bitcointalk name and bustabit name is same (which it is but I am not a whale Cheesy ) that means if I wager 100 btc per day, you will find out who I am and come either begging or try to hack me, which is why I think leaderboard has a challenge to overcome.

In my opinion, this is not something that a leaderboard has to worry about. It's the responsibility of the player himself, whether he makes himself vulnerable with unique usernames across multiple platforms.
Nevertheless, leaderboards on other platforms do offer the possibility that usernames are "hidden". This is the case with Windice, for example:

If you as a user do not want to appear in such a Leaderboard you can hide your username and do not run the risk of being harassed.
In that case are we making the names hidden or are we hiding them all together? I mean there are two ways to go with this, one is having a leaderboard option on your account, you click on hide me and it hides you, it shows the top 10 that didn't clicked and shows themselves, that way you are technically not seeing the top 10, but you are seeing the people who are willing to be shown and top 10 of those people.

The second option is to just have "hidden" on the leaderboard, you can click on hide me again like the other one, it actually shows you the real top 10, but some of those names are censored as "hidden name" so you will not know who it is. Those are two very different approaches, I don't know which one I would prefer more, but I think the first one is closer to my heart.
3534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering More or Wagering Less on: May 05, 2020, 05:53:16 PM
The reason why gambling sites offers a wagering competition is that they know they are not the one who's gonna lose here, they are confident that many gamblers will participate and its gonna be their chance to collect more money from their players.
Right and they very well are aware of the fact that wagering prizes will only bring them more customers and if even they pay some prizes that's not going to hurt them in the long term and while house is the expected loss for a gambler but usually people lose much more than the actual house edge.

I have been betting since a long while and I can safely say that if you are thinking that you will only loose 1 bitcoin on wagering 100 at a one percent house edge then you are mistake because gambling will usually make you chase your loss and you will loose much more.

Overall I prefer wagering less and cash out profits as you make them because what you win is not what you take home, what you withdraw is actually your profit else you will slowly burn it all. I made a big hit on slots a few months ago and I was so tempted that the same slots game slowly churned up all my profit and it never even felt like I lost a big bet at all.
3535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Before Experience On Gambling...!!!! Stay Safe. on: May 05, 2020, 01:22:23 PM
As everyday, ending the day with sleep is the routine of everyone. Same as that I went to sleep with my girl, she was sleeping next to me placing her hands over me. In between I woke at the midnight, and I wasn't able to sleep till 1:00 AM. I started to gamble on mobile, my girl has placed her hands over me. Within a minute she suddenly woke and started to cry what happened to you. Your body sense different, and kept questioning, are you feeling Ok. Please feel free to say if you're feeling uneasy of anything. I understood it is due to the gambling, consoled her promising that I won't gamble for now. She advised me, when we're in sleep and an immediate increase in the heart pumping has got highest chance of cardiac arrest. Finally it has got to be one of the memorable days of my gambling.

Lets stay safe while gambling, though it is fun and excitement source there is lots of pressure being experienced by each and every gambler as we risk our earnings for a bigger amount.

I do not think this has to do anything with gambling. You kid may be woke up due to some other problem or perhaps frightened in the dream. I also gamble or play any other games at night, if i am not able to sleep.  Smiley
Probably you are gambling in the right manner. For example, whenever I do go for betting on soccer, I never get any excitement compared to how I do gamble dicing. Not all gambling are capable of pumping your adrenaline. People who are choosing selective gambling type may not get any heath issues like how OP is demonstrating. It means we never need to quit gambling completely because there are other types of gambling which supports peace of mind and not creating any health issues.

It is a proven medical fact that weak hearted people should not gamble. Also anyone who is gambling continuously, may experience heart related problems over the time because high trilled based gambling may be weakening their heart slowly.
3536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of the two will you choose as a gambler? on: May 05, 2020, 06:52:44 AM

Option 1: Email Based Authentication

Option 2: Keys Based Authentication

I will go with the email based authentication. I am a part time gambler and therefore i do not put a big amount of money on gambling sites. So i will prefer an easy authentication method based on email. If i had a lot of money deposited on gambling sites, then for sure the Keys Based Authentication best suited me.
This gives me a new idea where the gambling sites could actually ask the gambler to choose their own security option and the gambler knows if he will be playing small or big and hence he can decide the method based on that.

There can be another way where the website asks you a simple security code of 6 digits and you just have to remember that and enter it every time you withdraw this times both energy, time and resources. Alternative you can set some security questions maybe that you can answer and withdraw your funds and there are numerous other ways to set a easy yet string security for gamblers.
3537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Gambling Life During Quarantine on: May 04, 2020, 08:39:42 PM
It has been more than 40 days now I am under lockdown and I have not gambled yet. I did not feel like gambling in this period of uncertainty. No clue as to when things might get normal or I will have my job, too many things in my mind at the moment. Therefore did not have the urge to gamble at all.
Yes, these tough times have come like a blessing for a lot of people who were actually trapped in a loopy life where they had a fixed routine, fixed entertainment timings and never had the chance to sit back and assess what wrong they might be doing and what must be stopped.

I am myself a gambler and while I have not stopped entirely I have actually limited myself to a certain limit where I try and cap a max loss just like we do in automated betting in dice. I have gained much more control over my betting because when there was no limits I used to earn good but a big part was quietly going into the pockets of casino owners.
3538  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to buy - question to Hodlers on: May 04, 2020, 07:38:38 PM
It is easy to see when it drops, it is harder for some people to get in when it drops, that is the problem. Hell the whole reason why it drops is the people who sell, so those people actually got panic and sold their coins instead of buying at those prices, some person actually dropped their bitcoins under 5k this year, they actually did that on a year we moved above 10k, so it is not about seeing when price goes down and seeing when it goes up.

Some people are just too afraid, they are afraid when going down and afraid when going up as well, some people see bitcoin going up and buy it at the top because they fear they are going to miss out, and same people actually sell when it goes down because they fear it will go down further. So they just purely lose and leave.
3539  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: He Lost His Investment. See what Happened! on: May 04, 2020, 06:56:48 PM
You do not trust any other person with your bitcoin. Simple as that? I mean why would you trust someone else with your money when you can do it yourself? Sure if you are not really a great investor and you can't trade, just don't do it? There are investments that are so simple that requires nothing. So, just go to bank and open an interest savings account, simple as that.

However if you really want to make a lot of money, and you risk it by giving all your money to someone else, you kinda deserve to lose all your money, there is nothing you can really do to make that much money that quickly. The second and third is basically same, do not trust others, there is really no reason to trust telegram people, they could very well be scammers so no need to trust them.
3540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Intelligent Masternodes? on: May 02, 2020, 06:44:20 PM
Masternode must be a worst idea in my opinion because it let our money to be spent for VPS whereas with POS you may spend all your money into cryptos which again may work for you. But the money you spend for VPS is going away from this crypto space which will indirectly affect all of us in long run. Just take time to think about it.

I mean every single penny must be important.; So, why should we allow money to be going away from this crypto space in the name of setting up masternode. All masternode operators must think about adopting POS algorithm which must be the great thing we must have because it encourages the investors by paying interest to their money.
