If just 1% of the transparent market (that's all altcoins + Bitcoin) move to the private/anonymous market, then out of the 10bn market cap of the transparent market, there'll be a 100mn market cap for the private/anonymous market to be claimed by anonymous coins (drk, zero, anoncoin, clones implementing zero/darksend etc).

If there's more government crackdown on Bitcoin and the likes, then the 1% will go at least 10% and we're looking at 1bn market cap for anonymous coins as users try to escape government suppression, asset confiscation etc.

These aren't projections for the next day or week though.

Let's say there are 7k coins per day for the next year or so and 1000 masternodes with 1m DRK commited (1000DRK x 1000 nodes).

So there'll be 7k x 365 = 2.55m coins next year of which 255k will go to the masternodes.

So a 1000DRK node brings back 255 DRK for the year, aside from any transaction fees. Not bad. Could be less or more though, depending the number of nodes or coins.

Just goes to show how different these increases are... BC multiplied itself in price 15-20x from its highest previous price (at its peak), DRK just 2x from its 0.002 levels and 3x from the 0.0014 levels.

IIRC the hacker bought up to 0.0075 and then I got it up to 0.00795 or 0.00799 by mistake*. So the absolute top price was legit, even if it was a few DRKs. The pump wasn't legit** though.

* Thought I was seeing an extra zero (0.000799) and clicked too fast.

** Then again, do we even know where the BTCs that are buying DRK now come from? They may as well be MtGox BTCs that are finding their way to altcoins.

Price affects profitability. DRK is now more profitable than any Scrypt coin.

We haven't reached it yet. All time high is 0.008 (0.00799).

Walls moving to 0.0043... we'll see 0.005 tonight easy if that goes on and noone dumps.

...so I think the issue is more of a communication thing. Wrong image projected outwards if someone appears to be selling their own coin or something. But it's not like DRK is a country coin where the premine coins are being moved for selloff, so... anyone can do what they want with their coins. Just be careful with things that might affect the market.

Actually the long term price will be better if those who are trigger happy with their selling sell now so that they have nothing to sell later on.

We were in the 0.0022 levels like 2 months ago without any pump and DarkSend being a future prospect rather than a functioning release candidate, so... the only pump DRK has ever had, was from 0.0022 to 0.008 with some hacked BTCs and that didn't end up really well because it f**ed up the price to 0.0012-0.0017 levels for the next two months.

If it goes to something like 300-500-1000% up we could consider the term pump. Right now there's not much rise really.
