3522  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some questions about Mr. Satoshi. on: January 26, 2015, 05:56:17 PM

Well , his account on Peer to Peer foundation got hacked as far as I know and here is a post where the hacker says that he doxed him => http://p2pfoundation.ning.com/forum/topics/bitcoin-open-source?commentId=2003008%3AComment%3A55276
"Dear Satoshi. Your dox, passwords and IP addresses are being sold on the darknet. Apparently you didn't configure Tor properly and your IP leaked when you used your email account sometime in 2010. You are not safe. You need to get out of where you are as soon as possible before these people harm you. Thank you for inventing Bitcoin."
So we can't be for sure if he was the one who posted "I'am not dorian Nakamoto" on the first place or not him .

say, isn't there a chance that dorian or someone he hired actually hacked that account to clear dorian's name?

maybe he got greedy and decided to ask theymos to give him some money.  Grin

yeah, I just don't like dorian

3530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to trade on LocalBitcoins without going to jail on: January 25, 2015, 04:33:31 PM
if you're thinking that this might save the apple trader in the court and NOT from getting caught while doing transaction then yes, it just might work, but the poor apple trader will need a fairly good lawyer for that.  Tongue
3531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BurtW arrested on: January 25, 2015, 04:11:59 PM
I thought the USA had the most lax regulations and taxes in the world.

I thought the opposite.

and I agree with sergio as to why BurtW got arrested.

3535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone needs to caaaalm down on: January 25, 2015, 02:38:35 PM
We're all going to die anyway. One day the sun will burn out and none of this will matter. THAT is freedom.

But with regards to bitcoin...fundamentals are good and investments constantly increasing. Nothing has changed apart from the price, stop scaring yourself shitless, 2+2 STILL EQUAL 4 MMKAY?

Only thing that I could see as a problem in the long term is the economics and wealth disparity...but then I heard 1% of the population own 50% of the total economic power and wealth, so to be honest whatever happens, if bitcoin were to be adopted globally (totally or partially) it will help combat this problem. To be honest even the nature of bitcoin helps balance power.

HARRRRRRRRRI KRISHNAAAA

GOOD CALL, the price has been improving since Jannuary 20th.

20th was 5 days ago. it might go down again like the last time.

even if the price does improve, it won't be much. the price won't shot up unless we find a reason for another bubble.
3536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone needs to caaaalm down on: January 21, 2015, 05:16:53 PM

3537  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Best online wallet without fee? on: January 21, 2015, 05:06:53 PM
What do you have against Blockchain?

This. Can't you select fees in Blockchain.info like you can do with the full Bitcoin QT wallet? last time I used BLockchain.info it was a year ago tho, I dont remember.

you still can.

just don't accidentally send all your btc using the quick send feature, I had to wait for hours the last time I did that.  Sad
3538  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: January 21, 2015, 05:01:34 PM
Going to bump this thread as it should be known by everyone and maybe even stickied.

I was just going to say that

this thread is very useful, it should be stickied
3539  Other / Meta / Re: Any where I can find a complete listing of the rules? on: January 21, 2015, 04:58:15 PM
The best one can be find here: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ. It contains everything as far as I know.

thanks, man. I remember looking for something like this when I was a newbie  Grin I'm going to bookmark it just in case I forget some things in the future
3540  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Am I doing it wrong? on: January 21, 2015, 04:49:31 PM
I mine with my Red Fury hardware at 2.4Gh/s on average. I mine at Ghash.io and have also tried at Slush, but only get like 2000 satoshi per day. What's wrong? Or is this how it should be? Which way is mining profitable? Thanks!

Well, USB miner are for learning and showing off purposes. They are not for making profit.

they were making profit when they first came out.
